Central Europe in the last centuries before Christ, an ancient priest cast with secret teachings governed the Celtic land. They also sacrificed humans to their deities in brutal rites. They were builders, astronomers, healers, and they could look into the future. The spirit elite of They could and write Greek and Latin, but they didn't leave anything written behind us. They are an inspirational source for my and spiritity to this day. But what is true and what is just legend?

What we do is we follow the seasons and the landscape, a metap for our lives. So we have our own inner world and then there the outer landscape. So when our inner landscape and the outer landscape are in harmony and balance, then we have that with ourselves.

This isn't scientific, but my sense is you can be in a place and you go, this is a really old place. You can almost sense the ancestors there. And I know the drew come to me. I get it from the forest and woods. I can get it from some sacred sites, but personally it happens here in places like this, in my own grove, my garden. But what is historical about neodidism and what isant?
The Irish National Museum in Dublin. Archon Kelly research here are expertise bog bodies. This corpse was found by the Crog Hillb, that's why called Old Crogan Man. Between 25 and 40. Gruesome way to end up. So the dismembering of his body, the injuries inflicted on him. This this was not done to cause him pain or to torture him. These actions were done for religious reasons, not for other reasons. The man was killed by sword and his head and abdomen separated. This ritual was meant to prevent him from becoming a revenant. The man never did manual labor and fingernails manured. The privil of kings.

In the case of a different king, his head remained intact. A possible killing a cris during his posson inr society in irel. If such things happen, the king was he was h personally responsible. And if it was felt that the king could not undo these calamities that faced society through his influence with the other.
Hill the king was cr by sacrifices made with their chog for their killing ritual because they wereally close to the gods of the underw here to entrance to the other. Ifucting ritual looking to the of the other. This is place you come to do that. The man his around 350 BC from analying the stomach contently could even find out what last meal was. A porrid made from and buttermilk.
Think how proud he must have been on the day he was made king, and then it all went wrong. And he ends up down here. And the last thing he sees is the sight of his former glory. And he knows what's going to happen to him here. When he's taken out on this bog, probably by a party of he knows he's going to die.
Around further east, the Glowberg in Hess. Theid here archologs found a burial mound at the of 2500yeold round Keltic settlement with two deep ditches in front of it. With the geometic measuring methods archologist.
Initiators of structure mustronomy experts.

Priest the first.

In 100 BC was the capital of the tribe of. Archologist Sabina Ref excavated a part of Bib and discovered clues about activities. The most meaningful finding a stone basin.
Also A² + B² ist c².
Museum of Bra. Vincent is the director here. He wants to know what the Drewid world looked like in the first century BC when Cesar conquered the GS. The many display items showed the person.
Druids could read and write, but they only passed on their full knowledge verbally.

Aliff up here to become early Celtic sacrificial s. K primarily found women's jewel here.

By, the head of modern druids in Ireland, strong Celtic women are role models. She doesn't connect much with the male dominated image of God that the Catholic nuns taught her about in her boarding school for girls.
So when I read stories and I read mythology, it's not that it's a truth, but it has a resonance with me. So it makes sense to me. We dealing with spirituality and spiritual beliefs which are not necessarily based in fact, but the stories can provide a resonance or a relevance or a meaning for me in my own life. So is it made up? Maybe. But I don't think that's important. A thirst for knowledge and learning appreciates that about theid of your and also the love of nature which also shares.

An accidental discovery puts them on the right track. Around 9 km away in the southern slope of the Swabian Alps is a mountain top the size of two football fields that is completely leveled. Massive excavation work took place here at 600 BC, a monumental wall the size of a huge freight.
On end the massive wall 13 thick and 10 high. Ars uncovered cross oval.
Ars are.

Gigantic me placeen elevation.

Several hundred years after this event, the Roman poet Luan refers to dark groves and bloody victims under the leadership of the druids. The brutal rituals of the Kelts were a popular subject for the Romans. But whether the personnel really sacrificed people on a large scale is debatable. Theologian Bernard Meer has analyed the written evidence.

finding that gives clues about theigion can be found here in the National Museum. The cron of Gundop. There is no other archological that shows the world of gods in more detail than this silver cron found in a Danish bog. The archologists are most puzzled about this detail. A man dipping a warrior in a human sacrifice. Archologist Fleming Cow has researched the motives of this cron for many years. He has arrived at a very different explanation.
What we see is a row of warriors who had been killed on the battlefield and now they standing in underworld waiting, waiting for what? Waiting for a dip in a which can restore the life in another world. So the Gon may be aon for giving eternal life for the dead warriors killed in battle. The believed in reincarnation, that is why they felt invulnerable. The comic book hero fell into magic potion as a child. The warrior plate seems to have inspired one of the creators of Aster. Some years ag I spoke with him about the gun and he told me that it was actually the gun and the warrior plate who had inspired him to the sacred of Asterics and Obelix. One can only speculate about what the crum was actually used for. Maybe it just contained wine for a ritual feast. The golden sickle was also something that Astrix creator Udo consulted historical sources about. The story of druid miracul climbing an oak tree to cut miss to be true.

It shows the image of a man who wased next to the s in theal mount, a man from the fifth century BC. His objects revealed his social standing. He has the shield of a warrior. His gold jewely shows that he must have been very rich.

How is the story? Did harvest and also with gold sickles? Blowboy run a visit who speciales in the production of historical tools. Mastercraftsman Frank Trommer and his assistant Pierre St forge a Celtic sickle with charcoal fire, bellows, a hammer and anvil.
Trauma and his assistant have reconstructed almost all the Celtic tools. Hammers, axes, drills, iron.
The sickle is almost ready. Smoothed with the hammer so it's nice and sharp. Attached with the wooden handle. This is exactly what a blacksmith would do. Is this the right tool to cut? The symb of eternal life?

And the man from Glow with the hat seems to have really been a druid.
Only one ges with name fromory. The man was a personal friend ofigos.
If the Dark made appearance in his hometown B, it was probably on this.

Archologists have exposed the base of a meeting place. The area 40 m, enough space for several hundred.

New stronghold of theiger was going to be island. Hills of archologist researched Irish kings were crowned here and the legendary court gathered here. The most knowledgeable elite group. The druids, their task advising the king about alls of worldly and things. Tara was being the most sacred place in the whole of Ireland. This was the place that had most connectedness with the spirit world. And so the king of Tara was the most important king in the of and of course the operated here would have been the preeminent in the of Ireland. The druids could even tell the future. That's what written in Irish sacred stories. That's why they were alarmed when the first Christian mission St. Patrick appeared on Slain Hill directly across from the royal residence. He started a fire on the first day of spring, which was actually the privil of the king. His tells the king that he must immediately extinguish that fire and all associated with because if he if he doesn't, that fire will never be extinguished in the whole of Ireland. So of course it's a reference to Christianity, paganism, and the been aware of how things are work out. St. Patrick and the beginning of the Easter Fire, one of many saints legends. It was written here in the scriptorum of Clon McNoise, the most important Irish monasy founded in 548 AD. Aon Kelly takes the report about the druids by early Christian monks seriously, but there are some caviats. It's clear that the purpose behind writing these tales down was a Christian one. Was to a certain extent to portray the dr as the bad guys and the the Christian church as being the good guys and also to to tell moral tales that reflected the chrtian view of the world. For a long time theigion and chrtian exed in parallel. Then in approximately centy the traces I think became the learned with the Irish Christian settle. They were the learned classes within the monasteries and they continued now as Christians to form a hugely important learned class and and continue to do so right down to the Middle Ages. Traces of the druid religion have survived to this day. Halloween, the night before the old Keltic New Year festival is one example. The druids formed the spiritual and worldly elite of the Kelts for around a years. They were on the losing side of history in their conflict with the Romans and later on during the chrtianation of Ireland, they appeared like a shadow from the dark recesses of history. Without us.
