Kindly kneel for our prayer to Jesus the divine word.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Jesus, divine word made flesh. From the beginning, you already were. Before even time began, you are Son and with the Father and the Holy Spirit, three persons, one God. But in the fullness of time, you who created man became man yourself. Through God, the Holy Spirit, and Mary, you became Jesus, divine Word made flesh. You came to our to our lives. You came to our world to save us and show us how to live and love here so we may live in love hereafter.

Dear Jesus, divine word incarnate. Please teach us to follow you. May our love for you always be made flesh, not ever lost in word or song alone. In prayer, we come face to face with you like you with the Father and the Holy Spirit. In love and service, may we likewise come face to face with our sisters and brothers, the least of the most of all. For as we treat each other, so do we treat you. In your name, we pray now always and in all ways. Amen.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Kindly be seated for a while. Greetings in Christ to all of you brothers and sisters and to those who join us in worship through this live stream at the diosis and shrine of Jesus the divine word in Christ the Mission Seminary, Hessen City. The church celebrates good sheeperd Sunday and the word day of prayer for vocation. Our mass procider is Reverend Father Jun Okampo SVD. Our eukaristic celebration will now begin. Please rise.

On the horse. Happy is I love I love The Somebody. Sister I love.

We are all gathered in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, our good shepherd, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And with your spirit.

La and a blessed Sunday morning to its present. Welcome also to all our viewers following us online. Our gospel today, this good shepherd Sunday gives us a fitting analogy of Jesus, our good shepherd. He said, "I am the gate to the sheep." He is the gate to the sheepfold and we are his sheep. So let each one of us now imagine yourself as you have entered through this door of this church because you have purposely decided to follow Jesus instead of going elsewhere or some other places. You have chosen to come here for the celebration of this holy mass. And here and now Jesus our good shepherd calls each one of us. Let us listen to his voice as he speaks to us through the readings and the gospel and as the priest breaks the good news to us in his homaly. And let us also receive him in holy communion. For as he said, I have come to give life abundantly. And so that we can receive God's blessings in abundance, let us first acknowledge our total unworthiness because our sins block the flow of God's graces into our souls and into our hearts. And so together we say,

I confess to Almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do. Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. I therefore ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

And may almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to eternal life. Amen.

Have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Christ have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy.

Glory to God in the highest. God.

Foreign Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Let us pray. Almighty everliving God, lead us to a share in the joys of heaven, so that the humble flock may reach where the brave shepherd has gone before, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Then Peter stood up with the 11, raised his voice, and proclaimed, "Let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified." Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and they asked Peter and the other apostles, "What are we to do, my brothers?" Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off. Whomever the Lord our God will call." He testified with many other arguments and was exerting them. Save yourselves from this corrupt generation. Those who accepted his message were baptized and about 3,000 persons were added that day.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

There is nothing. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Lord is my shall hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelu The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. In verdant pastures he gives me repose. Beside restful waters he leads me. He refreshes my soul. is my sheer. There is nothing I shall hallelujah. Hallelu. He guides me in right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk in the dark valley, I fear no evil, for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that give me courage. I shall walk. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Our shepher. Hallelujah. My sheer. Hallelujah. Lord is my sheer. There is nothing I want. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. my shepher. Hallelujah.

A reading from the first letter of St. Peter. Beloved, if you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God. For to this you have been called because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps. He committed no sin and no deceit was found in his mouth. When he was insulted, he returned no insult. When he suffered, he did not threaten. Instead, he handed himself over to the one who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed. For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

We rise to honor the Holy Gospel. Hallelu. Hallelu. Hallelu. I am the good shepherd says the Lord. I know my sheep and mine know me. Hallelu. Hallelu. Hallelu.

The Lord be with you. And with your spirit.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. John. Glory to you, Lord.

Jesus said to his disciples, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in me. In my father's house there are many dwelling places. Otherwise, how could I have told you that I was going to prepare a place for you? I am indeed going to prepare a place for you and then I shall go and truly be assured. Whoever does not enter the sheepfold through the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and murderer. The one who enters through the gate is shepherd of the sheep. The keeper opens the gate for him. The sheep hears his voice as he calls his own by name and leds them out. When he was brought out, those that are his, he walks in front of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice. They will not follow a stranger, such the one they will flee because they do not recognize a stranger's voice. When Jesus used this figure with them, they did not grasp what he was trying to tell them. He therefore said, "My solemn word is this. I am the sheep gate. All who came before me were thieves and murderers whom the sheep did not heed. I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and he will go in and out and find pastures. The thief comes only to steal the slaughter and destroy. I came that they might have life and have it to the full."

My dear friends, the gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

Come Holy Spirit bless this unworthy priest that I may share with humility and with the heart. And I pray for all of you who listen. Pray that this Lord the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. Come Holy Spirit come. Sisters and brothers, shepherds. How many here are shepherds? Parents are shepherds. Priests are shepherds. Government officials are shepherds. You who are older, shepherd the young. You who have more money, you shepherd others. So, how many here are shepherds? Please raise your hands. Yes. Uh, because you are heards. Sheirds. He is a difference. I like to go to that later on. There's one thing I realized this week. It's a very simple prayer. I would just like to share this with you and let the good shepherd speak to you. Please bow your heads. And all we need to do, whatever you're going through, this is my advice. Let this be your prayer. K Lord, whatever you're going through, Lord, just come closer to God and Lord, just hold on to God. Whoever you are right now, please whisper your name and let the Lord tell you and hold on. That's the shortest advice for all of us and this is something we should continue as you go through life. Don't stay away from the Lord too long, too far. No, just keep coming to the Lord. Lord, hold on to God no matter what. Your suffering, your sinful, whatever. wrong. Let's simplify it. Our journey is simply that come closer to God and hold on to God. Please advise now the person beside you Lord Lord.

So we are all shepherds. I remember a story on a boat there was this guy on a cell phone and after he used the cell phone he threw the cell phone to the sea and when asked why he said well in Japan we have many cell we may have many of those things there throw it away was an American laptop after use laptop he threw it to the sea Why? Well, in America, we have many of those. And there was a Filipino politician. Why did you do that? We have many of those in the Philippines. Good shepherd. Leaders must be good shepherd. Civil leaders, religious leaders, all those who have authority. We're reminded today, be good shepherds.

Sisters and brothers, what is a good shepherd? Well, let's make a little acronym. What is a good shepherd? As a good shepherd stays with the sheep presence who are not present you be present father your presence is very important angry presence Pres tough presence, sad presence, joyful presence. H a good shepherd helps the sheep. Help them. E a good shepherd exhorts you encourage the sheep. Parents do encourage the children or you put them down. Exhort them. Tell them the good points. Exhort them to be strong. Be a good shepherd. praise. You cannot really be a good shepherd if you don't listen to the shepherd. The shepherd po leadership if you are not in touch with God. So if you're failing, maybe it's time for you to really listen to God. H. A good shepherd is honest. Be honest to them. Don't short change people. Be honest. Well, for lack of a better word, I'd say a good shepherd is someone who elevates people. Don't put down people. Don't put down your children. Don't put down your workers. Don't put down the other members of your community. Don't elevate yourself to the point are a good shepherd respects others. To other people, even those lower than us, respect them. And finally, D, a good shepherd defends defends defends his sheep from harm. So are you a good shepherd? Would be good. Siguro, parents, think about that. Politicians and government officials, priests and religious leaders, do I stay with them my flock? Do I help my flock? Do I exhort my flock? Do I pray with? Do I pray for my flock? Am I honest to them? Do I elevate them? Do I respect them? And do I defend them? Then you are a good shepherd.

Bad shepherd. Let's make another acronym. Shepherd. S. The bad shepherd steals from the flock. or and your family is going hungry. Number two, age. A bad shepherd harms the sheep. You inflict harm. You inflict hurts on other people. That's not a good shepherd. E. A bad shepherd excludes selective Don't exclude people, include people instead. A bad shepherd H. Oh, sorry. Persecutes people. That's not a good shepherd. That's a bad shepherd. age. The bad shepherd humiliates people. You put them down. You destroy their confidence. You destroy their peace because you humiliate them. E a bad shepherd exploits. You get all the money, everything. You manipulate everything. R the bad shepherd rejects people. He welcomes material things. He rejects people. And finally T the bad shepherd is one who dominates. So are you a good shepherd or a bad shepherd? I speak to you meditating on all this. We who speak must really know what we are talking about and must really live what we are saying. Okay. So capid shepherd bak bak is it why is it called shepherd naman bak heaper? Is it because women are able to lead more? Maybe. But the S I would like to say the soul of being a shepherd is that of the heart. Maybe because women really have more heart because without the heart service is not complete. Some of us I will keep telling some of us do things like mercenaries. with a fee. May bay we should remain missionaries for free out of love for God. Service shepherd with a heart with service.

My dear brothers and sisters, please don't forget too that we are shepherds to one another. Father June was saying this breakfast. Yeah. Shepherd each other. I had an experience this week in a pilgrimage after the mass lunchtime. I stayed behind to pray. Malay dining room anyways I can make it. one male pilgrim for whatever reason he came looking for me. He told me later father thoughtful. He was a very quiet guy but I really appreciated that. This is a case of a good shepherd looking for the lost sheep. That's a beautiful exchange. And you know what? When we were walking down slowly, he said, "Father, I would like to make a good confession." Now, he looked for me. I ended up hearing his confession. This is the dynamics po. Be a sheep. Be a shepherd and be a shepherd to one another. Great shepherd. Forget greatness. You're just talking here of goodness. Just be good. That's all that the Lord ask of all of us. And my dear friends, let's continue then to be good shepherd. Oh, there's only one good shepherd by the way and that's the Lord. We we are all trying hard to be good to be good shepherd and that's okay. Keep trying. Today also the Lord tells us to pray for vocations. We need good priests, good religious leaders. Please pray for us. family community where you work. Keep praying for that please. And today I'd like to share with you especially for us religious leaders a simple prayer my ordination prayer which says you have called me oh lord not so much because of me but in spite of me not so much to become a somebody but to be a someone to you and to your people. Keep me, oh Lord, ever in your love. And please remember this as we pray to become good better shepherd. Don't forget Mama Mary. By the way, April 202. Yeah, there's the there was the one of our lady of Manawag. 100 years of the consecration, the centennial anniversary of our lady of Manawag. We have a mother. Manowag means the lady who calls. Tawag calling us all to become good and better shepherds. And please don't forget mapativid don't forget as shepherds the spirituality song of the svdi respect understanding compassion and love. Please bow your head and today you ask the lord Lord help me to respect people. Help me to understand people. Help me to be compassionate to people. And help me to love people. We end with that thought. We pray Sana to be tender with the young, to be compassionate with the aged, to be sympathetic with the striving, to be patient with the weary, to be forgiving of sinners. For in our lifetime we were and will be any of all of those. We too have been that and will be that in our lifetime. But today I invite you all to bow your head one more prayer. We have many issues. We have many problems. Please continue to pray. Jesus, I trust in you. Mama Mary, I love you. Jesus, I trust in you. Mama Mary, I love you. Jesus, I trust in you. Mama Mary, I love you. Amen. Amen.

Let us first profess our faith and together we proclaim.

I believe in God, one God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontious Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day, he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, and the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

For the prayers of the faithful. Let us pray to the Lord to send us shepherds after his own heart. With confidence we pray.

Lord, hear our prayer. Inspire in our religious, political and civil leaders a sense of responsibility, service and respect for the dignity of each person. May they put the good of the people over their personal interests. We pray.

Lord, hear our prayer. Have compassion on those who have wandered. Feed the hungry. Comfort the weary and bind up the brokenhearted. We pray.

Lord, hear our prayer. End thou your church with vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life who give themselves totally to the cost of the kingdom. We pray.

Lord, hear our prayer. Welcome into the eternal pasture of paradise the souls of our departed loved ones and grant that we may be with them at the end of our earthly pilgrimage. We pray.

Lord hear our prayer. Let us pray for the urgent concerns of our community and our personal intentions. We pray.

Lord, hear our prayer. Receive our petitions. Oh father, that we may continue our mission of building your kingdom so that when Jesus our chief shepherd appears, he shall receive the unfading crown of glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

For me. I know. God Christ people living God Hallelujah. And God says the What are your present now? might say The powerful living.

Pray now my dear friends that we in this our sacrifice may be made acceptable to God our almighty father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good and the good of all his holy church.

Grant we pray, O Lord, that we may always find delight in these pascal mysteries so that the renewed the renewal constantly at work within us may be the cause of our unending joy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right and just.

It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks, but in time especially above all to lord you yet more gloriously when Christ our Passover has been sacrificed. For with the old order destroyed, a universe cast down is renewed, and integrity of life is restored to us in Christ. Therefore, overcome with pascal joy, every land, every people exalts in your praise, and even the heavenly power with the angelic hosts, sing together the unending hymn of your glory as we all acclaim:

Silasana. Hosana. Hosana in the hosana. Hosana. Hosana. Hosana. Hosana. Hosana.

You are indeed holy, O Lord, the f of all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these gifts we pray by sending down your spirit upon them like the dwfall so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread and giving thanks, broke it, gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take this all of you and eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for you." In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice and once more giving thanks, gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take this all of you and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me."

Let us proclaim the mystery of faith. Tonight coming.

Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray that partaking the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember Lord your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity. Together with Leo our pope our bishop and all the clergy. Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep on the hope of the resurrection and all our faithful departed. Let us remember in a special way our loved ones who have died and all who have died in your mercy. Welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all. We pray with the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of God, the blessed Joseph, her spouse, the blessed apostles, the marters and saints who have pleased you throughout the ages. we may merit to be co-airs to eternal life. May praise and glorify you through your son Jesus Christ. Through him and with him and in him, oh God, almighty father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory, all glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

As brothers and sisters in the family of God, let us address ourselves to our one common father as Jesus taught us to pray.

What was the king? The father Son, Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil and grant us peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may always be free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior Jesus Christ.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever.

Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles, "Peace I leave you. My peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will. You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

And the peace of the Lord be with you always. And with your spirit.

Let us offer each other the sign of peace.

Peace be with you. Lord of yours, none of the The son of God for Not the son. Oh, God. for your you.

And behold our Lord Jesus Christ, our good shepherd, the lamb of God, who offered him his life for us that we may share his life eternal. Blessed are they who are called to the supper of the Lamb.

Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Kindly be seated and the ushers will guide you accordingly. For those in the balcony, please wait for our eukaristic ministers to approach you.

Act of spiritual communion. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most holy sacrament. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as you were already there and unite myself holy to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

For the peace he has. Announcements. Today on this 63rd World Day of Prayer for vocations, we reflect on Pope Leo I 14th's message that every vocation is a gift from God and that must be nurtured. We will hold a second collection to support our dascis and programs for those discerning the priesthood and religious life. Thank you for your prayers and your continued generosity. Inviting you all to the concert of Father Raul Kaga, the SVD singing priest on May 23rd at the Music Museum in Green Hills. Proceeds will go to the scholarship fund of our SVD seminarians and the SVD biblical apostlate. His artists are the hit makers Marco season, Nono Suniga, Raala, Lao Lozada and Yumi Capilli. For ticket inquiries, please call 0928-5191065. The mission canopy is open today from 8:30 to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy light snacks and drinks as you support our seminarians in their ongoing formation and miss missionary work. Support our future missionaries by purchasing religious items. Proceeds help the graduating class of Christ the King Mission Seminary as they prepare for their priesthood. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. Usa, we have received several concerns from our churchgoers, especially those attending the 9:30 a.m. mass regarding people entering the shrine while the mass is still ongoing. This causes destruction both to the faithful and to the priests. We humbly ask everyone to kindly refrain from entering the shrine until the mass has concluded. There is sufficient time between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. masses to allow for a smooth and orderly transition. Let us be considerate of one another as we gather in prayer. Thank you for your cooperation. Father Ronny Graosttomo, SVD shrine recctor.

Please rise for our prayer for vocation. Lord Jesus, good shepherd, you chose your apostles and sent them to preach the good news of salvation to the ends of the earth. Give your church more servant leaders who will faithfully serve as priests and consecrated men and women that your flock may be built in faith, hope, and love. Make the seed of vacation grow in the hearts of our young people as they discern your plan for them. Give them the courage to embrace your will. Give them the grace of perseverance and wisdom in the face of hardships and sacrifices. Reveal to their parents the beauty of offering their sons and daughters as gifts for the service of the church. Grant bountiful blessing to their family for their generosity. Make the Christian community our partner and bestowed on them a deep love and dedication for vocation, animation and support. All this we ask in your name. Amen. Mary, model and mother of vacation, pray for us.

Let us pray. Look upon your flock, kind shepherd, and be pleased to settle in eternal pastures the sheep you have redeemed by the precious blood of your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

And the Lord be with you. And with your spirit. May the blessing of Almighty, ever merciful and loving God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit come down upon you, remain with you and accompany you wherever you go. Amen.

And uh, as you go, wherever you go, follow the good shepherd. Capit Lord in whatever situation you will be in and be good shepherd to each one. Thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Hallelu as he said. Hallelujah. Pray for us to God. Hallelujah. Virgin Mary. Hallelu. Because the Lord is truly. Thank you very much.
