Let's understand why choose an MBA. If we broadly divide, there are just two kinds of aspirations in a student's mind or in everybody's mind. First, we want to become the CEO of the world's best companies. The second aspiration is about we want to create such companies. We want to become entrepreneurs or founders of such big companies, right? Whatever your aspiration is career-wise, it broadly divides into these two terms.
Let's understand about the first point first, which is about becoming a CEO of the world's best companies. You yourself must have seen different profiles, read about different, you know, top CEOs. You yourself must have seen that 80 to 90 percent of CEOs of such companies are actually MBAs. MBAs, sometimes from Indian colleges, sometimes from international universities like that. Because companies also prefer well-read people, because this is going to impact a lot of lives. These are very high-profile designations, and this is a business role, not like a tech role, not like a creative role. This is a business role. So, understanding of business is very, very important, and an MBA gives you an edge there.
But an MBA is not just about becoming eligible for a CEO profile in the future. This also helps you in navigating your current domain. Let's say you currently have five years of work experience, ten years of work experience, and you want to switch career lines. You want to switch from operations to finance, or maybe you are looking for something in marketing, or teaching to industry, like that. An MBA degree always comes handy. You know that if you navigate your career in this way, this becomes simplified. Recruiters are actually looking for an MBA degree in your CV.
If you have a gap year because of marriage, maybe exam preparation, then doing an MBA will put you back in an environment where you can start connecting with people again. You know, when you do an MBA, you start studying in that way. You start connecting with people like that, start building, rebuilding your career by getting the right kind of connections. This is also one of the advantages of getting an MBA.
Besides this, an MBA degree is not just going to elevate your professional persona, or I should say, professional world. You know, people actually carry it with a lot of pride in their personal lives as well. Many people showcase it on social media profiles. You get an edge in front of relatives, in front of your parents, that "the son is an MBA," "the daughter is an MBA." In front of marriage prospects too, I have seen people actually claim it proudly that you have a degree, a respected degree like an MBA. So, this is not just boosting your confidence in the professional world; it also boosts it in your personal life.
Now, you might remember, in the beginning, we talked about two aspirations: one about becoming a CEO, the second about hiring a CEO. I'm just kidding, it's about being into the entrepreneurship world. So let's understand about the second aspiration, which is about creating a company of your own. And does an MBA help you in this route as well? I won't say that you can't succeed. There are examples in which we have seen that many people do not have much school qualification. Sometimes they are dropouts too, and they have achieved great heights.
A successful entrepreneur, I am not an MBA myself, and yet now I have been an entrepreneur for 12 years. There are two ways to succeed. Either you hustle in a job. You have seen in shortcuts, sometimes people, that you know, you need to go back, get some hang of how the business looks like from inside, get some understanding about how the business works while working for it, and then come back into, you know, the entrepreneurship world. So, one is hustling when you hustle within the job. And the second hustling we have seen with dropouts. Or sometimes we have seen that they have started doing a lot of experiments, a lot of, you know, started building a lot of companies from a very young age.

During his interviews, we have also seen many times he has explained how, you know, his hustling was not with studies, but with his friends, he did various kinds of experiments, through which he got that hustling experience. So, hustling experience is necessary to actually succeed in this world. It is your choice whether you choose route number one or route two.
And route number one, when you take, which is for hustling in a job, then as we discussed earlier, for jobs, if you are looking for major business roles in your profile, then recruiters are actually looking for an MBA degree in your profile. So, to conclude, keep MBA experience above hustling experience. But to get that hustling experience, it is always recommended to get a degree like an MBA.
