Now, is any of this historically accurate? Almost certainly not in the literal sense. There's no credible evidence that Jesus had descendants or that the Merovingians descended from him. But here's why this matters. Whether or not it's true, people believe it. Elite circles apparently believe they carry sacred bloodlines. They structure their marriages, their rituals, their entire worldview around the idea that their blood is special, chosen, divine. And this belief shapes behavior. If you believe you're descended from gods or from Christ himself, you'll behave differently than if you see yourself as just another human. You'll see yourself as having the right, even the responsibility, to rule over those with inferior bloodlines.
The Merovingian myth represents the spiritual justification for bloodline power. It says these families don't just have more money or better connections. They have divine right.
