When foreigners make clips, why are they addicted to Thailand? Many have said that when they have to leave Thailand, they can't stop thinking about this place. Yes, I can relate. I have also named Thailand as my number one favorite country after traveling almost all over the world. Chris has returned to Thailand again and shared his feelings and experiences, explaining why he and many other foreigners have fallen in love with Thailand and travel here so often.
This time, he came to Thailand with plans to visit the merchants he had previously helped. Khun Chris started his day by traveling from his accommodation in the Ekkamai area to the BTS station. During the journey, he talked about the first thing that makes many people love Thailand: the motorcycle taxi rides, which are his favorite method of transportation. While it may not be the safest option, it allows you to get anywhere conveniently, and the price is quite reasonable.
Another observation he made is that many retirees live in Thailand because the money they earn allows them to live comfortably here. He believes that retired foreigners are happy in Thailand for several reasons, one of which is the large shopping malls. You can find food everywhere, and while there is a lot of Sundanese food, he thinks Asian food tastes better and is reasonably priced.
Next, he mentioned accommodation. Living here, the price of accommodation is not expensive at all. You can find a great condo for around $500 a month, or even an apartment for $250 to $300, which is quite good quality, comfortable, fully furnished, and accessible. He was very happy to return this time. You can ask anyone who has traveled here; when they return to Thailand, they feel there is no place in the world quite like it, making them want to come back again and again. For him, no matter where he travels, he always wants to return to Thailand.
Thailand has some of the most amazing beaches, the best food in his opinion, and he loves the atmosphere of Bangkok. It's a really cool place where you can live comfortably on a local salary. When Chris arrived at his destination, he bought a watermelon at a roadside fruit shop for 20 baht. He remarked that Thai fruit is amazing—pineapple, watermelon, and dragon fruit are his favorites. However, if you buy these fruits in Phuket, they should cost around 100 baht.
After that, Mr. Chris walked to Sukhumvit Soi 7 to meet someone. When he arrived, he met a sportswear vendor he had previously patronized. The two greeted each other and chatted in a friendly manner. Chris praised the shirt he bought last time, saying it was very well made. He also bought another shirt from the seller, but the seller refused to accept the money this time, wanting to thank Chris for promoting his shop and attracting many foreigners to support his products. Chris then gave the vendor 3,000 baht and said that if the first three or four fans of his channel came to the shop, they could get a free shirt.
When he uploaded the clip on his YouTube channel, fans commented on it. One person said, "I totally agree! I have been to Thailand twice, the last time being in December 2023, and I especially miss Bangkok. I love everything about Thailand." Another comment read, "Yes, being in Thailand has so much to offer, such as the atmosphere. This place is awesome! I enjoyed my stay here. Bangkok is bigger than Tokyo and other big cities around the world."
One commenter said, "I agree 100%. We just got back from Thailand to Europe. When I was in Bangkok, I felt very alive." Another person shared, "I have been addicted to Thailand since 1989. I have traveled to many countries, but Thailand is the best. I go there three times a year."
Someone else commented, "My first visit to Thailand was in August 2017. I went to Bangkok and Patong Beach. It was the best trip I've ever had, and I want to go back again." Another person said, "I'm glad you came to Thailand again! I just returned from a vacation there last week and still miss everything you mentioned and more."
One commenter noted, "I don't usually show off reviews on travel videos, but I can't recommend Thailand enough. I've been to many places like Mexico, Jamaica, Portugal, and Türkiye, and I must say Thailand is the best place to relax. I spent two weeks in Thailand and feel like I must book another trip as soon as possible. The place is beautiful, and the people are so friendly and sincere that it's unbelievable. The food is delicious too."
Another comment read, "I agree with you. The word 'sabai' is used in Thailand because it was the first country where I lived outside the United States. I love Thailand so much; the food there is very delicious and the prices are not expensive."
One person said, "I agree 100% about traveling back to Thailand. I used to think it was just a one-time trip, but I love the country so much that I had to book a plane ticket there not long after returning. I have been living and working in Thailand for five years, and now I am back in my home country with my Thai wife, but we miss Thailand every day."
Another commenter mentioned, "I just went to Bangkok last month and will be going back again next year. I can't wait to return; I'm addicted to Thailand!"
Finally, someone said, "Yes, Thailand is a place I will always go back to." Another person replied, "I love it too!"
In conclusion, many foreigners have shared their thoughts about Thailand, and most of them echo the same sentiment as Chris. When they come to Thailand, they feel compelled to return. Some even plan to live there during their retirement. That's all for now. See you in the next clip. Goodbye!
