Narcissists will take advantage of good-hearted people, and they have a real talent for pushing good people to their absolute limit. Good people have breaking points too, and when the narcissist succeeds at pushing this person over the edge, as they so often do, they love to then kick back and watch this person break and crumble. Not only does this make the narcissist feel powerful and superior, but it is also an amazing tactic to get the focus off of them and all of the horrible things they have done, and on to you. We are usually completely unaware that this entire thing has been an intentional, methodical, and calculated takedown by a very dangerous, pathological, psychopathic abuser.
