Alvin Kamara Injury update!

The Injury Expertz2:34

See what that says? Says grass over turf. I forgot who I got this of, but that was a fascinating. Right.

So, let's talk about Alvin Kamara. So Kamar suffered this injury right here where you can see. I believe it's his right ankle and he he rolled out and it could have been a classic high ankle sprain where where he basically rolls out, but in actuality, the ankle was spared and likely the ACL was spared due to the angulation of his knee. But he did take a significant impact and just force on that knee.

So, we likely saw a significant angle like this on that knee, which usually stresses the MCL, which is over here, and the medial meniscus, which is right in here, often times the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. Now, he did not return to the game. Devin Neil didn't do a whole lot on the ground, but caught a bunch of passes.

Now, best case scenario, this is a whole lot of nothing, and they were just being careful. But I have some concerns about this. I I've met Kamar several times. He is very agile. He is unbelievably uh balanced and he is really able to avoid a lot of crazy injuries. But unfortunately, this one was just the nature of it. If it was the ankle or if it was the knee, there was something that was going to take a lot of force. The ankle got lucky. Unfortunately, the knee didn't.

So, my suspicion is this is an MCL sprain and maybe a injury to the meniscus. I'm hoping that the ACL was spared and we don't have any issues there. But we'll provide an update when we do. I expect Deon Neil to be the guy. Even if Kamar is okay to go, he's been banged up for what it's worth coming into this game after their buy last week with an ankle injury for about a month now. So, he was banged up coming into the game, but I knew he would play.

Now, I'm a little bit more hesitant and a little bit more concerned heading into uh week uh 13, the the obviously the the Thanksgiving week with a potentially significant knee injury for Alvin Kamara.
