This is a 2006 International School bus that me and my family turned into a home. And today we're going to tour it backwards. So, we're going to start in the back.
As you'll notice, we added on a three-foot deck. You'll also notice our toe bar because we tow our truck behind as we travel. We have a ladder up here that takes you to our rooftop deck and also 2,000 watts of solar. And the most requested part of our bus that we never tour is the garage.
Garage space starts out with all of our solar components. We have 800 amp hours of lithium battery. And then we have our solar charge controllers, our inverter, all of those things. We have our tools, which are pretty well organized. Fishing poles, fishing gear, fishing box, and then we also have just all the knick-knacks that we need. On this side, we have our full toolbox so we can build and remodel things on the go. We have storage underneath the bed, and then open space that leads into our bedroom.
All right, as we continue backwards through our bus, you'll get out of the garage into our bedroom. We have a queen-size bed. We have a mini split right above us that keeps us cool while we're sleeping. And then we have a 3ft wide skylight so we can see the stars at night. We also have storage compartments above our head, storage compartments behind our pillow. Last but not least, in our room, we have a door that shuts in.
As you leave our bedroom, you'll see that we have a shower on this side. You can peek in. You can see we have a Nebia shower head that's adjustable tiled wall. Opposite side, we have our bathroom that has a separate toilet, little sink, vanity area that fits all of our needs. Most people don't know that the bench inside our shower is also a hidden laundry drawer. And then the other side, we have a door that doubles as our bathroom door, but also covers mine and Megan's closet and a washer and dryer combo.
Kids bunk area. This top one is for a three-year-old boy. This folds up, keeps it safe while he's sleeping. And then this bottom one is for a 8-month-old little girl. This one slides up and keeps her safe while she's sleeping. Both of them have toy storage underneath. They each have two different drawers here. And then one of the coolest things about our bus is they each have a pull out closet. So, one here, another one down here. And then my wife's secret is we have a full-size pull out mirror.
Across from our kids bunk area starts our kitchen. So we have pull out Revit shelves here. We do have an apartment size 120 volt fridge. We have a microwave stored in here. Up top we have extra storage that stores a crock pot and all the other things we need. This is our broom closet that also stores our bar stools for our pop-up tables. And then you'll notice that our kitchen, we did butcher box countertops. We did a farmhouse kitchen sink. This cool sprayer that my wife picked out. And we always have to have coffee maker.
As we finish our backwards tour, this is our living room. Both of our couches pull out to make a queen-size guest bed. Underneath the couches, we have storage on both sides. We also have a diesel heater under this one. And then as you walk up here, we have more storage here that stores computers and knick-knacks and cords. We have another mini split up front. And we have a TV up top window in our bus. We have custommade insulated curtains that roll down.
