This software business idea can easily make $200,000 a month, and it's something that I wish existed because we do this for one of the businesses that I own all the time. We build landing pages out for our clients, and it's a super big pain to initially build the first template that we use for the client that will then use as landing pages that we run ads to.
Why this is a big pain is because the designer has to go in and basically build out the page so that it matches the brand aesthetic of the brand that we're running ads for. In this video, I'm going to talk through the idea. I'm going to share all the growth strategies I would use, and the idea is a landing page AI.
I've seen a bunch of these out there before, but all of them are text to landing page, where you basically describe the landing page that you want. But this doesn't actually make the thing that you're looking for. Instead, what I'm going to propose today is a landing page AI where you upload a screenshot of the homepage of the company, and then the AI extracts the brand styles from that homepage.
Think the text, think the fonts, the colors, the logo, etc. Then it builds out a template that you can just immediately dive into as a marketer. So to begin, let's start with why this is a good idea for somebody to build.
Right here, what I'm showing is a graph for landing page AI. This shows the search volume that's happening over time and the growth that's occurring here. Obviously, people are starting to want this. When we just look at landing page as an example, it's a massive keyword with a ton of search volume that happens monthly.
So naturally, people are looking for the solution. But again, all of these AI solutions that currently exist, they don't actually solve the core problem, especially from a marketing perspective, of why people actually use these landing page builders.
Let me differentiate: I'm not talking about a website builder, something like Webflow or something like Framer. I'm not talking about building a whole site. What you're actually doing is building just a single landing page that you're going to use to send traffic to and optimize your conversion funnel for the ads that you're running.
An example of a company that's in this category, a traditional company, would be Unbounce. They're basically a drag-and-drop editor for you to build out these landing pages. These landing pages traditionally live on a subdomain, so it would be something like lp.example.com, and then it would forward to whatever that page is that you're sending to.
Why you would do this is because it's a quick and effective way for marketers to optimize the funnel without changing the homepage of the site or changing any other components of the core site just for the single thing that they're bidding on. For example, Google Ads: people would bid on a keyword A, and then they would send them to a landing page where the target keyword is listed within that H1.
Now, a lot of the time, I'm bidding on thousands of keywords, and there's no way that I'm going to go and build a landing page on the core marketing site for each of those. Instead, what people do and why they use a landing page builder is so they can delegate this to the marketing team without having to talk to their designer or to their engineers to deploy this.
So let's talk about the pain now: why these products suck. First off, the design that ends up coming out of them is pretty terrible. It's traditionally always a little bit off-brand, and they're just old. It's a clunky space that's old, and there's an opportunity for disruption.
So again, I think the flow, the angle here is that you would take it where you could go to a website, do a full-screen image capture of what that whole site looks like, and then upload that into the landing page builder. It's going to pull out those design elements and automatically build out those components.
The pricing for this is super straightforward; you just do it off of the amount of sessions that end up going to these pages. But sometimes, as an example with companies I own, we'll send hundreds of thousands of traffic to these individual pages. So you can start to make really great high-tier pricing based off of this.
Just taking a look at Unbounce as an example, they're based here, starting at $99 a month. All right, so that's the idea of why you should build this, the opportunity that exists for this. Let's jump in a little bit deeper into the growth marketing opportunities to actually grow this software.
One of the first things that jumped out at me is I would go after keywords that would take all of these traditional landing pages and do versus. So Unbounce versus ClickFunnels, Leadpages versus Unbounce, etc. That would be the SEO strategy that I would implement because if they're searching for this, they're searching for a landing page builder.
Also, what you can go bid on is any keyword related to landing page AI. Here are some examples of what those would look like: landing page AI, AI landing page generator, landing page AI generator, etc. The CPC on these is pretty cheap right now; it's actually a great CPC.
Typically, with optimization of this, you can probably get these down to around 15 cents based off of experience. So that's your SEO strategy and then also your Google Ads strategy. Those are the two different angles that you could go at this from.
What's great is the product that you're using, the traffic that you're sending from Google Ads, you can just send them to the pages that you built. Then on the blog post side, what you can go and do to actually build these blog posts out is just write AI content that's doing this versus.
We find that is really incredible at writing this type of content. If you're like, "I have no idea where to start with SEO," you can hire my company, habitseo.com. And if it's the same for Google Ads, you have no idea how to run paid ads, you can hire my company, ghostrideads.com.
All right, so you've got these two top-of-funnel strategies. Let's now talk about the other technical things that you could do on the marketing side that can help you build this funnel. This type of tool is going to be perfect for agencies.
So I would go to something like clutch.co, and I would look up marketing agencies, and probably something more specific like Google Ads agency. Look, there's 177,000 companies that are in here. What I would go do is scrape each of their websites, and then I would go to something like Apollo and extract all the emails of all the individuals that work at those companies.
I would validate those emails with something like Zero Bounce, and then I would take those valid emails. I would start doing cold email marketing with software like MailerLite that would host the inboxes and then send through something like Instantly AI or SmartLead AI.
So that's your whole cold email strategy: offer to build a landing page for free. Just tell them to send back a screenshot of a brand that they're working with. I don't know if cold email works, but you have to try all these channels to see what's going to be effective.
So you're doing cold email. The other angle that I would approach this from is also YouTube, reaching out to creators that do videos talking about Google Ads. That's going to be the best way for you to do this.
As you can see, a lot of these people that are posting these types of videos are agencies, so that validates this whole idea of going after agencies from Clutch. The strategy here is basically to go and also reach out to all of these influencers.
You can literally find their email addresses by going to their about page. You can hire somebody off of Fiverr to go and scrape these at scale for incredibly cheap. Then again, set up a cold email strategy that is reaching out to them, asking for the pricing for a three-video set.
You're going to pay them on a per-video basis and then also give them an affiliate commission. This is what I found to be the most effective to get buy-in from that creator.
The final thing that I'm going to do is set up an email nurture campaign. So when the user signs up, you're going to immediately send them an email after they sign up, welcoming them to the platform. An hour later, you're going to send them the high-level tutorials, and then you're going to do a drip email nurture that sends them educational content every couple of days for the next two weeks.
The other thing that you'll do is layer on an email newsletter to your entire audience that has signed up, which you send on a weekly basis with product updates or the videos of the influencers that you sponsored to build that social proof and trust.
By layering all these things together, that's how you can go and build this business to $200,000 a month. If you found this content valuable, go sub to my channel and also sub to my newsletter in the description below. I share business ideas and growth tactics on both of these.
