Welcome to part one. This is very important because we want to build the right foundation for the long journey that we're going to go on. If you don't have a foundation, then everything else that you build on top of that is not going to stand for very long. Jesus tells us to build our foundation on the Rock, and of course that rock is him, the Word.
So we want to build that foundation very clearly in this section before we dive into the spicy intrigues of history. Without scripture, it's very easy to drift into half-truths and conspiracies. Again, look at the truth or movement. Look at the truth or movement and all of the counterfeit light that is there. Half-truths that ultimately lead you into apostasies, deception, New Age thoughts, all sorts of conspiracies.
A lot of people talk about Zionism, the WF, the UN, the vaccines, Freemasonry, Illuminati, but all these are not the true evil that's in control. All the pundits out there that are talking about these things and revealing to you the truth and, oh my gosh, you're waking up from the Matrix. Well, where are they pointing you? What's the point?
The point is to know who the Beast is so that you can know who the false prophet is, working signs to get people to worship the Beast and what the Mark is. If you don't know those three things, then how can you possibly understand the trajectory of history?
When the Bible warns you that the world will marvel after the Beast, the Bible doesn't say the world will panic after the Beast. The world will be subjugated by the Beast, and they'll be crying. No, it says people are going to be in love with the Beast. Do you get it? You get how important that is? That means that the final thing coming is not going to be obvious.
People who are exposing various aspects of this dark system, that's useful, but it's useful up to a point because what really needs to be exposed is the false light because that's the final boss. That's where history is headed.
So it's easy to get lost in conspiracies without a Biblical foundation, a strong Biblical foundation. And that's the devil's strategy: to create countless satanic threads and SOPs after SOPs so that you have no clue who is actually running the show, what's happening, which direction are we going, so that you have no sense of the final destination.
These people that are exposing the UN, the WF, Zionism, and so on are so easily snared by the idea because they're also synergists that we voted in the right guy. Trump made it this time. Now we're going to usher in a golden age of prosperity, nationalism. Things are getting better. Love and light, we're doing it, folks. We kicked out the devil, gosh darn it, with our free will, with people waking up and having a Great Awakening.
We finally did it. 6,000, 7,000 years of history with this profoundly evil enemy that is tireless and working constantly, as you will soon see throughout history. A couple of good people just banded together and got rid of the devil. That's what people believe. It's just such nonsense because they don't have a Biblical foundation. They don't understand the trajectory of history, and they don't understand the devil, quite frankly. They don't really understand the devil.
So if you're distracted, then you can be deceived. That's the point: distract, distract, distract. Make you think that things are going a certain way, and then boom, got you in the net. But the Bible solves all of this, folks. And again, that's why I always return back to the Bible, back to the Word of God.
You don't need to know all the things that we're talking about today. We're going to be talking about quite a lot of things. It's going to be a very in-depth message. But you know what? I'll just reason with you. You don't need to know any of this stuff. You really don't. You need to know one thing: Revelation 13:2. The dragon, Satan, gave his throne and power and great authority to the Beast so that people, when they marvel at the Beast, they're actually worshiping Satan.
That's what you need to know. And of course, if you study a little bit of history so that you can have a second witness to what the Bible says about the Beast, it's very clear. You don't need to get lost in all this stuff. This stuff is very important in some sense. It will be important, especially for people who aren't edified on the trajectory of history.
But nevertheless, the Bible solves this problem in one verse. It tells you the locus of activity, the center of Satan's power is the Beast, the papal power, the throne of the devil. Meaning out of all of the satanic vehicles in history—secret societies, various Antichrist groups, pagans, Gnostics, occult secrets, you know, whatever, witchcraft, everything you can list—out of all those things, Satan decided in the church age to give his power to the papal throne so that all of these things would be integrated into that center.
And everything in the world, this big dark web of nonsense, moves around that center. This is the point. But that center is hidden in plain sight, so of course a lot of people are deceived by it.
Now, why the church age? Why is the church age so important? The Bible prophecies in Revelation and in Daniel are meant to be interpreted historically, meaning throughout history. This is another important point to get today. They have to be interpreted historically.
A fundamental belief that, unfortunately, a lot of people have—it's so unfortunate because again it shows that they don't really know the Lord as much as they should. God is love, right? That's what John says. God is love. Now you tell me, Adam, of these two options, which one is more loving? An infinite being who reveals all of these things about himself but then goes through the trouble of having these prophets like Daniel and John and giving them just a teeny bit of information for a tiny group of people in the future or a tiny group of people in the past that are no longer relevant?
Does that sound like the kind of God that we learned about in the Bible? Or is the Revelation in Daniel and John designed to arm every single one of his elect throughout history so that they could always open the scriptures and say, "Okay, where am I at with this? Is there a pattern that I need to be recognizing?" It's relevant for everybody throughout history.
Now, if you believe in the sovereign God of the Bible who is controlling all things, including history, and who is love and who loves all of his people in every single generation, a logic without even having to know all the proofs as to why the historicist view is right and the other two are wrong—without having to know all these things, just simply knowing the character of God—you would deduce intrinsically that it would be in God's nature to make prophecy relevant for everyone.
Does that make sense? Every child of God in every slice of time in history, generation, can benefit from Revelation, from Daniel, and so on. Of course, things become clearer as time moves forward. The reformers thought that they were under the mark of the beast, and it was being enforced with the Inquisition. And you can't blame them. You can't blame them for that. You really can't.
But of course, they didn't have the full history perspective. Nevertheless, they were able to use the Book of Revelation and identify the Antichrist power, which was the important thing. That was the important thing for them to do at the time. For us, it's the same thing. We have to use what we've been given now that we have more history, more data to understand the trajectory of history, which is not much more time—7 to 10 years.
And in that time, you're going to see the mark of the beast. You're going to see this system coming to power, enforcing worship, and so on. So we must warn others. This is our duty in this generation.
So God gave us the whole picture from now until the end so that everybody could have guidance. That is the fundamental belief behind historicism. Never mind all of the proofs as to why it's actually correct. The Jesuits, as part of the Counter-Reformation, one of the first orders of business was to take attention off of history so that you don't have a second witness. Do you understand? So you don't have a second witness against the Beast.
And they moved it either to the right or to the left—typical satanic agenda prism. Everything's about the past with the Jews of the past, you know, don't bother us, and everything's about the future, dispensationalism. And interestingly enough, they are reconciling these two lies into one delusion coming up. I talk about that in my Great Delusion series.
Either way, the Bible was meant to go along with history and to be validated by history. And of course, that's very true once you actually go and engage through that study.
I want to give you an overall view of the prophetic timeline. I discuss all of these things very in-depth in my End Time series, Great Delusion series, so on and so forth—all these things we've mentioned. So if you desire a deeper study for these things, then go watch those videos.
But either way, Revelation 12 tells you that Satan was thrown down to Earth because there's no more legal standing in heaven. He's no longer the accuser. Of course, he's always going to try to accuse and murder people, but he's no longer legally the accuser in Heaven's court because we have an advocate.
As a result, Satan was very furious because he knew that not only was he thrown down from his power, but he's going to be destroyed. So the church age begins this period of time where Jesus ascends at the—Jesus takes the throne upon the Ascension and rules until in heaven while his enemies are being put under his feet until he comes back, destroys Satan, destroys the evil, ushers in eternity, and then God rules through Jesus Christ on Earth.
So we're in that church age where all of these things are happening, where Jesus is ruling from heaven and his enemies are being put under his feet, where Satan is furious and has basically decided to give all of his power to one final attempt at a new world order where he can receive worship. This is the climate that we're living in.
And of course, the Bible reveals to you that Satan's choice for this final, you know, attack is through a counterfeit of the body of Christ—a counterfeit Christ, basically through the pope, through the god-king that rules on Earth and basically is the beacon of false light.
Also during this time, you have other things like the seals, the seven seals, and the seven churches, which show you that the church is degenerating and going through certain, you know, phases and false converts and things like this, where basically you end in a lukewarm church full of false converts.
The final church is Laodicea, the lukewarm church. It has no commendation from Christ. All of the other churches have something good that he says. Some of them don't have anything bad, like Smyrna, which was the persecuted church. We'll talk about them in just a second.
So it goes to show you contrast, right? Our church doesn't have anything good about it in terms of commendation, only like warnings and rebukes. So that's very important because that means that the final phase of the church before Jesus returns is full of lukewarm false converts.
Of course, we also know from other chapters, like the Beast in Revelation 17, the kings of the earth giving their power to the woman, right, in the Beast, and the world marveling after the Beast, that the devil is basically orchestrating a massive deception.
2 Thessalonians 2, the man of sin, the coming of the Lawless one, is by all power and signs and wonders of Satan. So the devil is orchestrating a massive deception at the end of time, right before Jesus returns and ushers in the real deal. The devil's going to present you with a counterfeit eternity.
And of course, all of this has been authorized by God, and the devil has been given power to do this so that the elect and the non-elect can be separated—the wheat from the tares, right? That's how you separate them. The elect will not be deceived. They will choose to delay their gratification, even if it means suffering, death, or starvation, or ostracization, or whatever else.
The reprobate will go for the low-hanging fruit and as a result be lost. So this is what's happening now during this climate, this crazy climate of the church age. God is using all of the evil and persecution and conniving actions of the devil to draw his elect to himself, to wake people up, to draw people.
It's funny, like for example, I talk about in my Venerable Day of the Sun coverage, Trump winning is like a way that I've seen that God will even use. Of course, God can use anything he wants, but the point is like I'm seeing that even some liberals are starting to wake up. Do you get it? That's the brilliance of it.
So Trump winning is just a shell shock to these liberals that were hoping they would, of course, because they're deceived by their own, you know, liberalism and synergism and everything else that everybody else is deceived by. But Trump coming to power is helping some liberals wake up.
And Biden before that, of course, these are all scheduled dialectics. We know that. But the point is that God is using that to wake more people up. So whatever the devil does, God will use it for the good to wake people up and to draw them to himself.
And of course, there's a deadline for that. We aren't given a specific time, but I do talk about in my series that once the bowl judgments drop, the first bowl is on people who took the mark of the beast, and their sores. Therefore, the bowl judgments happen in the future. We still have yet to come to those, and they happen once the mark of the beast has obviously been enforced because people are taking it now.
Jesus also said that people have to be left alive. The days were shortened, otherwise nobody would have been left alive, meaning there are people who will be left alive when Jesus returns. You put one and one together, what do you get? Well, what you get is that once the mark of the beast begins to be enforced and you start seeing some hardcore restrictions and enforcements, the time is very short.
And once the bowl judgments drop, there are no more elect to save because the bowl judgments are not designed to make people repent. They're designed to judge people. So until that point in time, there are people—some of them will be like the thief on the cross at the very last minute. They'll figure it out, and that's by God's design. There's nothing we can do about that.
But either way, this process of sifting is happening throughout this entire church age. Very important. Now in my timeline to the end video, also my Great Delusion series, I talk about the timeline being about 7 to 10 years. I think it's a reasonable estimate.
And again, I'm not setting any dates, but I'm just being reasonable based on everything that I see. I could be wrong, but either way, if that sounds crazy, watch the videos and see what you think. Most prophecies have been fulfilled. The 126-year period is in the past, several hundred years in the past, which is also a very important thing.
The mortal wound is in the past, and of course we see the mortal wound healing. The image of the Beast is being set up by the false prophet, which is the United States, and it's soon going to be exported to the rest of the world very easily. Then the kings of the earth can finally pledge their power to the woman riding the beast.
So this is the church age, folks. The period between the first and second coming—a very dynamic period of existing, a lot of things happening in the church age. Satan is very active, but of course God's plan is unstoppable. That's what it means when it says that Satan is bound.
It doesn't mean he's ceased from all satanic activity. The Bible is about spiritual things. He's not physically bound so he can't move and he can't tempt anybody now. He's spiritually bound because God has revealed that he's already planned to save who he's going to save, and that can't be stopped.
And Christ is ruling from heaven while his enemy is being put under his feet. God has revealed the end times prophecies and how Satan is going to be destroyed. You're done. Your fate is sealed would probably be like, you know, a way to translate it.
So Satan is very active, but nevertheless God's plan is unstoppable. Now in this church age, the Bible tells you who to focus on, who the main villain is of the church age so that wherever you are in the church age, you could look for that villain and understand, "Okay, how does that relate to my current time?"
Of course, again, some things become more obvious over time and they're revealed, but nevertheless we have to pay attention. And of course the point is that you don't get lost and you know the trajectory of history and you know who the power is that is behind all of these things.
You cannot understand where history is going and where we will end up, what Satan's deception will be, how people are going to marvel after the Beast if you don't know who the Beast is. Sounds obvious, but it's not that obvious because a lot of people think that the Beast is a singular person and that person is an Antichrist.
Isn't obviously against Christ? Is Trump the Antichrist? Is Elon the Antichrist? Is, you know, the prince of Saudi Arabia the Antichrist? Is President Xi Jinping the Antichrist? Pin the tail on the Antichrist. Such nonsense. If you don't know who the Beast is, you don't know who the false prophet is because the false prophet is related to the Beast.
Do you get it? If you don't know who the Beast is, you don't know who the one that's working false signs and wonders to get you back to the Beast is. And of course, if you don't know who the false prophet and the Beast are, then you don't know what the image of the Beast is, and you don't know what the mark of the beast is.
These four things are so critical to understanding the trajectory of history because again, when the Bible warns you that the coming of this deception is by all power and signs and wonders of Satan—all of Satan's satanic power to deceive, which is great, very great—look at history, how he has deceived the nations.
All of his power is going to be channeled in this outcome because it's his final attack. So that is something to really be warned of and take seriously. Now, if you do know who the Beast is, then you know what to watch. You know what to look at.
So of course, the Bible is brilliant as usual by revealing to you Satan's center of darkness so that you, in any age that you happen to find yourself in, understand how to relate the things that are happening in front of you to that center of darkness. Very, very important.
On top of this important prophetic warning, the Bible also has a consistent theme, which we will be exploring, which is counterfeit worship, counterfeit faith, counterfeit worship, false converts, false prophets, false apostles. This is a constant theme through both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
And with that, that is what we're going to understand as the basis for the synagogue of Satan. So let's take a look. The Old Testament says from the very beginning that there is a struggle between the truth and deception, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which is of course pride.
Now, I talk about this in my Serpent Seed scope. I have a very in-depth explanation there of what actually happened in the Garden of Eden. Make sure you check it out. There's a particular episode or a chunk in that message called The Forbidden Fruit. Go watch that. It's going to be very edifying to you.
The two trees were very real trees, but they were also symbolic because God was painting a symbolic picture from the very beginning. He declares the end from the beginning. They were symbols of faith versus rebellion, right? Humility versus pride, true salvation versus counterfeit salvation, saving yourself.
Now, Satan in Genesis 3 created the mystery religion. He created the mystery religion in the garden. You need to understand that. That's when it was created. In the very beginning, you see the two threads: the truth and the counterfeit.
What is the mystery religion based on? What are the principles of the mystery religion based on the interactions in Genesis 3? Well, there's a couple of things you can extract very simply. You can't trust God's word. You can't trust God's character. You can't trust God's sovereignty. You're the one who's sovereign. You're the one who's good inherently. You can determine what is good or evil. You can govern yourself.
And of course, you can have eternal life outside of God. These are the pillars of the mystery religion, the counterfeit salvation, the false light. And this particular mystery religion has been one thing ruling the world since the fall of mankind, and it will rule the world until the very end, until Christ comes to finally destroy it.
In the church age, the final expression of this mystery religion is as a counterfeit bride of Christ. Mystery Babylon is not just the Roman Catholic Church, folks. It's the mystery religion of the ages. It's the mother of abominations coming into the open and resurrecting in a physical packaging just like before the flood.
But of course, this time it's going to look a certain way, and it's going to look like a counterfeit bride of Christ. Now, right after the garden, you had Cain and Abel. An important point to understand immediately about Cain and Abel is that Cain was not an atheist. Do you get it? Cain was not an atheist. He was presenting himself as a worshipper of God.
He came to offer sacrifices to God. He was acting as a worshipper, yet he was rejected because he did it his own way and he refused to repent. He had pride, which led to jealousy, which eventually led to murder. And of course, the corruption of mankind from the very beginning.
We see again two paths: Abel and Cain, the path of obedience and the path of rebellion. Cain was not serpent seed; he was of the devil because he gave into his pride and jealousy and hatred and murdered his brother. Whereas Abel, you had the righteous one who obeyed God, who had humility, who did what God asked, and Cain was the one who rebelled.
So you have two threads again. Both of them are worshippers of God. Do you get it? Abel and Cain are both worshippers of God. One of them is true; one of them is counterfeit. Of course, fast forward past the flood into biblical Israel. After the Exodus, you had many apostatizing situations with Israel.
But of course, it was often worshipping God alongside other gods or worshipping God through their own pagan way. A couple of examples in the Exodus, right after they left. I talk about this in my Sacred Name Controversy video because there's a point here to relate to the fact that some people say that Yahweh was an old pagan god that the Israelites picked up, which of course is not true.
There's a lot of jumbling of history there. Anyway, there's a lot to talk about that. But the Exodus, where they were crafting the golden calf to worship God, they weren't worshipping God as the golden calf. If you—it's very nuanced. And of course, if you understand these nuances, it gives you the spiritual quality of what's going on here, folks.
They weren't—they didn't build a golden calf and say, "Oh, that's Yahweh. Let's worship Yahweh." People believe that when you had an image, it summons the god to you. And basically, you know, you offer some sacrifices, and then the god would sit on this image, right?
So they built this golden calf in order to summon Yahweh because they had gotten impatient where Moses went up the mountain, and they thought, "Oh, basically he's done. He's, you know, dead or whatever." Who knows what they thought? But they got impatient and said, "Okay, well, let's build our own, you know, statue and bring Yahweh to us, and he can go before us now, and we can do it our own ways."
Do you—this is why—why is this so important? Because people generally think that the story in the Exodus is that they immediately apostatized and started worshipping a golden calf. No, they weren't worshipping a golden calf. They were trying to worship Yahweh and do it their own way. It was counterfeit faith.
They were mixing truth with error. They were trying to—they were being synergistic about it instead of trusting in God's sovereignty and trusting in the Lord and basically waiting on the Lord. What did they do? They gave in to their own desires and created a religion.
Do you understand? They created a religion. They created a ritual and an idol that would summon God, and then God could go and do your bidding like a genie. That's the sin that they were under. But they were acting as worshippers of Yahweh. Do you understand the important point here?
It wasn't paganism. They were acting as worshippers of Yahweh, claiming to be or thinking that they were, of course, Israelites. Later, like in the Book of Ezekiel, you see the elders worshipping God plus the sun and bowing down to all the host of heaven, the pantheon. You have apostate kings like Jeroboam, Ahab, Manasseh—all these people that were apostate, worshipping basically Baal and the sun and all the host of heaven, the Queen of Heaven—all these polluted things that were happening alongside the worship of Yahweh while they're still presenting themselves as Israelites and in covenant with Yahweh.
This is a consistent theme. Now, I want to read to you also an interesting article about the Pharisees and the evolution of the rabbi system because this also comes into play. So obviously, after Babylon, the rabbinic system happened because the temple was destroyed, and you had synagogues being built.
And keep this in mind: schools and things like that. So the rabbi system was a very important stage in the development of the synagogue of Satan. So this is an article from the waymissions.org. It's a very good article. Let's read it.
Rise of the Pharisees. During the Greek occupation of Palestine, many priests within the Zadokite priesthood, Sadducees, developed Hellenistic religious, social, and governmental viewpoints to counter this falling away from Judaism. The Pharisees began to coalesce as a religious movement around 200 BC as radical reformers.
Pharisees envisioned a much more traditional view of Judaism. Antigonus of Socho, whose admonition to let the fear of reverence of God be with you, establishes service to God on principle and removes material wealth as any sign of godliness. Therefore, Pharisees did not embrace Greek culture but denounced it.
So the initial reason for Pharisees coming up was a good one. Keep that in mind. Pharisees looked to what we today know as the Tanakh—Five Books of Moses, prophets, and writings, Psalms—but embraced oral traditions as well, which in their view enhanced spiritual interpretation, telling stories and providing lessons.
And always had been a strong influence within Judaism, as it had been to all ancient peoples. It was a convenient tool to assist in giving children moral lessons, parable study, and the study of the prophets.
Speakers, for example, Jewish mysticism had always held for a Messianic figure as God's final resolution for the Jewish people. Isaiah's prophetic voice remained central. Sadducees did not accept the oral interpretation but remained strict within the Mosaic law and accepted only the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, the Pentateuch.
This practice of disallowing oral law allowed Sadducees to stay within a stricter mentality, but this restriction would also keep them from being accountable to a broader religious and cultural interpretation. It is by this device Sadducees could continue their tainted relationships with the Greeks, the Hasmonean kings, and the later Romans.
So you see they were using the scriptures for their own benefits based on power, based on power, wealth, and strict religious rulership. The Sadducees conducted internecine warfare against the Pharisees. Internecine means like there's no benefactor; both parties are basically losing against the Pharisees regardless of later attempts at suppression by the Sadducees.
At the time of the Maccabean Revolt, the resurgence of the common man would account for eventual Pharisaic dominance. Pharisaic development in the early years, Torah schools led Pharisaic development. Antigonus took the view of the service of the sake of service as the true intent of entering the priesthood.
In later years and during the times of Jesus, Pharisees had made it relatively easy to enter the priesthood, and money could be used to secure such a position. This money approach diminished the priesthood and would not have been in line with Antigonus' original intention.
This corruption of the Pharisees would later become a strong point of contention with Jesus, as Matthew 23, the woes to the Pharisees. During the Maccabean Revolt, the Pharisees are known to make up the main part of the Hasmoneans. The Hasmoneans are those who fought against the Greeks, the Seleucid Empire.
Another religious group also participated, the Essenes. The rigorous separation of the Pharisees into a distinct sect becomes more unified and battle-tested and is now accomplished. It is in the war of the Maccabees that the Hasmoneans form ranks, and the Maccabean family in the role of standard bearer.
The Maccabees and their followers were dedicated Pharisaic representatives, with the Hasmoneans made up of the newly organized Pharisee and Essene coalition. Both Essenes and Pharisees participated in the Maccabean Revolt under the leadership of Mattathias and then soon after his son Judas against the Syrians.
The war began in 167 BC and lasted 25 years before a peace treaty was conducted in 142 BC. It gives you some maps here. During the war of the Maccabees, the Hasmoneans, mainly Pharisees, but the Essenes' adherence was responsible for carrying out the fight against the Syrian armies, with the Sadducees either neutral or lending aid to the Greek Seleucid regime.
Pay attention to these things because these things are patterns, spiritual patterns of how the devil manipulates one group against another and snares them either to the left or to the right and then uses both sides against each other.
After this long guerrilla war and the defeat of the Syrians, the temple was restored, as was daily sacrifice. Judaism was preserved from the religious onslaught initiated by Antiochus Epiphanes, which outlawed Jewish celebrations and emphasized the worship of Zeus. Many Jews were caught in the middle of this religious conflict.
Most of them would join in the Pharisees. There's simple reasons for this. The Sadducees were a group of families, and to be part of the Sadducean priesthood would prove difficult except through marriage or birth. Although within the sect itself, anyone might join, Sadducees were religious and governmental aristocrats, exclusive and not populist.
However, the political and religious battle lines had been drawn. The Pharisees perceived themselves as those who had won the war, while the Sadducees had not hearkened to the call of battle. It was not many years later that the son of Simon John Hyrcanus, who was a Sadducee ruling from 135 to 105 BC, experienced success in further military exploits when the Syrians were distracted by the attacking Parthians from the northwest of Iran.
Hyrcanus took his opportunity to capture Shechem, which is 25 miles northeast of Jericho, and other nearby cities. After entering Samaria, he also entered Edom and fought the—after these exploits, the Jewish lands began to look like a true kingdom.
Which, by the way, really quick, he also converted the Edomites, so keep that one in mind. A kingdom united under the one ruler who would become a force to be reckoned with. Judea was truly free once again.
The other elder son of John, Aristobulus, then takes control in 104 BC and unites the government into a kingdom. He produces a kingship with a line of kingly aristocracy instead of religious leadership. Temporary stability is established.
However, beneath this order of government, there remains turbulence, both political and religious. After the one-year reign of Aristobulus followed another son of John Hyrcanus, Alexander Janus, who formerly aligned himself with the Sadducees.
It is Alexander who will not only become king but a high priest as well. Interesting, this dual designation is unusual and is preferred only under rare circumstances, of which this is not one. The Jos of Pharisees and Sadducees heightens since the Hasmonean kings were not in the Davidic line.
The Pharisees objected to them, causing a tense situation to become more strained. Needing religious support, the Hasmoneans are forced to remain allied with the Sadducees at all costs. They must control the temple, and the Sadducees will do that for them.
The Sadducees exploit the fact that the Pharisees want the Hasmonean family to step down, which naturally the Hasmoneans are unwilling to do. However, the military campaigns of Janus are disastrous. To maintain his kingship, Janus persecutes the Pharisees, quote, "ordered 800 of them to be hung upon crosses amid the city."
He had the throats of their wives and children cut before their eyes, and these executions he saw as he was drinking and lying down with his concubines. Brutal, according to Josephus, Wars of the Jews. Shortly after, Janus dies as he pursues those who flee his impiety and cruelty.
Alexandra, his wife, then comes to power in 76 BC. She realizes the firm conviction of the Pharisaic religious authority will not be surmounted. She formally recognizes them, and hence the Pharisees become predominant in daily Jewish religious life.
After Alexander recognizes the Pharisees, Greek influence further diminishes. The Pharisees reinvigorate revenge persecution of the Sadducees. Due to this unrest and to counter the Greeks, Rome invades Israel, most notably by Pompey in 63 BC.
Beginning in 60 BC, the Edomite Antipater is installed as governor of Judea and begins the Herodian dynasty. The Romans allowed the Hasmonean kings to maintain more limited power until the advent of Herod the Great in 37 BC.
Quote, "And now the Pharisees joined themselves to Alexandra to assist her in the government." These are a certain sect of Jews that appear more religious than others and seem to interpret the laws more accurately.
Now, Alexandra hearkened to them to an extraordinary degree as being herself a woman of great piety towards God. But these Pharisees artfully insinuated themselves into her favor by little and little and became the real administrators of public affairs.
They banished and reduced whom they pleased, probably the Sadducees, perhaps the Essenes. They bound and loosed men at their pleasure, not necessarily totally under the laws. And to say it all at once, they had the enjoyment of the royal authority while the expenses and the difficulties of it belonged to Alexandra.
She was a sagacious woman in the management of great affairs and intent always upon gathering soldiers together so that she increased the army by one half and procured a great body of foreign troops to her till her own nation became not only very powerful at home but also terrible to foreign potentates.
At the same time, she governed other peoples, and the Pharisees governed her. That's from Josephus. Pharisees and Jesus. The Pharisees begin modern rabbinical schools. Many different sects erupted within Pharisaic belief: the Baptists, Herodians, Gorthanites, and scribes, and other groups held basic Pharisaic views but also with some differences.
Now, does this sound like the modern denominations from Catholicism and institutionalized religion? Nothing new under the sun, folks. Rabbis Shammai and Hillel represented the two predominant schools of thought. Shammai is defined as more strict or legalist, and the school of Hillel is viewed as more compassionate.
Zealot radicals took the view of Shammai concerning trade between Jews and Gentiles, which was not to allow trade intercourse. Hillel disagreed with this. Currently, more popular viewpoint in part Hillel's viewpoint might be considered a Judaic outreach perspective, but certainly trade benefited the Jews under Roman taxation.
Any added revenues would be helpful. At the time of Jesus's ministry, the school of Shammai probably held more authority than Hillel. However, in the end, the school of Hillel wins out. The destruction of the temple in AD 70 sealed the fate of Shammai.
The Sanhedrin accepted Hillel and rejected the stiff-necked Shammai, for the outlook of Shammai had brought only grief. Some scholars associate Jesus with the school of Hillel. Hillel is thought by some scholars to be one of the priests Jesus spoke to at the age of 12.
Isn't that interesting? The biblical reference to this conversation seems unbelievable to casual readers of scripture. However, Jewish children learned to read as early as 3 years old and were required to memorize long scriptural passages.
So this reference to Jesus is likely accurate, though an unusual occurrence. As to Jesus's affiliation, many more associate Jesus with the Nazarenes. The majority in the middle say that is not truly proven. Either way, this work perceives Jesus as a Nazarene, an Essene priest fulfilling the law.
Does not necessarily mean agreement or unity with the Pharisees. There were Pharisees who strived after the content Jesus proposed. The Pharisees were of an apocalyptic nature and must have felt the need for a new revelation.
In Mark 12, we encounter a Pharisee who confirms Jesus's message concerning loving God with all your heart and mind, then extending to your neighbor, and then declaring that these attributes transcend any act of sacrifice. Nicodemus becomes a supporter, and scripture mentions Jesus eating with Pharisees in Luke 7.
During the ministry of Jesus, there were those Pharisees who were afraid to speak out for fear of higher Pharisaic priestly persecution. However, they seem a small minority. The Pharisees consider religious law and the law of the land as it was intended to be.
However, they began to consider the law of religion instead of the religion containing the laws. This attribution to the law became reverential. This corrupted influence or breakdown was a further sign of Pharisaic dissolution.
The Pharisees added to Mosaic law by imposing various cleansing rituals and prayers to accompany these rituals, none of which were a part of the Mosaic law. And there were other reasons as well. In contrast, Jesus sees this viewpoint as misguided due to its wholly legalistic views.
Jesus sees these rituals and the brief prayers that accompany them as superficial. Thus, within Pharisaic Judaism, the law evolves to become the pronouncement of obedient righteousness instead of the inspection of the inner man.
It's an important distinction. John and Jesus become the first prophets who directly challenged this interpretation of religion by law and ritual. Pharisaic religious development infers an attempt at holiness by a constant attentiveness to the details of daily living but leaving the substantial issues unattended, straining at the unclean gnat on the edge of the cup, Matthew 23, but not attending to the actual spiritual needs of the people.
While inside, the Pharisees are full of extortion and self-indulgence. These many Pharisaic laws and prayers, which inter daily life, become nothing more than a burden and a stumbling block to spirituality, which Jesus refers to on several occasions.
Layered viewpoints replace more substantial spiritual viewpoints and insight, thereby stifling revelatory interpretation of scripture. The revelatory interpretation of the law and the prophets is the essential act of the Messiah. It is the Messiah who will interpret and fulfill the law, as Jesus states in Matthew 5: "Do not think that I've come to destroy the law and the prophets. I did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it."
God bless. Great article on the history of the Pharisees and Sadducees and all of the things that happened there. Now in the scriptures, in the Old Testament, we see some very important scriptures like Jeremiah 12:1-2.
"Righteous are you, O Yahweh, when I complain to you. Yet I would plead my case before you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous live? You plant them, God plants the wicked, and they take root; they grow and produce fruit."
Now, so far up until here, it seems like we're talking about obviously wicked people. So who are these people? Let's see the qualifying statement: "You are near in their mouth and far from their heart," meaning the reprobate counterfeit believers are authored into the story by God, and he gives them life for his purposes.
How do you know the wicked? Because you are near in their mouth and far from their heart, meaning the people who are saying, "Oh, the Lord this, the Lord that," but in reality, God is actually far from their heart. That's a profound statement.
Isaiah 29:13, same thing: "And the Lord said, because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men. Therefore behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder, and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden."
So they draw near with their lips, but they're far away from the heart. What does the mark of the beast tell you at the end of time? That some people will take it on the hand, meaning just actions. They don't actually believe in it; they're just going to go along with the benefits.
And some people will be full apostate in the sense that they're going to be just totally believing the delusion. Either way, you're apostate. Either way, you're deluded. But the point is God, throughout the New Testament or the New Testament and the Old, but throughout the Old Testament—that's where we're talking about right now—is always describing both are important: your actions and your internal, like frontlets between your eyes and, you know, some—I forget the other part with the hand—but the mind and the actions are both required for God.
Because the counterfeits draw near with their mouth, with their actions only, but in fact, they're counterfeit faith. So notice the same dialectical pattern and duties the enemy uses to pit people against each other. Use people's pride and religiousness and legalist beliefs and self-salvation and traditions of men to try to pit groups against each other and create these counterfeit situations.
Notice the corruption. The Pharisees initially, in general, had a good desire because the Sadducees were basically being seduced by Greek culture, and the Pharisees wanted to reform it. They were conservative; they had intentions to preserve the truth.
But it very quickly was corrupted by money, politics, legalism, traditions of men, rabbinic Judaism—all these things were very quickly counterfeited by Satan's synagogue. Within 200 years, by the time Jesus showed up, the rabbi system was in full swing.
So what's the point of the Old Testament? We just looked at very briefly from the Garden of Eden to Cain and Abel to the biblical Israelites to the Pharisaic rabbinic Judaism. What is the point? The point is that up until Jesus, from the beginning of time, the issue was always about counterfeit faith.
It wasn't about what's obviously evil. The issue has been about counterfeit faith. Two paths, two trees, Cain and Abel—true worship, counterfeit worship—very, very important.
Now when we come to the New Testament, where things are fully revealed and much more clear, without a doubt, the consistent warning throughout the New Testament is about false converts, counterfeit worship, false Christ, false apostles, false prophets.
It's not warning you about atheism, paganism, overt attacks by Satan. It's warning you about internal attacks, subtle attacks, deceptions, counterfeit beliefs, synagogue of Satan institutions that present themselves as good but in fact are actually serving the devil.
There's many parables having to do with counterfeit faith: the wheat and the tares, the good fish, the bad fish, the five foolish virgins, the five wise virgins, sheep and the goats, the parable of the sower—all of these and many others have to do with counterfeit believers. You'd think that's important if all of those parables are listed.
There's also many false warnings of false converts, and you can see it. Good—you never know what these things.
Alright, 2 Thessalonians 2:3: "Not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or spoken word or a letter seeming to be from us," meaning the counterfeit was already started in Paul's day, where they were starting to write counterfeit letters to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
"Don't be swayed by these letters." Why? "Because let no one deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first." What characterizes this rebellion? Because there's a lot of rebellion in the Bible. What is the character of this rebellion? What is the qualifying statement?
"And the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God."
Well, the temple is spiritual, meaning we have to wait for this institution to come that takes itself, puts itself in the temple of God, and claims to be it—the head of the church, excuse me, the head of the church—and in fact is actually serving Satan.
That's the rebellion that is being spoken of here because there's a lot of rebellions in the Bible. So the quality of this rebellion was yet future for Paul, but nevertheless, it warns you of a counterfeit faith, a counterfeit system—not an obviously evil attack on the church.
2 Timothy 3:1: "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty for people, be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."
Now, if you just stop there, you can apply that to practically any obvious evil thing in history—paganism, wokeism, communism, whatever it is. But just before you do that, so that you understand the trajectory of history and the common thread of the Bible, you have a qualifying statement right before the period:
"Having the appearance of godliness." Uh-oh. Suddenly, all of these qualities—disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, without self-control, brutal, not loving the good—all of these qualities are now enveloped by having the appearance of godliness, yet denying its power.
Isn't that such a profound statement? That all of this that's coming, all of this apostasy, rebellion, superficiality is actually under the guise of having the appearance of godliness—counterfeit faith.
2 Corinthians 11:1, 14-15: "And no wonder, for Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." Satan, by the way, is never described very often. Not really. This is probably one of the most, you know, vivid descriptions. Of course, he describes a red dragon of Revelation, but the point is Satan is not described very often, and he's certainly not described as a half-goat man with big red horns, you know, buck teeth, you know, some sort of pitchfork with fire.
That's an invention. That's actually from the Medieval ages when they used to make caricatures of the devil, thinking that they would insult the devil. And of course, the devil just baited them into believing the obvious evil.
Do you see how the devil used their own attempts to try to mock him? Jesus never mocked the devil, folks. Jesus tells you to take the devil seriously because he prowls around like a roaring lion looking for people to devour. You need to take the devil very seriously because the devil is the most subtle creature that God has ever made.
So don't buy into the medieval Catholic rendition of the devil with, you know, pitchfork and red horns because that's not the devil. The devil is an angel of light, appears as an angel of light.
Verse 15: "So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond with their deeds." What's the end? That Jesus tells you, "Lord, Lord, did we not do many mighty works in your name?" "Depart from you, workers of lawlessness."
2 Timothy 4:3-4: "For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth," of course, which is the gospel, "and wander off into myths."
Does that apply today? Absolutely. Totally applies. Let's see. Jude 1:4: "For certain people have crept in unnoticed, who were long ago designated for this condemnation." They were designated for this condemnation, but they crept—they were creeping into the church, meaning these are false converts.
Remember, God plants the wicked for his purposes. "Ungodly people who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." Physical things converting spiritual things to physical, sensual things—things of the senses.
"O, I love how all this religion looks and all these icons and statues and religious things and physical things rather than clinging to the truth, which is invisible." Of course, that truth will be revealed at some point, but nevertheless, until then, this is the age of faith for a reason.
Verse 5: "Now I want to remind you, although you once knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who do not believe." Again, who did not believe? The people who were in Korah's rebellion were parading themselves as worshippers of Yahweh.
Do you get it? They weren't like saying, "Yahweh doesn't exist." That's it. We have decided that God doesn't—we're atheists now. No, they were rebelling, trying to do things their own way, trying to assert God's authority, trying to assert the authority of Moses. They're trying to do their own thing.
So they weren't destroyed because of being atheists. They were counterfeit believers. And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day.
Angels who were in the presence of God also rebelled—counterfeit angels, counterfeit faith. Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulge sexual immorality and pursue unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
This is my afterlife series. We talk about this quite a bit. This is not a fire that lasts forever; it is a fire that has eternal consequences. Verse 8: "Yet in the manner like these people also relying on their dreams," so they're relying on their personal revelations. Sounds familiar?
"Defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones." But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment but said, "The Lord rebuke you."
But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. "Woe to them, for they have walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion."
What is the thread being painted to you here? It's the thread of counterfeit faith. Cain was a believer, or at least he presented himself as a worshipper—counterfeit. Balaam's error—Israelites pretending to worship God but then eating food sacrificed to idols and having orgies and all kinds of things.
Korah's rebellion—we just talked about that—all counterfeit faith is what the thread that Jude is tying the current people in his day, the people who were infiltrating the church, as counterfeit believers.
"These are hidden reefs at your love feasts." Well, if they were obviously evil, they wouldn't be hidden, now would they? As they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves, waterless clouds swept along by winds, fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted, wild waves of the sea casting up the foam of their own shame, wandering stars for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousand of his holy ones." This, by the way, is a citation of the Book of Enoch. It's a citation from Deuteronomy. I talk about that in my Nephilim episode.
But nevertheless, counterfeit faith, counterfeit faith. And of course, that's very obvious. 2 Peter 2:1-3: "But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction."
"And many will follow their sensuality, again, there's that sensual theme of being in the senses and physical things, and because of them, the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed, they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle. Same thing as Jude. This is a long-ago determined thing, folks. It's part of the story, and their destruction is not asleep."
So are all of the apostles so far in accord with what's going on with the trajectory of history? Yes. 1 John 2:18-19: "Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that Antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists, plural, have come. Therefore, we know that it is the last hour."
Now, in Greek, Antichrist has two meanings: in place of Christ and against Christ. And there are many antichrists because they're governed by the spirit of antichrist. "They went out from us," meaning they were believers—quote-unquote believers.
These aren't pagans. These aren't atheists. These aren't LGBTQ, you know, woke liberals. I mean, I'm sure they did some of that stuff, obviously. But they went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they had been of us, they would have continued with us.
Why? Because God preserves his elect. Very simple. Very simple reason. God is not going to let you apostatize. His name is basically tarnished. If God has chosen to save you, he will continue to endure you and keep you saved.
But that's how you know all these counterfeit believers. You know, and it forces you to confirm your own election. They're all by design, folks. The counterfeit believers from long ago that have been predestined are by design.
But nevertheless, this is the issue: counterfeit faith. But they went out that it might become plain that they are not all of us. It might become plain who God has chosen to save. And you'll know more and more as we get closer to the end as these two drawings happen, as Satan is drawing his people to himself and God is drawing his people to himself.
And the movement of these two—if I can get my hands here—the movement of these two tracks like this, you are stuck in the middle to see which way am I going? Am I being drawn this way or am I being drawn that way? You're in this movement.
And of course, that movement is by design to make you confirm your election and to be participating in God's plan for your life. But this has been happening since the very beginning, especially since the New Testament.
Acts 20:29: "I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. And from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things to draw away the disciples after them." Has that been fulfilled? Absolutely.
Romans 10:1-4: "Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them, the Jews, is that they might be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. For being ignorant of the righteousness of God and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness."
Gosh, this is a profound statement against religion. They're ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own. What does that mean? Gosh, that really deserves a little breakdown.
Especially in recently, I've been talking to like religious people, so I'm kind of in it. I have a Muslim friend who I'm trying to convince that you cannot pay God for your sins with good works that you're doing because he's righteous.
Do you understand? The reason religion works—Islam, Buddhism, Catholicism, Judaism, whatever religion—is because people have a distorted view of God. What Paul is saying here is that they have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge.
So counterfeit faith—a lot of people like that today—very zealous for God but not according to knowledge. What's the knowledge being spoken of here? The knowledge being spoken of here is knowing that God is completely righteous.
What does that mean? That means that he is so perfect and righteous and good and holy, there is absolutely nothing you can do to impress him. Especially because by the time that you even learn that he exists, you look back on the quarter of time of your life and you realize you have trampled on his image because he's made you in his image.
You have trampled on his glory countless times, that you deserve the death penalty a thousand times over. And so there is no way you can exchange your pitiful good works to pay back an infinitely—an infinite debt because God is infinitely glorious.
So by trampling on that infinitely glorious righteousness through sin, you owe an infinite debt. Of course, the most you can pay is with your life. So that's what you do pay if you reject the payment of Jesus.
But nevertheless, it's an infinite debt. So how can you possibly work to pay for your sins with good works? It doesn't work that way, folks. It really doesn't. In the court of law, if you have a serious crime deserving death, if you murdered your family or something crazy, no judge in the history—unless it's a very corrupt judge—but let's say a serious judge is ever going to say, "Yo, just do X amount of work and, you know, make sure you do some community service, make sure you donate, make sure you do this."
No, you need the death penalty. You are going to suffer the highest payment. And of course, this is the same. If that's the way it is with our legal system, then you can imagine what it's like with God—with an infinite debt.
But the religions of Islam, Judaism, Catholicism, and so on—all these synergistic, works-based religions—they have a different view of God. They do not completely espouse the righteousness of God, and that's exactly what this verse is saying.
Because these religions do not conceive of how—like Judaism is a perfect example. Of course, Judaism in Paul's time, the temple was still around, so they were being snared by sacrifice. But now it's even worse. It's even worse.
Why is that worse? Because there's no forgiveness. There is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood. That's both in the Old Testament and the New Testament—Leviticus 17, Hebrews 9. No forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood.
Why? Because God is righteous. God is holy. God is perfect. He's not going to be able to just forgive your sin. "Oh, we'll just pass over this one." The reason he passed over sin so many times is because Jesus was scheduled to be brutally crucified in 31 AD from the very beginning.
In the Garden of Eden, Jesus was already scheduled. That's why God could behave so mercifully with people in history because all those sins were getting racked up when Gideon was testing God.
"Oh, do this, do this, God. How about this? Now make the fleece dry and make it wet around there." Are you kidding me? That was getting racked up, put it on Jesus's shoulders. When Moses said, "No, go find somebody else. Leave me alone. I can't speak. I can't do this." He doubted God. That was getting put on Jesus's shoulders.
When Jeremiah was lamenting, getting upset and called God a deceitful brook, that's getting put on Jesus's shoulders. So that God could be merciful. But sins are getting paid for, folks. They're not getting just swept under the rug because God is righteous.
And if you understand that God is righteous and everything has to be paid for, and of course the only payment that you can offer is death to a perfect being, then there's no way you can continue doing what you're doing. That's what Paul is lamenting here. It's such an important verse to understand.
For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, they're ignorant of the righteousness of God. Therefore, what does that result in? They're seeking to establish their own righteousness, and they don't submit to God's righteousness.
When you see God's righteousness and you see it for what it is, you submit and you say, "Is there any way out of this?" And of course, there is the good news of the Gospel, which is also God's righteousness, his goodness revealed in Jesus Christ as a righteousness that can be propitiated to you through faith.
You see God's righteousness as a holy being who is a judge, and then you see God's righteousness perfectly in Jesus Christ as the merciful Savior. So profound. So they're ignorant of that part. They're ignorant of the righteousness of God displayed on the cross that reconciles both justice and mercy.
And as a result, what do they do? Well, we can make our own righteous—we can make ourselves righteous. Counterfeit faith from the Garden of Eden: "You are inherently good. You can choose the good. Therefore, you can govern yourself. You're sovereign. God's not sovereign. You can't trust God's word. You can't trust God's character."
All of that is baked into these religious systems. Very, very important. Where were we? Romans 10. Now we're on Matthew 24.
Matthew 24:10-1: "And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another, and many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."
Has this been fulfilled in our time? Of course, it's been fulfilled throughout the church age. Many have fallen away and betrayed one another, and of course, they're going to be betraying you left and right when this stuff kicks in.
Matthew 24:4: "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." That doesn't say the elect are going to be led astray. The point of this is a lesser to the greater kind of comparison.
A lot of people say, "Even the elect are deceived." No, no, the elect can't be deceived, folks. The elect—and you know, there's a qualification we need to make here—deception in this case, the deception is falling away and being apostate.
Okay, you can be deceived on certain things and still be elect. Like you can think that maybe, you know, dispensationalism is true, but you're a genuine believer. That's true. It doesn't mean that people who believe in dispensationalism are reprobate, and there's plenty of disagreement on all kinds of different teachings.
There are certain core truths that you need, but nevertheless, the elect can still be deceived on certain things. But the deception being pointed to here is to lead you astray from the gospel, to basically be a reprobate.
And the point of using the elect as a comparison that cannot be deceived and apostatized is that the deceptions of these false prophets and false signs and wonders and all the false miracles of Satan in the church age will be of such magnitude that if it were possible, they could deceive God's elect, which of course is not possible.
Meaning you need to be on your guard. That's the point. You need to be on your guard because all of these things are being fulfilled now. People say, "Oh, this is warning about the Temple," and so on. It's not, folks.
There's some of Matthew 24 and Luke 21 that have to do with the destruction of the Temple, absolutely. But you have double fulfillment. You can't tell me that in the 40 years between 8031 and 8070 that all of these things were fulfilled.
Many false Christs, false prophets, you know, so on and so forth. Now there's been more false Christs in the last 100 years alone than in the last 2,000—certainly more than the 40 years between Jesus and Jesus's crucifixion and the Temple being destroyed.
Right now you have Apollo Quiboloy, Yeshu in Kenya, and oh, I forget the Australian guy's name. I always forget his name—David or something. He basically thinks he's Jesus reincarnated with his wife being Mary Magdalene. It's just total nonsense.
These people—just these three alone—they explicitly claim to be Jesus Christ. Apollo Quiboloy is like a multimillionaire in the Philippines, and they are deceiving millions of people. Just these three people alone are more deception and false Christs than in the last 2,000 years of history—certainly more than the 40 years between the crucifixion and the 70 AD.
So anybody who tells you that Matthew 24 and Luke 21 are completely pedist and having to do only with the destruction of the temple, it's not true. History doesn't testify that way.
Matthew 7:22-23: "On that day, many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, do we not prophesy in your name, and do we not cast demons out in your name, and do we many do we not do many mighty works in your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you.'"
Why? Because their condemnation was predestined from long ago. He never knew them. If he knows you, then you are chosen, and you will receive faith, and you will receive endurance. If he never knew you, then you were never chosen. You're a counterfeit tare.
"Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness." Interesting that Christ parallels lawlessness to working in counterfeit faith. Do you understand the point here? That's why the man of lawlessness is not an atheist or a Turk or a Muslim or whatever else, a Zionist.
Lawlessness, according to Christ, is appropriate to people who are working false, you know, prophecies and casting out demons and doing mighty works in Jesus's name. Isn't that fascinating that Jesus relates lawlessness to people who are claiming to be Christians and have proof?
I should say they have evidence because proof is different. Proof is, you know, proof. But they have evidence—physical evidence, works that they've done, mighty works even in Jesus's name. And Jesus equates that to lawlessness.
That's profound. That is such a profound statement. People don't realize the weight of these things. One more, Luke 6:46: "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and not do what I tell you?"
"Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like." And he gives you the parable of the building your house on the rock.
So what is the issue? Why do you call me Lord, Lord? Is that the same as the Old Testament? They draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far away. You plant them. Their words are near to your name, but their hearts are far away.
Is that the same thing? Are we talking about the same God and the same issue? Why do you call me Lord, Lord and not do what I tell you? Boy, I bet you that he told that to Cain.
"Why do you not do what I tell you? Will you not be approved if you do what is right?" And of course, Cain was proud and refused to do and to submit because he didn't know God's righteousness.
Isn't that so profound how all these things are tied together? It's so, so beautiful, really. Of course, you also have Revelation, the Book of Revelation, with Revelation 13, where you have the first Beast, which is the papacy, which is the counterfeit Christian power.
The second beast looks like a lamb, meaning it looks Christian, but it speaks like a dragon. Revelation 17, Mystery Babylon manifests as a counterfeit church riding a beast. Of course, there's no other candidate than Rome, and we go into that quite a bit in my video.
So what's the conclusion, folks? The New Testament unilaterally and consistently warns about false converts, false faith, false apostles, false prophets, false religion. The New Testament is consistent also with the Old Testament.
You see the same story from the Garden of Eden all the way to the final moments of Revelation. It's profound, isn't it? It's the same story. It is not the obvious rebellion that you are warned about. It is not the people who are obviously Antichrist you're warned about.
The false light—people who pose themselves as believers but aren't. This is because God's people are the center of the message. Of course, God is the center of the message, but it's God and his people—the dance of life.
It's God and his people at the center of this story. It's not a bloodline; it's a spiritual Israel. And we are told to confirm our election so that false—so that we're not a false convert.
So false converts are there to evoke in you a feeling of, "Gosh, am I a false convert?" Evaluate yourself. Test yourself, Christian. Are you walking the narrow road? That's the point.
And of course, the people who—the good news, before you freak out and you panic and you go into legalism, the good news is that God, when you look back on your life, you say, "Oh, God was the one doing all those good things and sustaining me."
But in the present, in the now experience that you have, these things are designed by God to evoke the feeling in you to run towards him. It's so brilliant, really. It's truly brilliant.
Of course, you also have a consistent theme through earlier in Revelation, like with Revelation 2 through 3 with the church age, which I talked about previously. But now I want to go into the seven churches prophecy.
And of course, I have a whole video on this in my end time series. But basically, the seven churches prophecy—yes, it's relevant to John's time. There were seven real churches.
Very interestingly, those seven real churches, the postal route between those seven churches, the order in which they appear on the postal route is the order and sequence of the church in the church age as it goes through these different phases. It's really interesting.
Of course, we talk about that quite a bit in the church's video, but basically these are the phases of the church, and the church degenerates into the final lukewarm situation where the great delusion happens.
This means that the warnings in these letters are also addressing issues of false converts throughout history, and you will see the same pattern. For example, Revelation 2, verse 2 and verse 6: "This is the first church, the Ephesus Apostolic church, and we're going to read: 'I know your works, your toil, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not and found them to be false.'"
Verse 6 says, "Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate." We'll learn—we're going to learn about the Nicolaitans. Very interesting situation.
But the first church of Ephesus, which is the apostolic church, was dealing with what? False converts. Remember, Paul's letter was like, even if you receive a letter from us, i.e., a forgery, because that was already happening. There were Gnostics, Marcion, all these people were very early in the church.
Satan wasted no time. He wasted no time. And Jesus talks about that, that he's commending them that they recognize these false apostles who say they're one thing but they're not.
Revelation 2:9, of course, very famous chapter for this particular message: "I know your tribulation and your poverty, but you are rich, and the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not but are a synagogue of Satan."
Now, this second church, this church of Smyrna, is the persecuted church. And the persecuted church was dealing with a lot. They were dealing on one side with the dark persecution of the Roman Empire, basically just obvious evil, crucifying people, feeding them to lions.
At the same time, Satan was attacking believers with Gnosticism and apostasy and false light. And of course, there were also many Christians that were not enduring. They were counterfeit believers, and they caved.
They were telling on other Christians to save their life, or they were pretending to be Jews, at least until the Jews started getting persecuted too. Remember, the Jews had certain revolts, like I believe the Bar Kokhba revolt and another revolt in the 140s, 120s, whatever.
But up until the point where the Jews were hated as well, there were some Christians that were pretending to be Jews just to get a—what? Just to avoid persecution. They were telling on their fellow Christians. They were caving. They were going to Gnosticism, false light, false converts, synagogue of Satan, spiritual counterfeits.
Now the third church is Revelation 2:14-15, and it says, "But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality."
Now again, Balaam at the time of this, even at John's time, was like what, a thousand years in the past? So obviously, this is a spiritual metaphor. It's something going on. These people are aligning with what happened with Balaam spiritually.
And of course, in this particular church, this is the Church of Compromise. I believe, what is it? The Church of Pergamum, right? Pergamum was the Church of Compromise.
Again, we talk about all this specifically, how it appropriates to history in the church's episode in the end time series. But Balaam, Nicolaitans, I believe you also have—yes, verse 15, it says, "So also you have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans."
Lane excused itself for sending only its pastor. They put up at the angel, these angels of the churches, the largest in the wide marketplace. Isn't that interesting how history just shows you these little patterns of moral evil?
Basically, moral evil. There is little historical evidence for the sect of the nicians since Nicolas has the same name, which has the same meaning as nicians. The early church fathers often taught that Nicholas of Acts 6:5 was the founder of the sect of nians. The immoral characteristics attributed to the nicians were inferred because the word is also found in Revelation 2:15. Since the doctrine of Balaam was characterized by a moral practice, they thought that the doctrine of the nicians was also characterized by immorality.
In the very long treatise on heresies, a treatise of 252 pages of small type, Irenaeus wrote very little on the nicians. His meager discussion of the nicians is as follows: "The nicians are the followers of that Nicholas who was one of the seven first ordained to the diaconate by the apostles. They lead lives of unrestrained indulgence. The character of these men is very plainly pointed out in The Apocalypse of John when they are represented as teaching that it is a matter of indifference to practice adultery and to eat things sacrificed to idols. Wherefore the word has also spoken of them thus: 'But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the nicians, which I also hate.'"
It is Revelation 2:14. In the writings of Irenaeus and others, there is evidence for the immoral nature of the doctrine of the nicians. After the church's persecution during the Shmira era, the era of Pergamus arose, making Christianity respectable in the world. Bishops and prelates vied for positions of power in the church. They lorded in ease, and this resulted in a low moral state.
These leaders engaged in and permitted an indulgence in sin. William Kelly wrote the following: "The essence of Ni Satanism seems to have been the abuse of grace to the disregard of Christians or even moral practice. When persons maintain that unholiness may be tolerated because no man is free from sin, it is antinomianism." Antinomian means against the law, and I believe it to be the very principle of the nicians.
Interesting how, again, antinomianism is lawlessness. It's against the law, and that's the very principle of the nicians. Jesus calls the people who do all these mighty works lawless. Are you seeing a pattern? Hamilton Smith held the same view as William Kelly. "This again opened the door to nanism, which apparently was the antinomian doctrine that held the practical life of godliness to be of little account, seeing the believer is justified by faith."
This was turning the grace of God into lasciviousness—hyper grace, permissiveness, license to sin—and combined with authority. Remember that Leman Strauss believed that the doctrine of Balaam holds that grace permits immorality in the church. In his book entitled The Book of Revelation Outline Series, he stated that the church is responsible to judge evil. Grace gives no license for immorality in the assembly.
In his discussion on the address to Pergamos, he stated the following in the section on the doctrine of Balaam: "Read 1 Corinthians 5:1-8 for a lesson in church discipline." Paul did not wink at the flagrant example of incest. The member of the Church of Corinth who was guilty of immoral relations with his stepmother and who would not repent was purged out.
After his discussion on the doctrine of Balaam, he wrote the ensuing on ni nanism and noted its character of ecclesiastical evil. "Nicolaitism is fully accepted; it is here to stay. That which was mere deeds in Ephesus became doctrine in Pergamus and is today dogma." The first seeds of the Roman Catholic Church were sown as far back as the 4th century.
Today, the world is ready to accept the Roman Pope and be subject to him. He distinguished between the moral evil of Balaam and the religious ecclesiastical evil of nanism. "But he calls upon his own to accept his principle of separation, thereby refusing to compromise with either moral evil, Balaam, or religious error, nanism."
These evils have caused the church much harm. We would do well to remember that it is the Church of God, not the Church of man. It is not man's organization for him to control as he sees fit. "Unto the Church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours."
1 Corinthians 1:2. The author is Ted McDonald, and it seems like the date was October 6th—it's my birthday—1992. So, very interesting, very interesting article about the nicians.
So, the conclusion on this is that there is a hypocritical aspect to these people, the nians. Also, very important is that there's a hierarchical aspect. So, you have hypocrisy, meaning they're maximizing sin and lawlessness, but there's also hierarchy.
Do you understand how this relates to the spirit of antichrist? Hypocrisy and maximizing sin—this is obviously against Christ. Yet, this maximizing sin, this lawlessness, is in the package. It's in the package of the hierarchical aspect, meaning it's part of the church hierarchy.
It seems very high and mighty and good and authoritative and so on. That is the duality of these people. It's very interesting to see that Balaam in Hebrew means the same thing as nicians in Greek. So fascinating, so fascinating to study these things.
Of course, this is paralleled with other warnings too, like the synagogue of Satan in other churches, Jezebel, and so on, which we'll look at. It's all painting the same picture, folks. It's painting the picture of a counterfeit that Satan is rising and coalescing and bringing to power to ultimately bring himself worship.
That's the point. Revelation 2:20. We continue into the Dark Ages Church, which is Thyatira. You can see it. Good. This is 2:2. "But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual morality and to eat food sacrificed to idols."
Again, the same themes. These are symbols of the idolatrous religious hierarchy coming to power. Now, Thyatira is the fourth church. It's the Dark Ages Church, all the way leading up to the Reformation.
Of course, there's a lot of interesting parallels here with Jezebel. There's the Old Testament Jezebel, who was a very evil queen, leading people into apostasy. This was a real woman named Jezebel in Thyatira who was doing these things.
Through her, God was painting a picture of the spiritual reality of the fourth phase of the church. Once you've done with Pergamum, with compromise, you have basically the papal Church, the Dark Ages Church that was full of iron-fist control for most of the last 2,000 years.
It persecuted people, had inquisitions, crusades, and suppressed the knowledge of God, and so on. This Jezebel has a lot of interesting things. There are a lot of parallels between that and Mystery Babylon.
I talk about this in my episode on Mystery Babylon and how there's interesting things in Thyatira. There were purple fabrics, I believe. There were textiles, and I think this Jezebel was an owner of this textile business creating purple fabrics.
There's a lot of interesting things there between Mystery Babylon being this apostate prostitute, Jezebel figure. Of course, that is a picture of the Roman Catholic Church. So, there's a lot of parallels there.
But the point is that now you're seeing the images become clearer and clearer. At first, with Ephesus, it was apostles who were claiming they're not apostles. Then you have Smyrna, which you have the synagogue of Satan. Then you have the nicians, and so on and so forth.
Now you have Jezebel, full-on this institutional system. Now, in Revelation 3:4, we see the post-Reformation church, which is Sardis, I believe. If this thing can get to doing what it's supposed to do.
Okay, yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. Now, because there are people who have not soiled their garments, that means that there are people who have soiled their garments.
You get it? Meaning you've soiled your garments. Your white garments are a symbol of righteousness and faith, right? Being saved. Soiled your garments, meaning you had garments. You were presenting yourself as a believer, but you've soiled them. You've apostatized.
Of course, the post-Reformation church, after the Reformation, you had another, just like with, again, things happen in cycles, folks. In the first generation of the church with the apostles, you had very strong faith and doctrine.
Then you started to get weaker faith as people came into the church from paganism and compromise, and you had a new generation of people. Then you had the church fathers who were all over the place.
The same is with the Reformation. The original reformers had some good ideas in terms of theology, but then people started to drift away from the principles of the Reformation, from the eschatological principles, from the soteriological principles, from all of the beliefs that were in protest to the church.
People started to drift back to the church. A lot of basically counterfeit believers. You also had the Jesuits being created, and they were infiltrating Protestantism through secret societies, through counterfeit faith.
So, you had the synagogue of Satan very active at that point in time. Some people who did not soil their garments and were part of these counterfeit faith were being highlighted to you here.
Of course, today, Protestants still have Catholic teachings for the most part on every major thing: heliocentrism, synergistic salvation, immortality of the soul, institutionalized religion, Sunday sacredness. Every major teaching of Christianity, Protestants believe Catholic teachings.
This is a sign to you that we're at the end. Another sign to you that the Counter-Reformation is almost over and people are ready to marvel after the Beast.
Now, of course, we also have a couple more to go. Revelation 3:9 says, "Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie." The issue is lying that you are something that you're not.
"Behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you." So, the synagogue of Satan is still very much alive and well in the Revival Church, which is Philadelphia.
We know that in the 1800s, after the revival of the Protestant Reformation, they were back and forth. Then you had a Great Awakening in the 1700s, and also in the 1800s too. You had two great awakenings.
Some people like to say the third, but it's not really clear. You definitely had two great awakenings where the gospel was going out, especially after the French Revolution.
But at the same time, of course, Satan's not going to sit around. You had in the 1800s a huge satanic wave of false light and deception and destruction and revolutions and so on. Joseph Smith, Ellen White, Jehovah's Witnesses, all the Israelite movements.
If you watch my Israelite scope, Darby, Scofield, Irving, Pentecostalism—so much deception came out of the 1800s alongside these revivals. You had the very dynamic, again, you had this dynamic situation, right? Two drawings, two drawings, and you're caught in this double storm, so to speak.
These two drawings, and of course, it challenges you to align yourself with the truth. But the synagogue of Satan was very much alive and well in this phase of the church.
Then, of course, we get to the lukewarm church, which is very interesting because the lukewarm church doesn't have any specific group that it warns you of as a counterfeit believer because the entire church is at risk of being counterfeit.
Do you get how much this has devolved over time? Verse 17 says, "For you say, 'I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing,' not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire so that you may be rich and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you might see."
"Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me."
Which, by the way, this is also a timestamp because this is historical. When he says, "I stand at the door," there are other timestamps that we didn't cover in the previous churches, but there are other timestamps where it gives you this idea that he's getting closer.
He's getting closer. So, by the last church, everybody's at risk of being a counterfeit. Of course, there are elect, but the point is confirm your election because there are so many counterfeits that the entire church—there's nothing good to say about this church.
This is the church we're in, folks. The challenge is that everyone is at risk of being a false convert, so test your election. It's the final phase, the greatest amount of false converts.
You have things like Prosperity Gospel, Word of Faith, charismatic movement, dispensationalism, Christian Zionism—endless, endless, endless nonsense. So, this church is completely overrun by the nicians, the synagogue of Satan.
Of course, that's why the world will marvel after the Beast. So, there's endless amounts of deceptions, and we need to confirm our election and cling fast to the truth because the church in our generation has degenerated to the maximum level of apostasy.
Also, very important in all of this discussion is that the Bible says certain things about true faith. Romans 2:29 says, "But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God."
So, a Jew, according to Paul, is one who is inwardly a Jew, meaning faithful to God. That's what it really means. Romans 9:6 says, "But it is not as though the word of God has failed, for not all who are descended from Israel physically belong to Israel spiritually. Not all are the children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but through Isaac shall your offspring be named."
This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise who are counted as offspring. So, faith is what determines whether you're a child of God, whether you're a Jew, whether you're part of Israel.
Keep all of this in mind. Philippians 3:3 says, "For we are the circumcision who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh."
People who trust in Christ and believe the gospel are the circumcision. This is what circumcision in the Old Testament was designed to be—a foreshadowing, a picture of something spiritual in the future of those who are permanently sealed to God, spiritually circumcised by the heart, not by the flesh.
The first Christians were also Jews, meaning that the term Jew as of the New Testament is really to be a Christian. That's the actual term. It's to be in covenant relationship with God through faith.
1 Peter 2:9 applies the Old Testament language of a chosen people to Christians: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
The purpose of God giving you life is so that you can proclaim his glory. By the way, this is past tense—who called you out of darkness, past tense, meaning it's a done deal—so that you can enjoy basking in that eternal glory and proclaiming it forever and ever and ever.
But you here is not apostate Jews. It's not rabbinic Pharisees. It's you, as in the people who believe in Jesus. Therefore, you are the chosen race and royal priesthood, a holy nation, i.e., the spiritual Israel.
So, what's the point of all this? Viewed from the gospel plus the testimony of the entire scriptures and the consistent threads we've been looking at, the synagogue of Satan is pointing to much deeper spiritual truths, folks.
Especially because the prophecy of the seven churches is historical in nature, not just relevant to the past. This confirms that the synagogue of Satan is not something that they were dealing with just at that time.
The synagogue of Satan, which appears in two places, shows you that this is a consistent theme. And if, of course, we look at the other ways that this is voiced—nicians, doctrine of Balaam, Jezebel, and so on and so forth—then you see a consistent thread.
Then you take all of that and you compare it to the New Testament like we did. Then you take the New Testament and compare it to the Old Testament, and you look at all of history from Eden all the way to the mark of the beast.
What do you see? You see the same thing. Viewed from the proper prophetic lens, the synagogue of Satan is just a picture, a spiritual picture of a parallel reprobate false convert system alongside the true believers in the church age.
Specifically, it's the same problem throughout all of time. Now, remember that synagogue is an institution. It's a building. Therefore, it's describing an institution of counterfeit worship that says it's of God, but it's actually serving Satan.
Profound, and it's very interesting that it started in Babylon because, again, the first temple was destroyed. The temple was a place of life. You had atonement being done there, sacrifice, forgiveness, right? It was a picture of life.
The synagogues, as a result of the temple being destroyed, didn't have sacrifices. They were just places of knowledge. And, of course, eventually, those places got corrupted with Kabbalah, with all sorts of traditions of men and rabbinical Judaism.
But they are places of knowledge now. Do you see a theme coming forward? Again, there's no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood (Leviticus 17:11 and Hebrews 9:22).
So, what do you see? You see life and knowledge. Life and knowledge. The temple was a picture of Christ, and it was a picture of the Levitical religion, which was pure and in faith with God.
You always had faith in a propitiatory sacrifice done on your behalf. The synagogues were institutions designed—they didn't have blood; they had knowledge. So, there's no life, but actually death.
Interesting, isn't it? Synagogues created rabbis, the rabbinical system for training people. And, of course, after the second temple was destroyed, Judaism basically became firmly established. They didn't have sacrifices at all, so now they had to completely go towards the way of knowledge.
So, what's the theme that you see? Hopefully, you see it—the constant track record of choosing knowledge over life. Just like in the very beginning, in the Garden of Eden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—pride, doing it your own way, seeking self-salvation through knowledge, not having the knowledge of God's righteousness, which, of course, leads you to life and repentance, but rather having a counterfeit knowledge and leading you to destruction.
So, the word synagogue is actually very profoundly deep. It has a lot of things that it brings up about institutional religion, about doing it your own way, about counterfeit faith, tree of knowledge versus tree of life, and so on.
In Revelation 12, we also see an image of the woman running away from the dragon, which, of course, is a picture of the true church versus the counterfeit. Because we know that the woman runs away for 1,260 days.
That also lines up with the first beast, which is the papacy. So, there's a distinction between an antichrist power and a true group of people during this time that are struggling together.
Of course, the antichrist power is not struggling because it's been given dominion, but there is a struggle there in some sense. Of course, the 1,260 period also shows up in the two witnesses, and we talk about that in the end time series, where the two witnesses are the word of God.
While the beast is ruling and trotting over the saints, you have the woman running away, the true believers being persecuted and running away, and you have the word of God being in sackcloth and ashes because it was suppressed until the printing press came along.
So, you also have things in Daniel that mirror these things. And, of course, you have to read Revelation with Daniel because Daniel talks about the little horn trotting all over the saints and basically suppressing them.
So, the picture is very clear. There is the true church, which is invisible, and you have the counterfeit institution, which is visible. One is invisible, and it's by God's choice, election, and it's also decentralized with God.
One is the opposite—visible, by man's choices and tradition, and centralized to Satan. The invisible church and the visible church—this is the dynamic. The visible church is the final manifestation of the mystery religion of the tree of knowledge, of doing it your own way, of man's word over God's word, and so on.
So, conclusion: the Bible is about God and his people. Therefore, the prophecies have to deal with the church. They don't have to deal with Jews or Muslims or atheists or Zionists or anything else. They have to deal with the church and what the church is going to go through.
From the right lens, both prophetically and historically, it is abundantly clear that the threat is internal, not external. It's abundantly clear that the threat has to do with counterfeit worship.
Hopefully, you see that Satan can't compete with God openly. He can't offer an alternative that’s appealing to God. He has to counterfeit what God does, make it almost right, and play off of the truth but spin it toward his own agenda.
Of course, the Bible warns us countless times of counterfeits throughout the church age until the very end. A lot of people make the mistake of going for the obvious when it comes to the synagogue of Satan because there are truths related to Zionism and the Jews.
The Jews betrayed Jesus. See my documentary on why the Jews are not God's chosen people, with the rabbinic Judaism versus Levitical religion and the counterfeits there. There's a lot of evil teachings in the Talmud. Certainly, I've talked about them before, and hopefully, you know some of them at least.
There's Zionist and Jewish control in politics, banking, media, pharmaceuticals. It's not a conspiracy; it's true. You can look it up yourself. There's a lot of counterfeit believers that have been converted into Judaism, Khazars.
There's a lot of overlap with the Crusades and creating bastard Jewish children, crypto-Jews, lots of non-Jews calling themselves Jews. Kabbalah is also part of secret societies, New Age cults, and so on.
Of course, that's very intimately linked to Judaism. So, there's some truth to this. There's some truth here, but it's a distraction from seeing where things will go in history.
You need to expand your view and your understanding of spiritual things because all the things I mentioned are part of the synagogue of Satan. They are not exclusively the synagogue of Satan.
Remember, these are obvious evils and external attacks. The Talmud is an obviously evil book. The Tallit is obviously evil, and it's an external attack.
The Bible doesn't warn you about obviously evil external attacks. The Bible warns you about people that say they're one thing, i.e., believers in God, but actually secretly are serving Satan.
The Bible warns about non-obvious evils and internal attacks, not obvious evils and external attacks. If that's one thing you can learn from this entire presentation, however long it's going to be—I got a lot of material—if you can learn one thing, it's that the Bible warns of non-obvious internal attacks, not obvious external attacks.
Very important. There's no deep state that the Bible warns you about. The Bible warns you about a false light system. Also, you have the issues that we've talked about before, where the Beast created Zionism plus the state of Israel and dispensationalism to ultimately bring the world to itself.
The Beast uses physical Israel, which is a counterfeit, to hide spiritual Israel so that it can therefore hide itself. Do you see the point of having the Jews front and center?
We have a whole section on the relationship between the beasts and the Jews in this presentation. But there is a very important reason why the Beast is so pro-physical Israel because physical Israel hides spiritual Israel.
The devil always moves your attention to the flesh, to the physical world, because then you can be manipulated. You're darting around like this rather than sitting and having a bird's eye view, which God gives you.
He gives you the meta; he gives you the code so that you can interpret events. Because if you realize that Israel is spiritual, well then, it's pretty obvious who stepped into the temple and proclaimed himself to be God.
The Beast also uses physical Israel as a proxy to do all its dirty deeds, which you'll learn today, to build hatred for the wrong group and hide itself again, and also justify the conversion of the Jews at the end.
The Jews are being played, folks. The Jews at the top are just papal puppets. They don't care, left or right, whatever they call themselves, whether they're called Catholics or evangelicals or whatever.
The average Jew is going to get played by the charismatic movement and going to be shepherded into that reality by their masters and the people lording it over them—the nicians.
So, the Jews are going to be converted. Like I've said, do not hate the wrong group. Don't hate anybody, really. Hate sin, hate the devil, but don't hate anybody.
The point is to realize that what people have told you about the synagogue of Satan is probably not true, or at least not the full truth, let's put it that way.
The Jews are going to be integrated because the world will marvel after the Beast. So, if you think that they are the main villains of the story, which the Beast wants you to think, when they lose and they're going to be converted and there's a revival in Israel, you are going to be ripe for the picking for the deception that's coming.
That's the point. The Jews are not the main villains, folks. The ones in power are just being puppeted by the enemy. The people in power is the Roman power, the power that has been ruling for the last 2,000 years.
Of course, the power has been ruling since the fall through various mystery religion forms. But nevertheless, the final iteration of that power is the Roman pontiff.
Today, we're going to look at how the synagogue of Satan is fulfilled by the counterfeit Christian power of the Roman Catholic Church and its various orders, like the Jesuits and so on.
We'll also look at the overlap with the occult Jews who say that they are Jews but they are not, actually, like the Rothschilds. We also look at the counterfeit worship of secret societies and how it all ties together.
The synagogue of Satan is not a particular group of people. It's not one thing. It's not the Jews. It's not just the Jesuits. It's not just the Freemasons.
This is the point. You need to see the synagogue of Satan as the overall threat and pattern of the thing that says it's one thing but it's actually another thing. That's what God is warning us about.
Again, in Revelation 13:2, the dragon gave the Beast its power and great authority and its throne. If you've watched my videos, then you already know this very clearly.
But I want to establish it really quickly. In Revelation 2:3, it says, "I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is." This is the Church of Pergamum. Yet you hold fast my name, and you do not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was killed among you where Satan dwells.
So, Satan's throne and Satan dwells in Pergamum. Now, that's an important point because let's get our view a little differently here.
This is the Pergamon altar. If you've seen this, the huge altar—very interesting situation here. This was actually moved, I believe, to Berlin. The Pergamon altar was a monumental construction built during the reign of ancient Greek king Eumenes II in the first half of the 2nd century BC on one of the terraces of the Acropolis of Pergamon in Asia Minor.
Here it is, and the occult are all about it. Now, there's something I wanted to look at here because it wasn't actually a function.
Here we go. Contrary to popular belief, the Pergamon altar is not a temple but probably the altar of a temple. So, this giant thing—let's go back up—this giant thing is not a temple; it is an altar where a deity is supposed to come down and receive a sacrifice.
Let's go back. Although altars were generally located outdoors in front of their temples, it is supposed that the Athena Temple located on the Acropolis terrace above it may have been its cultic point of reference, and the altar possibly serves solely as a place of sacrifice.
This theory is supported by several statue-based and consecrating inscriptions found in the vicinity of the altar, and whose donors named Athena. Another possibility is that both Zeus and Athena were jointly honored.
It could also be that the altar had an independent function in contrast to a temple, which always had an altar. An altar did not necessarily have to have a temple. Altars could, for example, be quite small and placed in houses or, less commonly, have a gigantic dimension, as in the case of the Pergamon altar.
The few remnants of inscriptions do not provide enough information to determine which god the altar was dedicated to. Well, the Bible tells you. So far, none of these theories is generally accepted.
The situation led a longtime director of excavations in Pergamon, Wolfgang Radt, to conclude, "No research is undisputed concerning the most famous artistic masterpiece of the Pergamon. Neither the builder nor the date nor the occasion nor the purpose of the construction."
It's got a model here that shows you. So, the Pergamon altar is a very mysterious situation, and it's not a temple, but it's rather an altar where a deity is supposed to come down.
That's the throne of the deity, and the Bible tells you that Satan's throne is there and Satan dwells there, which is a very interesting situation.
Now, we know that there is an unbroken chain between Nimrod and Babylon to Rome to the papacy. We know that through one of many things, but this is an article from History Stack Exchange: "Did the Babylonian priesthood flee to Pergamon?"
In reading Brent Winters' "The Excellence of the Common Law" right now, I'm reading it, which relies heavily on the idea that the priesthood of Babylon fled to Pergamon when Babylon was conquered in 539 BC.
The authority of this priesthood was then inherited by Rome when Attalus III willed the kingdom to Rome in the 2nd century BC. Winter's quote, William Brookhart Barker's book "Layers and Penet," establishes this idea, as well as Donald Grey Barnhouse's "The Invisible War."
"The king of Babylon, Nimrod, built a bridge across the Euphrates River and gave himself the title of the great bridge builder. The title was transferred centuries later to a king of Asia Minor. Attalus of Pergamon was taken by the Caesars and finally fell to the popes, who boast in it today: Pontifex Maximus, the great bridge builder."
Keep that in mind. I think that was all I highlighted. No, there's more. When Cyrus conquered Babylon in 539 BC, he left the city intact, and Babylonians were free to worship their god Marduk.
So, there would be no reason to flee. In some historical accounts, the people seemed to like him ruling better than their Babylonian predecessors, Balthazar and Nebuchadnezzar.
In the years that followed, however, there were several insurrections during Darius's reign in 520, 521 BC, and 482 BC under Xerxes. During these, the rebel king and priests were executed, and a great part of the city was destroyed, along with their temples of worship.
The remaining priests fled to Pergamon, which at that time was a Roman city, like the Washington D.C. of Asia Minor. The dates check out, and the reason for their exile makes sense from a historical standpoint.
Not to mention, the vehicle through which the Babylonian religious paganism is adopted by Rome before Christianity is the Emperor Constantine. Some of this is found in the archaeological record, the Cyrus cylinder, an inscription found by Darius I.
I would start there. Herodotus may have also written about it, but all the above checks out according to the biblical account as well.
So, why is this so significant? Well, Nimrod and the religious system, which you will learn about, continued the mystery religion from before the flood and through sun worship and sun legends and things like that.
All of that was in Babylon, and all of that eventually migrated its way into Rome because of these various upheavals. These people transferred their high priestly titles to the Caesars when the Caesars conquered it and came as a show of peace, as a show of honor.
"Here you are now, the Pontifex Maximus." So, that title from Nimrod all the way through found its way into one man, one God-king on the throne all the time, which is a fascinating situation.
Of course, today, the Pope is the Pontifex Maximus, who inherited from Constantine. Constantine was the Pontifex Maximus, and he was the Roman Emperor.
Of course, he "converted" to Christianity, but I doubt it. I talk about that quite a bit. But the point is that Constantine was the leader of the Roman Empire while simultaneously also being the head of the church because he legalized Christianity.
So, he was the head of the cults, and there was an interesting overlap where suddenly now Satan has one man in both the political and the religious, as he always had.
So, the counterfeit took some time, but if you understand how Satan has woven this counterfeit through history, you can see the future destination.
Now, there's one more thing from Kora. This is a thing of Gilgamesh. Of course, Gilgamesh is Nimrod, and you can see this is a famous engraving of him as a giant.
Probably, he was part Nephilim, and he's wrestling this lion and taking it out. Now, this is a very interesting thing because we know that the scriptures tell you that Jesus is the lion.
In this case, this shows you this man taking out the lion. So, there's definitely a lot of antichrist rebellious threads—maximum rebellion.
This is the point—assuring the authority of God. And, of course, who maximizes that today? It's the Pope. The Pope, who says he's the vicar of Christ, he's the vicar of the Lion of Judah, but in fact, he's actually assuring his authority.
So, very interesting that these things are testified to by history and historical patterns. This is the Temple of Saturn in Rome.
Of course, if you look—ah, can I close you? Can I see like a better—there we go. Here's Vatican City. Oh, it just doesn't show it. Temple of Saturn, Metropolitan Saturn Temple.
Which one? Yeah, there's one. Here's the view. It's kind of silly because of this stupid Google thing. But here's the Temple of Saturn, right? And right across the street, what do you get?
Where are you, Vatican? Where is the Vatican? There it is, right across the street, right across the River Tiber. Here's the Temple of Saturn, here's Vatican City.
So, there's that as well. So, conclusion with all these things. I've discussed these things quite a lot in many areas, many other videos. I'm just touching on them now.
But if you want loads of evidence, see my end times series. I also have in the end times folder in the library a lot of a folder just with a ton of documentation on the Pope and the papal power and things like that.
We'll go over some of it today in a later section, just touch on it. There's also the episode, I believe it's episode 17 in the end time series, exposing Mystery Babylon—three and a half hours of just straight evidence of the Pope's blasphemies and the Roman Catholic Church's abominations.
But there's more in every other video. Of course, we talk about it quite a bit, like we talk about Daniel. Daniel 2, the statue from Babylon, being all the way from the beginning to the end.
It's one system. It's one statue. Do you get it? It's one statue. It's really just degrading over time. Everything's degrading, and the final system is barely hanging on.
But nevertheless, it's going to seem very good, but it's one system, different packaging. Daniel 7 talks about the four beasts plus a power that comes out of the fourth beast and rules for 1,260 years.
We know that the four beasts paralleled the statue and the other visions of the ram and the goat and so on as the same order of empires: Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome.
And, of course, there's the power that comes out of Rome—that is the little horn power—and it rules for 1,260 years. So, that's all consistent.
Interestingly enough, the Beast of Revelation 13 has seven heads, and if you add up the heads of the beasts in Daniel, in Daniel 7, it's seven heads total.
If you look at the description of the beast in Revelation 13, paws like a bear, teeth like a lion—I forget the exact wording of it—but the point is that the description of the beast in Revelation 13 is specifically the animals that Daniel saw.
It's a conglomerate of these various beasts. It has the same amount of heads total as all of the beasts of Daniel, and it has the same qualities of all these various animals—leopard, lion, bear—in itself.
Meaning we can compile these two witnesses together and say, "Okay, the power that comes out of Rome that rules for 1,260 years," because both of these—the little horn is the first beast of Revelation 13, same thing.
That means that the power that comes out of Rome is a conglomerate of all of these empires, and it espouses all of this pagan system. It's really the final iteration of all of the mystery religion coming forward.
Therefore, from all of that, the papal power is Satan's final attempt through a god-king ruling the political and the spiritual to rule the earth. Pergamum was the seat of the Babylonian spiritual power through the high priests—the seat of Satan.
You can see that giant altar that was there to summon the deity. Of course, in their minds, it was probably Zeus or whatever, but we know that Satan was parading around his different false gods.
Nevertheless, there was an altar, which is an interesting point. It's not a temple; it's an altar, which tells you everything. The throne of Satan was in Pergamum spiritually, and that throne was given to Rome.
Of course, we see that also in Bible prophecy as well in history. History and the Pope today is called the Pontifex Maximus, which is really just a modern Nimrod.
He's the modern Nimrod, folks. He's the great bridge builder, killing the lion, of course. Again, that's the highest form of rebellion at its maximum—to try to think that you can assure God.
And, of course, he's the great bridge builder also in the sense that he's going to destroy many by way of peace. In Daniel 8:24-25, it says, "This is a little horn. Now his power shall be great, but not by his own power, and he shall cause fearful destruction, and he shall succeed in what he does and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints."
So, this is an internal attack. He has a lot of power, but not by his own power. Very fascinating. By his cunning, he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind, he shall become very great.
Without warning, he shall destroy many, and he shall even rise up against the prince of princes, and he shall be broken, but by no human hand.
Now, in this, a better rendition, I think, is in the KJV, where it says, "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his land."
I wonder if the WLT is a better one. "By his understanding, he shall cause deceit to prosper in his hands." So, there's different renditions of it, but either way, you get the idea that the power that's coming is targeting the saints.
Great power, not by his own power—not by his own, you know, his own army. Very interesting. And he's going to be utilizing deception to the maximum, just like Paul says.
So, this power is an internal attack. It's a counterfeit attack, not an external attack. The power is right in front of you, but most people can't see it because they do not have a foundation, and they do not study their history.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 says, "The coming of the lawless one—remember, lawless is appropriated to counterfeit faith—is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders."
Not just power, but all power. All of Satan's deceptive supernatural power is going to be channeled towards this final outcome of receiving worship. It's his last stand.
And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. Now, just before you forget who's in charge, therefore God sends them a strong delusion so that they believe what is false, in order that they may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The reprobate, who God authored in the story, he authorizes the great delusion to come upon them so they can be destroyed and so that God can reveal his people from the ashes.
So, marveling at the beast in Revelation 13 is the coming of the lawless one. It's the same event. And that event, Paul says, is by the maximum deceptive power of Satan.
But, of course, today, you know very differently. You know, and you're aware, of course, all of these things. We'll be getting into more and more details as we go through this presentation so that you are completely aware and not deceived, and that you can help others as well.
Now, another topic that comes into this that we need to kind of address is the idea of the serpent seed. Many people, unfortunately, believe this thing—the serpent seed.
I have a whole series on it. Make sure you go watch it because a lot of conversations about the synagogue of Satan tie into serpent seed conspiracy theories. A lot of Israelite movements, whether it's black Israelite, white Israelite, Talmudic Judaism, espouse the belief that Eve slept with Satan.
There's a lot of conspiracies about reptilians ruling the world. There's a lot of crossover into the whole synagogue of Satan thing. But, of course, as usual, people are drifted away into fairy tales and physical, fleshly interpretations so that the true meaning of these things—the true meaning of what it means to be the synagogue of Satan—can be hidden from their eyes, and they can be deceived later on with the final deception.
People also don't understand the hidden agenda of the serpent seed as a teaching. The hidden agenda of the serpent seed, it all comes back to God and the gospel, folks. Just like the synagogue of Satan is designed to obscure to you spiritual Israel so that you don't fall for the deception that's coming—the counterfeit gospel that's coming.
So too is the serpent seed designed to seduce you with intrigue and, "Oh my gosh, what happened?" And in the process of feeding your eyes with fleshly things, you are deceived and drawn away from profoundly spiritual and profoundly important truths on election, predestination, free will.
What does it mean to be free? The gospel—all of these things that I talk about in my series. So, make sure you check that out.
But people don't know what the serpent seed is, and they think that it's some new thing, maybe. I don't know because the serpent seed has been around for a very long time, at least as long as the Gnostics in the early church.
So, why do people believe these things? Why do they persist in clinging to them? Well, because they love to have their itching ears scratched. You can count that I will never scratch your itching ears.
I will not be scratching anybody's ears here. My goal is to feed you the meat so your ears can grow nice and big. They don't have any spiritual foundation. All of the core teachings of Christianity that we've outlined, they don't study them. They don't practice their basics.
And, of course, they have some sort of hatred that they need to vent towards a group of people, and so this is a perfect way to justify that hatred. But, of course, the Bible is about spiritual things. I've said that many times, and I'll say it yet again.
1 John 3:8 says, "Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil."
What was the original work of the devil? The original work of the devil was the mystery religion created in Genesis 3. Verse 9 says, "No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him."
Are we talking about physical things here or spiritual things? And he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. How can you lose your salvation if you have God's seed?
You cannot keep on sinning. Of course, the main sin is the sin of unbelief and apostasy and rebellion. So, by this, it is evident who are the children of God and who are the children of the devil.
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. Are we talking about physical things? No, because John wrote that God is spirit, and you have to worship him in spirit and truth.
God is spirit—spiritual things. So, to be God's seed or the devil's seed is measured by your faith and repentance or your rebellion and your counterfeit faith.
Luke 8:1 says the parable of the sower: "The seed is the word of God." So, the seed, according to Jesus, is the word of God. And John says that if you have God's seed, i.e., the word in you, then you don't keep on sinning.
Of course, it doesn't mean you're suddenly completely righteous or sanctified. That's not what it says. The sin there is the sin of unbelief, belief, and rebellion, which is the main sin in the Bible, which leads to counterfeit faith.
But, of course, the seed is the word of God. And, yeah, we read about Cain being evil because of his works, not because of his physical seed.
So, Cain did not have God's word. He did not believe. He did not trust God. He didn't choose the tree of life. He chose the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
He didn't want a relationship with God. Cain espoused, as a result, Satan's word of the mystery religion: "You can save yourself. You're inherently good. You can do it your own way. You're sovereign," etc., etc., etc.
It's one of the two, folks. There's only two words. There's the real word, the true word, and there's the counterfeit word. And the counterfeit word results in the fruits of the mystery religion, as we can clearly see through history.
Again, the Bible's about spiritual things, not physical things. The serpent seed hides the truth about election, predestination, monergism, free will. What does that mean? What is synergism? Why is it evil?
And, of course, why? Because these things, when you know them, when you understand a monistic gospel, when you understand a monistic faith, you can refute identity politics and dialectics very, very simply.
Like this whole thing with Trump and voting: "We got to vote out the deep state." If you understand that God appoints every king and power in history, the great delusion is by what? God is the one who sends the great delusion, folks.
Yeah, Satan's the one doing it, but God is the one sending it. Do you get it? God's the ultimate authority. He's the primary cause.
So, when you understand that God appoints all things—all evil, all good—then voting is totally meaningless. And getting wrapped up in the storm of, "You got to do this, you got to do this, otherwise you're not a true Christian if you don't fight the deep state," if you don't get involved in this dialectic.
So, that's why Satan attacks the teaching of predestination, election, monism all the time through many different ways that we've talked about.
Now, the serpent seed also hides the truth about end times because it diverts your attention away from the counterfeit enemy. I should say the counterfeit to the counterfeit enemy.
So, it diverts attention from the real counterfeit. Remember that there's a real and a fake. The real counterfeit, which is the false light of the Roman Catholic Church with its god-king as the Pope, it diverts your attention away from that to, you know, all sorts of nonsense: reptilians, the socialist, communist New World Order, Zionism, and so on and so forth.
"Oh, all those are serpent seed. It's because there's serpents deep down inside. That's why." And so you focus on the wrong thing, and therefore you do not understand the trajectory of history.
I said this before in my other series, like with the Israelite scope, that Satan does not waste a single scope that he has created. The serpent seed has many purposes.
So, you can see how it hits multiple avenues of trying to attack your faith. That's why it's important to have your basics—to know eschatology, to know soteriology, to know your Christology, to know your study of what the church is, what does the afterlife say, what does the Bible say about the afterlife, Sunday or Saturday, which one is it, seventh day or first day, and why.
You should know all of these things because that—excuse me, voice is getting a little dry—but that keeps your lens clear. If your lens is foggy, you're not going to be able to see very well.
So, it's important to not be snared by the serpent seed teaching, especially as you are learning about this, what the synagogue of Satan really is.
Now, I also want to talk about the nature of Mystery Babylon. Like I said before, it's not just the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the manifestation of the mystery religion in the church age.
The mystery religion has been around for much longer. Satan couldn't use paganism anymore, so he counterfeited what Christ did, which is build a church in the church age.
Christ built an invisible church. Satan, because he works in the physical world, built a physical, visible church. But Satan continued his ancient mystery religion from the beginning of time and dressed it up as a counterfeit bride of Christ.
If you look in history, you will always see a city with a god-king. Right after the flood, you had Nimrod as the god-king with Babel, the Tower of Babel. Then you had Assyria with Nineveh.
And, of course, Nineveh is called the mistress of witchcrafts, I believe, in the KJV. Let me see here.
Let's see. Horsemen lifted up both bright sword and the glittering spear, and there is a multitude of slain and a great number of carcasses, and there is none, and of their corpses they stumble upon their corpses because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts that sells nations through her whoredoms and families through her witchcrafts.
Doesn't that sound to you like Mystery Babylon at the end of time? So, people who think that, "Well, it's Jerusalem," well, no. This is being applied to Nineveh, which is the Assyrian capital.
But why? Because there's always a capital city with a god-king for Satan's empire. And that capital changes because God is judging these empires one after another.
So, Satan has to transfer the knowledge to a new place and have another god-king and so on and so forth. The Chaldeans, Babylon—Jeremiah 51:7.
This one we can do ESV because it's easier: "Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord's hand, making all the earth drunken. The nations drank of her wine; therefore, the nations went mad."
Does that sound to you like Mystery Babylon in Revelation 17? Right? So, if that's the case, and this is being applied to now Babylon, but isn't talking about the city of Babylon, he's talking about a spiritual template, a spiritual entity that moves through time and manifests physically through these various empires.
Of course, again, we had Pergamum after that. Revelation 2:13, we talked about how basically they fled to Pergamum. Satan's throne—they transferred their power there to the Roman Caesars through Attalus III.
Later in the New Testament, you have Peter calling Rome Babylon. 1 Peter 5:13: "She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son."
This isn't real Babylon. He's talking about Rome. The reason he says Babylon is it's coded. The Romans aren't going to understand, but the Christians will understand.
Why do they understand? Because Rome is recognized by Christians because most of them were Jews initially, and they knew their scriptures, and they knew that these powers were transferring through time.
In Daniel 7:12, it says, "As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time."
That suggests to you that even though the dominion of the beast was taken away, their life was prolonged. That is confirmed by Revelation 13, where the beast, the first beast from the sea, has all of the qualities of these beasts integrated into it.
It has the characteristics—the lion, the bear, the leopard—and then it also has seven heads, meaning the total number of heads of these beasts is in this final beast.
So, it's an amalgamation. Daniel 2, again, you have one statue, one system. But it's multiple packages. So, there's always one god-king with one main capital city ruling an empire, and that has changed through time, but it's the same thing.
Do you get it? That's Mystery Babylon. And you can see it having these iterations through these pagan empires throughout time.
In Revelation 17:8, it says, "And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth."
Well, I can tell you right now, Jerusalem is not the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth. "Oh, the Jews rule everything." No, they don't. Jerusalem has been nothing for the last 2,000 years.
It's gotten some hype with the Zionist state of Israel, which is a papal project. But the city that's ruled over the kings of the earth, folks, if you know your history, it's been Rome.
Come on now. Rome is literally the heart of the Western world. All roads do literally lead to Rome, so you should know that.
And, of course, today, it has a city within a city, which is the Vatican, which is even more prophetically appropriate. So, the Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon, but Mystery Babylon is not just the Catholic Church.
Mystery Babylon is the occult mystery religion of the ages from Eden all the way to the end. The mystery religion has always had a headquarter, a city exporting the witchcraft and the paganism to the world, basically through the guise of, of course, in the church age, through the guise of religion, but exporting its ideas to the world and influencing the world.
And, of course, at the headquarters, you always have a concentrated power within a god-king. God is always judging these pagan powers, so Satan has to constantly change tactics and move here, move there.
And, of course, God allows it because it's part of the plan of his revelation, and he has allowed the final power of the counterfeit church within the church age to exist until he returns and destroys it.
So, you're not voting out the deep state. You're not going to take care of the devil on your own. The devil's going to be worshiped. The world will marvel after the Beast.
Most people will worship the devil. Only Christ can come and destroy this system because God has allowed it to take power to reveal his own power so that when Jesus returns, and he goes with the breath of his mouth and these things just go poof, up in flames, however it's going to work, you realize then, "Wow, I know who is sovereign now."
I really know it. Like, you know it intellectually, but when you see it, like the Israelites in Egypt, which was a picture of the end, like the Israelites saw the marvelous signs and wonders in Egypt, this giant empire, which God, by the way, gave life to.
He gave life to it. He allowed it to come to power. He raised Pharaoh up for the expressed purpose of what? Destroying him in front of the Israelites.
That's very insulting to the modern mind that believes in free will salvation and synergism. But you either pick a sovereign God or a sovereign man. And if you go with a sovereign man, you're going to be deceived because God is sovereign.
So, God reveals these things to us so that we have the truth about what's coming. But the Israelites were a picture of the final thing, which is that God will destroy this system and reveal his power.
That's why it has been allowed to take power, so that he can reveal his own power in his destruction. Now, Mystery Babylon is the mother of all abominations.
Mother of all abominations is all of history, and that means from the Garden of Eden all the way to the return of Christ, all of the abominations. That means that Mystery Babylon's scope is much larger than the Roman Catholic Church.
Of course, the Roman Catholic Church is definitely the mother of abominations in the church age. Certainly, all things can be tied to her one way or another, but not in all of history because the Roman Catholic Church didn't exist before, you know, 321 AD.
So, we're looking at over 4,000 years of history worth of abominations. Therefore, Mystery Babylon is not just the Roman Catholic Church. It's greater in scope. It is a spiritual entity.
It's the spirit of antichrist, the rebellious harlot, which, of course, manifests in the church age as a counterfeit body of believers, counterfeit bride of Christ. An example: Judaism is a harlot, is an abomination.
It's also a harlot daughter of the mystery religion. But Judaism came before the Roman Catholic Church, obviously. Now, of course, some people believe Mystery Babylon is Jerusalem, but this is not true.
Please watch my refuting prism episode towards the end of my end time series. Prism is easy to refute, but it was created by Alcazar, which was a Jesuit. Prism is designed to take your attention off of history so you don't look for history as how it confirms the Bible and therefore identify the Catholic Church.
Either way, the point is that the mother of harlot daughters and abominations is much more expansive than people realize. In the church age, it's an easy way to identify the Roman Catholic Church because the Roman Catholic Church boasts that she's the mother of the churches.
She's the mother of the denominations. Well, of course, woman in the Bible symbolically envisions, represents the body of believers. As you can see in Revelation 12, the woman that gives birth to the Messiah, Israel, physical Israel, is the one also who runs away from the dragon for 1,260 years.
Therefore, the woman is the same. But what's changed? Well, what's changed is the New Testament. But the woman is the same. It's still spiritual Israel.
Spiritual Israel gave birth to the Messiah. Spiritual Israel continues and runs from the dragon for 1,260 years. So, that's the good body of believers.
Now, if you are a harlot, that means you are an apostate body of believers. You want an apostate church of some kind because the woman is the New Testament, is the bride of Christ.
Therefore, a prostitute, if we're going to be consistent, is a counterfeit bride of Christ. And if you are the mother of prostitutes, then you are the mother of other counterfeit believing denominations, right?
Counterfeit harlots who say, "I'm special. Look at me. I have an exclusive thing going on with God." It's the way that we say that it's right.
Of course, the Catholic Church is prima donna in all this because it is the mother of abominations and harlots. "No salvation for you outside the church. I'm the true church."
And, of course, every other denomination follows in their footsteps. The Orthodox—very arrogant religion. I'm not saying people; I'm just saying the religion itself.
"We're the true church. We're the ones who kept the faith. We're the ones who..." I have a whole episode on Orthodoxy. Check it out.
Why Orthodoxy is a harlot daughter of Mystery Babylon. Harlot daughter. Protestants also—harlot daughters. They kept all the trappings and the fruits of their mother: Sunday sacredness, all the teachings and the major doctrines, institutionalized religion.
They just couldn't let it go. They couldn't be happy with a spiritual, simplistic way of being. You couldn't be happy with just brotherhood, invisible church, Christ is in heaven ruling, election, simple things, fellowship.
Couldn't be happy with that. They love the institutionalization. They love all these things—all these harlotries from their mother. And, of course, this is the problem.
So, the church age is a very easy way to identify, I should say, the mother of harlots is an easy way to identify the Roman Catholic Church as Mystery Babylon because she's the mother of apostate churches.
The true church is invisible and by God's election. No apostasy. The counterfeits are visible and by man's election. "Oh, I'm a Baptist," or "I'm this," or "I'm an Adventist," or "I'm a Methodist."
So, these are counterfeits. But, of course, again, the mother of harlot daughters also must extend to the entirety of history.
So, what are some harlot daughters of before the church age? Well, you have Judaism as a harlot daughter—very simple. We talked about how that fits the synagogue of Satan.
Mother of cults and religions, mystery religion's counterfeit ways of trying to approach God, and so on and so forth. Parentage in the Bible is often used as a picture of spiritual lineage, meaning who do you align yourself with?
The reason Cain was evil was not because he was physically DNA. He had physical reptilian DNA. The reason Cain was evil was because his works were evil. He aligned with the devil's word instead of submitting to God's word.
That's why he was evil, is what the Bible tells you. And that's why he was a child of the devil. So, the point of Revelation 17 with Mystery Babylon is that basically this—the thing that you see coming to power that the kings of the earth will be giving themselves to is actually the old thing that's always been around since the beginning.
That is, I believe, the message of Revelation 17 in like a nutshell statement. The thing that you see that is coming to power that the kings of the earth will give their power to gladly, i.e., the Catholic Church, i.e., the first beast from the sea, who helped by the false prophet, i.e., the man of lawlessness—all of these various visions from different perspectives—that thing is actually the thing that's been around since the Garden of Eden.
It's the mystery religion, which cycled through these various packages and finally manifesting as the ultimate deception to test you between the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.
So, today is about understanding both of these aspects as a counterfeit bride of Christ and also as the ancient mystery religion underneath that counterfeit.
This allows you to see spiritual patterns throughout history and not get fixated on physical things, like it's the Jews or it's the Jesuits. Most people have watched my videos and know that the Catholic Church is the main villain of the story.
If you already know that, then you'll see how it is the manifestation of the mystery religion of the ages. If you don't know that and you think maybe the synagogue of Satan is the Jews, well, today, hopefully, we'll expand your understanding to something much more profound.
Because we're looking at the whole breadth of history and Satan's activity throughout time so that we can understand what is ahead and coming. The Roman Catholic Church, with its Pope as the top of the food chain, is the final iteration of this system where you have a god-king and you have a worldwide mystery, an occult religion matrix with its secret societies and mystery orders and mystery schools.
All these antichrist threads—all of these things are connected to the papacy. And we'll document all of that. But behind the Roman Catholic Church is the spirit of antichrist.
It's the mystery religion. That's the point. That is the point revealed to you in the scriptures. Behind the papal institution is Satan himself.
So, Satan has been very, very busy creating many threads, and ultimately, the Bible tells you that he is going to integrate all of these threads into the Roman Catholic Church with its god-king at the end of time.
He has to. He has to. Think about it from the same—from the perspective of the devil. He's thrown down to earth. His judgment has been proclaimed.
Now, he wants one thing. He wants to be worshiped. That means he has to integrate everything. So, the Bible reveals to you that place he has to put his power into one place and integrate everything in order to receive worldwide worship.
And, of course, that day will come sooner than you think. Now, whether you think the Pope is it or you believe the Jesuit General is pulling the strings or the papal families are pulling the strings, what matters is understanding what the Bible has to say—not getting lost in these various conspiracies.
We'll look at them, but what matters is understanding what the Bible has to say. The Bible identifies for you the way that Satan is going to receive worship, which is through the papal institution and a system of government—the image of the Beast that will enforce that worship.
Of course, that means that we are headed back towards what it used to have. The image of the Beast is a representation of the Beast who was the Beast.
Well, the Beast, as is initially showed to you before the mortal wound, is the medieval papacy, where it ruled with an iron fist over the civilized world.
So, the Bible identifies to you that this is the direction of history. Every generation in history got to see some crazy things, but today we're going to get the entire track of history from the very beginning to the very end and to look at it with great detail and marvel.
So, I hope that you're grateful again that God called you into this time to look at such precious truths and such important, important things.
Now we have a thorough biblical foundation so we can begin this journey with the right perspective. I will be documenting a lot of history, but our focus is going to be to see the bigger picture.
So, be able to take in the information, tolerate it, put pins in different places so that we can integrate it after we're done. You'll see time and again that the issue is about counterfeit worship, counterfeit salvation, trying to do it your own way, going the way of Cain, and yet being destroyed.
The point of the past is so that we can understand what's coming in the future. This is my goal—to edify you in the truth so that you are not deceived by what is to come.
Now, onward to a history of evil, part two.
