We come now to celebrate the life of our sincere career. We come now to comfort our family as we celebrate the dignity of her life, where her life did not receive dignity in halftime economy. It receives dignity now in [Music]. That no family, Sean Smith, will come and offer us the Old Testament and the New Testament reading by Bishop Aaron B. Lackey, the presiding of the United Church Churches of God in Christ. And then we will have the prayer of comfort by Bishop W.J. McCarthy of Saint Galilea [Music].
Out to the Lord upon practicing his ears, upon opening up to there and crying. The face of the Lord is against the evil to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. This is the part of love. It says the Lord is nigh unto them that are of broken heart and saves such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Here’s the righteousness scripture reading will come from the Gospel according to Saint John, chapter 14, verses 1 through 6. The word of the Lord says, "Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also."
And how can we know the way? Jesus said unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." For the people of God together, that is home-born celebration, and we call upon the holy and divine name as we celebrate in life and love in the legacy of Brianna, 28 years young, gone too soon.
The mom is here, the dad is here, the sibling is here, the children are here, loved ones and well-wishers are here, the legal team is here, the media team is here, Al Sharpton is here. Lord, we cannot do anything unless you are here. We need you. You can't do anything until you come straight to the family, Father, during this hour of sorrow [Music] [Music].
So, Father, we simply ask you right now [Music]. God, for healing, did you give us hope that this type of tragedy would never happen again? Will kind of masturbate [Music]. Amen, amen, and amen [Music].
With me, Lord, light, life, and liberty, and love. With heavy hearts and anxious spirits, we come to your holy house to cast our cares upon you. We care about the life lost in this realm. We knew as we honor career. She didn't care on heaven's, but our right now concern is about her babies, these cherubic angels who are raising questions about their mother.
But we did, Jesus say, "Suffer the little children to come unto me." Long ago, that since God was spread so thin addressing the concerns of the world, that he brought into this world mothers to nurture, to guide, to protect, and love [Music]. A compassionate voice to the circumstance of these two angels will allow their mother to lay her head upon your breast and whisper in her ear that her babies will be provided for and protected and prepared along the way to meet the challenges of this life's journey, however long.
Loving grandparents have stepped forward to stand in and of that glad [Applause] [Music]. You and only you. So we come to you because you've always been there for us. We come to you because we know you'll never leave these babies nor forsake them. We come to you because you are God, and beside you, there is no other. These babies need your love, your divine hands sheltering them, lifting them, and ordering their steps. We pray, amen.

So [Music] so [Applause] [Music]. Thank you. Let everybody who loves God say praise the Lord. It was Harriet Tubman who said, "I freed thousands of slaves from slavery, but I could have freed thousands more if they had known they were slaves."
How many times has our nation sat by and our people suffered from the lack of realization that we are no longer slaves [Music]? Sometimes God raises up a prophet whose soul life is dedicated to the task of waking up the people from sleeping. It was a prophet, his name was Al Sharpton, who from a place in New York City dedicated his life as a very young man to the task of saying the words that God would say so the people would stand up and live like God said.
Here, we've watched it over all the years, developed and murdered and evolved and commanded the consciousness of the United States and the entire world with one clear message: we are not bound by slavery anymore.
So you see the national network, you see in 2004 a presidential campaign, you see a daily radio show, you see "Keeping It Real" on the radio, you see MSNBC on a weekly basis. You see a man whose life has been dedicated to the task of speaking truth to power and parting in the masses at the exact same time. And when he sits down, everybody's going to wake up.
So I'm going to let you know if you were in this room today, this beautiful baby girl has not died in vain because the prophet is calling to wake all of America up. After this selection by Gerard Admiral, the very next voice you are going to hear is the troubling voice of God, the Right Reverend Al Sharpton, president, founder, and CEO of the National Action Network. Let me say it, I've said that the program says that we come to celebrate her life, but we also come to condemn. We all want to act like we're here on the national circus. These two young twins that the grandparents attended crumb, and I walked them to the casket to see their mother for the last time. One day, you have to tell them the story of what happened to their mother.
But the troubling thing is that they will ask why, and I'm here today to join others that are saying that Georgia is going to have to start answering why [Applause].
As I walked down the aisle and saw when Gerald, one of the pioneering civil rights leaders in our tradition, and who so many years provided such leadership for us, he still, wherever Dr. King today. And I thought about how Dr. Aquinas, named after, was the president of SCLC when I started. We've been fighting these battles a long time, and the question is not how long we fight, but that we must continue to fight until we solve it.
I've in the property and saw presiding very Shannon Jones, brother running after state senate revenue activities, his brother. And we've come a long way, and the struggle is not about a seat struggling. And that is why when Ben Crump called and told me about Brianna and told me what happened and had her parents on the politician, my TV show, and they asked me to be here.
The thing that is most troubling to me is that the reports I read said that Brianna was having a mental health episode. But the issue to me is not what she was thinking, but what was the police thinking [Applause]?
The issue in my mind is their mind and the mind of the Lord [Applause] [Music] [Music]. She needed help. If she was in another community [Music], the dog [Music]. Her life didn't matter. Didn't you think nobody would come and stand for these two twins? That is [Applause].
And as I take my tests from Jones, I want to say to your parents and certainly Ben Crump. And let me say this, Ben, I call him the attorney general of Black America. He takes a lot of flack, but you only get flack when you do something. And I don't know when I'm done for decades. I don't know a lawyer smarter, wiser, more committed, and spends more hours working for justice and civil rights and civil liberties entertaining them [Applause].
One of the things you learn is we all defend each other because we take everybody. You know, on one side of town, you get more mess on your own side, folk mad at you for being you. But we have to defend each other because there's not too many freedom fighters left.
I want to say to these parents, sister and brother Greer, that I also, and to all of the loved ones, that I want you to not worry that we just flew in the days through back out. I got an event that I was supporting in New York, but I promised you all I'm going right back. But I want y'all to set up for fun for these dogs [Applause].

That I was thinking about Saint Luke's 12th chapter, 28th verse. I put [Music] but I can see it, and he reads, "To whom much is given, much is required." The background of this is that as Jesus was talking to his disciples and totally going away, and that he [Music].
Now there's two sides of this I want to address and just let you go. One side is that society gives more to law enforcement than other citizens [Applause] [Music].
When [Music] you are expected to be trained and behave in a manner that you don't react with your emotions, but you react with your training, and you may [Applause] if [Applause] [Applause] superior ability [Music].
You were confirmed by the state, Muslims here. Therefore, you were required to bring love to receive the medical attention [Applause]. And if you couldn't do the job [Applause] [Applause] [Applause], does this state require? Well, then all we're asking for is that you be accountable to the law. United force, you will, and you cannot explain how somebody in the back of a police cruiser ends up with that kind of injury that needs to job [Applause] [Music].
I don't know how far we've come. The other side of this is that we in the Black community, 65 [Music] Black vice president, got almost 60 Black members of Congress, a senator from jaws [Applause].
Look how much you would give [Music] [Applause]. Because as much [Applause] here to stand up [Applause]. We are not career sponsors. We are those that want the streets to spend nights in jail to put you in position [Applause].
Yes [Applause] is [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause].
Your parents and grandparents didn't have to come. Why are you on the right [Music] [Applause] [Applause]?
Black man, you've been sitting around [Applause]. Well, I'm a man [Applause]. People will see it [Music].
Much is required. That's why we hold the administration economy. That's why if the county don't do something about Rihanna, we're going to go to the [Applause]. The same justice department that this year we got to come in the case of George, this came back [Applause] or [Applause].
So [Applause] [Music]. Don't get in this like this is some competition, some more names somewhere. Somewhere we are [Applause] [Applause] to be better than [Applause].
And we must be worthy of our ancestors [Applause]. That's why, that's why Jones, Moses out is bondage. God brought the Red Sea. They lost their mind in the wilderness. They started doing the bullying [Music].
They forgot prophetically [Applause]. Twenty years, Joshua grew up in the movement. Best folks leave movement [Applause].

The promises [Applause] [Applause] to the airport. Steve lost all of he said, "I thought you know I see you go to the White House." I said, "I am here for a reason, not some TV." You are quiet [Music].

Many times this vessel, as a celebrity, this is the prophet. He can only do what he does because the Lord said to him. He can only do what he does because he was chosen by God to tell those who claimed America's attorney general, turning Benjamin.

Course of the justice, two years said goodbye to his wife, said goodbye to his son. He knows [Music] the city of land [Applause].
There are times in all of our lives when we just don't know what to say, but we don't know what to do [Music].
I, that brother John's conservative Al Sharpton, this great attorney [Music] and all of us, the career family, on behalf of all of the civil and human rights fighters for our history and this entire and honored community, let me say this to you as a word of comfort.
When my life passed after 54 years of marriage, I wondered what would I do for our savior. But I assure them to hold and let the world have to be died. One year later, my son of 47 passed.
And I say this to you because people are going to come to you and say, "We're sorry you lost Rihanna." And I had to stop people. Never say this. I didn't lose [Applause].
We come here to stand [Music].
1955, when we had to force America to look at the atrocities of what was happening to our children, a young man laid in the castle very much like this, and still, and we have the American ability atrocities that we are putting on our young people is already our mind.
What we need to do, Rihanna, I believe her name will be written in the book that says we want to humane society [Applause].

I'm looking at everyone here, and each one of us [Music] to [Music] [Applause].
But I want to share something with you. In 1955, there was a man. He was getting ready to do something in this country. He said, "I'm gonna go on television and preach the gospel," and everybody laughed at him [Music].
Is this man has two twin granddaughters standing with him to come back? That was knocked on the door. Two troopers were standing at the door. They came in to the man, and they said, "Sir, I know this is only a few moments ago." This man dropped his head, and some of us were losing the track name this [Music] [Applause].
To you, people all over the world, people all over the state of Georgia, your time now is due season, and we're not going to fail [Music] [Applause].
