How's it going, everybody? Have you ever heard the theory that there were people before Adam and Eve? In fact, a full-on pre-Adamic civilization. We have asked these questions before. Where did Cain's wife come from? Who were the other people that he was scared of?
In this video, we're going to do a deep dive into all of these questions and look at the story of Adam from three different perspectives. One, the story that we've all been told since we were little children. Two, a similar story that is far older. And finally, a very different story, a darker story that I think you will find very interesting.
To help guide us on this journey, we will be listening to Pastor Gino Jennings, Dr. William Craig, and Gary Wayne. To start us off, let's dive into story number one and see why the vast majority of Christians believe this to be true. So without further ado, here is Pastor Gino Jennings.
"This is the old teaching that people were here before Adam. Before Adam. This is a very old teaching. Oh yeah. It's nothing new. It was here before the internet ever got here. The book of scripture teaches us that Adam was the first man. First man. That's right. That's what the book says. The book, it tells us he was the first man. He was the first one that was created in God's image. There were nobody here. Listen at this. The book of Genesis chapter 1 and verse 26. Yeah. And God said, 'Let us make man.' Let us make people. Let us make man, singular, sir. One. One. One, sir. Let us make man. How? In our image. In our image. After our likeness. Our likeness. So, so God created man. So, God created a whole bunch of folks. God created man, singular. Amen. The reason why it was needed for God to create it one because the creation of that one would establish how many gods it was. That's right. That's right. That's right. Didn't know that, did you? That's right. That's right, sir. Glory to God. That's right. Amen. God didn't want a variety of men to be here first. That's right. One image. Wonderful. Why you think he say he made man in his image? When you stand in the mirror, do you see a group or do you see one? Just one. Just one. Glory to God. I hope you can get this. That's right. Beautiful. So if God made man in his image and in his likeness, then man was the reflection of his creator. That's why he only could make one. That's right. Because there is no God but one. That's right. So when man stood in the garden, what you beheld was a reflection of God. That's right. One God. One God. One man. One man. That's right. That's right. So if anybody preached there was other people before Adam, he's a liar. Thy first father. Do you hear this? In Isaiah 43 and verse. You see, the first man had to take on the titles of the first. That's right. See, you have the first man. That's right. But then you have simply the first. First. That's right. That's right. Are you getting me? That's right. God is called the first and the last. That's right. So you have the first. Amen. And then you have the first man made by Alpha. That's right. Amen. Alpha made Adam. That's right. And Adam was a reflection of Alpha. That's right. Are you getting me? Go ahead. That's right. I want to take you to school. I love the detailed things, you know. Amen. Listen at this. And God said, 'Let us make man in our image.' Let us make man in our image. And you of course would look at the word us and our and think that Godhead is plural. But no, God was doing the same thing that you do. You counsel within yourself or you advise self. The book of Ephesians, the book of scripture teaches us that God worketh all things after the counsel or after self advice. That's right. That's right. After advising self, after counseling with self, after talking with self, let us make man. You ever say, you know what? We got to get these things together. But he ain't talking about no one or to anyone but you. That's right. That's right. That's all God was doing. That's it. Let us make man in our image after our likeness. So what did God do? So God created man. So God created man in his own, own, own image. Own. In his own image. That's right. What? In the image of God. In the image of God created he him. Created he him. So therefore, Adam was the reflection of God. And Adam was so much of the reflection of God. Glory to God. Until he had the title God. That's right. That's right. And he took on God's title of father. Father. That's right. In Isaiah 43 and verse 27, listen. Thy first father. Do you hear it? Do you hear it? Do you hear it? Amen. The word of God says what? Thy first father. Thine first father hath sinned. Hath sinned. You see, one father was sinless. That's right. That's right. The created father sinned. That's right. And would need help from the heavenly father. Amen. Amen. The heavenly father will restore man back to his rightful place of being upright that he may ref My God. I better get to other stuff that he may reflect God in all his ways and in all his doing. I better leave that alone because that's a lot of good stuff in there, brother."
Now, that's the traditional view, and I'm sure all of you already knew that. But Pastor Gino Jennings also made some very interesting points as to why it was so significant that God created Adam, the first person on this earth, as a singular being. Now, as I mentioned, there are people who don't believe this traditional view. So, let's dive into story number two. Without further ado, here is Dr. William Craig.
"Well, there are basically four views concerning the historical Adam. The first view we could call the traditional view. This is the view that the church has held down through history that Adam and Eve were a real historical couple who lived just a few thousand years ago, were created by God out of the dust of the earth, and were the ancestors of all of mankind. A second view would say that Adam and Eve were not the universal ancestors of mankind, though they were a real historical couple that lived relatively recently, a few thousand years ago. This view holds that what God did was select out of a wider human population outside the garden one specific couple to set his favor upon and then to bless their descendants. And so Adam and Eve are real historical people who are the descendants of a certain subclass of the human beings that have lived on this earth. A third view would say that Adam and Eve were real historical persons, but that they were extremely ancient. They lived perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago, and they were, in fact, the universal common ancestors of all humankind. Every human being who has ever walked upon the earth is descended from Adam and Eve. And this universal descent is purchased by pushing the location of Adam and Eve very, very far into the ancient past. And then finally, a fourth view we could call the mythical view, which would say that Adam and Eve were not historical persons. That this is simply a Hebrew myth about the creation of humanity and how every person is mortal, sinful, fallen, and in need of God's grace and forgiveness."
Before we continue, I just want to say massive shout out to Abe Shelonberg. He became the first member of Faith Quest. Now, let's get back to the video.
"Which one of those options would you consider the the the one that the church has held the longest?"
"The traditional view."
"Oh, clearly the traditional view has been held the longest. It's only really been with the advent of modern science and the discovery that humankind did not originate a mere 10,000 years ago, but far, far into the past, as we've discovered not only the remains of human beings going much further back, but also their artifacts, things like the beautiful cave paintings in Lascaux and Trov, France, and archaeological discoveries of arrowheads and spears and beads and grindstones and all sorts of other implements used by ancient man. It has challenged this traditional view of Adam and Eve. Also the discovery of population genetics, that the genetic diversification among human beings today is too great to have arisen from a single couple just a few thousand years ago. In order for the diverse human genetic profile to have arisen from a single couple, they must have lived hundreds of thousands of years ago. So it's been in virtue of these modern archaeological and paleontological and historical and genetic discoveries that the traditional view has now been severely challenged. I think that the best way to coordinate the scientific and biblical data is to push Adam and Eve way back into the past so that they are the ancestors not only of Homo sapiens but also of Neanderthals. And that puts them back around 750,000 years ago. If we locate Adam and Eve there, there's no problem with there being the ancestors of every human being that has ever lived. And they are also far enough in the past that all of the genetic diversification among the present population can arise from a single couple who lived more than 500,000 years ago. So what this would require you to revise in the traditional view would be the recency of Adam and Eve. It would require you to give up their recency and adopt an ancient view. But once you do that, the rest of the narrative is unaffected. They will be the progenitors of every human being that ever existed. You can have a historical fall. It's only the date that I think needs revision. So by way of my final conclusion, who was the ancestor of Homo sapiens and Neanderthals? Well, it was a hominin called Homo heidelbergensis. And you can look him up on Wikipedia if you want to read more about Homo heidelbergensis. But I think that he was probably Adam and Eve, or Adam and Eve were did belong to the species Homo heidelbergensis. And he was not some kind of an ape-man or something like that. He was an intelligent, gifted, and cognitively modern human being, which is ancestral to Neanderthals and Homo sapiens."
So, it sounds like Dr. William Craig agrees with Pastor Gino Jennings that Adam is the first man. But what he is saying is somewhat antithetical to the traditional story of Adam and Eve when we look at the genealogies of the Bible and how that relates to the age of the earth. I already did a video talking about the age of the earth, so I'll leave that up here for you to check out. But now I want to dive into this third story. If Adam was not the first being created on this earth, then who was? Why are there people who don't believe in the traditional view or this alternative that we just heard? Where did this idea of a pre-Adamic civilization even come from? To explain all of this and more, here is Gary Wayne.
"As we understand the land that Adam is ruling over, that's from the Euphrates to the Nile River, from Mount Hermon to the Red Sea. It's a large piece, right? But that doesn't mean it's all one continent. I mean, it's a join. Even to this day, it's still a join to basically Africa and Asia and Asia Minor. So there could be other continents and there certainly are other civilizations. So when Cain leaves Eden, not I'm sorry, when Cain leaves Adam and Eve after Adam and Eve are ostracized from Eden, he goes east to the Euphrates River into not a named place, which is city, kind of an out of part. Fact, unless you understand that there's already more other civilizations and other peoples. But we associate the Adamites with the Sumerians or the blackheads and one culture. But that doesn't mean there weren't other cultures. We just aren't told that they're there. And I'm not saying we should look at it as fact that there was other civilizations, but it there may have been and we want to be aware of that. So in polytheism, there is more than one culture. And depending on the history that you're looking at and who you're reading, you can go from four civilizations to seven civilizations to nine civilizations to 11 civilizations. I think we should be open to the fact that there are multiple civilizations around the world that were significantly advanced that we're just catching up to today."
"Okay. But how did how does that happen if do you do you believe that Adam and Eve were the first of mankind's?"
"No, I think I think um"
"Like, were these other civilizations human?"
"Yeah, I do. Uh, I think when we look at Adam and Eve, that is accepted as doctrine that that's the creation of the first humans. Well, it doesn't really say that. We actually get people created on day six. Now, is that the same creation as Adam and Eve as with day six? And the likely answer to that is only if you believe the Bible contradicts itself. And I do not. And the reason why I say that is when you line up the details in Genesis 2 versus Genesis 1, they don't coincide together. So what happens is, as a quick example, is you have male and female created in multiple and in great numbers on day six, told to multiply and to move around the world and settle the world as nomads. I would say hunters and gatherers, you with the description of the food, they start off as gatherers. I think they become hunters as well with the corruption by the fallen angels, which become so corrupt that you need a creation of Adam and Eve. But Adam is created in singular. Eve is created sometime later from the rib. And you might say, well, that's just an additional detail which the Bible does do quite often. Gives you part of the information and adds. But this is different. It's not at the same time, and it's unique in that you have the spirit breathed into Adam, but not included in day six. And that's just the start. And then that starts to explain where the people came from and not where Cain finds a wife that should not be there. And people say, well, it's a sibling. Well, it can't be a sibling because, you know, as in a sister, um, because Seth is born when Adam is 130 years old, and then sometime later, you have other sons and daughters born, but not named. Doesn't fit the chronology in terms of what happens in Genesis 2 and Genesis 3. And we don't know how long after day seven, when the Eden account, when the Eden account is there, and you get the tool that's going on, the tool of the earth. Olad is genealogy is, and we get that tool or genealogy of Adam that shows up at the end of Genesis 4 and the beginning of Genesis 5. Same sort of language there. But an earth doesn't have a genealogy. M. This is a genealogy of the Adamites created for a special commission because I think the whole earth had become corrupted by the fallen angels, including all of the people of the day of day six. Do we have an example of that? Yes, we have an unexplained being that shows up in Genesis 3 called the serpent. The serpent is a beast of the field. The beasts of the fields are created in day six before Adam, or before the humans that are called Adam, as well. Adam takes the name of humans. He's the same species, might be a different race, but of the same species. So in 2 Peter 3, where we get a template for prehistory of this period, you have a day is a thousand years. So if a day is a thousand years, and you have the beings of the field that are created before male and female, you could have up to a thousand years difference. People might say, well, sun on the moon, 24 hours, that comes in about day three to four, I think day four, as I recall, doesn't explain the light that was there in Genesis 1:3. And you have creation going on before that. So, when does the 24-hour cycle start? Well, the emmo of the Bible is, it stays consistent with the language and how things roll out. So yes, we have the firmament created with the sun and the moon. So that now we're going to have day and night. Um, but that thousand years would go roll through through the whole six days of creation as Exodus 20 talks about. It needs to be consistent, right? In terms of how that plays out. So you could have 7,000 years happening before Adam shows up, and maybe even longer, because we're not given a day eight. And this serpent, people nahash, as it's in Hebrew, has a source word nahash, which means a ser, not just a serpent, but it means a necromancer. It means a sorcerer. It means words that are associated with polytheist priests and priestesses. This is the one deceiving Adam. This is the one that's held up by polytheists to be the superior kingly race before Adam is created. That was taller than Adam and the size of a camel in terms of height, as the Gnostics would describe the serpent. It's not Satan that's deceiving Eve, like most people think. In Ezekiel 28, Satan is said to be in Eden, but he's not seraphim there. He's not a serpent. He's the anointed cherub, a cherubim that is in Eden at that time. So, he's there. He's just as Ezekiel 31 has him in there as the Assyrian or the great tree, but he's not in a serpent format. So, he's probably the avatar of the Avatara Nahash, or he's coaching him. He's involved, but he's not doing the deception. And it's the Nahash being that gets punished. Right? So, we've got a lot more going on. And that example of this serpent being a priest of polytheism now suggests that the fallen angels had set up their religion before Adam. Oh. And corrupted the earth, which may cause a restart again."
"So mankind was created first, and Adam was created after?"
"Yes."
"As an individual?"
"Yeah. And Adam is placed in the garden as an agrarian, not a nomad, not a gatherer, and not a hunter and gatherer. He is going to be raising, and you particularly, as you take it back to the Greek or to the Hebrew meanings of the words, he is managing a plantation, an agricultural plantation from the Nile to the Euphrates. They are raising domestic animals. They are planting crops and there are orchards. And there's one of them. And then God relents and gives them one helper. It's still this massive place. [laughter] But the point of the matter is, he's not a nomad. It's in contradiction to day six. So the only way you get through that and how things start to make sense rolling forward with all the details that I provided, and there's more in the document that I can send people, is that there's two different creations of the humans, and we're seeing this cycle of fallen angels that continue to try and destroy humankind of all forms by leading them away from God and then destroyed into oblivion. That's their goal. Great. Let me let me tie in. So, mankind is created as a species."
"Yeah."
"Adam is made is Adam created sometime after day seven?"
"Yes."
"Why do we think God created Adam? If you already had, I'm assuming God's the one that created the species."
"Yeah. God. Yeah. God the word. When God said the word, when God created day six, understand he's Alpha and Omega. So he understands the beginning and from the end. He knows everything that's going to play out and how it's going to play out from the beginning. Which is why he's able to write all the names in the book of life in that book of life from before creation so that everybody will have an opportunity to leave their name in or have it blotted out. So he knows everything that's going to happen, but he lets that free choice that he provides not only to humans but to angels to play out and to fully indict themselves. And that's what the fallen angels do, the Nephilim. They fully indict themselves with the crimes they're going to commit after the rebellion against humankind. So what do they do? If this day six scenario, as I'm setting forth, is accurate, is they are going to corrupt all of the day six people and lead them away from God and justify their rebellion. That's what they're looking for, a legal play, in my opinion, to create some sort of truce treaty. We can have the earth rule on our own and away from from God. But God knows this is going to happen. Lets them indict themselves and restarts with Adam. With with Adam. Okay. And it's an MMO that continues to play out. It restarts again after the flood. It restarts again after Babel."
Adam was not created on day six, but after day seven. That goes against everything we've been told about Genesis and the creation. So before we close out, I want to take a quick look at the text. Here we have Genesis chapter 2, verse 18. And I'll read this, and you'll see why Gary Wayne said the creation account in Genesis chapter 1 is different than Genesis 2. And this is where he comes up with his idea that Adam and the people created on day six are two different groups.
"And the Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.' Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them."
So in this account, Adam was created before the beasts and the birds. But then, see, Gary Wayne said that Adam was created after day seven. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam, there was not found a helper comparable to him. And that's when God made Eve. Adam was not mentioned on day six. The first time he was mentioned was here in Genesis 2, verse 19.
Now, I'm going to give you my full thoughts on this in another video, but I want to hear what you all think. Was there really a pre-Adamic civilization, a group of people that were created before Adam? Or was Adam really the first being that God created? Let me know your thoughts down below in the comment section, and I'll see you all in the next video. Take care. Bye-bye. Heat. Heat. N.
