Praise God. Hallelujah. Glory to God forever more. Amen. Amen.
Now, before we do anything else tonight, before we open the word, before we expose the lies of the enemy, let's reverence the one who gave us the word. Father, we thank you. We thank you for your precious, holy, written word. We thank you that the entrance of your word giveth light. Psalm 119 to 130. We thank you that it giveth understanding unto the simple. We thank you that this word is life to us and health medicine to all our flesh. Proverbs 4:202. Oh father, we thank you for the privilege that we have to gather around the word tonight. Not man's word, not man's idea, but the incorruptible seed of the word of God which liveth and abideth forever. 1 Peter 1:23. Thank you, Father, that heaven and earth shall pass away, but thy word shall never pass away. Matthew 24:35. And so tonight, Lord, we incline our ear unto your sayings. We keep them before our eyes. We hide them in the midst of our heart. For they are life to those that find them and medicine to all their flesh. Glory to God. Glory to God.
Now, Father, thank you for the great and mighty one, the Holy Spirit, whom you have sent to indwell us, to be our teacher, our guide, our comforter, our helper. We lean on him tonight. We trust him tonight. We depend on him tonight to give us utterance. As Peter said in 1 Peter 4:11, "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God." So, we trust the Holy Spirit to put God's own word in our mouths so that we may speak as the oracles of God tonight. And Father, we'll give you all the praise. We'll give you all the honor. We'll give you all the glory for every word spoken, for every truth revealed, for every life changed. For it is not man's might, nor man's power, but it is by the spirit of the Lord. Zechariah 4:6. And so tonight, we boldly say, "Thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. Thanks be unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15. Oh, such a glory to God. Hallelujah. Let's lift our voice and thank him. Praise the Lord. Thank him for his word. Thank him for his spirit. Thank him for victory. Thank him for Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And all the people said, "Amen." Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah.
Now, if you brought your Bible tonight, and I trust you did, let's open three openings of scripture. We'll take a witness from the Old Testament. We'll take a witness from the words of the Lord Jesus Christ himself. And we'll take a witness from the writings of the Apostle Paul. First the 91st Psalm verse 13. Let's read it together. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and add the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Now turn with me to the Gospel of Luke 10 verse 19. Read letters in your Bible. Jesus himself speaking. Jesus said, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." And then finally turn to Colossians the 2 chapter the 15th verse. The apostle Paul by the spirit of God wrote these words concerning Christ in his death burial and resurrection and having spal principalities and powers. He made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it.
Now let's put these three together. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. Amen. Psalm 91 says thou shalt tread. That's you. That's the believer. Luke 10:19 says, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread." That's you. That's the church. Colossians 2:15 says, "He spoiled principalities and powers and made a show of them openly." That's Jesus victory. Three witnesses, Old Testament, Gospels, epistles, all pointing to one truth. Satan is defeated. Christ is the victor. And you and I, the church, have authority to walk in that victory every single day. Hallelujah. Can you see it? Psalm 91 says, "You shall tread." Luke 10 says, "You have power to tread." Colossians 2 says, "He already triumphed." Put those three together and it means this. Christ triumphed, gave you his authority, and now he expects you to walk it out. Tread, trample, and triumph in life. Glory to God. Say it with me out loud. Christ triumphed. He gave me authority. I tread. I trample. I triumph. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That's the word of God.
Now, child of God, it does us no good to read these three witnesses unless we understand what they mean. Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions." Now, let me stop right there. That word power in the Greek, oh, praise God, is not talking about dynamite power. It's not talking about explosive strength. No, the Greek word there is exusia, which means authority. Authority. Say it out loud. Authority. Say it again. Authority. Praise God. Now, let me ask you, does a police officer have more physical strength than the 18-wheeler coming down the highway at 60 m an hour? No, he doesn't need it. All he has to do is step out into the middle of that road, raise his hand, and every driver in that lane will slam on the brakes. Not because the man has strength, but because the man has authority. The devil knows he's been defeated, but he also knows if you don't exercise your authority, he can still run over you. That's why Jesus said, "Behold, I give unto you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing, nothing, nothing shall by any means hurt you." Say this after me. I have authority in Christ. I tread, I trample, I triumph. The devil is under my feet. Glory to God.
Now listen. Colossians 2:15 tells us that Jesus in his death, burial, and resurrection, spoiled principalities and powers. What does that mean? It means he disarmed them. It means he stripped them. It means he dethroned them. Another translation says he made a public spectacle of them. When Jesus rose from the dead, he didn't need to prove anything to himself. He had already been the son of God from eternity. No, what he did, he did for you. He spoiled principalities for you. He triumphed for you. He seated himself at the right hand of the father for you. And Ephesians 2:6 says, "He hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." So, let me tell you the foundational truth tonight. Christ won the victory. He gave you the authority and now it's your job to enforce his triumph right here on the earth. Amen. It's not a matter of getting the devil defeated. He already is. It's not a matter of begging God to do something he already has. The cross was enough. The resurrection was enough. The blood was enough. The name of Jesus is enough. Hallelujah. Glory to God. The devil is a liar and he knows it. But he'll whisper his lies into your ear until you rise up with the word of God and say, "No, you don't, Satan. It is written." That's why tonight I'm going to show you straight out of the word 12 lies the devil uses in 2025 to keep believers defeated. And for every lie we're going to shine the light of God's word until the darkness flees. Amen.
Now, somebody may ask, "Brother Hagen, if Jesus already spoke principalities and powers, if Jesus already triumphed, if Jesus already gave us authority, then why are so many of God's people living in defeat?" That's a good question. But the answer is simple. The answer is this. A defeated devil can still win when God's people believe his lies. John 8:44 says, "The devil is a liar and the father of it." That's his only weapon. He has no authority of his own. Jesus stripped him. He has no power of his own. Jesus broke it. All he can do is deceive, whisper, trick, and twist. He works through lies. He thrives on ignorance and he feeds on fear. That's why Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Notice he didn't say, "The sinner is destroyed for lack of knowledge." He said, "My people, born again children of God, spiritfilled believers, shouting, singing, tongue-talking believers." And yet many are being destroyed. Not because the devil is strong, but because they don't know the truth. Let me say it again. Satan is defeated. But if you don't know he's defeated, if you don't act like he's defeated, if you don't speak like he's defeated, he'll keep you in bondage just as though Christ never came. Think of it this way. A criminal may be sentenced and stripped of his rights. He may have no legal standing at all, but if you don't enforce the law, he'll still run wild. Satan is an outlaw. He is a trespasser. He has no right in your body. He has no right in your finances. He has no right in your home. He has no right in your mind. But unless you stand up in the name of Jesus and say, "No, you don't, Satan, it is written he'll hang around." You see, the devil gains ground through lies. That's why Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 2:1, "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices." When you know the truth, you slam the door shut on his devices. when you walk in the word, you leave him no entry point. So tonight, we are going to expose 12 of his lies. Lies he's using right now in 2025. Lies he whispers to the believer. Lies he plants in the church. Lies he uses to rob you of your victory. But thank God, for every lie, there is a truth. For every deception, there is a scripture. For every attack, there is a victory already won in Christ. Hallelujah. Say this after me. Satan is a liar. God's word is truth. The truth makes me free. John 8:32. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And now we are ready. Ready to unmask the enemy. Ready to tear down the deception. Ready to shine the light of God's word. Let's begin with lie number one.
The very first lie the devil whispers into the believer's ear is this. You're powerless against me. You can't stop me. you can't resist me. I'm too strong for you. But that is a lie. It is the opposite of what Jesus said. Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power, authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Now notice what he said. Over all the power of the enemy, not half, not some, not most, not nine ten, but all. Say it out loud. All the power of the enemy. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That means every scheme, every attack, every temptation, every lie, the believer has authority over it. James 4:7 says, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Now, the Greek there means run as in terror. So, who's running? Not you. Not the child of God, not the one in Christ. No, the devil is running. Running like a whipped dog with his tail between his legs. running in terror when you resist him with the word of God. But you see, as long as the believer listens to the lie, you're powerless. He will never resist. He will never rise up. He will never act on the authority he already has. And that's how the devil gains advantage. Let me tell you something tonight. The devil is not afraid of your tears. The devil is not afraid of your complaints. The devil is not afraid of your struggles. But the devil is afraid of the name of Jesus spoken in faith. He is afraid of the word of God declared boldly. He is afraid of a believer who knows his rights and acts on them. Say this out loud with me right now. I have authority in Christ Jesus. I tread. I trample. I triumph. The devil is under my feet. I resist him. And he flees from me in terror. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise God forever more. Psalm 91-13 says, "Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder, the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet." That's not talking about literal snakes or wild beasts. Is talking about demon forces, satanic powers, lying spirits. And the Bible says you tread upon them, you trample them, you walk on them, they are under your feet. That's why Paul wrote in Romans 16:20, "And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly." Glory to God. Did you notice? Under your feet, not above your head, not over your shoulders, not staring you in the face, but under your feet. Hallelujah. So don't ever let the devil lie to you and tell you you're powerless. No, you've been given authority in the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:10 says that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth. Say it again with me. Make the devil hear it tonight. I am not powerless. I have authority in the name of Jesus. Satan is under my feet. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Amen. And that's why the very first lie we expose tonight is broken forever. The devil is a liar. You are not powerless. You are powerful because you are in Christ and Christ is in you. Amen.
Here's another lie the devil loves to whisper into the ears of God's people. This sickness is from God. He sent it to teach you something. He put it on you for a reason. Maybe it's his will. But let me tell you something tonight that is not in the Bible. Not one time, not one verse, not one scripture can you find where Jesus made somebody sick to teach them. Not once. But time and again, page after page, gospel after gospel, we read that Jesus went about doing good and healing. Acts 10:38 says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him." Did you catch that? Healing all that were oppressed of the devil. The Bible does not call sickness the blessing of God. The Bible calls sickness oppression of the devil. Say it out loud with me. Sickness is not my teacher. Sickness is satanic oppression. Jesus is my healer. The word is my medicine. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "My son, attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes. Keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life unto those that find them. And health medicine to all their flesh." Do you see that? The word of God is medicine. Just like you'd take medicine in the natural, you got to take God's word in the spirit. Not once a month, not just when you're in trouble, not just when you feel like it, but daily, regularly, consistently. God's word will heal your body. God's word will renew your mind. God's word will strengthen your bones. God's word will restore your health. Psalm 107:20 says, "He sent his word and heal them and deliver them from their destructions." Who sent it? God did. What did he send? His word. What did he do? Healed them. What else did it do? Delivered them. Praise God forever more. Now, I can testify I lay on a deathbed as a teenage boy. Doctors gave me up to die of a deformed heart and incurable blood disease. But thank God when I saw Mark 11:23:24, and I acted on it, life came into me. I got up from that bed healed and whole. And I've been preaching healing ever since. Why? Because sickness is not from God. Healing is from God. Health is from God. Deliverances from God. Glory to God. Don't let the devil tell you otherwise. Don't let religion rob you. Don't let tradition bind you. Jesus himself said in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly." Who is the thief? Satan. What does he bring? stealing, killing, destroying. Who is the lifegiver? Jesus. What does he bring? Life more abundant. Say this out loud with me now. Sickness is not from God. Healing belongs to me. The word is my medicine. Jesus is my healer. Hallelujah. That's the truth that sets you free. And the second lie of the devil, this sickness is from God to teach you, is broken tonight by the power of the word of God.
Here's another lie the enemy whispers. Well, it runs in your family. Daddy had it. Mama had it. Grandma had it. Grandpa had it. That's why you've got it. And you'll never escape it because it's in your blood. But I've got good news for you tonight. You're not bound to your earthly bloodline. You've got a new bloodline. You've got a new inheritance. You've got a new father. Hallelujah. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. Did you hear that? New creature, not patched up, not improved, not better version, no brand new. Galatians 3:13 says, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree." That means whatever curse was in your natural line, whether sickness, whether poverty, whether bondage, Jesus already took it on himself. And verse 14 says that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. Say it out loud. The curse is broken. The blessing is mine. I have a new inheritance in Christ. Glory to God. You may say, "Well, cancer ran in my family." Well, stop the running tonight. You may say, "Diabetes ran in my family." Well, let it run no more. You may say divorce, addiction, depression, it all runs in the family. Well, let me tell you, when you got born again, you changed families. You moved out of Adam's house and into Christ house. You got a new father. You got a new name. You got a new covenant. You got a new bloodline. Hallelujah. Colossians 1:13 says, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son." You're not in that old family any longer. You've been translated into a brand new kingdom under a brand new covenant with brand new rights and privileges. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Don't let the devil keep you bound to your natural history. Don't let him tell you you'll always be what your daddy was or what your mama was. You are not who you used to be. You are not what you used to be. You are who God says you are. And God says you are a new creature in Christ Jesus. Say this confession with me right now. I am a new creature in Christ. The old things are passed away. The curse is broken in my life. The blessing of Abraham is mine. I have a new bloodline. The blood of Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That lie that you're trapped by your family line is broken forever. You're in a new line tonight. You're in Christ.
Here's uh one of the devil's favorite lies. Your prayers don't work. God doesn't hear you. You prayed last time and nothing happened. You prayed for months and nothing changed. Prayer is just empty words. That's a lie from the pit of hell. Amen. What did Jesus say? Mark 11:23-24. Let's read it again because this is the cornerstone of answered prayer. Jesus said,"For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Glory to God. Notice he didn't say when you pray, hope. He didn't say when you pray, cry. He didn't say when you pray, wait and see. He said when you pray, believe that you receive them and ye shall have them. The reason many Christians don't see results is because they don't understand this truth. You must believe you receive when you pray, not after it shows up, but right when you pray. Amen. You've got to believe it before you see it. You got to receive it before you touch it. Faith takes it. Now, say this with me. I believe I receive when I pray. Now the devil will whisper, but nothing happened. That's a lie. Jesus said it did. He said, "You believe you receive when you pray, and then you shall have it. You don't wait till you have it to believe it. You believe it to have it." That's Bible faith. That's mountain moving faith. That's the prayer that works every time. 1 John 5:14-15 says, and this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. Praise God. That's not maybe. That's not someday. That's confidence. That's assurance. That's certainty. Now, don't let the devil lie to you and tell you your prayers don't work. James 5:16 says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. And who is righteous?" 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." That's you. That's me. That's every born again child of God. The prayer of the righteous man, that's your prayer evadeth much. Glory to God. Say this confession boldly with me right now. My prayers work. When I pray, God hears me. When I pray, I believe I receive. When I pray, I shall have it. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my prayer avaleth much. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That lie is broken tonight. The devil says your prayers don't work. But the word says the prayer of the righteous avaleth much, and the word is final authority. Amen.
Here's a cruel lie the devil whispers, especially in these last days. It's too late for you. You've gone too far. You've waited too long. Your chance is gone. Your best days are behind you. It'll never happen now. But that is a lie. I said that is a lie. Amen. Joel 2:25, mark it in your Bible, underline it, circle it, confess it. God said, "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerorm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer, my great army, which I sent among you." Did you hear that? I will restore the years, not just days, not just months, not just things, but years. Glory to God. That means even if it looks like years have been wasted, even if the devil robbed you of time, God is a restorer. He makes up for lost years. He redeems the time. Ephesians 5:16 says, "Redeeming the time because the days are evil." Hallelujah. Now, think about Abraham. Romans 4:19:21 says, "And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb, he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able also to perform." Abraham was a hundred years old and Sarah 90. By every natural measure, it was too late. But God stepped in. And when God steps in, it's never too late. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Don't you see? The devil says it's too late for you. But God says, "I will restore the years." The devil says, "It's over." But God says, "Behold, I make all things new." The devil says, "Your season is finished." But Psalm 92:14 says, "They shall still bring forth fruit in old age. They shall be fat and flourishing." Amen. I don't care if you're 16 or 60, 25, or 85. If you've got breath, God's not through with you. If you're still here, then your race isn't finished. Hallelujah. Say this confession with me. It's not too late for me. God is restoring my years. My best days are not behind me. They're ahead of me. I still bring forth fruit in old age. What God promised, he is able to perform. Glory to God. Hallelujah. The lie of the devil is exposed. It is not too late. If you believe, you shall see the glory of God. John 11:40. Amen.
Here's a lie the devil loves to chain people with. You'll never be free. This habit's too strong. This bondage is too deep. You've tried before and failed. You'll always be this way. But I've got news for you tonight. That's a lie. That's not the word. That's not the voice of God. That's the hiss of the serpent. Amen. What did Jesus say? John 8:36. If the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Free indeed. Not halfway free. Not partly free. Not better than before. Free indeed. Glory to God. Romans 6:14 says, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Hallelujah. Did you hear that? Sin shall not have dominion. Addiction shall not have dominion. Fear shall not have dominion. Depression shall not have dominion. Poverty shall not have dominion. Why? Because you are under grace. And grace breaks chains. Now, let me use an analogy. Imagine a prisoner locked in a cell, heavy chains on his wrist. shackles on his feet, the door bolted shut. But then a higher power steps in, breaks the lock, removes the chain, swings the door wide open, the man is free. Yet if he doesn't get up, if he doesn't walk out, if he doesn't act on the freedom given, he'll stay in that cell as though he were never delivered. That's what happens to so many believers. Christ already opened the prison door. Christ already broke the chains. Christ already set you free. But you've got to get up. You've got to walk out. You've got to act on the word. Amen. Say it out loud with me. I am free in Christ. The chains are broken. The prison door is open. I walk out right now in Jesus name. Glory to God. Don't let the devil deceive you into thinking you're bound forever. Colossians 1:13 says, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son." Delivered means past tense, not going to, not someday, but already done. Amen. So when the devil whispers, "You'll never be free from this habit," you answer him with the word. If the son makes me free, I am free indeed. You resist him and he flees. You act on the word and you walk in freedom. Hallelujah. Now lift your hand and declare this confession with me. The son has made me free. I am free indeed. Sin shall not have dominion over me. The chains are broken. The door is open and I walk free in Jesus name. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That lie is shattered tonight. You are not bound. You are free.
One of the devil's crulest lies is this. You're alone. Nobody cares. Nobody understands. Nobody stands with you. You've got to fight this battle by yourself. But that is a lie. Amen. Hebrews 13:5 says, "For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Not sometimes, not only when you feel spiritual, not only when everything is going right. No, he said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." And the very next verse says, "So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." Glory to God. Notice he said it. So we boldly say it. That's confession. That's faith talking. First John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." Who is in the world? Satan. Who is in you? The greater one. Hallelujah. Think about that right now, this very moment. The greater one is living inside of you. Not a weaker one, not a lesser one, not a powerless one. The greater one. Greater than sickness, greater than fear, greater than depression, greater than demons, greater than the world. Hallelujah. Say this with me out loud. The greater one lives in me. Say it again. The greater one lives in me. Hallelujah. You see, the devil tries to isolate people. He wants to make you feel like you're the only one struggling, the only one fighting, the only one standing. But the word says otherwise. Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." And Romans 8:31 says, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Praise God, you're not alone. God is for you. Jesus is with you. The Holy Ghost is in you. The angels of God surround you. The body of Christ stands with you. Amen. Let's make our confession right now. I am not alone. The Lord is my helper. The greater one lives in me. If God be for me, who can be against me? I boldly say the Lord is with me always. Glory to God. Hallelujah. The lie is broken. You're not alone in this battle. You're never alone. Never. Never. Never. Amen.
Here's another poisonous whisper of the enemy. Your faith doesn't work. You've tried believing. You've tried confessing. You've tried standing and nothing happened. Faith works for others but not for you. But again, that's a lie. Amen. Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Faith always comes. Did you hear me? Faith always comes. Every time you hear the word of God, faith is being imparted. Faith is being built. Faith is rising. Hallelujah. Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith, it is impossible to please him. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. God is not a withholder. He is a rewarder. Faith pleases him and he rewards faith. That means when you believe him, he responds. When you trust him, he answers. Now notice the devil never says faith works too much. He always says faith doesn't work. Why? because he knows faith is the victory that overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4 says, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." Say it out loud. "Faith is my victory." Now, here's the problem. Too many believers confuse feelings with faith. They say, "I don't feel like it's working." But faith has nothing to do with feelings. Faith is not in your emotions. Faith is not in your senses. Faith is of the heart. Romans 10:10 says, "For with the heart man believeth under righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Faith is of the heart and out of the mouth." Amen. You may not feel it. You may not see it. You may not hear it. But if you believe it and confess it, it is working. Glory to God. Mark 11:23 says, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." So don't let the devil lie to you and tell you your faith doesn't work. Your faith does work because God's word works. God cannot lie. God cannot fail. Amen. Say this confession boldly with me right now. My faith works. Faith comes by hearing and I hear the word of God. Faith pleases God and he rewards my faith. Faith is my victory that overcomes the world. I walk by faith, not by sight. Glory to God. Hallelujah. The devil says your faith doesn't work. But the word says this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. And the word is final authority.
Here's one of the most dangerous lies the devil uses to keep believers bound. You don't have to forgive. After all, you were right. They were wrong. They hurt you. They should come to you first. You can just hold on to that grudge. It won't affect your walk with God. But that is a lie. A deadly lie. Jesus himself said in Mark 11:23-24 that faith moves mountains. But he didn't stop there. In verse 25, he said, "And when you stand praying, forgive. If you have ought against any, that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Notice the connection. Faith, prayer, forgiveness. They go together. You cannot separate them. Faith works by love and love forgives. Galatians 5:6 says, "For in Jesus Christ, neither circumcision avadeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith which workketh by love." Did you see it? Faith works by love. If you're not walking in love, your faith won't work. If you're holding unforgiveness, your prayers won't work. That's why the devil lies. He knows if he can keep you in unforgiveness, he can block your faith. He can shut down your prayers. He can keep you in defeat. But thank God, love has been shed abroad in your heart. Romans 5:5 says, "The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." That means you can forgive. You don't have to feel like it. You don't have to wait until they apologize. You forgive by faith. You forgive because the love of God is in you. Amen. Say it with me right now. I forgive by faith. I walk in love. My faith works because my love works. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Now, forgiveness doesn't mean what they did was right. Forgiveness doesn't mean you deny the hurt. Forgiveness means you release it to God. You let go of the offense. You stop carrying the poison. You choose love over bitterness. And when you do, your faith flows unhindered. Your prayers avail much. And the devil loses his grip. Amen. Let's make this confession together. I forgive anyone who has wronged me. I walk in love, not bitterness. I release every offense. My faith works because love is working in me. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost. Glory to God. That's it. The devil says you don't have to forgive, but the word says when you stand praying, forgive. And the word always wins. Hallelujah.
Another lie the devil whispers is this. Oh, your words don't matter. It doesn't make any difference what you say. Just talk any way you want. God knows your heart. You can joke about sickness. You can complain about poverty. You can talk defeat. It won't hurt a thing. But that, dear friends, is a lie, a destructive lie. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Did you hear that? Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Your words matter. Your words carry power. Your words are seeds that bear fruit, either for life or for death. Jesus said in Mark 11:23, "For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. Notice three times he mentioned saying and only once he mentioned believing. That means you're going to have to say three times as much as you believe. Amen. Now listen carefully. Your words locate you. Your words release faith or your words release fear. Your words open the door to angels or your words open the door to demons. Your words set the course of your life. James 3:6 says, "The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. It setth on fire the course of nature." That's why the devil wants to convince you your words don't matter. If he can get you to speak fear, speak sickness, speak defeat, he can bring it to pass. But when you speak God's word, when you confess the promises, when you declare victory, angels move, heaven agrees, and God's powers are released. Glory to God. Let me tell you a testimony. As a young man, bed-faced with a deformed heart, I saw Mark 11:23:24. I saw that I had to believe in my heart and say with my mouth, I lay in that bed paralyzed and I said, I believe I receive healing for my heart. I believe I receive healing for my body. And then I said, I will walk again and bless God. I acted on those words. I stood up trembling, but I stood. And from that day to this, I've been preaching the healing power of God. Why? because I dared to believe and say what the word said. Say this with me tonight. My words matter. I will have what I say. I speak life, not death. I speak healing, not sickness. I speak abundance, not lack. I speak victory, not defeat. Glory to God. Hallelujah. The lie is broken. Your words do matter. And when your words agree with God's word, you can't lose. Amen.
Here's one of the oldest lies in the book. The devil hisses. You can't resist me. I'm too powerful. I'm too cunning. I've been at this longer than you've been alive. I'm stronger than you. But that is a lie. A flatout lie. Amen. Colossians 2:15 says, "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Hallelujah. Jesus stripped the devil. Jesus spoiled him. Jesus dethroned him. Jesus triumphed over him. And he didn't do it for himself. He did it for you. Now listen. James 4:7 gives us the strategy. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Notice it doesn't say he might flee. It doesn't say he'll think about fleeing. It says he will flee. And the Greek says he will flee as in terror. Glory to God. That means when you stand on the word and resist him in the name of Jesus, the devil runs like a whipped dog with his tail between his legs. Amen. First John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children, have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." Who's in the world? The devil. Who's in you? The greater one. Who's greater? the one in you. Hallelujah. Say it out loud. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. The devil is not too strong for you because he's already been defeated by Jesus. Hebrews 2:14 says that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death. That is the devil. Jesus destroyed him, rendered him powerless, broke his back. Amen. Now, let me remind you of something. Jesus is the head. We are the body. Ephesians 1:22 says, "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body. If all things are under his feet, then all things are under your feet because you're part of the body. Even the lowest member of the body, the little toe, is still above the devil." Amen. Say this confession with me right now. The devil is not too strong for me. Jesus defeated him and his power is broken. I resist the devil and he flees from me. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Satan is under my feet in Jesus' name. Glory to God. Hallelujah. That lie shattered. The devil is not too strong for you. He is a defeated foe and you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Here's the last one we'll expose tonight. The devil says you will never walk in victory. You might get a blessing here and there, but you'll always be up and down, in and out, win a few, lose a few, you'll never live in consistent triumphs. But that's another lie. Glory to God. Romans 5:17 says, "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Did you hear that? Reign in life, not barely get by, not struggle through, not someday in heaven. Reign in life right here, right now by Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place." Notice, always causes us to triumph. Not sometime, not occasionally, not now and then, always. That means continual victory, continual triumph, continual overcoming. First John 5:4 says, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." Are you born of God? Then you are an overcomer. You don't have to try to be. You don't have to work up to it. If you're born of God, victory is in your spiritual DNA. Hallelujah. Say this after me. I am born of God. I am an overcomer. Victory is mine. Triumph is mine. I reign in life by Christ Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Don't let the devil convince you that defeat is your portion. Defeat is not your portion. Victory is your portion. Sickness is not your portion. Healing is your portion. Poverty is not your portion. Abundance is your portion. Depression is not your portion. Joy unspeakable. and full of glory is your portion. Hallelujah. The devil says you'll never walk in victory. But the word says, "Thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph." And the word is final authority. Amen. Let's make this bold confession together. I reign in life by Jesus Christ. I always triumph in Christ. I overcome the world by faith. Victory is mine all the time in Jesus name. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Amen.
Now, let's bring this all together. We've spent time unmasking the devil's 12 lies. We've seen from the word that he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44. But praise God. We've also seen that the word of God is truth. John 17:17. And the truth makes us free. John 8:32. And let me remind you quickly of what we've exposed tonight. The devil says, "You're powerless against me." But Jesus said, "I give you authority." Luke 10:19. The devil says, "This sickness is from God." But Acts 10:38 says, "Sickness is oppression of the devil and Jesus healed." The devil says it runs in your family. You'll never escape it. But 2 Corinthians 5:17 says you are a new creature. And Galatians 3:13 says you are redeemed from the curse. The devil says your prayers don't work. But Mark 11:24 says, "What things soever ye desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and ye shall have them." The devil says, "It's too late for you." But Joel 2:25 says, "I will restore the years." The devil says, "You'll never be free from this habit." But John 8:36 says, "Whom the Son makes free is free indeed." The devil says, "You're alone in this battle." But Hebrews 13:5 says, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." The devil says, "Your faith doesn't work." But 1 John 5:4 says, "This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith." The devil says, "Forgive." You don't have to. But Mark 11:25 says, "When you stand praying, forgive." The devil says, "Your words don't matter." But Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." The devil says, "I'm too strong for you." But Colossians 2:15 says, "Jesus stripped him." And James 4:7 says, "When you resist, he flees." The devil says, "You'll never walk in victory." But 2 Corinthians 2:14 says, "Thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ." Glory to God. Hallelujah. 12 lies, 12 truths, 12 chains, 12 keys. every one of them broken by the word of the living God. Amen.
So what do we do? We don't sit back and hope. We don't wait for God to do what he's already done. We take our stand. We resist the devil. We enforce our authority. We walk in the light of the word. And we boldly say what God says about us. Say it out loud with me with boldness. Satan is a liar and the word is truth. I know the truth and the truth makes me free. I am redeemed. I am healed. I am free. I am victorious. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. I reign in life by Christ Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Amen. The devil is a liar. God is true. And the victory is yours in Christ Jesus.
Now, thank God for what we've heard tonight. Thank God we've exposed the devil's lies and replaced them with the truth of God's word. But let me tell you, if you just shout about it tonight and then forget it tomorrow, the devil will try to creep back in. That's why we must learn how to walk in this every single day. Amen. Proverbs 4:2022 tells us exactly how. My son, attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes. Keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. So what do we do daily? Three things. Attend, incline, and keep. Attend to the word. That means give it your attention, not the news, not the circumstances, not the enemy's whispers. Incline your ear. That means tune your ear to what God says, not what fear says, not what tradition says. Keep it in your heart. Don't let the word slip. Meditate on it. Confess it. Guard it. That's your daily prescription. The word of God is medicine. So, take your medicine every day. Don't skip doses. Don't just take it when you feel sick. Take it every day, morning and night, until it gets down into your spirit, into your heart, and into your mouth. Then second, keep speaking the
word. Remember Proverbs 18:21, death and life are in the power of the tongue. Remember Mark 11:23, you shall have whatsoever you say. Don't talk defeat. Don't talk fear. Don't talk sickness. Talk the word. Talk victory. Talk healing. Talk abundance. Amen.
Third, act on the word. James 1:22 says, "Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." Don't just say it, act like it's true. If the word says you're healed, act healed. If the word says you're free, act free. If the word says you have authority, act like you do. Faith is acting on the word of God.
And fourth, resist the devil daily. Don't wait until he builds a fortress. Don't wait until the battle is raging. Resist him at the first thought, the first whisper, the first temptation. James 4:7 says, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." That means every day you take your stand. Every day you enforce the victory. Every day you remind the devil you're under my feet. Say this with me. I attend to the word daily. I speak the word boldly. I act on the word continually. I resist the devil instantly. That's how you walk in victory. Not once in a while, not only in church, not only when the preacher lays hands on you, but every single day of your life. Amen. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
Now, we've uncovered the devil's lies. We've replaced them with the truth. We've seen what the word says. But it's not enough just to hear it. You got to say it. Romans 10:10 says, "With the heart man believeth under righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made under salvation." Confession is how you release your faith. So right now, let's all say this together. Say it bold. Say it strong. Say it like you mean it. Say it like it's true because it is true. Repeat after me. Christ triumphed. He gave me his authority. I tread. I trample. I triumph. Say this. Satan is a liar. God's word is truth. The truth makes me free. Now say this, I am a new creature in Christ. The curse is broken in my life. The blessing of Abraham is mine. Say it again. My prayers work. My faith works. Faith is my victory that overcomes the world. Say this. I forgive by faith. I walk in love. My faith works because love is working in me. Say this. My words matter. I will have what I say. I speak life, not death. I speak victory, not defeat.
Now lift your hand and say it strong. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. I resist the devil and he flees from me in terror. Satan is under my feet. I reign in life by Christ Jesus. I always triumph in Christ. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Amen.
You just confessed yourself into victory. You just enforced the word with your mouth. You just agreed with God. And when you agree with God, the devil can't stop you. Now listen, friends, don't let this just be another sermon you heard and forgot. James 1:22 says, "But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. If all you do is hear and shout, but you don't practice it, you deceive yourself. The devil doesn't even have to deceive you. You'll do it for him. But if you'll act on the word, if you'll daily confess the word, if you'll resist the devil at the first whisper, if you'll walk in love and keep your words lined up with God's words, you'll live in victory every day of your life. Not once in a while, not just on Sunday, every day.
So, here's my call to you tonight. Feed on the word every day. Speak the word every day. Act on the word every day. Walk in love every day. Resist the devil every day. Do that and you'll tread. You'll trample. You'll triumph. Amen. Say this one more time with me. I tread. I trample. I triumph in Jesus name. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Amen.
Now, let's pray. Father, we thank you tonight for your holy word. We thank you that Jesus triumphed over Satan, stripped him, spalled him, and put him under our feet. Thank you that you gave us authority in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you that the truth makes us free. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who teaches us, guides us, and empowers us to walk it out daily. And Father, I pray for each person under the sound of my voice that this word would not depart from their heart, that it would not depart from their mouth, but that they would walk in it daily and live as doers of the word, not hearers only. May they see victory in every area, spirit, soul, and body. May they walk in the blessing of Abraham. May they reign in life by Christ Jesus. And we'll give you all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory for every victory, every healing, every deliverance, every breakthrough in Jesus mighty name. And everybody said, "Amen." Amen. Now, go out this week and walk in your authority. Don't believe the devil's lies. Believe God's truth. And remember, thanks be unto God who always causes you to triumph in Christ Jesus. Amen.
