You Are NOT lazy

If everything feels too fast right now, this is for you. You're not behind. You're not failing. You're just tired and still moving.

We don't always know why we're tired or why the effort isn't working, but we feel it. And sometimes it just asks for stillness, for rest instead of achieving, for allowing priorities to reorder naturally.

I live with a health condition I didn't know about for a long time. I tried pushing through many, many times, because it felt like the only option to succeed, until it stopped working. And I learned pushing never brought success nor peace. Now I try to focus on my process and try to stay open to contentment instead.

You know, some days going extra slow is the most honest pace we have, and it's enough, even if no one else understands it. The world rewards the fast ones. Or so it seems. But when you listen closely to the people you admire, you may hear something else. They say overnight success takes 10 years. So it took time, and sometimes a lot of it. Slowness was part of the becoming.

Some of the deepest change happens quietly, while nothing seems to be happening at all. In the silence, you might find energy, or focus, or new alignment could be revealing itself. It's good to listen to your body. It's your home in this world.

Allowing for silence can reveal that sometimes we don't need more. We might need less, much less. What if this wasn't a break from life, but life itself? What if separating silence from life made us vulnerable to running, pushing, thinking we'd fail if we stopped?

In the past, I felt like a failure for not pushing. And maybe you have, too. But if we explore this thought, is it true? So if you needed someone to say it today, I would love for you to go extra slow. To do small things if they please you, to create space by putting away your phone or taking a small walk. Hunt the sunshine that breaks through the trees or shines into your window.
