Your Apple Watch is littered with a lot of amazing automated features. In this video, I'm going to go ahead and share with you some of my top 10 favorite ones and how you can enable any of these in case you're experiencing like troubleshoot problems. So, all that more in today's video, and yes, timestamps of all the subjects we'll be covering in today's video will be in the description down below for your pleasure.

Let's quickly talk about the new swipe to switch to different watch faces. By default, this ability to just simply seamlessly just slide your finger down here to switch between watch faces is a feature that used to be enabled by default, but then later down the line, Apple decided to remove it because a lot of parents were complaining that their toddler were just switching back and forth between different watch faces as you see right here. And it's pretty understandable. If you like to reenable this feature, simply just go into your Apple Watch settings. In the settings tab, go down into clock and the clock tab. Just make sure you have swipe to switch watch face. If you have this enabled and you like to disable it, you can always disable it from here. So, if you do have toddlers that you're holding and they swipe between the watch faces, they're not going to be able to do that for you.

And for those wondering why I have this watch face animation when I go to the grid view, if you've been keeping up with this channel, this is part of new watch OS 27 features. But these same settings and features I'm covering in today's video will be exactly the same for other operating system even for those are still on watch OS 26.

So one question I always get asked a lot is the focus mode. I don't know why, but a lot of people don't know about this, but when you select the focus mode, one of which is Apple intelligence, this one, reduce interruptions. And the way this focus mode works is when you enable it, not only do you get a cool icon, but when you see this icon, it basically just states that it's using Apple intelligence will only show you notifications if it's an emergency. I like using this a lot more for work than the work focus mode because sometimes I want to be alerted if my alarm is goes off or there's motion detected in my backyard. If it's in a priority style notification, your Apple Watch will still still send you that notification. But if it's like a regular generic message like, "Hey, how you doing? What's up?" You're not going to be disturbed. So that's one of the cool things about that do not disturb with Apple intelligent feature.

And while we're still here, another thing I like to go ahead and cover is the capability to enable your air tags to be a part of your control center cuz we all should be familiar with by going all the way down to the very bottom. You could tap edit and then you could just add delete them, customize your air tags, I mean your icons like so. But one of the new cool tools is when you hit plus and you go all the way down and skip all these generic boring ones we are familiar with. If you go and look for your find my you could select air tag and from here you can add like your wallet as an example. So now when you tap done and you hit the air tag pin immediately will launch the find my app. But then you could just seamlessly just move around try to look locate your wallet like this one right here that I have an air tag built into it right here. and super convenient. And you also have the ability to play sound so you can help locate it faster. That's a nice little tool that a lot of people always overlook.

Now, if you have a modern day Apple Watch, you know that by long holding the power button, you have backtrack compass capability. I love using this especially when you go off the grid where there's no cellular connection. So, you can easily backtrack to your campground or where you started a hike or back to your car. as you notice right there. I'll talk more about that in a little bit. But I have noticed some people have been saying their backtrack doesn't work and that's probably because you have some privacy features disabled. So if you like to have this backtracking capability work on your device, you will be required to take out your iPhone. So let me go ahead and swap this as you will need to be going to your iPhone settings. In the settings quickly go into privacy and security. So, right in here. And from here, select location services and scroll all the way down till you find compass. It'll be this black one right here. Click on this. Make sure you have it enabled. Check mark where it says while using the app. And precise location is also enabled. After you do that, if you like to check on all the logs, see how your watch is tracking you, go back in your iPhone settings and type in system services. It should be this one right here. Click on it. And from here, go all the way down to the very bottom and make sure this uh location and routing setting right here will require Face ID, but make sure that's enabled. And down here, I may have it blurred for you, but you'll see all your records on the locations that your Apple Watch and your iPhone have been keeping track on you, and it's storing all this information only on your Apple devices, not available on the cloud. But if you like to clear them, go down. You'll see a clear history option right there. But by leaving this enabled and going back to your Apple Watch, you will now be able to enabled backtracking support and no longer get that little error message if you have been receiving that.

Now, real quick folks, if you've been enjoying this video so far, like to support this channel, if you can kindly hit that like button and like, that really does help out the channel as that allows channel to be powered by you guys and viewers, which is why you don't see brand integrations in my videos. taking like a minute or two off your time for like a robot vacuum, a VPN, something you really don't need. Thanks to you guys, but just hitting the like button like allows this channel to be powered by you, not brand. So, thank you so much for those that took the time on doing that. Let's carry on.

Now, a cool feature that every Apple Watch has is the smart stack. And it'll quickly adjust based off your like habits and stuff like that. Like around this time, I typically do cardio, which is why it's hinted me to do the elliptical. But on top over here, you also have other useful tools. But a cool automated feature that this thing has is let's say for example you're in a Uber or you're at a mall or a restaurant and there's a certain song that's playing. Well, if I take out this non-paired phone and I begin playing music and you like to know what song is playing, if you bring up the control Smart Stack, it's able to quickly identify the song. You can tap right here and it'll begin immediately trying to identify the song and saves that song to your Shazam bookmark. So, you can add this to your Apple Music later on. And here it is. Tells us the title, the artist, and we could listen to it on Apple Music and then we could decide on adding it to our playlist. That's a cool little automated feature that the Apple Watch now has. You don't have to launch the Shazam app separately anymore. And if it's not working for you, you may need to enable it because it usually is disabled by default. Go into your Apple Watch settings to have access to this and scroll all the way down to privacy and security right in here. And then from here, look for microphone. There it is. Microphone. And then on the bottom, you'll see music detection. Make sure it's enabled. And now your smart stack should automatically identify songs as soon as it hears like a music playing.

Now, another powerful tool that the Apple Watch has that a lot of people always overlooked is the ability to change your Apple Watch ringtone. Everybody has that generic standard ringtone. Very few people know that you can actually change that. If you go back into your Apple Watch settings from the main page, scroll down until you s find uh sound and haptics. Right in here, sound and haptics. From here, scroll down until you find ringtone. in the ringtone. These are the selection of different ringtones you can select from. So you don't have to suffer with the default one that you are all familiar with. Select something different and there's a variety of different ones to choose from. Unfortunately, we still don't have the ability to import our own, but nonetheless, some customization is here and it's available. You can also do the same thing with text tones as well.

Now, if you're getting ready for some trip, maybe you're going hiking and you don't want to carry your phone with you, but you still like to have offline map imaging capability, you could easily offload your maps on the Apple Watch. And there's a new tool that got added where you could override it to install it immediately right there, right then and there before you lose reception. For this, you will need to go on your iPhone and launch the Map app and then just select on your profile. When you select your profile picture, you have a offline map section right here. Select this and it'll bring up this ability to quickly add offline maps. From here, you could select your current location or search up a destination. So, if I select Las Vegas as an example, this giant squ will pop up and I could adjust the size if I want to make it bigger or move it around a little bit. And in real time, it'll also tell you how much space it will take up. Surprisingly, it's very storage efficient. And then just select download. Let it download. It's going to download on your main device first. So while it's doing that, make sure you have sync with Apple Watch enabled. And now once it's done downloading, see how it says pending because by default it will immediately download on your Apple Watch as soon as it's on its charger. But if you select on it, you can hit download now and just override it. So it force the download to the Apple Watch right then and there. So you don't have to wait until nighttime until you go to sleep to install it. And that's how you can have offline maps all the time available on the Apple Watch.

Now, if you are on watch OS 27, a unique feature that it now has is the ability to keep track of your vehicle. Whenever you disconnect from CarPlay, it will automatically mark your car's last known location. And it will walk you towards the correct path to locate your car as you see right there. And it'll tell you if you're getting further away or closer. And the distance is pretty accurate. I used it a couple times. It's pretty ill helpful, especially when you park at like an amusement park and the parking lot is just way packed than you were originally expecting when you came back.

Now, the Apple Watch has a unique tool and that is the capability to use your watch as a viewfinder. You see, if you launch the viewfinder app on your Apple Watch by launching the camera app, if you go on your phone, you'll notice that immediately basically launch your camera and then you could treat the screen as a viewfinder. Now, a cool thing about this, if you're not that far away, if you're within the same household, you could actually use this as a baby monitor. So, you can set this on the crib as a temporary monitor and just monitor your kid. You could immediately tell when your kid is awake or having a hard time falling asleep. It's a cool little epic tool right there.

Other than that, there you guys have it. Those are a handful of amazing tips and tricks and some cool automated features that the Apple Watch has. Make sure to stick around for part two because I do plan on giving you guys a new update for that version video as well. There's a lot more cool stuff you can do on the Apple Watch. I'm experimenting. So, make sure you are sticking around for that. In the meantime, if you like to watch more, maybe you like to see the cool features that got integrated for the next version of the operating system for watch OS 27. I cover that in greater detail in this video over there. Definitely do check out that video over there so you can see if your device is supported and what features are you looking forward to. Anyways, thank you so much for watching.
