There is a hidden side to narcissistic abuse that a lot of experts on narcissism overlook. It's something your gut senses clearly, even if your mind wants to ignore it. You feel uneasy, uncomfortable, as though something is deeply wrong—not with you, but with them—and you can't explain why. What's going on? Narcissists aren't just troubled or difficult people. Behind their normal appearance is something truly disturbing, something beyond ordinary human understanding.
And I have talked about it so many times. I'm Danish, and as someone who helps survivors of narcissistic abuse every day, I have heard countless stories of experiences that do not make sense logically. Today, I am going to reveal seven clear paranormal signs that show you're not dealing with a human in a narcissist, but you're dealing with a demonic spirit. These signs tell you, without a doubt, that you're facing a presence that is spiritually dark and really dangerous. So stay until the very end.
Number one: The rotten smell beneath the cologne. No matter how carefully groomed or impeccably presented a narcissist is, there's always a subtle but revolting odor lurking beneath their outward appearance. It manifests as fleeting hints of decay, something disturbingly organic, like decomposing matter or damp mold. You may encounter it unexpectedly, perhaps when they lean closer or brush past you. It's not strong enough for others to detect easily, yet it is so sharp and nauseating that it unsettles your stomach. You feel nauseous. You may find yourself repeatedly questioning your senses—what's wrong with my nose?—but your intuition is clear: this scent is spiritual decay, the rotting of a corrupted soul that seeps through despite their extravagant efforts to mask it.
Number two: Animals react to them with fear and agitation. Please pay close attention to how animals respond around narcissists. Dogs who usually greet everyone enthusiastically suddenly become skittish, aggressive, or withdrawn. They may whimper incessantly or cower away, tail tucked firmly between their legs. Cats may hiss fiercely, their fur bristling in defense, as they retreat or glare, refusing to relax. I mean, can you believe this? Even smaller animals, such as rodents or reptiles, show signs of distress around them, becoming really restless or aggressive. You see, animals sense vibrations and spiritual energies better than human beings. Their unusual reactions aren't random but clear signs of their instincts detecting a sinister presence radiating from the narcissist. Now, you have animals that do like narcissists, and that is just an exception. Not every narcissist is as rotten as I am describing right now, so just because you see your dog or they have a cat and they don't have any of these problems does not mean they do not have the evil within them, within their bodies and souls that I'm talking about.
Number three: Frequent and unexplainable electronic malfunctions. Have you ever noticed how electronics malfunction all of a sudden? The fan isn't running; the TV starts glitching; lights flicker erratically, or bulbs blow out with alarming frequency. Your previously reliable phone may suddenly freeze, restart without warning, or rapidly drain its battery despite being fully charged. Computers behave strangely; screens flicker, or applications crash unexpectedly. It's like everything shuts down. Why? Because it is the demonic energy interfering with the electronic and electric signals. These occurrences are not coincidental. Negative spiritual entities possess the ability to manipulate electric frequencies and energy fields. When these disruptions consistently align with the narcissist's presence, it is a powerful indication that an evil spiritual force is at play. Now, we could blame it on other things—"Oh, it's malfunctioning," the electronic or electric system—but I can't deny it. I have heard it from so many people. In the beginning, I blamed it on, you know, maybe it was a wire, it was the television's fault, maybe it was too old. But then, when the same thing was told to me and shared with me by different people, I had to believe it. There has to be a common denominator, and it is what I'm sharing with you. I have my personal experiences with narcissists being associated with demonic forces, so I'm really convinced that there is something different at play.
Number four: You may relate to this a lot. Vivid nightmares and disturbing visions. Being emotionally and spiritually connected to a narcissist often triggers intense and distressing dreams. These dreams aren't ordinary, stress-induced nightmares; they're vividly real, filled with oppressive darkness, shadowy figures, and unsettling scenarios. You may repeatedly dream of being chased by unseen predators, trapped in suffocating environments, or desperately attempting to escape an invisible, malignant observer. Upon awakening, these dreams leave a heavy residue of fear and anxiety that lingers throughout your day. It doesn't go away. They aren't random; they are symbolic messages from your subconscious, urgent warnings trying to communicate the hidden spiritual threat that your conscious mind may not yet fully recognize, process, and understand. Sleep paralysis is a major part of all of this. When I was living in my narcissistic family, I used to have these sleep paralysis episodes every single night. I have talked about it a lot in other episodes, but back then, I did not know what was going on, what was happening to me, and I would be terrified of sleeping. People would rush to their bed, but I would run away and spend as much time awake as possible. I did not know. But then, when I left, it stopped all of a sudden. Psychological things do not get better without intervention, without any kind of healing, but this shifted, and I have not had a sleep paralysis episode for years now.
Number five: Sudden unexplained physical illness. Physical reactions around narcissists can be profound and disturbing, related to stress. You may suddenly experience unexplained symptoms: intense nausea, debilitating headaches, dizziness, chills, or overwhelming fatigue. Often, a strange heaviness or tightness presses on your chest, making breathing feel difficult. These sensations appear abruptly when the narcissist is close and vanish almost instantly once they leave. Initially, it is tempting to dismiss these symptoms as mere stress or anxiety, but they represent your body's profound spiritual sensitivity. These reactions, as an empath, are your internal alarm system activated by your soul recognizing the toxic and invasive spiritual energy emanating from the narcissist.
Number six: Unexplained temperature shift. Another very clear sign that something strange is happening is when the temperature around you changes suddenly and dramatically whenever the narcissist is nearby. You may notice the room feeling much colder out of nowhere, even though the weather outside is warm and there is no reason for a chill. Or sometimes, you may feel suddenly overheated, as if a wave of heat has just passed through the space without explanation. These changes in temperature are not because of the air conditioning; no, it's not about heating systems or weather conditions. They happen because your environment is reacting directly to the negative, harmful energy coming from the narcissist. It is as if the dark presence disturbs the natural balance around you, creating a discomfort you can physically feel. This isn't imagination; don't blame it on your thoughts, or it's not coincidence. It's a clear sign of spiritual trouble.
Number seven, and the last one: Mysterious shadows and movement. You may also begin to notice strange movements around you. These movements aren't obvious, but they happen just at the edge of your vision, like quick shadows moving rapidly out of view. They disappear as soon as you try to look directly at them, leaving you unsure if they were even real. What I'm sharing with you is my personal experience. At other times, you may sense someone standing closely behind you, feeling that presence strongly enough to give you chills or make your skin crawl, but when you turn around, no one is there. These experiences may make you feel you have psychosis or just anxiety, but it's not that; they are not just your imagination or random tricks your eyes are playing on you. They are real signs of spiritual disturbances caused by the demonic energy of the narcissist. These shadows and movements are glimpses into the hidden truth, the sinister, harmful presence that the narcissist carries inside.
These paranormal experiences aren't your imagination or exaggerations; they are genuine spiritual warnings, powerful signals designed to alert and protect you. Your intuition is not deceiving you; it is urgently attempting to protect your well-being from a deeply harmful demonic entity disguised as a human being. Acknowledging these signs, taking them seriously, trusting your instincts, and reclaiming your spiritual power is the key.
