Transcription

The Holy Ghost stepped in here this morning and and did something good. And we were talking last night and sometimes you sitting in the sitting in the church and preacher preaching, he's like, yeah, that's for so and so or that ain't for me, that's for so and so. And you just keep sitting there and you know preacher say something and you just keep throwing it off. Well, that ain't for me, that's for so and so. Well, this morning was for me. I don't know about you, but he was speaking right to me. Hallelujah. I'm excited to see what God's going to do today. Let's worship with brother Eric as he sings and let's have a good time in the Holy Ghost today. Praise the [Music] Lord.

Well, I'm coming up on the Rough Side of the Mountain and I'm going to hold to God's powerful hand. I'm uping Jesus' side of the mountain and I'll do it my best to make it in. Now this whole race will soon be over and there will be no more race for me to run. And when I stand before God's Throne, all my heartache will be gone. When I hear him say, my child will come home. Now I'm home up on the side of the mountain and I got to hold to God, his powerful hand, cuz I'm coming up on the Rough Side of the Mountain and I'm doing my best to make it. [Music] [Music] hand. Well, this old race this soul will soon be over and there will be no more race for us to run. Hey, when we stand before God's Throne, hey, well all our heartaches will be gone. We hear him say, my children, welcome home, welcome home. Cuz I'm coming [Applause] up on the Rough Side of the Mountain and I got a hold to God, his powerful hand. Well, I'm coming up, coming up Jesus on the Rough Side of the Mountain and I'm doing my best. I said I'm doing my best. Well, I'm doing my best to make it end. [Music] Hey, Hallelujah. You can make your way back to your seats.

There's not another musical instrument on this planet, I think, that makes me want to cut a rug like a harmonica does. Every time he gets to to getting that thing going, man, it makes me feel something. I uh I grew up listening to a harmonica. My granddad played in a bluegrass band and he would play a harmonica all the time and I just I love it. I don't know about y'all, but I love it. Hallelujah. I'm excited. You ever just get excited? Well, that's enthusiastic. I'm excited to see what God's doing in this house. He was talking about a brand new Revival today. I'm excited to see who's God, what God's going to do. I'm excited to see the people that God's going to bring in. I'm excited to see the businesses that are going to grow out of this revival. I'm excited to see what God's going to do. Hallelujah. And the best part is is I'm excited that I get to be a part of it. Amen. Hallelujah. Worship with them as they [Music] sing. [Music]

I spend my time running to all own places. I thought that I would be the last one that you'd ever want to see. I was so far gone, the kind they give up on, but you are not the kind of God to ever give up on me. Told your kindness let me [Music] home, all in my name, lifting my soul up out of that what hell lost in this. Look what you done, turn testify I'm not the same. Like you from the sky, oh Jesus change [Music] my. You wouldn't let go, you wouldn't leave me. He followed me through darkness and chased me down with Mercy. You would look back and you'd see beyond my past, cuz there is nothing I have ever done to make you love me. Let's embrace him calling my name, lifting my soul up out of that grave. I was hell lost and then found. Look what you've done, you turned it around, and I testify I'm not the same. Like lightning from the sky, oh Jesus change my life. Oh, he changed my life. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for setting me free. Thank you for taking these chains off of me. Thank you that I'm not who I used to be. Thank you for loving me. I thank you for setting me free. Thank you for taking these chains off of me. Thank you that I'm not who I used to be. Thank you for loving me. I thank you for setting me free. Thank you for taking these chains off of me. Thank you that I'm not who I used to be. I thank you for loving me. I thank you for setting me free. Thank you for taking these chains off of me. Thank you that I'm not who I used to be. The grace came calling my name, lifting my soul up out of that grave. I was hell lost, get tested, I'm found the same like night from the sky, oh Jesus change my, we change my, oh Jesus save my life. Can make your way back to your seats. Please remain standing.

You, I'm getting, I don't know how old you have to be before you can get to the age and say you're getting old enough to look back on your life, but and I'm uh nearly 30, which is I know young still, um but I can look back and and I can think about some of the things, some of the decisions, some of the places I've been, and I look back and thought, God, I I don't know how I would have got through it if it wasn't for you. I don't know how I would have made it if it wasn't for you. And then I think that there's probably I don't deserve to even be where I'm at today. I don't deserve to be where I'm at, who I am, because I've done some stupid things. I've done some dumb things. And we can all look back and if we just remember every now and then how far we've come, we're not the same people we used to be. We're so much better. God has done so much for us. Hallelujah. I'm so thankful for the opportunity that we've been given. Hallelujah. If I can get some help and give you an opportunity to be blessed this afternoon, pray God that you would take this offering, these ties and monies, and use them for the furtherance of your kingdom. I pray God that you would continue to bless this revival, bless the growth of growth of this church in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Come and give unto the [Music] Lord.

There's Honey in the Rock, water in the stone, manna on the ground, no matter where I go. I don't need to worry now that I know everything I need you've got. There's Honey in the [Applause] [Music] Rock. Pray for miracle, thirsty for The Living Well, only you can satisfy, sweetness at The Mercy Seat. Now I've tasted it's not hard to see, only you can satisfy. There's Honey in the Rock, there's Honey in the Rock. Come on, declare it. There's Honey in the Rock, there's Honey in the Rock. Freedom where the spirit is, bounty in the wilderness, you will always satisfy. There's honey in the around, water in the stone, then on the ground, no matter where I go. I don't need to worry now that I know everything I need you have is put in the Rock, purpose in your plan, Power in the Blood, healing in your hands. Started when you said it is done, everything you's enough. There's Freedom where the spirit is, bounty in the wilderness, you will always satisfy. There's Honey in the Rock, water in the stone, then I'm on the ground, no matter where I go. I don't need to worry now that I know everything I need you got. Honey in the Rock, purpose in your plan, Power in the Blood, healing in your hands, started going when you said it is done, everything you in done. I keep looking, I keep finding, I keep giving, you keep providing. I have all that I need, you are all that I need. I keep praying, you keep moving. I keep praising, you keep proving. I am all that I need, you are all that I need. I keep, you keep, I keep praying, you keep moving. I keep praising, you keep proving. I am all that I need, you are all that I need. I'm all that I need, you are all that I need. Sunny in the rock, water in the stone, manna on the ground, no matter where I go. I don't need to worry now that I know I know everything I need you got the rock, purpose in your plan, Power in the Blood, healing in your head, sh it blowing when you said it is us. Jesus, who you are, enough. There's Honey in the Rock, there's Honey in the [Music] Rock. There Honey in the Rock, there's honey in the around. W and oh how sweet, How Sweet It Is to trust in you Jesus. Oh how sweet, How Sweet It Is to trust in you Jesus. Oh how sweet, How Sweet It Is to trust in you Jesus. Oh how sweet, How Sweet It Is to trust in you Jesus. [Applause] [Music] Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Why don't we give the Lord a hand clap of [Music] Praise. Hallelujah. What's some what some powerful words, what a powerful song. Hallelujah. God bless you. You can be [Music] seated.

Brother Jason, don't run off. Uh, it's good to be in second service. Our adult Bible study class, glad you're here. Anybody glad to be in church on a Sunday evening? You know, Wednesday, Wednesday prayer meeting, whenever we would teach and pray and stuff, that used to be my favorite, but I believe the second service on Sunday is my favorite now. I I love it when we slow down and we teach and we talk and we comprehend things. It's important to our pastor that we slow down and teach a little bit and we're thankful for the opportunity to do that. Uh, brother uh brother Bo Deathridge was here a few weeks ago and he had mentioned a scripture that brother Dylan that just stuck out to me. I mean, it just grabbed a hold of me. Brother Jason and I come and told you about it after, but he had he had uh well, let me read it to you. I forgot where I put it, but it's right here. It was in [Music] uh Exodus 14. Exodus 14 and 3, it said, for Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, they are entangled in the land. And when he said that, entangled, it grabbed a hold of me and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. And then brother Jason got up here last Sunday, didn't we all enjoy that? And that was the word he used, entangled. And uh I got him staying up here just a second because he came, I passed by him in pre-service prayer Tuesday night and he grabbed a hold of me. He said, brother, I sat up Monday morning at 5:00 a.m., straight up in my bed, and he said, I forgot the best part of my my message. He said, I forgot the the best part of it. And I told him, I said, you know what, I'm teaching next Sunday, I want you to come [Music] finish. And he's going to teach, but I appreciate that opportunity, bro. I'm sorry. I sat up at 5:00 in the morning. I said the main thing I wanted to say, Dylan Craft, I got so excited about saying all the other stuff, I didn't say that. But while we are entangled with sin and we get entangled in the world, this is what I wanted to tell you and what I should have closed out with. I was just too distracted about what was going on. Once you taste this gift of the Holy [Music] Ghost, once God's spirit takes over your body and completely fills you with the Holy Ghost and the most unruly member of your body, this tongue, you're able to give it over to him and every fiber of your being is turned over to him. I believe you become entangled with Heaven. I believe you become entangled. Your name is written. All of a sudden everything changes and and now your name is written. And should there ever come a day when you look at the world and you walk back into it, I've got news for you, child of God, you'll never be able to escape what you felt and what God filled you with. And listen to me, don't ever stop stop praying for backsliders, because every time this church prays, every time this church prays and every time there's a stirring and a shifting and a moving in the spirit, you know what happens when the spirit of God starts to shake in this church, in the heart of a backslider, while they lay in their bed, while they're walking down the, I don't care where they are, they feel something moving, they feel something stirring. And where sin does entangle you and yes you will be pulled by it, so much greater is the power of the pull of the Holy Ghost and so much greater is the power of the draw of God. And when you pray for them, their spirit is shaken, their spirit is stirred within them, until finally, and we're seeing it happen right now, until finally they come through those back doors and they come home where they're supposed to be. Hallelujah. Don't ever give up praying for them. Once you've tasted and seen, you'll never be the same. Hallelujah. Thank you for the opportunity to say Hallelujah. Ain't that powerful? I want to be entangled with God's plan. I want to be entangled with God, not this world. My goodness, that's what I want to be entangled with. You can be seated.

And then sister Copel, Kathy Copelan got up here and and I know it when she said it, she talked about that that she called that uh her friend and said, don't ever call me again, I don't want to know, never speak to me again. And then she started going through that and uh you know what that girl called her and drove 650 miles and picked her up for church. She was entangled. She had gotten entangled with this thing. I'm telling you, you're part of something that's powerful. We're a part of something that's powerful. Hallelujah. I'm glad I'm a part of it. And I'm telling you, if you're not, you can get a part part of it. You can be a part of it today. You can give it a hold of something a lot more powerful than what this world's got to offer. It's called The Gift of the Holy Ghost. My goodness, what a gift. Hallelujah. You can remain seated. Um, we're going to go to Isaiah 28 and verse number, thankful for the opportunity. I enjoy hearing everybody else teach, really do, and uh I hope I can help someone today. Isaiah 28 and verse 9, we miss our pastor today. Hey, we got we got the best pastor, we got the best church. He has, God has used him to put something together here that that's just, I mean, there's probably nothing else in the world like this. There can't be. I mean, this this is where Heaven touches Earth. It really is. We miss him [Music] today. Isaiah 28 and verse 9, we'll go through verse 12. Whom shall he teach knowledge and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Everybody say understand doctrine. Them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. Verse number 10, for precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little. There things just building, just a little bit here, a little bit there, a line here, a line there, a precept here, precept here. Verse number 11, for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people to whom he said, this is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Sister Morales. Appreciate that. I I don't I don't have a title. It's hard to title teaching. You can't, I got a laugh out of Brother Dylan. It's hard to put a title. I mean, you want to title everything, but it's just it's just hard to title teaching. We're going to try to teach today, but um I guess the I guess the subject is is don't don't stop there. Do not stop stop there. Don't don't let me say it this way, keep going. There's more. Too many times in our Christian walk, in our Christian life, we want to we want to stop right there. We want to build an altar right there and stay there. And God wants us to pack up and go build an altar and he he wants us to keep moving. This thing's a journey. It's it's not a it's not a set up camp and stay. In the Old Testament, they they was always moving. They picked up picked up the tent and they kept going. They was led by the by the pillar of fire and the and the cloud by day and there things line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. Too many people want to stop on the first line. They they want to I mean God touches them and they're they're moved on and they repent and that's the end of it. They they they cried and they feel like that's all there is to it, but don't stop on the first precept. Don't stop there and set up a doctrine or don't don't let that be that your your salvation, just that one encounter. John 3:16, one of the most famous verses in the Bible. People just want to just take that one line and and just set up shop right there and and I'm thinking, what about all that you just read right before it? I mean, it's just a few verses. John John, let's go to John uh 3 1-8. You see, they everybody loves 3:16, but same chapter we got to keep we got to keep going. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we know thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these Miracles thou doest except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, verily verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. We're going to go through verse eight. Nicodemus saying to him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, verily verily I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. So we got some we got some other lines here, some other precepts that that which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I I said unto thee, you must be born again. Verse eight, the wind bloweth where it listeth, thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and where whether it goeth. So is everyone that is born of the spirit. They want to they want to stop at 3:16, but I'm thinking, what what about all that you just read? How are you born of the water and how are you born of the spirit? And John 3:16 is is great and it's a it's a line, it's a precept, it's a it's a stepping stone, but it's not the end of the of your journey. You're just getting started. It's just the beginning. Too many want to settle when God is saying there's more. Too many are not are not trying to, too many want to sit down when God's saying march. This this is an instruction manual. It's an instruction manual. Anybody ever seen an instruction man? Anybody ever bought anything that come with an instruction manual? Was was there just one step? Have you ever seen an instruction manual with one step? I haven't. I mean, they wouldn't even have to print one. You you would, there would be no need for the manual. They could have just put it on the box and said do this, but this is an instruction manual. He said line upon line and precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. I'm going to speak to my people. This ain't a one-step plan. My goodness, it don't work in business or you find one success uh book on business and does it have one step? He wouldn't had to wrote the book. He could have just told you to believe in what I believe in what I said, just believe in it. You ain't got to do anything, but that's not the way we write books and that's not the way God wrote this book. It would be the exactly like the children of Israel coming to the Red Sea and stopping and just say all right, we here we are. No, they they had to go on across the Red Sea. If they would have stopped at getting out of Egypt, they was a little they was further to go, Brother Henry. They it would be just like them coming out of Egypt, all that slavery and bondage and everything that happened to them. They're out of Egypt and they stop at the Red Sea. No, wouldn't have been good. They would have died there. Pharaoh's Army would have killed them. Standing there looking at the baptismal tank, they would be like, I don't know if baptism is really necessary, y'all. I don't really know if I should be baptized or not. Is it really necessary to be baptized? And they're standing there about to get murdered. There's more to that thing. If salvation was only believing, it would it would be it would be just like stopping, just stopping at the altar in the Tabernacle. You got the Tabernacle here and they they make it to the Altar and they say, you know what, there's no need to go into the Laver. I I sure you know the holy of holies. We ain't got to do that. Does anybody see what I'm saying? We you don't stop at the at the altar. There there's there's there's more to this. The children of Israel would not have been baptized through the sea. They would have died and never reached the promised land. Acts 10 uh no 1 Corinthians 10 and verse number 1. 1 Corinthians 10 and 1 through 2, the first two verses, it says, all were baptized. It said, more of a brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant that all our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea. Verse two, and all were and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. It was a type of baptism. Every one of them had to do it. They all passed through there. They they didn't sit there and debate, I wonder if I should be baptized or not. They would have died standing right there. We're not we're not going to get too deep in all this, but they had the they had the pillar of fire leading them through the to the promised land. It's the type of the Holy Ghost. They had to have the Holy Ghost. If they wouldn't had the fire leading them into the promised land, they would have just died right there. They would have never made it. They'd still be wondering in the wilderness today. Somebody say, don't stop there. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. Too many too many people stop at let's go to Romans 10. Too many people stop at Romans 10 and 9. Romans 10 and 9 and we're going to look at that verse and then verse 14 and verse 18 in Romans Romans 10. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, thou shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. You got to keep reading. No, don't stop reading at verse 9. That same chapter, verse verse number 14 of that same chapter, let's let's look at it. So we're still reading. We we we read 10 and 9. We're down to 10 and 14. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Let's go to 15. I I don't know. I I want to be sure I don't miss all right 16. Maybe it's just 18, but I want to be sure I don't miss. Yeah, let's go to 18. But I say have they not heard? Yes, he said, yes, they heard. We're still in the same chapter of Romans 10 and 9 that everybody stop right there in the middle and but he's telling he's explaining something here to him. He said, yes, verily their sound went into all the Earth and their their words unto the ends of the world. You know, as as my uh as my grand Paul would say, he would uh he would say, tell me what they heard. Somebody investigate what they heard. He said, I want to he I can I can just hear him in some of those debates. He he would

Be telling he'd say, Mr. so-and-so, "When you get up here to this podium, I want you to tell me what they heard." You know what they heard? They heard Acts two; they heard Acts eight; they heard Acts ten; they heard Acts nineteen. Their sound went into all the Earth. Their words were heard: "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, and and and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." That's what they heard. Read Acts; you'll find out what they heard. You got to keep reading. You can't stop. You can't just pull a one scripture out of this instruction manual and just camp out. Acts 2, Acts 2, 1-4: This is this is what happened. The day of Pentecost was fully come; they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as a rush, a mighty wind, that filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Let's go to Acts 2 and 21. Let's keep reading. Keep reading. Somebody say, "Keep reading." Same chapter, Acts two. I hope I'm helping somebody. When when you're reading this book, don't don't get don't get hung up on one; just keep reading. So here's Peter in Acts 2; he says, "And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." There's a bunch of people that just want to stop right here. You you know, he could have stopped preaching right there. If that would have been the end of it, if it's just that we call on the name of the Lord and be saved, why did Peter keep talking? You got to keep reading. Acts 2 and uh, let's go, let's keep reading 37. We we ain't going to we ain't got time to read the whole chapter today, but you can go home and read it. Acts 2 and 37. If we keep reading now, when he was done saying all that, he he kept he kept preaching and he said, "Now when they they heard all this, they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and the rest of the Apostles, 'Men and brethren, what shall we do?'" Verse 38: Then Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." We're going to we're going to read through 40. For the promise is unto you. Everybody say it's me if you're breathing. It's unto you and your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. It's for everybody. It wasn't for the 12 apostles; it it wasn't for the 12 disciples; it wasn't for the 120; it wasn't just for Mary and Peter; it was for everybody. Verse 40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation." You know you know where Peter stopped? He stopped at this is for everyone. That's this way I just told you is for everybody. There's no end to this thing. He he he was saying this thing don't end; it's it's for everybody living. He said, "Save yourselves, save yourselves." I don't know why this scripture has been on my maybe maybe I'll it'll help somebody, but there's a scripture in Philippians 2 and 12 that a lot of people like to like to stop right here. They they like to they like to set up shop right here. Philippians 2:12 says, "Work out your own salvation." Well, let's just read it all. "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence." Now look at that absence. Paul, he wasn't there; he was absent. He said, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Now if I'm if I'm wrong about this, it'll it'll get fixed, but I felt like I prayed one day and I said, "God, I want you to show me what this meant." I I just I felt it so strong, and it wasn't just, you know, what I had to do. I had to keep reading. I just had to keep reading. It was so simple. A lot of people want to stop right here and say, "I'm I'm just going to work out my own salvation. I I don't need to go to church; I don't need to do all that." Has anybody ever heard that, "I'm just going to work out my own salvation?" Well, you know what? Let's let's keep reading. Philippians 2 and 9, same chapter, verse 19: "But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort when I know your state." Verse 20: "For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state." So what he's saying here, "I ain't got anybody to send you. I don't have a preacher to send to you right now, Brother Frederick. You're going to be on your own for just a little bit." Now it would it it would be like attending a church and the pastor had to go out out of the country for a couple of months, six months, a year. I don't know. You know what? You ain't going to have a pastor for a little while. You're going to have to work out your own salvation. It ain't that you're going to have to just do whatever makes you feel right, but he was just saying something here in conversation. Doesn't don't that make sense? I think there's one more. He said, "I have no man likeminded." Verse 21, I don't know if that's the Li—no, that was it. Verse verse 20, he said, "I have no man likeminded; I ain't got anybody to send to you, so you going to have to work it out on your own for just a little bit until I send somebody." And then how how they going to hear without a preacher? I'm going to send you a preacher, and he's going to tell you what you need to do. Now that makes sense to me. You just got to keep reading. If you've got a question, pray about it and keep reading. Keep reading. Colossians 1 and 2. Colossians 1 and 2. This is this is one of my favorite uh, we're going to look at a few verses right here. Uh, anybody ever read the uh read the Epistles and kind of got hung up with some of the wording? And this is this is it sounds a lot like this: "To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." So a lot of people get hung up right here, and they'll set up a doctrine, a Trinitarian doctrine. They say they've got to be there's got to be two right here, you know, and it's easy in our English to for for that to get, you know, the devil likes to just twist stuff. I mean, he he likes to just take what the word of God says and just turn it into something and and try to get somebody all tripped up, and he's good at it. He's been doing it a long time. But let's look at uh, we're going to look at four four. So if you're going to right here set up a doctrine, and that's what we're talking about today, doctrine. If you're going, let's look at Colossians 3 and 1 17. If you're going to put two right here, let's look at Colossians 3:1 17. "Same book, different chapter. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Now is that two, God and the Father? Now if you're going to divide them up, now there's not a there's not a theologian in this world that would divide right here, God and the Father, that but they want to divide back back there. You see what I'm saying? So so don't get tripped up when you're reading your Bible and you come across stuff like that. Let's look at let's look at 1 Thessalonians 3:1. We got more of these. All that gets pointed out is the the other ones, but let's look at 1 Thessalonians 3:1. "Now God himself, God and our Father," two, "and our Lord Jesus Christ," three. No no no no no no no. Nobody would in their right mind would do that. So don't when you when you come across and it says God and and Jesus Christ, just just keep just keep reading. I I heard I heard a guy say one time that that "and" is that "and" is is Kai in the Greek, and it it means even our God, even Jesus Christ, you know. So just just be careful. Don't people like to take one little thought and turn a doctrine into it, and and God's just saying, "Keep reading, don't stop there." You got to understand this thing. It's line on line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. Don't stop there and make a Here we'll look at let's look at two more. I'll just James 1 and 27. James 1 27: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father." That's nobody would divide that up; that's that's not two; that's one. And so is it when they're when when they're introduced in a book in the Bible, and they they throw all those "ands" in there, it's not one, it's not two, it's not three, it's one. I mean, it's just it's just one. It it's just one. We we won't look at anymore. Um, don't stop reading there. Let's let's look at uh, I'm going to read a different version of Acts 19. Acts 19 and verse number one: It says, "Now it happened that while Apollos was away in Corinth, Paul made his way down through the mountains, came to Ephesus, and happened upon some disciples there. The first thing he said, 'Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Did you take God into your mind only, or did you also embrace him with your heart? Did he get inside of you? Did he get inside of you?' We've never they this is their response, 'We've never even heard of that, a Holy Spirit, God within us.'" He said, "Well, how were you baptized then?" asked Paul. "In John baptism," they said. Paul said, "That explains it. That explains it," said Paul. "John preached a baptism of radical life change so that people would be ready to receive the one coming after him, who in who turned out to be Jesus. If you've been baptized in John's baptism, you're ready now for the real thing," he said. "You ready for the real thing now?" Wow. And they were as soon as they heard it, they were baptized in the name of the Master Jesus. Paul put his hands on their head, and the Holy Spirit entered them. From that moment on, they were praising God in tongues and talking about God's actions. All together were about 12 people that day. Wow. You know you know what you know what this that first line is getting you ready for the real thing. You know what that second line is getting you ready for the real thing. You know what that third precept it's getting you you're being set up. And and when I got to putting all this together, I got to thinking, "You know what? If somebody has been baptized any other way besides Jesus' name, you know what? They're just ready for the real thing." Now it's not that they it's just you know what? Now you're ready for the real thing. You've got to be baptized in the name of Jesus. He said, "Now you're ready for the real thing." Line upon line, precept. Don't stop on your Christian journey. There's more. Don't settle for less. God has more. It's alive. The enemy that you only believe and that's the end. It's alive. The enemy that you only believe and that's the end. That's not the end; it's the beginning. It's the lie of the enemy that you only believe and that's the end. It's a it's it's one of the most clever lies ever invented. It's a lie of the enemy that you only repent and that's the end. It's alive. The enemy that you stop without receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. It's not a spare tire; it's not extra; it's not something that some do and some don't do. We've got to have the Holy Ghost. We must have the Spirit of God inside of us. It's not an option. Romans 8 and verse number 10. Romans 8 10 and 11. It says, Romans 8 and uh 10, 8 and 10: "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." Verse number 11: This is why you got to have the Holy Ghost. "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." You know what the only thing that's going to get us out of here is the Holy Ghost. If we don't have the Holy Ghost, we ain't leaving this world. It's plain as day right there. We got to have the Holy Ghost. Don't don't don't believe the lie that that it don't take all that. There there's a big push that it don't take all that. I'm telling you it takes all that and a lot more. This is a big old book right here, here, and I want to believe it all. I I want to I'm telling you I want to do it all. If it if it even hints about it in there, I want to do it. I want to be a part of God's kingdom. Hallelujah. We're just a few minutes early, 3:54. Any announcements? I'm done. You got one, Brother Matt? You moving over there? Hallelujah. Well, we're a part of the best church in the world. We are. Don't forget uh church Tuesday night. God bless you. You're dismissed in Jesus' [Applause] name.
