Week six is mostly in the books, and we have eight players rising up our rest-of-season rankings. Danny, you want to get us kicked off with the first player that's rising up your rankings?
Yeah, and uh, this is a former Cowboy. This is a guy that I have to watch run all over my Cowboys this week. Uh, he actually told us going into the weekend, "Buckle up." Let's just say the Cowboys defense did the opposite of buckling up because this was a train crash. This was a car crash. This was an ugly sight with that Carolina Panthers running game. I'm talking about Rico Dattle. Carolina this week against the Cowboys, a 99th percentile success rate on offense. Like, we're talking about a situation with the Cowboys defense where they simply couldn't get off the field. And part of it was, I mean, Rico Dude, these last two weeks, he's been playing like arguably the best running back in the NFL. I have risen him from my RB35 in my rankings to my RB28. And he was a riser last week. Don't get me wrong. We talked about him last week. Yeah. With Chuba hovered out, obviously we see the big game. He's going to be a riser. But we didn't really give the credence to Rico Dattle over his standalone value, over what it could potentially look like when Chuba Hubbard is back. Dude, I think there's a real possibility that Rico Dattle can wrestle the starting job because when we look at these last two games, 62 opportunities for Rico Dattle as a top five to 10 running back in fantasy. That is one thing I'm confident of with how this Carolina run game has looked, with how Rico Dattle has looked as well, the receiving usage as well. He looks phenomenal. The big question still remains, what will this backfield split look like when Chuba Hubbard is back? That'll lean somebody to have, you know, maybe Chuba Hubbard ranked higher, maybe Rico D ranked higher because I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Chuba is just going to assume the role as the starter. I do have Rico D's a top 30 running back. I think he needs to be raised in everybody's rankings and and if he does potentially retain that RB1, you know, 1A type of workload when Chuba Hubbard is back, we could even talk be potentially talking about a league winner.
I'll push back on that. I don't think he's gonna take the starting job away. I, I don't think it's impossible that he takes the starting job away. And I did think before probably last week, especially, I did think it was probably impossible that he would wrestle the job away from Chuba Hubbard. It's within the range of outcomes. I don't think it's going to happen personally. Chuba Hubbard's got the big contract. When you factor in that like, when both of these guys were starters last year, Chuba Hubbard outproduced Rico Dow like five extra points per game on. And it's not like Chuba Hubbard played for a great team. I mean, he was on the Panthers, and Cowboys were without Dak, but like, either way, both of these guys are good running backs. And I would say at the very minimum, Chuba Hubbard through the first couple games of the season. Let me just double-check what his like snap share and stuff was because I do want to see how much his workload would probably decline. Yeah, I mean, he was like a 65% of the snaps guy, 58% of the carries coming into that week five game when he was kind of banged up and uh, didn't end up uh, playing and Rico Dattle got his first crack at the job. And by the way, Rico Dattle, the number one fantasy running back in two straight weeks now.
Yeah. He's going to wrestle away some touches for sure. Uh, I just, I still, I still tend to think that when we're doing like weekly rankings and whatnot, Chuba Hubbard will be ranked higher than Rico Dao.
Yeah, I mean, we'll see what ends up happening. I mean, you mentioned overall last year he was better than Rico D. But when you do isolate week nine on, keep in mind, too, the Cowboys offensive line really struggling last year. Not really.
Standing. No, no, no, no. I'm just painting the picture because last year we're talking about a situation where Clayton Adams has revitalized this Cowboys game. We didn't have Clayton Adams. We didn't have the offensive line playing like it did this year compared to last year. But even despite that, Rico Donald down the stretch, weeks nine on, Atlanta game on, even with Dak Prescott on the sideline, 13.2 points per game, RB15 in fantasy in that stretch. 66% of the snaps, 67% of the carries, 52% of the routes. We just kind of got to see how this workload's divvied up when both are on the field.
Yeah. Um, again, my counter-argument to that would be from week nine onward last year, Chuba Hubbard was like a top three running back in fantasy.
Yep. Again, different teams. I'm just painting the picture without Dak Prescott, Rico Dattle was also a starting caliber running back.
He was. Yeah. And that's why I think there's no way that this backfield goes back to, you know, Chuba Hubbard last year, for example, week nine onward was a guy who was commanding upwards of 85% of the snaps. Like that's not going to happen anymore. Like Rico D's too good, too much a part of this backfield that I, I just do think Carolina is going to rely on their ground game. They got two good running backs. When one's out, the other can carry the workload and so on. So, yeah, you have to value Rico D at the very least, similar to the way that you value Zack Charbonnet.
Yeah, I have Rico D higher. I think you have uh higher upside in terms of the efficiency and of course, like I've said, 27 and 35 opportunities in back-to-back games. Like as good as the workload was for Zack Charbonnet, we're talking about with Rico Dattle, the best workload in the NFL these last few weeks.
Yeah, I have him higher than Charbonnet to be clear. I have him as my RB31 rest of season, but they're within the same tier of each other. And like, you know, there's upside guys within that tier, like your Trevon Hendersons, your Woody Marks of the world, but if you just need a a solidified guy who can be a starter in a pinch, I think Rico Dattle definitely makes sense for that. And like I said, there's nothing you can argue about Rico Dattle's efficiency. I have not seen a running back play that well in a long time. Like, that was an absolute masterclass. 200 plus scrimmage yards in back-to-back games is insane.
Yeah. I mean, we're talking about 8.96 and 6.1 yards per carry in back-to-back weeks. And the craziest part of that 6.1 yards per carry against the Cowboys, again, 30 carries, 183 rushing yards. It wasn't like he had like a 70-yard rush that was buoying that production. No, like the Carolina Panthers this week had 14 runs of seven-plus yards. Shout out that stat that was from Josh Norris. 14 runs of seven-plus yards. For reference, on the other end, by the way, giving credence to the Carolina defense, no run for the Cowboys went for over seven yards. So, if you want to look going forward as well about teams playing against this weak Carolina Panthers run defense, Carolina's run defense the last two weeks has looked really good.
Yeah. Well, and that was kind of the expectation when Dro was back from uh from injury and stuff, but yeah, the Cowboys were 32nd uh in adjusted fantasy points allowed to the running back position coming into the week. And they are still 32nd in adjusted fantasy points allowed to the back position. So, they are the cupcake matchup of all cupcake matchups. And welcome to Bill Week this week and next week when they play the Dallas Cowboys. So, um, my number one riser here is Kamani Vidal. And shout out to me for being a ball knower because on the waiver video, a lot of people were discussing, is it Hassan Haskins? Is it Kamani Vidal? I was staunchly, it is Kamani Vidal, but I did get scared off of it in the Flock League and I did bench Kamani Vidal, but he is up for my RB42 rest of season to my RB30. We did get word too that Amari Aaron will be out more than four weeks. There was initial reports that he might only be out the four weeks, uh, originally, but now it looks like it could be upwards of six to seven weeks, maybe eight weeks. Um, there are people saying, "Oh, he'll probably be back, you know, week 12, week 13, something like that." Um, too bad I started Isaiah Pacheco in the Flock League, but regardless, Kamani Vidal, 67% of the snaps, 54% of the routes, 22.8 PPR points. He always was the better running back. He looked like the better running back. But Mike Garafolo cooked me at 11 Eastern on Sunday morning and decided to make me sit him in favor of Isaiah Pacheco. But hopefully you guys did play him because when you just look at the breakdown of all the plays, the early down work was his. The goal line work, yes, Haskins did end up getting that touch, but he did catch the touchdown in the red zone. Kamani Vidal, he was very clearly the third-down back. He actually did get most of the short-yardage work as well. So, um, if you're wondering, what do I have in Kamani Vidal going forward? Well, the answer is, at the very least, over the next couple weeks, you have a guy who you can play in by weeks. And if not, if you're me in the Flock League and you have no other running back options behind Bijan Robinson, this might be an every-week starter for the next couple of weeks.
Yeah, top 20, top 25 level running back attached to a good offense. Yeah, sure. We know that the Chargers inherently will want to throw the football, but Vidal, like you said, has a three-down skill set, has a receiving skill set, and on top of that, he handled what, 21 opportunities this week?
Yeah. Yeah. And he ended up getting pretty much everything that was important, too. So, like that's the other thing. If they are going to, you know, drop back and un-cork it, he's going to be the one running the routes.
And also, shout out because obviously you were the one on the waiver wire uh video this week. You were, you know, of course talking about Kamani Vidal. Even on the live stream, I was saying, I'm like, people were like, "Well, should we drop Kamani Vidal? Like, what's going on here?" And I said, "Guys, the thesis about the pickups was always Hassan Haskins will probably get the immediate crack, but Kamani Vidal, the bet on him is over the course of Hampton being out, he eventually just wrestles a starting job." And as we saw at the beginning of the game, like it was pretty much a hot-and-go approach. It's just Kamani Vidal wrestled the starting opportunity because he's just so much more efficient. Like when you have one back giving you what, three carries for two yards over whatever Hassan Haskins was at at one point versus Kamani Vidal averaging over six yards per per pop, the answer kind of becomes clear when you're head coach. It's just, uh, hopefully the Seahawks start to realize that soon.
Yeah, one guy averaged 6.9 yards per carry, the other, the other averaged 2.3 yards per carry. Like, it's not a competition when one guy is that much more efficient than the other. So, in Kamani Vidal, again, there's still reports, still whispers that the Chargers could potentially deal for a running back or something like that. But seeing that performance, 18 carries, 124 yards, 6.9 a pop from their backup practice squad running back, you've got to feel pretty good about Kamani Vidal if you did spend 29 FAB dollars on him like I did in the Flock League. So, um, moving into Danny's, uh, number two riser, and I graciously gave you this guy because I was into the dock before you were, and I did steal him from you, but it's only fitting that the Ladster talks about himself reincarnated as the NFL running back. He deserves all the flowers, man. He looks the part. He runs hard, and he has been a fantasy running back one the minute he took the job over from Tyrone Tracy. And sure, initially we're like, "Okay, you know, Tyrone Tracy, did he lose the job because he was hurt or did he lose his job because Cam Scataboo was just simply playing better?" And I think we kind of got our answer on Thursday night. I mean, spoiler alert, everybody in their mother going into that game was like, "Oh, well, the Eagles defensive line, the Giants offensive line, like this is one of the biggest mismatches we've ever seen." Cam Scataboo doesn't care about mismatches. You know what Cam Scataboo cares about?
Red zone touchdowns, apparently.
Running through [ __ ] in the red zone, man. Three touchdowns, 63% of the carry share since he took over, 58% of the route share, and a 12% target share. We're talking about a full-fledged three-down running back. That is passing the eye test. I can't rank him as an RB1 because I still do have my long-term questions about this Giants offense, especially without Malik Neighbors going forward. But the vibes are there. Jackson Dart's playing well. Cam Scataboo himself is playing kind of like that early, early career David Montgomery type of role. I think you can rely upon him at worst as a mid-end running back two moving forward. And he's one of the, you know, 16 or 18 running backs I actually trust.
Yeah, I have him ranked as RB15. I, I could argue like, you know, give me one more week of this and I'll put him over Derrick Henry. I'll put him over Javonte Williams even potentially. I'll put him over Quinnon Judkins potentially. Like, he's he's getting close to that territory, man, because he has on, on, in addition to like the rushing work and all that kind of stuff. He is a really good receiver. He had a great receiving profile coming out of college. So, uh, yeah, Tyrone Tracy, I was legit worried, hey, like, you know, Tracy is back this week. He's going to take a bigger share of the workload. And that could still happen because it was Tracy's first game back. And we saw, like, for example, in Tennessee, in Taj Spears' first game back, he didn't really do that much. But then this week, he actually out-snapped uh Tony Pollard in the game and ran a lot of the routes and whatnot. So, maybe Tyrone Tracy becomes a bigger part of this backfield going forward. That's kind of why I only have him at RB15. I want to move him higher than this because I think he's produced at that level. But, um, yeah, you've got to feel very confident if you have Cam Scataboo and you spent a 10th round dart throw on him or something like that, or a ninth round pick or something, you have a legit high-end RB2 at worst on your hands right now.
Yeah, 100%. Uh, shout out Scataboo. I was full-fledged Tyrone Tracy over Scataboo this summer and that's easily one of my biggest Ls.
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, we, we take a lot of victory laps on these videos usually, but this is one that I wish I had a lot. Because in the early in the offseason, like May, June area, I actually was more Scataboo over Tracy because Tracy was going, um, a little bit earlier than he was going towards the end of the offseason and for some reason the, the buzz wasn't matching like where the ADPs were. But yeah, Cam Scataboo, I wish I drafted a lot more of him on Underdog because I only ended up like 7% and I had like 18, 18% Tracy or something like that.
More than me. I really took the stance of Tracy over Scataboo. And, uh, maybe that's the difference in our advance rates right now.
Maybe. Maybe. Uh, Kyren Williams, um, has to go up the rankings as well. And here's why my tune has changed on Kyren because generally he's still the same player he always was. He's getting a workload. He's not like the most efficient guy in the world, but he does look really solid the last couple of games. He's up in a target share percentage-wise, 10% target share plus in three of his last four games, which is really helping buoy his fantasy production. Number two, Puka Nacua is going to miss some time here. We don't know exactly for how long, but Puka has a bye in week eight. It's possible he could come back in week nine, but I would say it, based on the reports that we're hearing today, it might not even be that early. It might be more like week 10, week 11, week 12 that he's back on the field. And, uh, hopefully he avoids the IR and all that kind of stuff. But that could result in Kyren Williams seeing more receiving work, being a bigger focal point of the offense in general because we know that with this Rams offense, when all three of those guys were healthy, it was Puka. That's how the offense ran. He was the guy moving the chains. He was the guy in the red zone. He was the guy making the big plays. He was the offense. So, Puka, it is so unfortunate for people like myself who drafted absolute [ __ ] tons of bags, this guy on Underdog and also had him in our home leagues. But it is probably going to benefit Kyren Williams. In addition to that, Blake Corum in the last two weeks has both fumbled and suffered an ankle injury. So, Kyren Williams has seen 91% and 75% of the snaps in the last two games. And it doesn't sound like Corum's injury is overly serious, but it is probably going to result in Kyren Williams being a top 5-10 running back over the next couple of weeks with Puka Nacua out and with Blake Corum potentially banged up.
So, uh, I was just on the other monitor kind of finding the updates for Puka Nacua. Um, the last report we have from Deepo says potentially a low ankle/tendon strain. We also have reports potentially a midfoot uh sprain. The expectation is, like you said, at least going to be held after the buy-week, by week, week eight. For cautious sake, what we're talking about two weeks out and then back by week four because then obviously the buy would be three weeks. So you're looking at about a month recovery there. But if it does end up being a high ankle sprain, we do have the risk of it potentially running long to, you know, four to six weeks. If it's a bad one, possibly six to eight weeks. So hopefully for Puka's sake, it's not on the bad end of that scale and we can see him after the buy-week. But regardless though, Kyren Williams is going to have to be relied upon in the receiving game. We know what Puka Nacua is able to do, 35-plus% target share. Sure, Davante Adams obviously the big quote-unquote winner of this situation where he could be like a 35-plus% target share guy for the time being, but Kyren will need to be relied upon in the receiving game with this.
Yeah, I would say the biggest telltale sign of what we could expect out of Puka going forward is if he gets put on IR or not. Because if he doesn't get put on IR, it's a Mike Evans, CeeDee Lamb situation. He'll probably be out three, maybe four weeks at most, kind of thing. Especially knowing that there's a buy in there. There's no risk of bringing him back on that. I think best-case scenario, Puka Nacua is back on the field week nine. Worst-case scenario, he's probably back on the field on IR and they they don't bring him back until like week 10, week 11, week 12. So hopefully it's just a two to three week injury for Puka and he's able to play through it because we saw last year when he came back from his injury, he was just as dominant as he was before. Um, but obviously Puka was having a truly special season that you just hate to see get derailed by an injury.
Well, yeah, that's, I mean, I have it right here. Obviously I did it in the CGL. The splits that I took are the games 50-plus% of the snaps, 22.3 points per game, over 11 targets per game, and a 39.1% target share.
Beast. Absolute beast, man. Like it sucks. It sucks ass that he he ended up getting banged up in this game. So, but biggest beneficiaries, like you said, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams. Adams a pretty obvious riser, but I already had him ranked pretty aggressively. Like I think he was wide receiver 12 for me before this week and now he's wide receiver 10 for me because of the Igbuka injury kind of knocked him down a little bit. So, um, regardless, Davante Adams, Kyren Williams, the offense is probably going to run through those guys, uh, now going forward. Uh, Danny, who do you have? And this is probably, uh, very exciting for a lot of people to hear that this guy is finally gracing this video. And I, I can't lie to you, Danny. I don't have this guy ranked as high as you do. I have him about where he was before. I, I moved him up a little bit, but not by much. And that's Brian Thomas Jr. Yeah, in my opinion, he's so back. I mean, we're talking about this game against Seattle, he had 23 PPR points. It's been a struggle. Like, if you drafted BTJ at the one-two turn, you haven't felt good so far. But, in my opinion, this was the breakthrough game. This is what we needed to see from BTJ. We know the talent's still there, but he's finally starting to play up to it. Because in the last three games, he's been at a 24% target share and a 37% share of the air yards. The main difference now is that he's just simply converting on those opportunities. On top of that, another big thing for him this week, finally getting on the score sheet. Didn't score a touchdown in his first five games. Finally gets back on the score sheet this week. And this was a wide receiver that scored 10 touchdowns as a rookie. We know what he is on the outside. 6'2, 210 lbs, 4.3 speed. We expect this guy to score a lot of touchdowns. So, it's kind of odd that this was his first touchdown scored this year. When you look at the Jaguars offense, Hunter, he's still making rookie mistakes. Parker Washington, Tim Patrick, Demario Brown, like those are just buzzwords. And then of course, with Brettton Strange being hurt, BTJ is going to continue having to play this well because quite frankly, the Jaguars have no other option on offense right now if Hunter's going to continue to struggle.
Yeah, I, I have him wide receiver 19. Uh, I didn't want to put him up really much higher than that because this is really the first week where he's looked a lot better. Obviously monster fantasy performance that we saw. Uh, prior to this week, he was still kind of just like a 13, 14 point at best kind of performer, but like you said, the, if the touchdown counts, I mean, the guy would have been had would have had a monster week. So, um, I do definitely have to put him up. Um, and I'll move him like, here's the internal discussion for me right now. Do I move him ahead of like Debo Samuel, who's played outstanding right now? I, ahead of, um, I have him and Lad McConkey like back to back because they're both kind of in the same boat where we expected them to be so great coming into the year but then they weren't and now they're starting to play better. So I don't know really how to treat either of them. Uh, Tee Higgins versus him, Zay Flowers versus him, like Flowers going to have Lamar coming back after the bye. So that's kind of the tier for me. It's just, do you prefer, like, if you wanted to put Brian Thomas at the head of that tier, I think that's totally fair.
Yeah. So he is the head of that tier right now. At tier for me. You know, Debo, Garrett, Tate, uh, Courtland Sutton, Jaylen Waddle, Lad McConkey, and I still have QJ in there. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Of course, he did miss this game. Uh, two weeks ago, he had a down game, but I mean, QJ's still averaging 17.3 points per game. So, I do think he has to be at the very minimum, him and Lonkey have to be like back to back.
I, I have the material. I have Lad McConkey. I have Lad McConkey at 19 and I have QJ at 28. I, I think there's a difference between those two guys still.
You just can't do that. There's a six-point per game difference between them right now. Like, I understand the last couple of games though. Sure.
Sure. But I understand if you do prefer Lad McConkey, but you just can't write right away what happened in the first six weeks. Like, Quentin Johnson, the reason QJ still ranked where he is for me.
28 for QJ is just too low, Corey. He's averaging 17.3 points per game. Like I'm going to tell you straight up, that's too low.
I, I don't know, man. Injuries are finicky. I'll move him up to the top of this tier, but I, I still stand by having Lad McConkey a tier ahead of him because we thought he was better coming into the season and he's producing well now.
Yeah.
And he's averaged six points per game less. Like, again, I like Lad. I have him one spot higher. You cannot say that there's a tier apart between them.
Yeah. I mean, they're 25 and 19 for me now.
Okay. All right. Uh, 20 and 21 for me, but, um, yeah, like we said, BTJ going to be at the top of that tier. Cory, who is your third player?
Yeah. Uh, Patrick Mahomes, man. Um, he's QB3 for me right now. Now, if Lamar was still hurt, I'd probably rank him QB2. Um, but Lamar looks like he'll come back after the bye-week. Um, just one game this year for Patrick Mahomes without a top six scoring performance at the quarterback position. His favorite target returns in week seven after his suspension. So, with Mahomes, you've gotten the QB1 in fantasy, 24.8 PPR points. He scored as a top four quarterback in all three games that Xavier Worthy has played fully as well, averaging nearly 30 fantasy points per game when Xavier Worthy is out there. So, everybody's playing well in this Kansas City passing game. Hollywood's doing his thing, two touchdowns this week. Xavier Worthy's doing his thing. Kelsey's catching, you know, third-down targets and that kind of thing. And now you add in the guy that the team has said all offseason is legit ready for wide receiver one caliber production. I'm a little bit skeptical over Skyy Moore, but as it relates to Patrick Mahomes, he has to be considered a major positive knowing that Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback one in fantasy. In the stretch in which it would have made sense, he wasn't producing at a high level and he's the quarterback one in fantasy right now.
Yeah, I mean, I got to give him credence as well. We drafted him more so as a tier two, possibly even tier three option because there was a big discrepancy in ADP between Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. If you recall, like Joe Burrow was a, you know, end of the fourth, early fifth round type of guy. Patrick Mahomes, like in my home league, I got him in the seventh round. I'm sure you got him, especially got him in like round eight or something in the Flock.
He got him at the 901, by the way. 901, 901, um, which, uh, maybe we should have waited a little bit more. I thought if I had taken, uh, Jackson Smith-Njigba where I took Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes where I took Brandon Aiyuk or whatever, I would be in much better shape right now.
Oh, if I had taken JSN, I would have been loving myself, but I still wouldn't have any running backs. But, uh, all jokes aside, uh, Patrick Mahomes is clearly in my top four. Um, I still want to see what happens with Jalen Daniels tonight because there could be very real possibility he rushes for 70 yards, exposes that Bears defense, big high-profile game. Um, but if you want to take him over Lamar, knowing that Lamar, you know, he's going to miss a couple weeks, the Ravens have their bye-week, sure. If you want to take him over Jalen Hurts, he's averaging four points per game more than Jalen Hurts, sure. Uh, same thing with Jalen Daniels. If you want to, if you wanted to rank Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback two rest of season, the tier for me right now is Allen is at one. Lamar, Daniels, Mahomes, and Hurts are the next four guys after him. And then you get into like the Caleb Williams, the Prescotts, the Mayes, the Mayfields. We were talking about this off-camera, but Allen is the superhuman, the two to five is like the fantasy superstars, and then the six through nine is the strong starters because after that, once you get 10 on like Herbert, Nix, Jared Goff, etc., you're kind of at the streamer range.
Yeah. Yeah. I, I still stand by the fact that Lamar is going to be back after the bye. It sounds like there's no issues of him missing any more time except for his bye week, which everybody has. Um, so I still have him ranked at two. And based on the Ravens being one and five and having an easy schedule, I do think it's possible that from week, like we look back on this season, we go from week eight onward, Lamar Jackson averaged 29 fantasy points a game or something like that. They're kind of almost in like Cowboys territory with how bad their defense is and how bad they're going to have to un-cork it and Lamar's going to have to put his team on his back. So that's why I think that Lamar Jackson is the single biggest trade target in all of fantasy football right now is that you can get a superstar quarterback at a discount because of the injury and because of how bad the team is when I think he's going to really produce. So I can't put Mahomes ahead of him yet, but if Lamar is like not back after the bye or like reaggravates the injury or something, obviously Mahomes would go up to QB2 there. So, uh, yeah, he absolutely deserves to be on the rise and I was a little bit stubborn with raising him before.
Yeah, I think I was too. I was perfectly content having him, you know, quarterback five range, but actually doing the thing and putting him into that tier with those other guys, I just simply was kind of apprehensive on. But if he's going to keep running like this, too, I think that's the number one thing. 37 rushing yards per game, 67 rushing touchdowns per game. If you're getting over 30 rushing yards per game along with, you know, potentially a 30, 35 passing touchdown pace, like we're legitimately talking about Josh Allen.
Yeah. Yeah. And he's having like one of those vintage Mahomes years that we used to draft him as, you know, a second-round redraft pick for.
Yeah. And in some leagues, if you're, you know, your work league, like 2019, like he probably went like the 106, the 107 in some of those leagues.
Yeah, probably. Um, the last two guys we have are two rookies, so we could kind of rattle through them quick. Matthew Golden is your guy who had a breakout game against me. Uh, of course, because I had to play against him, his first game where he actually posts like over, you know, 13 PPR points. Didn't have an exceptional game, but, um, like you're going to kind of make reference to, there's a lot of breadcrumbs that lead you to Matthew Golden having even better days going forward.
Yeah. On this channel, we always talk about, you know, how can we spot a breakout? How can we, you know, make that determination, make that prediction that a young player is about to could truly, truly break out into a star. Matthew Golden, he's by no means a finished product yet. Like when you look at the overall snaps, like we said, okay, maybe after the bye-week we'd have a, you know, a jump in route share. He actually still only ran 68% of the routes. But the thing that gets you excited is that when he's on the field, the Packers clearly have a plan for him. 22% targets per route this week, 19% target share, 43% of the share on third and fourth downs. And more importantly, we're seeing the designated deep shots. We're seeing this guy 35% air yard share in these last two weeks being used and coordinated down the field. In his last two games as a rookie wide receiver, he has had 160 yards from scrimmage. And as we know with the Packers offense, this is going to be a top, you know, seven to 10 type of offense rest of season. And Jordan Love has been playing some very good football. Sure, there's target competition. Romeo Doubs probably going to have a role moving forward. Tucker Kraft, we know is in an advantage at the tight end position, but it's clear that the Packers have a plan for Matthew Golden, and if he can just kind of put it all together, be that type of player on a consistent basis, like I said, 80 yards from scrimmage per game in the last two games he's played.
Yeah. No, he, you got to feel really good about him if you've been stashing him the last couple of weeks. It's, it's pretty much straightforward. I, I wouldn't quite put him to wide receiver 31 because if I had to move him ahead of like, you know, Jordan Addison, T. Higgins, Ricky Pearsall, Terry McLaurin types, I just wouldn't quite go that far yet. But I will definitely get there the more his usage continues to rise because the, the role that he could really carve out in this offense is is a valuable one.
You know what? It, it does remind me of kind of how Jayden Reed came on in his rookie season. Like there, I understand the Packers are always going to like make that connection because of course Jayden Reed did it with Green Bay as well. But I'm just looking at it like Matthew Golden was a better comparative prospect than Jayden Reed. Matthew Golden obviously also a 4.2, 4.3 level speed player. Matthew Golden can contribute on all three levels and both were kind of inhibited by their overall snap shares. I honestly just think in the context of the Green Bay offense, despite the rotation, we have seen explosive players work.
Yeah. The one maybe small concern is that Christian Watson sounds like he's going to come back soon and that could factor into the receiver rotation, but I think that would affect Dontayvion Wicks more than anybody else. I think that Golden is going to continue to see his role grow. I think Romeo, like I, you know me, I drafted a [ __ ] ton of Romeo Doubs on Underdog and he has a three touchdown game already under his belt. So, I feel pretty good about that call. But yeah, uh, I do think Romeo is going to have a pretty consistent role all season. 10 to 13 PPR points a game and, uh, and Golden should continue to rise even if Christian Watson's a factor going forward. Um, my rookie that I have on the rise here is Harold Finner. Tight end 18 for me before the week. He's now tight end 12 in my rest of season rankings. David Njoku's hurt. He suffered a knee hyperextension, thigh bruise type of issue. And as we know about David Njoku and, uh, from the Dynasty offseason, you and I definitely disagreed on David Njoku's, um, standing over Harold Finner. I was very much on the side of, I'm buying into Harold Finner. I don't know what's going to happen with David Njoku, but I know that Finner was a high enough pick, a good enough prospect that he's gonna make David Njoku expendable. And he is now the subject of trade discussions as well for teams that are potentially looking for tight ends. The Browns have a bye in week nine. So there's a good chance if David Njoku is banged up, that they might, you know, hold him out the next two games and we might get starting tight end Harold Finner for the next two games. And like I said, maybe going into the trade deadline, they actually move off of David Njoku. In week six, 81% of the snaps, 22 snaps at the tight end position, 31 from the slot, 70 wide, one from the backfield. We know this about Finner, he can be used all over the formation. 10 targets, which was the second most on the Browns behind Jerry Jeudy had 13. Seven catches for 81 yards, I believe. Jeudy had like 45 yards on his 13 targets. So, he was way more efficient. He's a young piece that this offense can get excited about, can build around. And more importantly, too, D'Eriq King and Sean Sanders, if he ever gets into the game, are conservative quarterbacks. They're going to throw over the middle to an easy target like Harold Finner like crazy to me. So, I am very much all in on Finner being a rest of season tight end one legitimately.
Yeah. Um, again, we'll end up seeing what happens. You know, for example, uh, if Zach Ertz has a huge game, you know, Cole Kmet, maybe breaks out this week. Like there's a couple other tight ends in that range, but he's definitely in that conversation. I have Harold Finner at 14. He is one of the heads of the tier with like a guy like Hunter Henry. I have Mason Taylor in this tier as well. Obviously a bad game on that game against London, but I do like his role as a top two weapon in the Jets moving forward as well. I do have him behind Finner and I just wanted to give Mason Taylor some shout. Um, Hawkinson's in that tier. Juwan Johnson, I dropped all the way down here. Like Juwan Johnson's at 18 for me.
Lower than that, dude.
Um, I don't know what to do with him. Like he.
Drop. He's useless.
But like we know what he's capable of too.
We know what he's capable of when Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau aren't out there. We don't know what he's capable of when he's in a three-way tight end time share.
Yeah. I mean, like I'm curious what his snaps look like this week. Um.
They dropped last week when Was first active. Like I don't know. My thought process on Juwan Johnson was like, "Oh, it was a fun stretch of time if you drafted him late in baseball and you got some early season production out of him. You're you're happy about that." But I, I never ever thought that Juwan Johnson was going to be a league winner this year.
Yeah. No, I don't disagree. Yeah, regardless though, I mean, Injoku kind of dropped into that area with Juwan Johnson. But like I said, Hawkinson, Kmet, Taylor, Finner, Hunter Henry, and then the tier above them, I have Kelce, Pitts, Goedert, Waller, Kincaid, and LaPorta.
We are spoiled at tight end this year, man. We are spoiled. Like, I'm not kidding. Like, I know there's been guys that have been, you know, disappointing and that kind of thing, especially the early round tight ends, but like, dude, my tight end like 20 and 21 rest of season are like Michael Mayer and Dalton Kincaid, who have upside. Like, you know what I mean? Like there's, there's guys that are legit upside pieces whether it's rookie tight ends or second-year tight ends or, um, even just sturdy veteran guys like your Dallas Goederts, your Travis Kelces, your Darren Wallers of the world. Like the tight end position, there's so many usable streamers right now that it just doesn't make sense to, um, you know, spend up to trade for a tight end unless you're truly getting like a nice discount on like a Trey McBride or a Brock Bowers or somebody like that. So, um, for me, yeah, Harold Finner, think about it this way. 10 points per game, tight end 12 through your first six career NFL games when you were sharing the field with David Njoku and you were a raw ass rookie coming out of Bowling Green. Like from a dynasty perspective, holy cow, man. Like this guy has to be valued, in my opinion, like as like a top 10 dynasty tight end right now because his profile plus what he's done through the first six games indicate to me that if Njoku doesn't get dealt during the season, he's absolutely played his last year in Cleveland, at the very least.
Yeah, 100%. So, those were our guys that are rising up our rankings. A little bit of a modest week in terms of risers, I would say. We had a hard time coming up with some of these guys because it wasn't like a bunch of breakout players.
Typical. All had great games. Like, like realistically, are we going to rank, I mean, I know your answer, but like George Pickens, I wanted to raise him and then I saw him at a wide receiver 12. Like, where else am I going to raise him to? Sure, I can move him up to 11, 10, whatever. Like, is that really a significant talking piece? He's been balling out and he continued to ball out.
Yeah. Unprompted. Danny talks about the Cowboys. Um, but yeah, those are some guys that are rising up our rankings. Who did we miss?
