Google has been on fire lately, dropping experimental AI projects completely for free. We've seen Jules, an asynchronous AI coding engineer, and Stitch, an AI designer agent. These tools are available to anyone completely free of charge.
But what if I told you that there is a hidden AI coder, one that almost nobody has tapped into that's been sitting right under our noses the whole time? It's called the Google AI Studios App Builder. This is an AI coding agent powered by Gemini that can build and code out anything and yet hardly anyone knows it exists.
With this app builder, you can go from a text prompt to a working front-end web app all inside your browser. Think of it as an AI powered rapid app generator. Just describe what your app idea is in plain natural language and Gemini will generate the front-end code typically with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. From there, you can review the code and ask Gemini to tweak it or deploy it instantly. And if you want more control, there's even a built-in code editor so that you can fine-tune and customize everything yourself.
This app builder that Google AI Studio has isn't just your typical web app generator. This is where it's able to develop high-quality apps. This is a home canvas app where you can simply go ahead and drag and drop and visualize any product into your personal space. So, in this case, I can take this lamp as an example of a product that I want to add to my bedroom. This is just an example bedroom, and I'm placing it within the nightstand to see how this product would look. And you can see that it looks pretty decent.
This is a qualitative app that was fully generated leveraging the capabilities of the Gemini suite of tools, whether that is the Gemini 2.5 flash image model or the Gemini 2.5 Pro to code out different components of your app. It's really easy to get started. Just head over to Google AI Studio. This is something that you can create an account with your Google account and you can simply easily head over to the build tab which is where you can access and build apps with Gemini.
You can either start from a template or you can go ahead and create something with plain natural language. So in this case, if I want to create something like create me a SAS landing page, I can go ahead and send in this prompt while also adding different files so that it could reference it. But now I can send it this prompt and the app builder will work on planning and building out the app structure for the SAS landing page. So it looks like it has developed the plan and now it's going to rapidly work on iterating on my idea to create the SAS landing page where you can actually see a live visualization of the code being written for this app to be functional. And within a couple seconds, we're going to be able to see a preview on the right-hand side. And there we go. We have our SAS landing page fully developed. And this was something that was fully built with the AI studio app builder.

You can even save this project. You can copy it. You can work with it with GitHub. And this is where you can even share it around with others.

And remember guys, whatever I'm doing right now is completely free while accessing these state-of-the-art models. You have a showcase of different sorts of apps that have been built with this builder, but you can also start off with a template. This is where you can obviously start off with natural language. But there are different components that you can work with as a template with the app builder like code execution or you can use something like streaming responses with images as well as text using the image gen template embeddings and etc.
But just to take a look at a couple of these different apps that have been built with this builder, let's take a look at this pass forward one. This is where you can generate yourself through different decades. This is a pretty funny one, but this is where I provided a picture of Trump and it is being shown in different decades, different styles and different attributes to that decade.
Here is a pretty cool app which is a chat with docs app that was built with the builder and this is essentially where you can chat with Gemini to explore and understand the Gemini API documentation using the URL context tool that the builder utilized. So in this case, you can chat with all of these different docs a part of the Gemini studio. So I can ask it something, how do I get started with something and the app will display and stream an answer based off the prompt that I'm asking it on. And there we go. Just like that, we have gotten a content back from the agent. And essentially, this is how you can chat with your documents, URLs, as well as different files.
This is a Gemini OS app where you can simulate a computer with the UI that is generated dynamically based off the user interactions. And this is a pretty cool app that was fully generated with a single prompt. Guys, there's so many different apps like this that you can build with this vibe coder. And it's something that not a lot of people actually know about.
Right now I have given it a prompt to build an automated code review tool that uses Gemini to review the code and actually provide feedback. And right now you can see that it is using the Gemini 2.5 Pro and it has been running for 35 seconds. It uses reasoning to get the current plan generated with its thinking process and it creates an action item as to what it needs to do. And if you hover over it, it'll actually showcase what it's working on and why it's working on that particular task. But right now, I love how you can get a live stream of what is happening and what is being generated.
If you want, you can go back into the chat panel and request a certain edit and then the Gemini 2.5 Pro will actually take that edit and work on implementing a change based off of the natural language prompt that you had sent in. And there we go. Quite rapidly, it was able to build out this Gemini code reviewer, which looks pretty cool as it added a landing page. And then I can click on get started. This kind of looks a little too out of place, but it's fine. But if you scroll down, you have your code reviewer where you can click on review code and it's going to provide a review analysis for different programming languages. So you can select JavaScript, HTML, and many others which I'll showcase in a second. And right now we have gotten a lot of different suggestions for this code snippet that we have provided. But in the same manner, you can provide different sorts of program languages and then upload your code over here and then just simply click on review code.
This is a pretty qualitative app that was fully generated within a couple of seconds, which is why I believe this builder is pretty underrated cuz not only could you generate apps for free, but you can do it rapidly with state-of-the-art models and this way you can easily copy the code and save it locally and iterate it on it further with your IDE.
