Hey friends, Jo back with another super cool astrology video. And I thought we would continue my sun sign series and talk about Libra men today. What happens when we see the sun come through the lens of Libra?
So, the sun is our identity. It's our ego structure. It's what we want to be appreciated for being, for showing up as. It's not like Mars, which is what we want to be recognized and appreciated for for doing, or for getting, or for, um, accomplishing. The sun is really related to, uh, how we want to show up and be appreciated for, for being in the world, for how we want others to see us. So, it's a lot of our strength and our expression is the sun.
And so when that comes through the lens of Libra, we tend to see a man who prefers the company of women. This is a sign where, um, men typically have more feminine characteristics in them than, um, other sun signs. And there's a few sun signs like that. Pisces is like that. Um, cancer men tend to have more feminine characteristics as well, and Libra. So, um, Libra man tends to think like a woman. His style of thinking is very female. And Libra females tend to think like a man. So his motivations and his wants and his needs are very, um, female in scope.
So, um, this is the sign of justice, and it is the sign of others. It is the sign of business. So this is a very social sign. That does not mean that all people with their sun in Libra are social butterflies, because we could have, um, a secretive moon. We could have the sun coming into the eighth house or the fourth, and we see somebody who's decidedly more introverted.
So it's, um, one where these men can be surprisingly argumentative, because the seventh house is the other side of things. It's the view, it's other people, very opposite from the first house of who I am and what I know to be. This is others. So that he sees all sides of issues, and he can be very changeable in his opinions. So, um, he can be surprisingly antagonistic when it comes to, um, conversations. Um, he loves to debate and to play devil's advocate as well. So he may be arguing with you about, about something that he doesn't even necessarily believe, but because you're coming at something in such a fixed fashion, he could feel like he has to present the other side to that.
So he can actually be very frustrating in this regard. But if you realize what's going on, and it's just part of his, um, makeup, and that he's actually trying to assist you in enlarging your own viewpoint, then you can kind of understand where he's coming from.
So, um, this is a man who is really looking for a lady when it comes to, uh, his love life. And if this is, um, a gay male we're talking about, he is typically looking for a, a gender balancing mate. So somebody that, you know, if he is showing up as very masculine himself or very feminine, he's very much looking for someone who can bring some balance to that, who has, uh, what he feels he's missing.
So, because this is the sign of the scales, and ultimately Libra men are very much looking for the, um, the equal orientation to them. So they're looking for balance. And whatever they are, they're looking for a mate who has some of the opposite characteristics. So, um, they really want to show their love through respect. So it's really, really important that Libra men find a mate that, above all, they respect. Because it's something that if he doesn't have that, he has a hard time with the love. The love really comes from respect with this particular sun sign. Very much related, and there's several sun signs that have that going on.
So, um, this is a sign that you do not want to chase, ladies and gentlemen, because it's very important that you allow Libra man to pursue you. Because in that, he needs to see and know that you are discriminating, that you are, um, have a filtering process. And it's probably not bad to make him wait or to jump through a few hoops, so he knows that you are, um, looking for quality as well, because that's what he's looking for is quality.
So Libra man may play around. He may have, um, girlfriends or flings. He may have casual relationships, but his heart, his respect, is very much reserved for, for a quality lady. So this is typically a beta male. Libra, Libra male suns, they're very much looking for the balance to that. So looking for a capable alpha female to do the driving. And it's really interesting how many, um, couples with a Libra sun male where the female actually literally does do most of the driving.
So, um, it's a, a sun sign where they really are looking for some kind of solidity in their own expression or in their own identity through partnership. So he feels a lot of times that he's missing a certain amount of power or, um, uh, the ability to strike fear that other men can do more easily. And so a lot of times if he meets a female that has that, then this is can provide that real magnetic attraction that he's looking for.
Um, he tends to be respectful of women, but not if he doesn't respect you, then no, that all goes out the window. So it's important to look how Libra men were, look at their moon and their Venus. You need to analyze the relationship that they had with their mother to really determine his level of, of respect for women. What he is, is he more of a user or a player? Because there's a certain segment of Libra men who do, um, fall into that category, at least early on in their lives. Or was he taught from an early age to respect women?
So, um, you know, strong Saturn contacts with the moon, um, you know, certain placements are going to show that, uh, he was well taught. Um, it, it's just an interesting, um, dynamic when you look at this, uh, particular sun sign that, um, you can see some that do have a certain amount of contempt for women, and that really comes from this feeling that women are not, not demanding the kind of respect that he's looking for. So it can be kind of this game that goes on with him where he wants to respect you, but if he doesn't, then he just can't, and then he doesn't like you. But if you make him, then he doesn't like it, but he likes it because he can respect you, and it's really an interesting, um, uh, circle that we can see going on there.
Um, so tends to be, uh, very sexually open when we have, uh, this, um, particular sun time. There's more statistically gay Libra sun sign males than any other sign. They just tend to be more, um, appreciative of feminine qualities and less fearful about displaying those, um, than other men, um, which in itself shows a certain amount of security with, um, those, uh, feminine qualities. So if you see a Libra male that's, you know, really, uh, displaying a lot of alpha characteristics or is very, um, you know, very, uh, cocky, then this is one that can have some Saturn issues with his sun, uh, Pluto issues with the moon. There's a compensating quality to that type of Libra male. A Libra male that can readily admit that he has, um, some feminine characteristics or some feminine leanings is a pretty healthy, um, Libra male.
So they do tend to be flirtatious in general, but loyal if committed. But look at the relationship with the mother. Wants to be married. This is a sun sign that really does want the label or the, um, identity of marriage. So they can be more apt to push to put a ring on it, rather than to, you know, like Aries male or Gemini, or Aries male want to keep it more open-ended, where, you know, they're committed, but not completely, you know, maybe something better could come along. And Libra males can often have that thought too, that they are happy, but they could be happier.
Um, typically they do like to completely invest in the relationship that they are in. They're less apt, like Gemini males, to keep that eye on the horizon for the, the one, the real one. Libra male wants to, to have that in his real life. So he tends to try to make that the case.
So it likes quality things, likes beauty, prefers a beautiful female, prefers lingerie, prefers feminine looking female, feminine looking males as well. Um, uh, loves female that takes care of herself, and that looks fit, and that has an air of self-respect. So trashy, um, clothing, too much makeup, you know, this is not, not Leo man who's looking, you know, for Mae West. Libra sun males tend to look for the more natural beauty. And, um, although they want it to be done up to a certain degree. So, you know, like, um, ladies, those dates you go on and you spend like, you know, six hours getting ready, but you don't want it to look like you've been getting ready for six hours. So you try to, um, you know, it's, it's the casual look that you're going for, but you know that it took all day. So this is what he's kind of looking for.
So, um, it's a real interesting sign, uh, where they like nice things, they like nice women, they like nice people, they want everything to be nice, they want people to get along. But they are, are also on the other side, kind of antagonistic and argumentative. So there are some complexities when we're talking about the certain sun sign. And all in all, um, they really are about balancing their own characteristics with the opposite characteristics of another. So, um, if you can keep that in mind, then, and you can, uh, have a pretty good understanding of what Libra man is really after.
