Okay. So, maybe if you're new to pure water window cleaning, I think it's really important to understand the theory behind what we're doing, what's going on here.
Now, the water is obviously filtered so that all the impurities uh are taken out. The parts per million reading, if you were to use a TDS, should be zero or close to zero. What this also means is that the water will be almost um like a magnet to the dirt. So the water will pick up the dirt that's on the window and when it dries it will dry off without leaving any kind of residue left behind.
Now of course just because the window's wet doesn't mean that the window will be effectively cleaned. So it's really important to use the brush to agitate the dirt that's on there. And then as you brush or scrub the window, the pure water will be washing away any dirt that's there. So as you've washed away the dirt, what you'll be left with is the pure water left on the window, which will dry off, leaving spotless, sparkling results.
So it's really important for a window like this. I think it's also important to take care of the frame as well. So first of all, I'll use plenty of water to go around the frame of the window. like so. Making sure the worst of the dirt is washed away. Then we'll concentrate on the glass.
Now, what's really important is to get into the corners across the top of the window there. And then in a V motion, we'll continue to scrub down the window. In that action, you it's almost as if you're dragging the dirt down the window as we work down the window.
Now, once we get to the bottom of the window, what's all important and not to be underestimated is the rinse. So, we want to rinse away any dirty residue, any dirty particles that might be left behind. Washing right from the top of the frame, getting a good flow of water, a good stream of water, sheeting down the window, just to make sure we wash all that away. And then finally, I I'll also give the the sill a good scrub and wash away any sitting water so there's no sitting water left behind. So it won't take too long for the remaining water to dry off, leaving a nice spotless shine.
Now, what can happen is if this process is rushed or any of those steps are not done properly, if there's any dirty water left on the window, that can dry, leaving spots on the window. If the water isn't pure enough, that can also leave spots on the window. So, if a window cleaner's come around and they've rushed it, they haven't done any of those things thoroughly enough or the water's not pure enough, then the results may be less than perfect.
Very often, I think this is a fantastic way to clean the window. In fact, in many cases on a UPVC window like this, I think the results are are even better than taking care of it the traditional way by hand. I love the way that it washes the whole window, including the frame. Really gets into the corners and really washes it out really well. So, they really are fantastic results.
