had fewer turnovers than the reigning MVP SGA, had better shooting percentage. LeBron James than the reigning MVP. Maybe when it comes to basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder really are opponents on completely different levels, and maybe it's not worth seriously evaluating the actual basketball side of this game.

But where the real battle unfolded was in faking injuries and making yourself look like the victim. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got so deep into the role that he's trying to sell even an obvious real foul. LeBron James wasn't touched at all, but he's probably just laying the groundwork in advance for explaining why he lost.

And that's the fundamental difference between him and Kobe Bryant. Throughout the entire series, Bruce Bowen was deliberately trying to injure Bryant, kicking him in the knee, stepping on his wrist, sliding his foot under Kobe every chance he got so he'd land awkwardly. And Kobe simply played through all of it. And he somehow WAS ABLE TO DRILL IT OVER BOWEN. THIS IS just greatness. He takes it hard off the dribble. He pump fakes, gets Bowen up just a bit, duck dicks it ducks his head, raises up. BOWEN'S HANDS RIGHT ON the shot, and he still finds a way to knock it down.

>> Arco grabs the arm right there on the foul, and then all of a sudden the feet get tangled up, and there goes Kobe. And the Kobe Bryant still bothered by that bad for that shot. And a tripping foul. Drive in the lane. See if there's a collision. Kobe comes up hobbling. He was shaken up. One first down Lakers. Yeah, he's trying to rub that uh knee and uh work that off. And he gets kicked right there by Bruce Bowen. Here comes Kobe Bryant. So, Shaq just moments ago made a dramatic return. Kobe, who injured his knee, is back on the bench. He's telling Phil Jackson, "I'm all right and would like to re-enter the game." They put a protective pad on his knee. You've got to kill him to keep him out of the game. In this game, Jerry West said he'd have to kill you to keep you out. Are you all right? I don't know. You know, right now my knee is pretty swollen. Uh but I was able to come in and finish the game off.

After Luke Kennard's bucket, it's Oklahoma City's possession. LeBron is the last Laker getting back on defense. I J Mitchell is behind him. Kennard throws his hands out in frustration. Mitchell is already on the Lakers side of the court without even hurrying much and LeBron still isn't there. So, where did he go? Most likely just waiting for the Thunder possession to end so he can get a long pass near the opponent's basket. Four Lakers, five Thunder players, and LeBron. Again, four Lakers, five Thunders, LeBron. Because he's a true genius at getting easy points. He's so efficient, shooting such a high percentage even at 41 years old. I mean, you think about this. LeBron James is 41 years old, had fewer turnovers >> [laughter] >> than the reigning MVP SGA, had better shooting percentage. LeBron James than the reigning MVP. He has to somehow compensate for the percentage dropping because of all those misses from distance. And from up close, too. But here it is, a good look. LeBron worked his way to the basket, scored the bucket. Good job, LeBron. Keep doing that. But no, this wasn't LeBron's favorite kind of mismatch where he's one-on-one with the basket. This was a contested shot and LeBron also fell down. So, instead of getting back on defense, he has to go argue with the referee. And he wanted a call. And right now he's slow to get back. It's five on four. LeBron's playing real defense. He's slow to get back. It's five on four. You can understand LeBron because he's suffered greatly. Now his leg hurts and he's limping. LeBron James is hurt. He hits his right hip, it looks like, but he is really limping. Although he only limps when he has to play defense because apparently he felt no pain when he instantly jumped up after the fall like a young bull to prove to the referee that he was right. LeBron James is hurt. You were taking the first steps to making your brand a great one. Fine, cuz there's a lot of different brands people are attracted to. How about this one? LeBron sensitive outdoorsy frugal victim. >> LeBron James is hurt. I mean, this is outrageous. I don't know. LeBron's really healthy. LeBron's got that number one pick body.

Here LeBron simply didn't notice the sneaky Alex Caruso catching him with a charge. Though even while not noticing the defender, LeBron still stuck his elbow forward. More likely he just predicted it thanks to his incredible basketball IQ. If the ball gets deflected, you can still grab it, LeBron, but he decided to do something much smarter instead and wait for the ball to go out of bounds, even though it went off him. LeBron's leadership qualities become especially sharp in the playoffs. Just look at the strategically important call. Wow. Casual 41-year-old greatness. Humbert gets A PIECE. HUMBERT GRABS THE BALL. LeBron did everything he could. They'll somehow have to manage the rest without him. I mean, he's he's he's playing his butt off. An incredible steal by LeBron. Truly breathtaking. Someone will say, "Why are you picking on him? He was just standing in the right place." And that's exactly the point. He was standing in the right place to receive the ball after Deandre Ayton knocked it loose. Even though in NBA rules, a steal is rewarded to the player who caused a turnover, not the one who was simply standing there successfully. But, the league has its own separate way of counting stats when it comes to LeBron. That's exactly why I try not to watch the modern National Basketball Association, and whenever I do watch it >> Oh, what the [ __ ] I'm immediately reminded why I try not to watch it.
