Hey everybody, we've been talking about this hostage release ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas that essentially keeps Hamas in power.
Check out this news item from Israeli cable TV Channel 14. In recent weeks, Israeli officials have expressed frustration with the pressure exerted on them by Steve Witkoff, President Trump's envoy on the hostage issue. A source familiar with the negotiations even told me that at one point it looked as if Witkoff was working for the Qataris.
And it appears that there may be something to this perception, and these are the details of this interesting story. In 2013, Witkoff, a real estate investor from New York, purchased the prestigious Park Lane Hotel in the city with Malaysian businessman Jho Low for $654 million.
However, this promising deal quickly became complicated when Witkoff and Low's original plan to turn the hotel into a luxury apartment tower did not materialize due to the flooding of the market in the area with such apartments. But it became much more serious later when Low was suspected of embezzling billions in funds from Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund.
As a result, in 2017, the US Department of Justice ordered Witkoff and his new partners to sell the property, some of which, as mentioned, was purchased with stolen money. Although, it is important to emphasize, Witkoff himself was not accused of theft or any crime.
Witkoff demanded a billion dollars for the hotel but could not find a buyer who agreed to pay the asking price. In light of this, in 2019, he and his partners were forced to take out a huge loan of $615 million to continue financing the problematic property.
Finally, in August 2023, the one who came to Witkoff's aid was the Qatari government's Sovereign Wealth Fund, which purchased the hotel from him and his partner for $623 million.
Did this sequence of events and the warm ties that developed between Witkoff and Qatar influence the way the ceasefire negotiation was conducted? It is impossible to know for sure, but it is certainly worthy of raising the question.
It's pretty clear what's going on here. This guy, Steve Witkoff, this real estate magnate from New York City, an old friend of Donald Trump's, falls on hard times. He's got this asset that he can't get rid of. He's got to get bailed out financially.
And in comes the Qatari sovereign wealth fund and bails him out in 2023. This is Donald Trump ramping up his campaign. The Qataris realize that they need to get access to Donald Trump, and they purchase Steve Witkoff and they get themselves into Trump's inner circle.
And lo and behold, it pays big time dividends when this guy Witkoff gets named special envoy to the Middle East, probably because he has good ties with the Qataris and knows the Middle East a little bit.
And he's a buddy of Trump's. And now he comes in as the bag man to twist Israel's arm and agree to a ceasefire deal that was crafted by the Biden administration and was designed to keep Hamas in power.
Donald Trump's administration is compromised by this guy. He is a Qatari asset.
Now let's talk about who the Qataris are. Qatar funds Hamas. They've always been one of the main funders of Hamas. They also housed the Hamas leadership until only a few months ago.
Qatar funds all the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel demonstrations and anti-America demonstrations that are going on on campuses across America. They also fund and harbor leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. They've always been major funders of the Muslim Brotherhood.
There was a period of time where they claimed they weren't funding them anymore, but it turns out that they were. The Muslim Brotherhood, let's remember, that's the parent organization that spawned ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and of course Hamas.
Now check out what Witkoff said about Hamas and Qatar in an interview on Fox that aired yesterday. And then we'll talk about that.
I wanted to ask you about Hamas. Apparently, they told the New York Times, we are prepared for a dialogue with America and achieving understandings on everything. How do you see that?
Well, I think it's good if it's accurate. How many countries do you think could be on board? I think you could get everybody on board in that region. I really do. I think there's a new sense of leadership over there.
Oh my gosh. I mean, Qatar, look at what, you know, Qatar was enormously helpful in this. Sheikh Mohammed. He did plenty of, you know, his communication skills with Hamas were indispensable here, so.
Steve Witkoff says that it's a good thing that Hamas wants to have dialogue with the United States and that that's a good thing and they'll get on board.
And later on in the interview, he started talking about how this is gonna lead to prosperity and it'll bring investors into the region.
Does Witkoff not realize that Hamas is a terrorist organization that is wholly committed not only to the destruction of the state of Israel, but according to Hamas's founding charter, calls for the death of all Jews in the world?
What's more, Witkoff seems to be out of line with other people in senior foreign policy positions in the Trump administration. National security advisor Mike Walts has said explicitly that Hamas cannot remain in power, that that's unacceptable to the United States.
Incoming Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said during his confirmation hearing also agrees with that, that Hamas cannot remain in power, that Israel should destroy Hamas completely.
That's also the position of Marco Rubio, the incoming Secretary of State. And Trump has expressed that himself, that Hamas cannot remain in power.
And here's Witkoff saying that it would be a nice thing if Hamas would get on board the peace train and engage in dialogue with the United States government.
And then later on in the interview, in that second clip we showed you, he starts praising Qatar as this new leadership and how instrumental they were, and of course they were instrumental in the deal.
The entire point of this ceasefire hostage release deal is to keep Hamas in power.
And sure enough, what do we see the Qataris doing ever since the deal was signed? They are surging supplies directly into the hands of Hamas, and humanitarian aid isn't just food and medicines.
Qatar is letting the fuel flow. They are sending in millions of gallons of fuel into Hamas's hands. This fuel will be used to rebuild their military infrastructure.
It will re-entrench them as the power in the Gaza Strip. So we see what Qatar did here. Qatar, a couple of years ago, purchases a friend of Donald Trump's and turns him into their agent.
The Israelis really got the sense that Witkoff was representing the interests of Qatar, the interests of Hamas in these negotiations.
And the Qataris got exactly what they wanted. They're now resupplying Hamas with millions of gallons of fuel, fuel that will be used to rebuild their war machine.
And all the humanitarian aid that the Qataris are forcing into the Gaza Strip is now going to go right into the hands of Hamas, re-entrench them and strengthen them as both a military and governing body in the Gaza Strip.
All because they managed to purchase this friend of Donald Trump's who has allowed the Qataris, the global funders of terrorism, the funders of Hamas, the ones who built Hamas, to take control of Donald Trump's foreign policy.
Getting the Trump administration to sign a deal that was put together by the Biden administration, all designed to keep Hamas in power.
This bottom line, everyone, Steve Witkoff is a Qatari asset, bought and paid for, who has infiltrated the Trump administration and is steering Trump's foreign policy in the Middle East in a disastrous direction, which keeps the jihadist terrorist organization Hamas in power.
Steve Witkoff is a problem for Israel and a problem for America.
