But so you're going to see a whole lot of things, you know. Our tabs up here, you won't necessarily see all this in your customer system. It's just where a demo system. Everybody across the country is using this, and we need to be able to show features that they're looking at. So that's why it's so busy.
But this is obviously our parking lot outside our building, and these are live shots. I've got a couple of uh PTZs going here on the right. These are fixed cameras, and then I've got the makes here. This is an 8-megapixel camera in the top left, and an Axis camera uh down on the left running their analytic suite.
But as you can see, um, I mentioned that this is an 8-megapixel camera. You don't necessarily want to be streaming 8-megapixel all the time across your network for obvious reasons, bandwidth and things of that nature. So as you're viewing it on your smart client, what you're seeing here is uh 1080p or 2-megapixel. And what that allows you to do is get a nice, clear overview of what's happening in the scene. But as I mentioned, at 8-megapixel, if I need to focus in on something like this uh van's uh license plate number, I can draw a box around it. I have the camera that digitally zooms in on it. You can see that that 8-megapixel now comes into effect into that region that I want to see. So I can now read that license plate.
Um, I can do live playback from uh my live view. So I can come up here and do individual cameras and just hit playback, and now this camera view has gone into uh playback, and I can scroll through. If I saw something happen and I'm the operator, I can just scroll back to it and see it there.
Um, I can also, if this is a camera layout that makes sense, it's the entry, it's a hallway or outside, whatever it might be, and they follow the scene, can hit playback down here and put all four cameras into playback mode, and you can see the timeline down here. I can also do specific, if I know a date and time, I can put that in there as well and just go directly to that.
This is the Axis uh uh camera. It's the the Q Series, which is their higher end. It's got uh more bells and features, if you will. And of course, it's Friday afternoon. I was hoping to be a little busier so we can show a lot of the analytics, but um, we'll start with this bounding box. So where this comes in nice for a customer, if it's a business where they have limited uh parking, and they only allow you 20 minutes to park or 30 minutes to park, I can set these uh rules up. And you see that once the car pulls into that parking slot, it puts a bounding box around it. And if he had just pulled in, this would be yellow, this bar down below. But as time goes on, it it keeps track of that time. So if I said 30 minutes, you're going to see the bar will grow. Once it hits that 30 minutes, I can now have that uh do an action, right? So now it can notify the operator, this car has been here too long, or individuals, security, parking enforcement, whatever it is, um, and they can take care of that.
Uh, we do have somebody walking in here now. You see it's also putting a bounding box around a human being. So, uh, you know, it's got more, it's not just one analytic that's running. So object detection, I can see the person, I can see the cars, um, I can see the movement in that direction they're going, things of that nature.
Um, we mentioned search. I I can do this. That's great if you know a specific time, it's not too far back, you don't want to tie up your your main screen. I can go up here to the search tab, and this is where it, hour of the software comes into effect. So we were using that Axis camera, so I'll pop Cal at it with that camera, and you'll see the thumbnails that have popped up. This is in the last two hours. Forgive the time, um, we're synced with Denmark, so it's always going to be off, but this is two hours. You can see it's already popped up 75 uh incidents or thumbnails of some kind of motion.
Um, let's do it a little bit more. Let's go 12 hours. I should jump up pretty much. Yeah, 234 uh thumbnails. So if I know a specific time again, that's great. I can go through it, but 234 thumbnails is a lot to go through if you don't know the exact time or what exactly you're looking for.
Um, so I can use this button here to search for on that camera, and we're going to stick with Axis. I'm going to use the forensic search since we're using their camera, and now I have the capability of looking for a human, a vehicle, a bike, a bus, a car, a truck. Um, I can do the color of the vehicles, can do the upper clothing uh color of the individual and the bottom. Are they wearing jeans, or are they wearing black slacks, whatever it might be. Um, I have that ability. So, um, we'll do the basic cars are are pretty pretty safe.
Um, we had an incident in that parking lot, that view that I showed you, where a car skinned the other car or hit the other car next to it and left. We know it was a red car. So I can now just click on that. So every red car that came into that scene in the last 12 hours, I have here, and I can click on it, and I know the time. Or is this what I was looking for? I can expand this. Stop making a liar out of me. There we go. So I can see that that car a little bit better. I say, yep, there's that car. I can bring this back. That green uh symbol there is where it picked up the recording, and the red is where it stopped. So I can see, I can play this and see, yeah, we turned in, you hit that car.
So now I have this. So if I want to export that, I go back over to the thumbnail and just give that a check mark, and now I've got some uh options that I can do. So I can put this into an export file, and I'll show that next. I can bookmark this video so that if I don't have time to get to it right now, I can come back to it, um, and it won't won't be erased, it won't go away. Um, I can send this to another monitor, another window, or I can just do a PDF and create a report. But we'll set that up for export. You can see that it's acknowledged that clip has been set into the export, and now if I want to export that, I, if it's something uh very urgent that I need to get to, there it is. You see it there. And this is how I can export this clip.
Um, I can send this with the ExaProtect uh player, the format, so that uh if you're dealing with a, you know, maybe the police department, security, whoever it is, may not have our system, they'll be able to play this clip back and see it just as you seen. Uh, you can do media player format as well, and then you have some other other items you can put in here. You can put passwords on this, you can sign the video, things of that nature, um, to make sure that it it stays untampered, and then just hit export. And you can export these to a thumb drive, you can do it into uh your Dropbox account, whatever it may be, and you can do that, send that to that location and get to those later when it's a better time for you.
Um, like I said, we on our system, we try to put up as many of our camera partners as we can. So, um, you know, Bosch and Hall, they all have some effect uh to where you can do this, looking for cars, vehicles, or human beings. But Axis is a premier partner. Again, they are a sister company, we're both owned by Canon, and uh work seamlessly.
And by the way, I failed to mention in the previous screen, those analytics are running on the camera. Those aren't running on the server. So that saves a lot of uh a lot of headache on your server, on your network. The camera's doing all the work.
And with Axis, Ray, correct me if I'm wrong, those are three uh those analytics. There is an Axis Optimizer that you can get and make these all work pretty the way we're showing here. Yep.
So what I want to show you now is uh our maps. We have uh standard mapping and smart maps, and I'll show the difference here, but we'll go into standard maps first.
This is a layout of Lake Oswego office, our home office in Oregon. You can see we've got some cameras going here. Um, I can see the locations that they're at. These are just maps that you can import. They take multiple different files, and all you're going to do is drop your cameras or uh your strobes, your panic buttons, whatever it is, your access control doors onto your map, and you'll be able to control them from here. I can just right click on, excuse me, click on these and get a view of that camera. Here we've got a picture of our highway out there. This is on our building, I believe. Click on that. Yeah, and you see that that's uh one of the cameras looking outside our building.
With smart maps, I get more of a geo mapping. I can see all my locations, not just my my home office or my one building. And you can see here, that's that same Lake Oswego office, and I've got a layout of the cameras. I can see if I scroll all the way out, hopefully we don't have too much of a delay on my end, I'd be able to see this here in Oregon. If I had offices in the rest of the United States, I'd see those listed on here. And as you go through, you can see, like I mentioned, we have offices everywhere in the world. There's our uh global headquarters in Denmark, as well as uh some of the other offices throughout the world, and I can see the cameras there. And if I wanted to go into their buildings, I could see that as well. But we'll stick with ours.
And that same feature is is available. So as I zoom in on on Oregon's office, I've got multiple cameras now. I can see on my layout. I can hover over those and should be able to get a view. I get, uh, little concerned sometimes on Fridays, I we're doing maintenance on these things and don't have full functionality until they're done. But as you can see, as I mentioned, that laying out to your map, your offices, this can be done uh one floor, multiple floors, whatever it may be.
That flashing uh circle around that camera is letting us know there's been some kind of event, whatever it is you've set up with it. If it's a camera motion analytic, if it's tied to say a door, and that door has been forced open or or whatever it might be, or a bad card read, that would go into there. And I can just preview that and see what, get a live shot, what's going on in there, and acknowledge that alarm.
Mapping is pretty pretty standard, pretty pretty uh self-explanatory. As I mentioned, we can go multiple floors. So if I'm on the ground floor and I have, you know, four or five different levels, I can put uh uh the office layouts into each of those floors and label those and be able to go to that floor and read that map.
Let's see, I would also uh access control is something that I mentioned that that's a huge integration aspect of of the VMS's these days, and we have uh here's just a few of our partners that we work with. This is, as I said, just a few, but these are usually the industry leaders, or an LS2, American Dynamics, Secure things, of that nature. We work well with those folks.
So I can show you here on this OnGuard system, what this allows you to do when you integrate your access control into your camera system, is I can do things like open doors. So if I'm uh unable to get to a door to physically go open a door for somebody, I can hit this open button. You'll see this red light flash red and green, and I have now given access to whoever needed to get into that door. What's nice about the integration also, we have a drill by the way, as well, just to let you more visual. But I also get an activity. So I see what's going on, whoever swiped a card to go into that that particular door.
I can click on, uh, Adam here, and I can see that that brought him up there. He was coming through the door. I can also do an activity search on Adam. So I clicked on that little uh spy glass, and that gives me all the activity that that Adam's been doing. Again, we we don't have all partners, we don't have all our doors hooked up, we just use three. So I can see where he went through the building. So as he traverses through the building, goes to the break room, goes to his office, goes somewhere else, anywhere where it required that card read to open that door, I'll have activity on you. And I can do that activity, you know, as we showed by an individual, I can do it by the doors, I can do it by the card holders, the individuals.
Andrea's been, Andrea is one of our outside people, so she may not be in the building as often. But by clicking on those individuals, I can see again their activity, what they've been up to, where they've been. So it's it's it's a true integration.
When we have a a true integration with an access control partner, what that means, and I'll use Lenel OnGuard as an example that we're in right now, it's a bidirectional feed. So if I'm uh camera-centric, I want to view, you know, my camera GUI, Milestone Expert Tech, I can do that and still have the access control features and events coming in like we're showing here, or I can run it through that access control's view and bring the video feeds in that way as well. So we really leave that up to the end user, what they're comfortable with, and they can take it from there.
What else I could show you, you know, along with uh uh basic security surveillance, the analytics, we do have license plate recognition. This LPR here, and that's what that's going to do, it's going to read those license plates, either on a highway, depending on what your what the customer's needs are. It's usually more for watching what's coming into their property, right? So, uh, again, even tying that into access control, they may have a a gate that requires either a person to physically let them in or a card read. What you can do with license plate recognition is have that license plate read when they pull up, and that gate automatically open up to the individuals that you've given that access to or that privilege.
And what I'm going to do, we have a feature called suspect tracking. And what that means is this, if I wanted to follow somebody around when they're going through the building, I can do that as a live operator by just turning on suspect tracking. And you see the overlays that have populated on the view of each screen, which allows me to navigate. So I could click here, and it's going to take me on a journey through the office. So if I'm following somebody, this is what I'd want to use. And this could be done on your interior cameras, could also be done on your exterior cameras.
I'm biting my tongue so I don't ask questions, but, um, we've done search, we've done the exports. Is there anything in particular else I can go into? And when you initially set this up, is when you're going to uh put your directions in, which way we're going, which way we want to track, and then from there, it's really just clicking on those those uh arrows, those icons, and I can I can go through the whole, if I have that set up for the whole layout of the building, I can do that and just follow it around, just whatever one sense it makes. Turn it off here, it's it's gone.
And I know Ray, you've seen it with the rapid review. When we do the demo for that, we'll be able to show you things like, uh, well, still calling it facial recognition, things of that nature. It takes a deeper dive into the analytics to where you can really drill down, not just to the color of a shirt or pants or or dress. You can say, was it a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, were they wearing a hat, no hat, glasses, no glasses, things of that nature. Then you can really drill down into your investigation tools.
And now that BriefCam, if you haven't heard, is now going to have the exterior PTZ. This is an interior, whatever naming uh system works for for your customer, you'll have these listed here under their their server. Like I said, because we are using the demo system, I have everything up. Your customers won't necessarily have that. But if they have Axis integrated, then they'll have a a view, if you will, here on the on the left tab that they can click on, and then it'll bring up my, if I've saved that view for that access control tab, those doors will pop up. So I may have specific doors. You normally don't look at all doors, but there are high critical areas, you know, entrances, things of that nature, your IT room, things where you you want to make sure that you're controlling who's in and out of those those areas. This will allow you to do that and bring video into it so you can actually verify it.
And can you, and these are just overlays that are put into the program where I can open doors, things of that nature. Can you touch on the uh searching for access events? Searching? Sure. See, go back to, no, we'll use this. This is a Brivo system. I said we had some partners that we actually show on here. Genetec and Brivo being cloud solutions, Lenel OnGuard being more of a Mercury board uh on-premise. But I have the same features that I had with the Lenel that I showed you. I can go into here. There's Dwight. Here's that that search button. All I have to do is click on that. Now it's going to take into that that tab where it's going to give me information that I want. Got it.
So you have your events, and on those events, I can scale that down to whatever I want. Maybe I'm just interested in in how many hard denials or were so many presented a card and they weren't allowed in, door forced open, whatever it may be. But we obviously have them all turned on just so we have more activity with all three doors. So I can do a report by the doors, I can do a report by the card holders that are in the system. Every time they present that card, I'm going to have a record of when they did that, and hopefully, if done right, and should have video uh verification as well.
And so what we see here on this search screen really depends on the level of integration with the actual access provider, whether, you know, depending on what actually gets integrated. This, you know, this can potentially look different, or some of the features may not be available depending on the level of integration. Depending on the level of integration, yeah.
As I mentioned, we have 3,500 uh technology partners. That doesn't mean that they they integrated every aspect of their product into ours. It's really good to them. So yeah, if you're looking for bidirectional, that's important. Then, you know, if if you're unsure who that might be, you can contact me, and I'll give you a list of manufacturers. But the major, like Lenel OnGuard, I keep mentioning that just because they are an industry leader, that's a bidirectional integration, that's a true integration on both sides. Okay.
You can also bring in alarms or events. So if I have an intrusion integrated into my my camera system, which typically you want to do these days, the systems, you really, the technology is really advanced from when I started 35 years ago to where things like intrusion, access control, video management can now be on one platform or or one UI, one view. So you're, you know, we have partners like Bosch and DMP that do intrusion, you can bring those products in as well. And it's the same concept of of integration, depends on how much that other manufacturer decided they wanted to integrate in, and that's usually customer driven. So they listen to the partners like Custom Video, or they'll listen to their their feedback from their actual customers too, what's needed. That's a a typical uh brief demo.
