[Music] I don't know why. I don't know how. But in my spirit, I feel like God is up to something. And that might be the difference between you and your neighbor because based off of the level of praise you brought into this service, they're looking at you like you ain't got a problem in the world.
I'm not praising God because he's done it. Sometimes I'm praising God cuz I don't know what he's going to do. But I've lived long enough to know he's getting ready to do something. And I don't know who I'm preaching to early in this little message of mine. But if you ever had any faith the side of a mustard seed, the Bible says death and life, I'mma preach to y'all. They sleep over there. Death and life are in the power of your tongue. Which mean if I declare a thing, oh, y'all going to be cute with me today. I can see a thing. That's why your neighbor better be glad they sit next to you cuz they didn't sit next to nobody who's scared of the devil. Just look at them and say, "I'm going to speak something over your life." And I need you to speak something over my life. Tell them, "I don't know what you need from God, but I speak over your life. God is up to something. You didn't bring your praise with you. I'mma preach to you. Look at the other neighbor and tell them get ready cuz God's up to something. They didn't shout with you. So forget both of them and lay hands on your own head and say he's up to something in my finances. He's up to something in my career. Millions didn't make it, but I'm one of the ones who here. And you think I sat in the line, set up in the balcony to come to church so you can see my Easter suit. The devil is a liar. I came to let the devil know I'm still here. I wish I had a thousand survivors who could just high five three people and shout I'm still here. Debt couldn't kill me. My haters couldn't block me. Sickness couldn't break me. My bad credit couldn't stop me. When I look back over my life and think things over, touch somebody and tell them he's up to something. Put the organ in the monitor. God is up to something. God is up to something. I'm trying to be dignified. God is up to something. That's why your circle think you have crazy cuz they keep asking you why you ain't lost your mind yet. And you don't even can't even explain why you still got peace. You just need to put in the group chat, God is up, Michael, to something. And this is why I know God is getting ready to getting rid of the spirit of jealousy. God is removing the spirit of jealousy because my something, who going to help me preach this? Ain't your something. And the only time I get jealous of your something is because I think God ain't got enough of something in the back. And God told me to tell you, his inventory never runs out. I'mma say this and a thousand of y'all going to jump up. He said, "I got more than enough. God is [Applause] up."
And so when we tiptoe into the corridors of today's text, we find ourselves situated and acculturated in a very popular biblical story. Woo! You heard this when you was in Sunday school. You can quote it with me. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe it to him. Pause. Let me parathetically digress. That scripture ain't cute as you think. That scripture is the reason he was killed. Because when that scripture was written, John 3:16 is not a poem. Nicodemus snuck into the wilderness to meet Jesus because anybody who was caught with Jesus could be killed. See, that's my problem with 21st century Christians. We got too many of y'all saved on the [Applause] low. Now, if you love me, it may cost you something. Nicodemus sneaks into the woods and he says, "Jesus, I th I heard this. Jesus, I've heard that." Jesus looks at him and says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son." This messed them up because they believe that the savior was only coming for them. They didn't think Jesus loved the world. He just love church folk. Which is why some churches are empty. Because if you only want folk who got it together, your church ain't ever going to be a hospital. It's going to be a museum. I'm not at church today cuz I got it together. I'm at church cuz I'm still getting it together. I'mma preach to y'all. And he's holding me to this my side. I'mma come over here. This my side over here cuz I think they may have good credit on that side over there. And they sitting over there like they whole life is perfectly jointed together. But it's only six of y'all who live long enough to know if God don't keep me together, I might lose my mind. He's holding. Hear me? And so he says, he says when we find him, it's Sunday. This is Jesus's last week. It wasn't just historical. It was prophetic. Each day maps a moment in his journey. If you've ever felt the tension between God and reality, this is it. Why, PMJ? Cuz when I told you God was up to something, this is what we call, put this to your notes, divine tension, Michael. This is what we call divine tension. Divine tension is the sacred space between God's promise and his performance. I'm trying to be dignified. It is the space between God's promise and his performance. I'mma catch seven of y'all. It is the space between what he told you and you actually getting it. It's the space between the prophetic words you got in church and all of the f vile mess you have to deal with during your life. And some of y'all are frustrated because whenever your prophecy don't match your reality, it breathes irritation. Michael, did you hear what I just said? Whenever your prophecy don't match your reality, it bursts irritation. What if I told you you're irritated? Not cuz you ain't got no money. You're irritated. Not because you ain't got the new house yet. You are irritated at the roof. Because you know in your heart God made you a promise. But every morning you wake up, your promise don't look like your reality. Michael, that's called divine tension. It is the equivalent. Do me a favor. Grab your neighbor and pull him to the left. Now grab the other neighbor and you pull them to the right. Okay. Now, now on the count of three, you decide if you want to go left or right. Pull your neighbor. That's why some of y'all going to get locked up right there, cuz you got your prophecy pulling you toward faith, but you got your problem pulling you toward crashing out. How you sitting in here like I'm in the wrong church today. Everybody who ain't scared of nobody in your section jump up and shout, "I'm in the middle right now, PMJ. I'm not what I'm going to be, but I'm also not who I used to be. I just need to touch somebody and tell them I'm stuck in the [Applause] middle. It's tension. It's tension."
And for some of you, I'm praying for you because you don't know what to do with the tension. It's the tension between God's promise and his performance. You missed that. It's the tension between his promise. Can y'all hear me? And his performance. It's the tension between his promise, Michael, and his performance. Put this in your nose. Promise. What he told you. Performance. what he's doing. And you frustrated, not because you ain't expecting it. I ain't never ran around an arena, but I feel like I might do it today. You frustrated cuz in your heart, you know, and you've seen him do it for other people. Girl, I'm going to shout right here. So, you ain't mad cuz you ain't got it. You mad cuz you like, "When is my turn? Oh, you ain't going to shout with your boy today. I need seven folk with a win my turn spirit jumping up. So people keep saying you so irritated. Why you so fidgety? It's like you snappy. I'm not mean. I've just been faithful. I've been on devo energy. I've been tithing and praying. And I ain't jealous of you. I'm just waiting on it to be okay. Okay. I'm trying to be dignified. All right. I church in Hoover, but I ain't from Hoover. I'm from Ensley. Okay. All my rich saints who watching me online, y'all had Segas. Who had a Sega Genesis? Throw your hand up. Who play Sonic? You had a Nintendo 64. Okay. You had a bike. Okay. All right. We used to go outside and we had a jump rope. I'm going to run. Okay. And so what would happen was it was only one jump rope in the whole hood. So you didn't jump rope by yourself. You would hand one end to them and together y'all would swing it. Now your crazy self will be on the outside like I don't know who going to catch this illustration. And what's crazy is you didn't even want to jump rope. You got tired of people seeing people get in it and mess it up. Then eventually you say, "Let me show you how to do it." I need you to look at your neighbor and tell them you sat next to the right one today. If you need to see somebody walk in favor, let me show you how to do it. If you need to see somebody bounce back from nothing, let me show you how to do it. If you want to see somebody break every generational curse off their family, jump up and shout, "Let me show you how [Applause] to Yeah. Now I got Get out the way. Get out the way. Get out the way."
And when you really knew how to do it, you would talk to them. See, that's your problem right there. You got to catch a rhythm. That's why you can't miss church cuz you in your feelings. Don't break your rhythm. That's why you can't date down. You can't break your rhythm. That's why you can't go places you used to go. Cuz when you break your rhythm, you miss your moment. And I love you, but you ain't cute enough for my [Applause] [Applause] Hey, get on one court. Get on one of the court. See, cuz this what I discovered. You can do it right. But if the people ain't on one accord, that's why you got to do an inventory of your circle and tell them, "Look, we got six months. I need everybody in my section. I need you to grab somebody and tell them I'm squeezing your hand cuz I'm making sure everybody in my section get ready to take this next leap with me. Pull your neighbor on their feet and say, "Neighbor, when I leap, you going to leap with me." Cuz our money going up, our favor going up, our family going up. Come [Music] on, Rock City. I come to make a public service announcement. I'm getting ready to go to another level. And I need you to catch a rhythm. And when you catch that rhythm, hold on. You don't just Uh-uh. Mhm. God said that ain't your future. God said I'm not blessing you. one at a time. He said, "I'm getting ready [Applause] [Music] to I need you to point at somebody in your section and tell them this [Music] year what that mean." PMJ, favor, joy, breakthrough, blessings, favor, joy, breakthrough, blessings, favor. [Music] [Music] I bind the spirit of lines out your life. Lines indicate he got to do it one at a time. I prophesy over your life a ambidextrious anointing that God going to give you this and that. I don't know what you need from God, but I dare you to do this and speak it. One, two, three. Shout. Crazy week. Crazy week. Pastor Mike, I need you to pray for me. Why? It's like every time I turn around, I'm going through something. My friends don't ever go through what I go through. Oh, that's cool. Why is it cool? See, people who get that, the devil ain't paying you no attention. Cuz he know if you get money but no wisdom, you going to be broke again. God said, "I'mma give you in the spirit that helps you keep what I give you in the natural." You ought to touch somebody and shout finances and wisdom. A good relationship and integrity. Hear me. Jesus Jesus wakes up and it's Sunday. It's Sunday. He wakes up and it's Sunday, right? And everybody is shouting hosana. Everybody shouting hosana. I'mma say this to the people in the back and you may catch it. You got to be careful because there are people in your life who will shout when it's prophesied, then try to kill you once it manifests. I'm preaching if you're receiving it. I'mma say it again. There are people, listen to me, go back. People who love the idea of your potential, but they often reject the weight of your purpose. Do I need to say that again? They love the idea of your potential. They can't handle the weight of your purpose. Okay. Okay. Make that make sense. Put this in your notes. When you are prophesied to, you are inspiring. When it manifests, you are intimidating. Michael, when it's a prophecy, it's inspiring. When it manifests, it's intimidating. That's why folk was high-fiving you when you said you was going to do the business, but now don't support you that it's actually a business. [Applause] That's why all y'all sat around and talked about what y'all wedding would look like and y'all was laughing and drinking wine and having a good night. But now that your way here, they act like they ain't got no money for a dress. Cuz certain people don't mind you getting it. They just don't want you to get it before they get it. Pastor Mike, what are you trying to tell me? There are doors. that are getting ready to open in your life and you getting ready to celebrate in a way that you've never seen. Listen to me. But you got to realize there are some folks who are only clapping for the version of you they can control. Michael, there are some people who are only clapping for the version of you they can control. Can I free you? Can I free you? They love Jesus when he was a savior. They couldn't stand him when he was the Messiah. You missed it. You missed it. They loved him when he was the savior. They could not stand him when he became the Messiah. Put this in your notes. Savior means rescuer. Messiah means anointed one. You missed it. Savior means rescuer. Messiah means anointed one. Okay, Pastor Mike, I don't get it. Hosanna means save us. Savior speaks to what he does. Messiah speaks to who he is. You might take out running when I say this. And there are certain people who like what you do. They just wish they didn't have to get it from you. [Applause] That's why you got haters right there. This ain't for everybody cuz some of y'all got nasty attitudes. This is for everybody who ain't bothered nobody. who've been nice to people who tried to play you, who've been good to people who had attitudes with you. Have you ever sat at home and said, "What have I done to these people?" You didn't do nothing to them. They just are irritated that everything they wanted to be and everything they need showed up in. [Applause] Y'all listening to me up there? Can I free y'all real quick? This is your last week apologizing for being who you are naturally. I'm preaching to seven of y'all already. I need six of y'all to just bust a 360 in your section and shout, "When I turn this time, not only is God turning stuff around, but I just left who I was back there." Get ready to see me walk in another level of boldness. Hear me? Hear me? Got to be careful where I piss the mic because on Monday, Sunday, they shout hosana. He go to sleep. Can't you hear Jesus? Don't get deep. How would you feel if you went to work and they said, "Hey, girl, we love you. Hey, bro. We love you." Young people, twin, you him. You like that? Somebody shout Monday. Monday. Jesus walks into the temple. And he in the temple and they gambling in the temple. Jesus walks in the temple. They shooting dice in the temple. They playing cards in the temple. They pimping out the temple. And then Jesus, ain't nobody going to say amen for this and it's cool. Does what y'all would leave my church for doing. Jesus [Applause] flips over the table. Jesus says, "All right, you missed it. If the table is here, the definition of a true flip is to turn it upside down. He flipped the tables not because he was offended, but the church was in a gap between its function and its calling. Michael, how silly do I look preaching like this? Does it work? I'm going to ask you again. Does it work? Can I preach from it? Is this how it was designed? No. So you mean to tell me you comfortable in dysfunction? Some of you think because you functioning you healthy. Just because you can do it toxic don't mean you were called to do it toxic. Michael, no. He He says, "No, this ain't what I call this church to be." No. No. God don't flip what's working. He only flips what's in the way. I'mma say that again. God does not flip what's working. He only flips what was in the way. You don't even see the picture. Jesus gets to the temple. He ready to start preaching. He can't even get to the pull pit cuz his stuff in the way. Pastor Mike, I don't know why the last 6 months stuff just been flipping. Maybe God flipped your relationship upside down cuz it's in the way. I was doing good. Then out of nowhere they just fired me. Maybe he flipped your career. Cuz yes, you was making money, but what you have pales in the comparison to what you could have. And he knew you would never leave because you making more money than you ever made. But you making money now, that's going to be your tithe later. So he had to flip it. Y'all don't like me. He flipped it because there was a gap. Put this in your notes between the function and the calling. Jesus gets to the church and say, "Uh-uh, this ain't what I created it for. Uh-uh. This ain't what I called it for. Uh-uh. Y'all better than this." And this what I love about Jesus. He didn't pull him to the side. and have a conversation with him. You want to know why I love Jesus and why some of us never going to grow? It's because you always want your correction to be convenient. Michael Jesus said, "No, I'mma get you old school mama wherever you cut up [Applause] at." Look at this. Look at this. Can you put this in your notes? Sometimes disruption is deliverance in disguise. Did y'all hear what I just said? Sometimes disruption, Michael, is deliverance in disguise. God said what you thought was comfort was really a sale. So, I'm going to flip your life upside down. And you calling it chaos. I'm calling a jailbreak. [Applause] I'm preaching whether you receive it or not. Hear me when I say this. Why, PMJ? Cuz sometimes God flips stuff over in your life. Not because he's angry, but because it's out of alignment. He's not trying to destroy you. He's trying to deliver you. What looks like chaos is often correction. And what feels like punishment is actually positioning. So if he's overturning tables in your life, preach Mike, it's because you've been settling for convenience over consecration. You've been tolerating dysfunction instead of sacred space. You've turned your purpose into a performance. He said, "Mike, tell them I'm not flipping them to hurt them. I'm flipping them to heal them." Pastor Mike, he walks in church. I'm going to run flips over tables. Okay. Okay. Okay. Promise me you ain't going to act a fool. Okay. Let's make a deal. Say, PMJ, when you read this next scripture, I'm not going to act a fool. Unless it touch me. If it touch me, I'm the least I'mma do is get out my seat. Then after that, I am not in control of what happens next. Okay. The church is a place where people supposed to get delivered. Jesus shows up and can't get in cuz it's too many gambling tables. He flips Michael the tables over. Then verse 14 says, "The blind and the lame came to him in the temple and was healed. You're slow, but you're worth waiting on it. I'mma say it again. The church is where they supposed to get delivered. They can't get delivered because it's folk in the church doing everything but church. So God Oh. Oh. Oh my God. I didn't see that when I was preparing. D. Oh my God. Oh my God. I did not see that when I was studying. Nowhere in the scripture. Just Jesus just kick them out. When he flips the tables, it makes the people there make a decision. Either I'mma get right or I'mma get gone. I'm going to fix all your fake friends and relationship problems right here. On behalf of Pastor Mike, I am I want you to post this on your page. Hey, how you doing? I'm Pastor Mike Jr. I'm their pastor. and they didn't have the courage to kick you out their life. So, let this serve as a notice. This is me flipping tables in their life. You got seven days to get right or to get gone. I am not chasing nobody who don't want to be right in my life. I need you to touch somebody and shout, "Make a decision." Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to run. I felt that in my spirit right there. I felt that in my spirit right there. Some of y'all don't want to shout cuz you're sitting next to them. So, so just look over them and say, "This ain't about you. Trust me, this ain't about you." But tell them my next praise is because God's getting all the toxic stuff out my life. I don't know who I'm preaching to in here, but I wish I had 4,000 people who will praise God for the next 10 seconds that he's clearing my circle, that he's shifting my situation, that he's changing my friends, he's growing my family. I come with a prophetic announcement. The seven people in the room, after you survive the flipping. I don't know who this is for. Something is coming and it's not going to be something small. God said the reason I had to flip stuff is because I had to make ample room for what I was getting ready to bless you with. If you're waiting on a small breakthrough, you can be seated. If you're waiting on a small blessing, you can be seated. If you're waiting on a small check, you can be seated. But if you know something big is get ready to come your way, I need you to run over to somebody and tell them, "Make room. Make church me. [Music] Make room. That's the wrong somebody. Make room. I'm claustrophobic. You're a little too close. Make room. Tell him, "Don't worry, you ain't going to miss nothing. He going to send me so much. You going to be able to get some of my overflow. I don't know who I'm preaching to, but you ought to touch three people." And tell them, "Make room for more breakthrough. Make room for overflow. Make room for more joy. Make room for more peace. Make room for another location. Make room for another property. Make room for another degree. Somebody touch five people and tell them, "Make room. Make [Music] room. Sunday. Sunday. Sunday. Hosanna. Monday flipping tables. Tuesday they try to trap them. They come to Jesus say, "I got a question. You was walking down the street and you curse that fig tree. Who authority did you do it in?" They think they got him. They trying to trap him because if he answer wrong, it gives them rights to crucify him. They like, "Hey, uh, who I'm going to run authority did you do that in?" Verse 21, Jesus told them, go back. Jesus told them, I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain may you be lifted up and it will happen. Now look at this. They say, "Which authority I'm I'm trying to be dignified. Y'all going to make me have church by myself. You doing this?" Okay. And he tells them in verse 24, "I tell you by what authority I do see these things if you ask him my question first." Uhoh. Uhoh. Uhoh. Jesus, tell us what authority you do this in. Look at the scripture. He tells him right there. 24, I tell you what authority I do this in if you ask him my question first. Y'all missed it. What's the question? Verse 25. Did John's authority to baptize come from heaven or was it from human? They talked it over among themselves and they said, "If we say it's from heaven, he will ask us why we didn't believe John." I'm going to mess you up. They were trying to trap him because no matter what answer he gave, it would expose their hypocrisy. I need you to catch this. Sometimes God won't give people answers about you. He'll give them questions that they can't answer without exposing themselves. I'm going to run by myself today. No. So, no. No, no, no. See, that's why that's why God had you be nice to people who end up turning on you and being nasty to you. So now when they get in other circles with people who don't like you, it's hard for them to really tell the truth about you because the people who they now talking about you with saw you do what you did for them. So how they that bad when 6 weeks ago you was my friend. My friend. My friend. Michael, I got a word for seven of y'all. Stop trying to prove yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you. Authority isn't proven. It's revealed through wisdom, fruit, and faithfulness. Because there are some people who aren't looking for truth about you. They're only looking for a way to trap you. And the best way to silence manipulation is to not debate but discern. Come here. Who do men say that I am? Jesus knows who he is. I ain't asking you to tell me so I can know. I want to see if you know what the street saying and if you believe. Sunday, hosana. Monday, flip tables. Tuesday, check his haters. Wednesday, it's quiet. Wednesday. It's quiet. Wednesday. Hey, what's up? Something don't feel right. How we flip tables on Monday and check them on Tuesday and we don't see nobody on Wednesday. Some of y'all keep having nervous breakdowns cuz you think quietness is peace. Just because y'all ain't fussing don't mean y'all happy. Michael, [Applause] just because y'all ain't got into it don't mean they ain't plotting. Whenever your enemies or the devil goes quiet, it might be because they are plotting your demise. But when you ain't got spiritual discernment, you will relax mistaking quietness for peace. It's quiet. This what I can't take. I rather you cuss me out. I hope I don't go viral for saying that, but I just it came out before I thought it. I rather my enemies be posting about me than being quiet. Cuz what I've discovered in my life is whenever it gets quiet, I start feeling like I'm good. And when I start feeling like I'm good, I start moving like I'm untouchable. And when you start moving like you untouchable, you get touched. Michael, Sunday, hosana loud. Hosanna loud. Monday. Loud Tuesday who imagine loud Wednesday silence Thursday communion on Thursday Jesus is at the table with his disciples. You know it as the last supper. I'm Y'all sleeping here. Let me figure out if I got a church. No, look. Look what it says. Jesus breaks bread with people who will betray him, deny him, and abandon him. No. Stop being spiritual. Stop being spiritual. He had dinner with the disciples. When it get real, all of them leave. Here's a word that some of y'all ain't going to like, but it's real. Stop asking for next level favor. Cuz when you get next level favor, abandonment, betrayal, pain, heartache, and hurt come with it. You better stop being jealous of what you see people get. You don't know what it took for them to get what they got. I wish I had a thousand folk who done been to hell and back again who can shout, "Now you preaching to me." If I ever told my side of the story, you would start looking at other people different. If I ever told you what really happened, you would start looking at people different. I'm not preaching to people who spoil and cry over everything. I'm only preaching to five of y'all who got a real reason to crash out on your family, on your friends, on your ex, on your spouse, but you tried to keep it together, asking me why I don't come around. I chose to stay at home. Cuz every time I come outside, y'all play me like I'm some weak. And I'm trying to grow and be what God called me to be. But y'all really pushing your luck. But I'm trying to be faithful cuz I don't want to sacrifice my favor. [Applause] He's the alpha and omega. He's the beginning. I felt that in my spirit. And the end. Okay. Okay. I want you to look at this different. Stop looking at it wrong. If he's Jesus and God, he knows who at the table. Yet, he has the emotional intelligence to know which table to flip. [Applause] And which table to discern. The whole church should have been on their feet for that one. And you missed it. You want to know why you keep blocking your blessings? Cuz you flipping tables. You should have been discerning. And you comfortable at tables. You should have been flipping. I dare you to sit in here like I'm not preaching. There's six of y'all right there talking about I don't want to be lonely. I'd rather be by myself than at a table with people plotting on [Applause] me. Be careful who table you sit at cuz you might end up on the menu. [Applause] Jesus says, "I ain't flipping this table. I ain't got to flip it, bro. I ain't got to flip it." To me, he should have flipped this table because the folks in the church just nasty. They church folk. These the people who said they was going to ride with you. Jesus sits down and says, "Hey, um, yeah, one of y'all going to betray me." Judas got the audacity. Is it me? You ever had somebody call you and they really didn't want nothing? But now when you look back at it, they was fishing to see if you knew Who am I preaching to? Hey, I ain't want nothing. I'm just checking on you. No, I'm good. You good? No, you know I love you, right? I love you, too. No, I'm just, you know, we good. You know, no, regardless of what happened, just know I always got you. And you on the other end of the phone like, all right, cool. Like, is everything all right? No, everything good. You just know you just can't trust some of these people. But 6 months later, you're like, "Yeah, I see you. I see you." No. Jesus says, "No, it's going to be the one, Michael, who dips with me." He's at the table. And Jesus doesn't remove the wrong people from the table. Listen to your pastor. He revealed them. Why, Pastor Mike, can you put this in your notes? Because sometimes exposure is more powerful than exclusion. Michael, sometimes exposure is more powerful than exclusion. Pastor Mike, why you didn't just tell me who they were? Cuz had I told you, you would have made them a hero. Cuz you so used to being betrayed. You don't realize that you feeling sorry for people you should have kicked out your life. So discernment told me in order to save you, I got to let you figure it out for yourself. Put this in your notes. Discernment is knowing. We going to go. Discernment is knowing when to feed people and when to free them. I'm preaching good today. I'm preaching good today. Discernment is knowing when to feed them and when to free them. I'm going say this. Only seven of y'all going to catch it. your season of feeding the wrong people. I thought seven of y'all was gonna help me preach that. Your season of doing the impossible for the ungrateful. your season of not having all you could have so we can have only for them to do what's best for them instead of looking out for you. May the Lord watch between me and thee while we're absent one from another. Hear me. Monday. Sunday. Hosanna. Monday. Flipping over tables. No, you going to go home with a sermon today. You're not going to go home saying, "Oh, we had good church." And you don't know what he preached. You going to do it with me. Monday. Hosanna. T I'm sorry. Sunday. Monday. Tuesday. Do it. You better wake up. You going to learn your sermon today. This your Easter speech and you better learn it. What did you learn at church today? And today at Ros City, I learned that on Sunday, Hosanna on Monday, flip table. On Tuesday, he was checking people. On Wednesday, he was quiet. On Thursday, he was discerning people. But on Friday, on Friday, they crucify him. They beat him in the back with a cat of nine tails. The back I'm going to run represents your past. All perfect people can be quiet. Everybody who ain't ever sin can sit there and be cute. But if you got a past that you don't want to show up into your present, you ought to shout, "He healed my past." I'm in the wrong church. He was wounded for my transgressions. He was bruised for my iniquity. The chastisement of my peace was upon him, Michael. And by his stripes, his stripes by Oh, I going to have old school church by myself. his stripes, meaning everything that could he kill he kill you. Everything that makes you sick. Can you put this in your notes? Physical sickness ain't the only disease. Please put this in your notes. Spell disease. Cut it in half. Disase. Anything that is dissing my comfort is a disease. And what I feel like having church by myself does he say I need you to catch this. He says he takes it and cuz your past is being free. They put a crown of thorns Michael on his head symbolizing his sanity. I want to prophesy over seven of y'all up top that regardless of what jumps off in your life this year, you are not going to lose your mind. I don't know who been wrestling with anxiety, fear, doubt, and pressure. But I dare you to just lay hands on your own head and shout, "Doubt got to get out of my mind. Anxiety got to get out of my mind. Fear got to get out of my mind. Your neighbor need a little more strength. So just grab your neighbor's hand and I'm praying over your sanity. I'm praying over your peace that it got to get out of [Music] your thorns on his head. When they put the thorns on his head, they push it into his skull so much so that his head begins to bleed. blood don't run Mike begins to pour down his eyebrows. That is prophetic because in the book of Genesis when Adam makes a mistake, he tells him the ground is now cursed and the ground will give birth to thorns and everybody from this day forth will have to work by the sweat of their brow. But when the blood touched his brow, The curse was reversed. I don't know who I'm preaching to in here, but I just need five real praises to touch 10 people and shout, "It just reversed." That's the wrong somebody. You got to tell them it just reversed. Everything the devil been trying to do to me, every trick the devil been trying to block, I need you to shake somebody and tell them it's reversed. I think you sat next to an undercover hater. Reach over that hater and half another neighbor and tell your neighbor, say, "Neighbor, something just shifted in your life." That's the wrong neighbor. Find another neighbor. Say, "Neighbor, something just shifted in your life." He's getting ready to take you from not enough to more than enough. from a little bit to a whole lot. I wish I had 10 crazy people who are running and slap the alter five and something just shifted. Yes. I said yes. I said take your neighbor by the hand and say neighbor something just shifted. You sat next to the wrong neighbor. I said, "Take your neighbor by the hand and pull them on their feet and say, "Neighbor, I'm pulling you up cuz this is the last year that you're struggling like this. This is your last year fighting like this. Look at your neighbor and say neighbor. On Sunday they shouted hosana. On Monday he flipped over tables. Tuesday he had to check his haters. On Wednesday stuff got silent. On Thursday he had to have given. On Friday they hung him high, dressed him wide, hung his head for me. He died. But grab your neighbor and say neighbor. [Music] That's not how That's not how the story is. [Applause] Three. I think you sit next to the wrong neighbor. Scoot over to somebody else and say, "Later." Three days later, he got up. Not with a little power. Not with some power, but without power in his hand. I said it's in his hand. I said it's in his hand. Do me a favor and take your neighbor by both of their hands and shake your neighbor. You still ain't shook them right. I said shake your name. You still ain't shook them right. I said shake them and rock them. Rock them and shake them. Shake them and rock them. Rock them and shake them. Sh. [Music] Shake your neighbor and say, "Leave, whatever it is, God will." God [Music] [Applause] will. He died. I said, "Do you know he does?" He died until the centurion soldier said, [Music] "Surely Hallelujah. Hallelujah. [Applause] What you mean we're not? He told us we're coming back. It's a wrap, man. I saw them seal the tone. Ain't nothing we can do. We better go hide cuz they killed Jesus. They're going to kill us, too. Sunday. Hosanna. Monday, flip tables. Tuesday, check his haters. Wednesday, the enemy's plotting. Thursday, dinner with fake people. It's not that they fake. I want to fix that. They just didn't have the faith to withstand the test. Everybody who walk away from you ain't fake. Sometimes your assignment is just too much for them. Jesus Christ. Hear me. Friday, he crucified. Saturday, look at your pastor. Silence. But this one different. The first level of silence I had, he was with me. This time I'm sitting in silence. without Jesus, but early Sunday morning. Look at this. The angel shows up. Listen to your boy. Rolls the stone away. He go to part don't nobody preach. Then he sit on it. So, you never even knew that. You knew he rolled a stone away, baby girl. You didn't know he sat on it. Ask me why. Cuz had he rolled the stone away and left, the guard would have rolled it back. And then when Mary got there, she would have thought he was still in there. Yeah. So the angel said so much so go read your Bible that when the guard saw him he froze like he was dead. Takes out running. Then the angel looks and says to the women, "Don't be afraid. I'm going to run. I know you're looking for Jesus. Who was crucified? I wish I had my own version of the Bible right here. He ain't here. He is risen from the dead. Here's what I need you to go home with. Look at this. Just as he said it would happen. I don't know what promise God made you. I came to declare to you, it's going to happen exactly the way he said it. He says, "But just in case you don't believe me, wait. Come see where his body was. You so worried about people coming into your life from your past, ruining your life. Don't stress. You want to know why? Cuz when they come back this time, they're coming to where you were, not where you are. They nail his hands because his hands represent productivity. They nail his feet cuz they represent stability. Crown of thorns represent his sanity. They pierce him in his side and it shatters the sack that surrounds his heart. So much so that blood and water flow out. I say this every year and I pray you feel it every year. The last sign to know that you're anointed, to know that you're called by God, is when you have the ability to stand with a broken heart, fresh. And I don't know who I'm talking to today, but I came to tell you something. This ain't resuscitation. It's res resurrection. [Music] Can I say it again? This isn't resuscitation. It's resurrection. See, resuscitation is when you bring somebody back to life temporarily. Bro, Lazarus wasn't resurrected. He was resuscitated. Cuz he died again. Jesus was resurrected. Cuz once he was brought back, he ain't dying no more. I got to have church by myself. Listen to me. Listen to me. They didn't kill Jesus. You can't kill Jesus. He laid down his life. Resuscitation is about returning. Resurrection is about becoming. Resuscitation revives what was. Resurrection releases what's next. And I came to speak something over your life this morning. Your next is about to blow your mind. Can you take somebody by the hand all over this room? Everybody grabbing somebody. Take them by the hand all over this room. All over this room. All over this room. You may be here and you don't know Jesus. Can you get that for me? You may be here and you don't know Jesus. Listen to me. I don't care if Easter is the only Sunday you come to church. I don't care about that. I'm glad you came here. This this what we here for. What I'm telling you today is that today you can make a decision that will change your life forever. I only know how to be me. And that's because I'm free in Jesus. Every head bowed, every hand connected to somebody. If you're in this room falling in love with Jesus, falling in love with Jes. Falling in love with Jesus. I need [Music] the [Music] all I need thee. [Music] Every hour [Music] I bless me now my soul. [Music] Lord, if you're in this room right now watching online, and today is the day to make a decision, listen clearly to your pastor. You might already be saved, but you want a fresh start. People been asking me, "Why did you cut your hair? Why did you cut your hair?" In my head, I just felt like it was time for a fresh start. Last night at my prayer time, the Holy Spirit whispered in my ear. He said, "Michael, you had no idea. The same way people get baptized publicly to announce their loyalty to God, I was leading you to do something drastic to send a message to everybody who follows you that this is a season of fresh starts. And you may be listening to me right now all over this arena online all over the world. You may already be saved. You may already be called to preach, teach, but you need a fresh start. Bro, you can't walk out of here the way you came in. It's so much purpose on your life. Devil want to kill you so bad. I can literally just see demons and fake friends, jealousy and betrayal. I plead the blood over your life, man. With every tear, that ain't a sign of weakness. That's your spirit saying we can't keep going the way we going. And if you're in here today and you know in your heart, you know in your heart, I need a fresh start. Every head bowed, every eye closed. Just squeeze your neighbor's hand. Just squeeze your neighbor's hand. Today ain't about church membership. I'll find you a church. I just want you to hear well done. my good and faithful servant. If you had somebody squeeze your hand, can you lift that hand high as you can? Oh my God. Father, I pray over every hand lifted on their behalf. As the priest of this house, I repent. Oh God, on their behalf, God, I repent. Whatever we've done knowingly and unknowingly. For every time you called us and we didn't answer. For every time you told us to go left, but we went right. For every time you told us to pray, but we went to bed. For every time you told us to love them, but we chose to fight them. right now in the name of Jesus, we repent corporately. For every place we've fallen short, we repent. We repent publicly. For every place we fell short of the glory of God. for every lie, for every sin, for every wrongdoing, not just the sins of commission, but also the sins of omission. God, we thank you for dying for us. So right now, God, to the person online and the person on the room who's asking for a fresh start, we confess with our mouth, we believe with our heart that you were raised from the dead with all power in your hands. And right now by faith, we are saved. Can you celebrate God right there, church? Come on, man. Come on. Celebrate God right there, church. Come on. Somebody throw your hands up and just tell God thank you. Listen to me before you leave. I know everybody wants to run out of here. Let me say this to you before you leave. Today is a special day. Every year I challenge my church. Listen to your pastor. I want to challenge you today. I do not want you to go to bed without I'mma say that better with an alt in your spirit. If he laid down his life for you, you can lay down your offense for him. I want you to answer a very important question in here today. If you got something going on with a family member and it's just been rough, throw your hand up. If you and a parent ain't been seeing eye to eye, throw your hand up. You got a friend who you know in your heart God called y'all together, but stuff just been wild, throw your hand up. Listen to your pastor, if he can lay down his life, you can lay aside your pride. Stop. Hear me. So, I want to say this from the depths of my heart. Listen to me. If all we do is fill arenas, we ain't no difference than every concert that comes to this city. Who cares if 12,000 people came to church if did nobody leave transformed? I'm not raising an offering. I'm not here to get no money. I'm here to show the devil that there is a generation rising that will tell hell get back under thy feet that we are they that will turn this world upside down. Can you receive that? So that's your pastor's charge right there today. If he can lay down his life for you, you can lay aside your pride and do your part to fix something that's broken. Is that okay? Were you blessed today? Was this not the best Easter ever? Y'all resurrection ever? From my family to yours, we love you. We praying for each and every one of you. I want to pray a simple prayer and pray us out of here. You ready? Every hand lifted. You already know it. I'm going to pray to everybody watching all over the world. We can't wait to bring Rock City Church to all your cities this fall. It's going to be crazy. Houston, Detroit, wherever we going, it's going to be crazy. Are you ready? I want to pray a small prayer just over you and it's Lord your will nothing more nothing less nothing else it's in Jesus name and everybody said it amen we get ready to go we are I need to talk to you for a second just a quick second like five minutes okay
