Hey guys, I'm T, and welcome to the channel! If you're new here, we make trending, fun crochet tutorials twice a week. And if you haven't already, smash that like button, drop a comment below, and subscribe to join in on the fun!
Here's a super cute hoodie I've been working on. It has that fitted, loose thing I've been loving lately, super long cuffs, which I haven't done in a minute, so that's fun. And there's a different drawstring on the hood, so we can add that to our ever-growing toolkit. Speaking of, if you like learning new crochet tips and tricks, do me a huge favor and give this video a thumbs up, and be sure to subscribe to join the fam. If you have already, thanks, you're awesome! But be sure to click that bell so you know as soon as there's something posted.
Now, it's time to get on with the show. So, without further ado, for this project, any category 4 yarn will work, but I use a total of 625 grams of yarn. That's 850 yards if you're stateside. As with most, a 5.5 millimeter hook, scissors, stitch markers, tape measure, and a tapestry needle. There is a written pattern down below. Use offer code TCDIY for a discount off any $9.99 plus order. Watch to the end of the video to learn how to enter this week's giveaway. Using three stitches for this project will be his fault: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. This tutorial is for size small, but you can adjust it for your size, and we explain how to in the video. So, let's get started.
Getting this top started, we are first going to grab our category 4 yarn and make a slip knot. Next, we're going to grab our 5.5 millimeter hook and start off by making a chain from our underarm down to underneath our bust. I'm going to make a chain that's 4 inches or 10 centimeters, and it's a chain of 15. Now that we have our chain, we're going to block off that last chain to a chain of one into that chain that we blocked off for the second chain from our hook. Insert with a single crochet. So, insert, pull through, yarn over, pull through two. Let's do one more. Insert into that next chain, pull through, yarn over, pull through two. Continue to put one single crochet into every chain, leaving the last one so we can increase together.
Now that we've put one single crochet into every chain, into that last chain, we're going to do an increase. So, two single crochets into there. Insert your hook with one, and then into that last chain again with our second single crochet. Do a chain one, that counts as our turning chain. Flip our work. Now we're going to do back loop single crochets, and along this end, we're always going to do an increase. So, inserting our hook into that first stitch's back loop, insert with one, and then insert with our second single crochet. From here, pull one back loop single crochet into every stitch. Make my way all the way down.
And now that we're at the end of our row number two, we're going to repeat. So, chain one, flip our work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch while maintaining an increase into that last stitch. Once we do our increase, to a chain one, flip our work, start with an increase of two back loop single crochets, and continue to put one back loop single crochet into every stitch, making our way back down. We're going to repeat those two rows until we all have a total of five underarm rows. Then I will make you guys back.
All right, so I am back, and I've just finished up going in with my five rows. We should have all ended on the increase side. And from here, we're going to make a chain that reaches all the way up to our shoulder. So, I have already measured mine, and I'm going to make a chain of 7 inches or 18 centimeters, and that's going to be a chain of 23. Now that I have my chain, I'm going to block off my chain to a chain of one. That's our turning chain. And into that chain that I blocked off, I'm going to insert my hook with a single crochet. I'm going to continue to put one single crochet into every chain, and I'll meet you back when you reach the body portion.
When we've put one single crochet into every chain and we've reached our body, now I'm going to continue to put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. So, just to do the first one, we're going to insert your hook into that first back loop and a single crochet. And we are going to continue to put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. When you reach the end, we're going to do a chain of one, flip our work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch again. We're going to keep going back and forth until the shoulder portion that we're making reaches the base of our neck. And this is going to be where the width of our piece comes from. So, go ahead and make this portion as wide as you would like. I'll meet you guys back once when I have mine all finished up to let you guys know how many rows I have, and I'll meet you guys back along the bottom.
So, I've just finished my shoulder portion, and I now have a total of 26 rows. My base is 6 inches or 15 centimeters wide. And from here, we're going to start working on our next scoop. I've inserted my stitch marker into the 10th stitch from the top, and that's 2 and a half inches or 6 centimeters, and this is where I want my next scoop to start. So, since we all should have ended along the bottom, we're going to do a chain one, flip our work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch until we reach our stitch marker.
Right, so I put one back loop single crochet into every stitch and one stitch right before my stitch marker. All we're going to do now is do a chain one, flip our work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. And we're going to keep working rows back and forth with no increases and no decreases until this reaches the other side of the base of your neck. And I'll meet you guys back along the top.
I've just finished my next scoop, and I now have a total of 45 rows, and my base is a total of 10 inches and 25 centimeters. You should have all ended along the top. And from here, we're going to make another shoulder portion. So, since I skipped a total of 10 stitches over here on this side, I'm going to make a total of 10 chains. Once when I have my chain, I'm going to block off that last chain, do a chain of one. Into that chain that we blocked off, or the second chain from our hook, I'm going to insert with a single crochet. And then from here, single crochet all the way down our chain. When we reach the body, put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. When we reach the end of our row, do a chain one, flip our work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. Now we're going to keep working back and forth like that until we have the same amount of shoulder rows as we have on this side. And then I will meet you guys back so we can do our underarm portion together.
My shoulder portion is now all finished, and now I have a total of 66 rows. My base is 15 inches or 28 centimeters. And now we're going to work on the same underarm portion that we have over here. The first thing we're going to do is take the same amount of chains that we made on this side, count down the same amount of stitches, and then insert our stitch marker. So, on this side, I did a total of 23 chains. So, I counted down 23 and inserted my stitch marker into the 23rd stitch. Since we all should have ended along the bottom, I'm going to do one back loop single crochet until we are two stitches right before my stitch marker. And now, two stitches right before my stitch marker. So, I'm going to insert my hook into that second to last back loop, yarn over, pull through that loop, and also into that last back loop, yarn over, pull through. We should have three loops on our hook. From here, we're going to yarn over, pull through all three, and that is how we do our decrease of two back loop single crochets. We're going to be doing a decrease into every row along the top. So, from here, chain one and flip your work, and start with a decrease of two back loop single crochets again. So, into that first back loop, insert your hook, yarn over, pull through. Into that next back loop, insert your hook, yarn over, pull through. Yarn over, pull through all three. Continue to put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. We make our way down to the bottom. Do a chain one, flip your work, and put one back loop single crochet into every stitch while maintaining the decrease along the top. We're going to keep doing this until we have a total of five rows, and we're doing five because we have a total of five underarm rows right here. Do a chain of one and cut.
When we have that finished, and then I'll meet you guys back. My front panel is now all finished. I have a total of 71 rows, and my base is 16 inches or 41 centimeters. I did do a chain up one and cut. And now we're going to get started on the back. The back is going to be done the same way we started off the front panel. So, do the same chain for our underarm, do the same amount of rows, and then I'll meet you guys back.
All right, so I am back. My underarm portion to get started on the back panel, we're going to make the same chain that we made for our shoulder portion over here. So, if you guys have my numbers, I made a total of 23 chains. And then from there, in this first row, all the way down to the slash shoulder row, we're going to do rows of back loop single crochets all the way across with no increases and no decreases. So, I'll meet you guys back when we have the entirety of the back panel finished, and I'll talk you guys how to go through the underarm.
I made my way all the way across with my back panel, and now we're going to close off with our underarm. It's going to be done the same exact way we did the front panel. So, I'm just going to talk you guys through it really quickly. We're going to start by inserting our stitch marker into the same amount of chains that we made on this side. So, if you guys have my numbers, I did a total of 23 chains along this side. I counted down 23 stitches and inserted my stitch marker. And then we're going to single crochet all the way up to a decrease into the two stitches right before my stitch marker. Flip my work, and then decrease again. We're going to keep repeating that until we have the same amount of underarm rows as this side. Do a chain of one and cut.
And I'll meet you guys back. I've just finished the entirety of my back panel and my underarm portion. I did do a chain up one and cut. And now we're going to seam our sides. So, placing our front panel over our back panel, I'm going to insert our hook into the bottom corner stitch of both the front and the back panel. I'm going to insert my yarn onto my hook and pull through both of those loops. Do a chain number one to secure. And now we're going to single crochet into both the front and back panel at the same time. So, into that next stitch into the front panel, insert your hook. Into the next stitch we have into the back panel, insert your hook. And then we're going to single crochet like usual. Let's do one more. Into the next stitch into the front, next stitch into the back, there we go, and single crochet. We're going to keep doing this, making our way all the way up. We don't have any more stitches left. Do a chain up, but want to cut, and then we'll seam our shoulders together.
We've just finished seaming our side. And now we're going to seam our shoulder. So, into the corner stitch of the front panel and corner stitch of the back panel, going to insert our hook, insert our yarn onto our hook, and pull through everything. Do a chain up of one. And from here, we're going to single crochet, making sure we're going in both the front and back panel at the same time. We're going to need to insert our hook into the same side row that we have along both panels. Let's get that started. This is my first side row right here. I'm going to insert my hook into that top loop, and then insert my hook into that top loop of the first side row we have for our back panel. Insert your hook and single crochet. My next side row that I have is this divot right here. So, I'm going to insert my hook into that top loop, and then into the back panel. My next side row is the second one right here. I'm going to find that top loop and a single crochet. Let's do this one more time. This is my next side row. Insert your hook. And this is my next side row along the back panel. I'm going to insert my hook and then single crochet them together. We're going to keep doing this until we don't have any more rows left to find. Two into the front panel, do a chain of pull on a cut, and then do the same thing that we did here on the other side.
Now that we've finished seaming our sides and our shoulders, we're now going to get started on our bottom band. So, we're going to start by making sure that our work is first flipped right side out. And then we're going to insert our hook into any one of our bottom stitches. And from here, we're going to single crochet. We're going to put one single crochet into every other side single crochet row. So, let's get that started. I'm going to insert my hook into my first side single crochet row, which is this divot right here. So, I'm going to insert my hook into there and single crochet. I'm going to skip my next side single crochet row, which is this raised row, and then find the top loop into my next divot row and then single crochet. I'm going to keep doing this, making my way all the way around. Slip stitch into that chain one space.
I've just finished single crocheting along the bottom of my piece. And now we're going to make a chain the length that we want our bottom band to be. We're on to be about 6 inches or 15 centimeters. So, I'm going to make a chain of 23. Now that I have my chain, I'm going to block off my last chain to a chain up of three. This counts as our turning chain. And from here, we're going to yarn over, insert our hook into that chain that we blocked off, or the fourth chain from our hook, with a double crochet. So, insert your hook, yarn over, pull through. That loop should have three loops on our hook now. So, yarn over, pull through two, yarn over, pull through two. Let's do one more double crochet together. Yarn over, insert your hook into that next chain, pull through, pull through two, pull through two. Continue to put one double crochet into every chain.
Now that we've done a double crochet into every chain, we're now going to slip stitch it into the base. So, making sure that our work is still flipped right side out, we're going to insert our hook clockwise. So, we're going to count up one, count up two, slip stitch into that second stitch into the base. And now our row number one is connected. And to work our way to the next row, which is a back loop slip stitch row, we're only going to slip stitch up one stitch into the base. We're going to flip our work and start with our back loop slip stitch row. So, insert your hook into that first available stitch's back loop. We're going to yarn over and pull through everything on our hook. So, yarn over, pull through one, pull through two. Into that next back loop, yarn over, pull through one, pull through two. We're going to continue to put one back loop slip stitch into every stitch until we reach the end of this row.
Now that we're at the end of our row, we're going to switch back to a double crochet row, but now it's going to be in through the back loops. So, start with a chain three, flip our work. We're going to yarn over, insert your hook into that first available stitch's back loop with a double crochet, and continue to put one back loop double crochet into every stitch. Connect it into the base the same way that we just did. Do your back loop slip stitch row, and then repeat. I'll meet you guys back when we don't have any more stitches left so that we can seam our bottom band together.
We have just made our way all the way around with our bottom band, and we're now going to seam it together. The first thing we're going to do is make sure that our work is flipped right side out so that we see all the ribbing. And now we're going to do an outside loop slip stitch seam. So, inserting your hook into that first available stitch's front loop, or the loop that's closest to you, go ahead and insert your hook into there. And then into the next available stitch into the back panel, insert your hook into that back loop, or the loop that's furthest away from you. Now I'm going to yarn over and pull through everything on our hook. Let's do this again. Into that next stitch into the front panel, insert your hook. Into that front loop. And then into the next stitch into the back panel, insert your hook into that back loop. And slip stitch. Continue to do this, making your way all the way down. We don't have any more stitches left. Do a chain of one, cut.
All right, we have just finished seaming our bottom, and we're now ready to get started on our next scoop. So, the first thing we're going to do is insert our hook into the stitch that's nearest to our shoulder seam. Insert your yarn onto your hook, pull through, do a chain of one to secure. And from here, I'm going to work my way down towards the next scoop. So, I'm going to start with putting one single crochet into every stitch. So, insert your hook into that first stitch, place one into that next stitch with another one. I'll meet you guys back at the scoop portion.
And now that we're at our scoop portion, we're going to put one single crochet into every side row. So, let's get the first few started. The first side row that I have is this raised side single crochet row. So, I'm going to find that top loop, insert my hook into there with one single crochet. My next side row is this divot, so I'm going to find that top loop, insert my hook with another single crochet. Let's do this again. This is my next side single, so I'll find that top loop, single crochet. This is my next, find that top loop, and single. You're going to keep doing this, making our way all the way up. Slip stitch into that chain one space. Then I'll meet you guys back.
We've just finished single crocheting along the entirety of our knuckle. And now we're going to do a front post single crochet row. So, from here, we're going to do a chain one and flip our work, making sure that we're all working counterclockwise. So, we're going to find our first single crochet from our previous row, and instead of just inserting our hook in through that top loop, we're going to insert our hook around the body of that single crochet. So, into the top loop and then bring it through the other, and this is the body of that single crochet. So, let's do that again. Let's find the first one. This is my first one. I'm going to insert behind that single crochet and then single crochet per usual, just like that. Let's do another one. This is my next single crochet stitch, so I'm going to insert my hook into that next stitch and then through that next stitch, making sure that our single crochet body is on top of our hook, and then single crochet. And that is pretty much that. We are going to keep doing a front post single crochet into every stitch, making our way all the way around. Slip stitch into that chain one's face. And then I'll meet you guys back.
All right, so we just finished up going in with our second row for our knuckle. We did do a chain up of one and cut. Now we're going to get started on our hood. So, the first thing I'm going to do is find the two stitches that we have that's in the middle of our collar. You should have two middle stitches. And we're going to count out three stitches and then insert our next stitch markers. So, counting one, two, three, I insert it on this side. And same thing over here, counting one, two, three. To get started on our first row, we're going to insert our hook into that left stitch marker. Insert your yarn onto your hook, pull through. And we're going to start with a chain of three. Now, only for this first row, this is going to count as our first stitch. And we're going to start by doing a total of six double crochets and then an increase of two into the seventh. So, here's one. Let's do another double crochet into that next stitch. There's two, three, four, five, and six. Now that we have our six double crochets, remembering for this first row only, we're counting that chain three. We're going to do an increase of two into that seventh. So, here is one and two double crochets into that seventh stitch. And we're going to repeat this. So, do another set of six double crochets, increase into the seventh, six double crochets, increase into the seventh. And we're going to keep repeating this all the way down until we hit our outside stitch marker. And I'll meet you guys back.
We just finished up our first row for our hood. And now we're going to do our second. This is going to be done similarly to how our bottom band is done. So, we're going to do a back loop slip stitch row. Do a chain one and flip your work. For our slip stitch rows, we're not going to be doing any increases. So, just put one back loop slip stitch into every stitch. So, into that first back loop, insert your hook, yarn over, pull through. To that next back loop, insert and pull through. We're going to keep doing this until we reach the end of our row. When we reach the end of this row, do a chain three, flip our work, and we are still going to do our six double crochet and increase into the seventh all the way down that row. And then a slip stitch row after that. We're going to keep repeating those two rows until this becomes a width that can fit around our head. I'll meet you guys back once then I have the width that I want to let you guys know how many rows I have and what we're going to do after that.
All right, so I am back. I have just finished up going in with my rows where we did an increase into every seventh stitch into our double crochet rows. And now I have a total of one, two, three, four, five, six rows. I ended on a slip stitch row, and this is just as wide as I need my hood to be. So, from here, I'm just gonna do rows of back with double crochets and back loop slip stitches working all the way up until we reach the crown of our head. I'll meet you guys back to show you guys what to do after that and to let you guys know how many rows I have.
I just finished the height of my hood. I have a total of 27 rows, and this is 14 and a half inches or 37 centimeters. From here, we're going to seam our hood, and then we're going to work on the front detail. So, what we're going to do is sandwich our two corners together. We're going to make sure that our hood is still flipped right side out. I'm going to insert my hook into the corner stitch of the front panel and into the corner stitch of the back panel, which is my working yarn, and I'm going to pull through. From here, we're going to do a chain one to secure. And into that first available stitch, we're going to insert our hook only in through that front loop. Into that next available stitch into the back panel, only insert your hook into that back loop. Yarn over, pull through everything. Let's do this again. Into that next stitch into the front panel, insert your hook. Next stitch into the back panel, insert your hook into that back loop. Yarn over and pull through everything. Continue to do this, make my way all the way down. We don't have any more stitches left. Do a chain up of one and cut.
Now that we have seamed our hood, we're now going to start working on the brim for our hood. So, what we're going to do is start off by inserting our hook into the stitch that is right next to our hood, working into the collar. I'm going to insert our yarn onto our hook, pull through, do a chain up of one. And from here, we're going to single crochet along the edge of our hood. So, we're going to put two single crochets into every side double crochet. So, into that first row, insert your hook with one, and then into that same side loop with two single crochets. Into our side slip stitch row, there's going to be a stitch along the outside. We're going to put one single crochet into there as well. So, find that loop and single crochet. Let's do this again. Into that next side double crochet, insert with two single crochets. So, there's one, and then there's two. And then into this next side slip stitch row, insert your hook into that outside loop with a single crochet. I'm going to keep doing this, making our way all the way around. We don't have any more stitches left to go into. Slip stitch into that next stitch into the collar. Do a chain if you want to cut. And then I'll meet you guys back.
Now that we have finished single crocheting around our hood, we're now going to work on the brim. So, what we're going to do is work it separately. We're all going to start off by making a chain of five. Once we have our chain of five, we're going to block off that last chain, do a chain of one, and then into that chain that we blocked off, or the second chain from our hook, we're going to insert with a single crochet. And from here, we're going to put one single crochet into every chain. Now that we put one single crochet into every chain, we're going to chain one, flip our work, and put one single crochet into every back loop. And we're going to continue to put one back loop single crochet into every stitch. When we reach the end, do a chain one, flip our work, and continue to put one single crochet into every back loop. We're going to keep doing that until we have the same amount of rows as single crochets that we have on the outside of our hook. So, if you guys have my numbers, I have a total of 113 stitches. So, I'll meet you guys back when I have 113 rows.
All right, I am back with my brick. Right before we connect it to our hood, we're going to need to sandwich it so that it looks like a tube. So, what we're going to do is take our brim and we're going to fold it in half lengthwise. And then we're going to single crochet both ends together. Since my hook is already into this corner, we're going to find the corner stitch into the other end, yarn over, and pull through everything. I'm going to find that first side row, which is this one right here, into the front panel. Find that same side row into the back panel, which is this one right here, and then I'm going to single crochet. Let's do the next one. This is my next side row, so I'm going to find that loop. Then this is my next side row right here, find that loop, and single crochet. We're going to keep single crocheting just like this, making sure that our brim is being folded into itself until we don't have any more stitches left. That leads you guys back.
I've just finished closing up the brim of our hood. And now we're going to attach it. So, we're going to start by inserting our hook, since it's still attached, into the first single crochet that we have into the edge of our hook. And here we're going to yarn over and pull through everything. We're going to want to make sure that we have our hood face right side out. And we're going to place our brim along the outside of our hood because once we wear it, it's going to be flipped inside like this, so that the seam is along the inside. And now we're going to single crochet both panels together. So, start by inserting your hook into that first stitch into the front panel, and then into the first stitch into the back panel, and then we're going to single crochet. And then, just as a refresher, once when we flip it over, the seam is on the inside. But let's do the next one. Insert your hook into the next stitch into the front, next stitch into the back, and single crochet. We're going to keep doing this, making our way all the way around. And once we reach this point, I'll meet you as back so I can show you guys how we're going to connect this bottom knit.
So, now that we have attached our brim to our hood, we now need to attach the bottom to the collar. So, this is going to be done pretty much the same way. What we're first going to do is just flip the edge of our collar inside out so that this can be along the inside as well. I'm going to take out these stitch markers because we don't need them anymore. And then we're going to single crochet the bottom of our brim to the collar. So, I'm going to flip my work around to make this a little bit easier for myself. So, from here, I'm going to find that first available stitch from my brim. We do have two layers of this. We're going to find that first stitch from the front panel, also find the first stitch from the back panel. And then once when our hook is into the brim, we're going to find that next available stitch into the collar and then we're going to single crochet. Let's do this one more time. Into that next stitch into the brim, next stitch into the brim, next stitch into the collar, and then single crochet. Now we should have two stitches left. From here, we're going to grab the other side, sandwich it, and then insert your hook into that first stitch into the other side of our brim into the back panel, and then into that next stitch into the collar and single crochet. And we're going to keep doing this so we don't have any more left. Do a chain up one and cut.
And then we can work on our sleeve. We are all finished with our hood. And now we're going to get started on our sleeve. So, we're first going to start by inserting our hook into the stitch that's nearest to our side seam. Insert our yarn onto our hook, pull through, and do a chain up of one to secure. From here, we're going to put one single crochet into every underarm row that we have. Since we all start off with five, I'm going to have five single crochets. So, there is my first. This is my next right here, second. And continue that until we reach our shoulder portion.
And now that we put one single crochet into every side row, we're now going to put one single crochet into every stitch, making our way up and over our shoulder. And then we make our way down here, but one single crochet into every side row. So, insert your hook into that first available stitch into that shoulder portion that we have and single crochet. I'll meet you guys back after this row.
We have just finished our first single crochet row. And now we're going to do a back loop single crochet row. We're going to be decreasing into the first two and last two stitches. So, do a chain one and flip your work. From here, insert your hook into that first stitch's back loop, yarn over, pull through. I'll switch that next back loop, yarn over, pull through. Yarn over, pull through three. And from here, both hung back loops and crochet into every stitch. And then into the last two, to another decrease. Slip stitch into the chain one space. Do a chain up on one, flip your work, and repeat. Keep doing this until this portion becomes nice and snug around your arm. And I'll meet you guys back.
All right, so I have done my few rows of back loops single crochets with a decrease into the beginning and into the ends of every row. And now it is nice and snug around our arm. Now, all we're going to do is do rows of back loops and crochets with no increases, no decreases, making our way all the way down until we're ready for our cup. So, just to get this started, all we're going to do is do a chain of one, flip our work, and start with one back loop single crochet. And I'll meet you guys back once we have the length of our sleeve. And then I'll meet you guys back once we have the length of our sleeve so that we can do our cuff together.
I'm back, and I have just finished up going in with the length of my sleeve. I now have a total of 50 rows. And we're now going to get started on our cuff. I want my cuff to be super long, so I'm going to make a chain of 7 inches or 18 centimeters, and that's going to be a chain of 25. Now that we have our chain, we're going to block off that last chain, do a chain up of three, that's our turning chain. We're going to yarn over and then into that chain that we blocked off, or the first chain from our hook, we're going to insert with a double crochet. We're going to put one double crochet into every chain.
Now that we put one double crochet into every chain, we're now going to slip stitch it into the base. So, first making sure that our work is slipped right side out, we're going to be working clockwise. And just like for our bottom band, we're going to count up one, two stitches. We're going to slip stitch into that second stitch to close our double crochet row. And to work our way up to the next row, we're going to slip stitch up the next and flip our work. We're going to work one back loop slip stitch into every stitch. And then we reach the end, do a chain of three, flip our work, and put one back loop double crochet into every stitch. We're going to repeat a back loop double crochet and a back loop slip stitch row all the way around until we don't have any more stitches left. I'll meet you guys back so we can seam it together.
I've made my way all the way around with my cuff. And now we're going to seam it together. We're going to make sure that our cuff is slipped right side out. And we're going to do the same seam that we did for our bottom band. So, let's do the first one. Into that first available stitch into the front loop into the front panel, and insert our hook into that front loop. And then into the next available stitch into the back panel, insert your hook into that back loop. Yarn over, pull through everything. Continue to do this, make our way all the way down. We don't have any more stitches left. Do a chain up and one and cut.
And then repeat everything that we did here on the other side. Both of our sleeves are finished. And the last thing that we're going to do is make a chain and then single crochet around the chain and weave it into our brim for our drawstring. So, what we're going to do is start off by making a chain that reaches from mid-chest going up and over our head back down to mid-chest. So, I've already measured my. Now mine's going to be a total of 44 inches or 112 centimeters, and that's 180 chains. Once we have our chain, we're going to block off that last chain, do a chain of one, that's our turning chain. And then into that chain that we blocked off, or the second chain from our hook, we're going to insert with a single crochet. And then that's it. Continue to put one single crochet into every chain, making our way all the way down. We don't have any more chains left. Do a chain up of one and cut.
And then I'll meet you guys back. And now that I have my drawstring finished, we're now going to weave it into our brim. So, we're first going to do is take our tail end and then weave it in through our tapestry needle. This is what we're going to use to make sure that it sits right in between. What we're going to do now is take a look at our brim. Then into the second single crochet row that we have, I'm going to find that middle stitch, insert your hook, and then we're just going to weave it all the way up and over. And then we're going to pull it through this side. So, we're not going to see the needle poke through any sides. We're just going to continue to weave it all the way up and around. I'll meet you guys back when we have made our way all the way out to the other side.
And once when we have wall in our drawstring, our piece is all finished. Last thing we're gonna have to do is weave in all of our ends. Our ends are moving in, and our cropped hoodie is all finished. This is a project I've been wanting to do for our really beautiful little cycle. It's a super easy make and incorporated skinny techniques. Let us know how much you like it in the comments.
