Okay, let's get right into it. The 10 10 10 Heroic Transformation Accelerator. This is the first 30 days. You're going to get a lesson every day. This next four weeks will be beautiful, inspirational, extremely valuable, and intense as we lock and install the beliefs, routines, habits, ways of being to get you to everyday heroism in the important areas of your life.
So, the 10 10 10 Heroic Tran... My messy, my writing is a little messy, but bear with me. Heroic Trans... for mason excel... er... re tour. This is essentially a calibrated process that from between today and 30 days from today will help you remember who you truly are. It'll help you build intimacy with your highness. It'll help you access your gifts, your talents, and your powers that maybe in the busyness of life or the complexity of life you've forgotten.
When we were little kids, we had sparkling eyes. We dreamt great dreams. We were vulnerable and open and loving. We were incredibly creative. We were full of energy. We were alive. We could connect with people. You have 10 kids in the playground, no matter where they're from and the color of their skin and their gender, five minutes later it's like, "Here's my new best friend."
But as adults, we forget who we truly are. And we, we start giving up on ourselves. And we become burdened. And we become scarred from the missteps of life. And we develop these responsibilities. We have mortgages to pay, and we have bills, and we go to work, and we sit in traffic. And then we lose our sense of magic.
In these next 30 days, I'm going to share with you how to get the magic back through becoming an everyday hero. Here's how it's going to work.
The first 10 days, so 0 to 10, is very much focused. So that's day 1 to day 10. It's very much focused on activating your positivity. It's going to be very advanced because positivity sounds very simple, but it's a process to help you become more confident, more powerful, more of a possibilitarian, and someone who actually accesses your agency to get big things done in good times and bad. So it's about activating positivity.
From day 10 to day 20, this is the second part of the 10 10 10 Heroic Transformation Accelerator, your first 30 days with me as your everyday hero mentor. So from day 10 to day 20 is very much about maximizing your productivity. We live in a world where people are suffering from what I call broken focus syndrome. There are too many cyber zombies on the planet. You can change the world, or you can play with your phone. You can't do both. And yet, there are so many people spending the best hours of their days on social media, watching race car drivers and speed cams, watching people do interesting dances with their family members, looking at selfies of people on vacation where maybe they're not really living those kinds of lives.
And what I'm trying to suggest to you is during this, from day 10 to day 20, I'm going to help you break free of any addiction you might have to technology. I'm going to help you learn how to set up your work rooms and the workflows that allow you to consistently work in flow state. Flow is a term created by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi of the University of Chicago many years ago, and it's essentially the state of transient hypofrontality, or your prefrontal cortex, the seat of human reasoning and thinking. It's called the crown jewel of the human brain's evolution, but it's also the source of worry, it's the source of rumination, it's the source of the inner critic. But when you get into flow state, you actually temporarily shut down the prefrontal cortex. That's transient in the term transient hypofrontality. So for a short period of time, the prefrontal cortex, the intellect, shuts down, and you drop into a deeper state of thinking, the state that the great geniuses consistently inhabit. And you start to create a pharmacy of mastery in your brain. Your brain goes from beta down to alpha, down to theta state, where you begin to access world-class ideas that allow you to change the game.
And so in these 10 days, I'm going to walk you through how to maximize your productivity in this world where so many people are busy being busy. They wake up in the morning, the first thing they do is they check their email, and literally their whole day is one long escape from doing real work. Another key point, I know I'm giving you a lot of information, but there's a huge difference between real work and fake work. Victims, complainers, too many members of the majority are busy being busy. They're doing fake work versus real work. It takes them one week to get done what most people, what A-players can get done in a day. These are not bad people at all. These are people who are addicted to technology, and checking their phones and looking at social media feeds makes them feel they're making progress, but actually puts them into a deeper grave.
From day 20 to day 30, from day 20, from day 20 to day 30, this again is the 10 10 10 Heroic Transformation Accelerator. Ten, that's the first 10 days where it's all about activating positivity. The next 10 days, from day 10 to day 20, we are going to go deep in helping you maximize your productivity to truly heroic levels, so you get more done in a day than most people get done in a week, or maybe even two or three weeks. And why would you do that? It's not only to get amazing results so you lead your field. You're going to feel happier. It's such a paradox, but we actually have more joy when we're doing and achieving difficult things. People who are loafing, they think, "Okay, you know, I'm spending a lot of time watching streaming videos every night and playing with video games and chit-chatting with my friends on different texting apps," and they think, "Okay, you know, this is a great recipe for a happy life." Actually, a happy life comes from achieving hard things. Happy life comes from pouring magic into the universe and into your marketplace that makes people's lives better. That is wonderful. Happiness comes from saying, "I'm going to do this project. I'm going to be really productive," versus doing fake work and being busy being busy, so that I'm actually honoring my human gifts. So when I get to the end of my career, in the end of my life, I've actually materialized my heroism. I've actually manifested my genius. It's such a paradox, but doing difficult things makes you much happier.
And then the final part of the 10 10 10 Heroic Accelerator, that first month that we're working together, the next four weeks is all about serving the world. Serving the world. So many people are talking about legacy these days. I wrote a book 22 years ago called "Who Will Cry When You Die?" It was very much about legacy. What will people say about you at your funeral? Who will cry when you die? How will the generations who will follow you speak about you? Well, in the passage of time, as a much older man before you here right now, I think that legacy is an ego's pursuit. Legacy is a lot like worrying about getting your name on a hospital wing. Legacy is about what people will remember you for. I don't think it's important to be remembered after you're dead. After we are dead, we will be a pile of dust, or in a coffin, or in an urn on someone's mantle in their family room, next to pictures of them playing baseball or having their great vacation pictures. That's why I love reading Marcus Aurelius's Meditations. Every time I come here to Rome, I go to the same bookstore, I pick up another copy, and I reread it again because I learn it even more deeply every time I go through it. Marcus Aurelius, the great Roman Emperor, the benevolent Roman Emperor, one of the greatest rulers of all time, and he wrote a lot in that book about the shortness of life. He wrote a lot in that book, you know, living an entire life for a line on a tombstone. And that's where I think too many people get caught up chasing the wrong things. They are living their lives designed for legacy, living their lives designed to be remembered by the generations who will follow.
Here's an incredible paradox: When you don't worry about legacy, and you, you are much more interested in serving the world and using the rest of your life as an instrument of service, when you are really obsessed and on fire to do beautiful work for your customers and your stakeholders, when you live your days deeply devoted, viscerally devoted, emotionally committed to leaving every person you meet better than you found them, uplifting every person you meet, seeing the best in everyone, when you live your days in a way designed to make the world a better place, you know, even if you see a little piece of litter in a park, you pick it up. You be the one to pick it up. Or you see someone who needs help on a bus. Or you know, there was something recently. I am, I was in a park in my hometown, and there was a woman who ran by. Five minutes, five minutes later, I walked to the large part of the park. She ran by me on the trail. So now I get to the large part of the park, and I see the woman, and she's keeled over. Her knees, I wish I could, you know, maybe get on the table and show you, but that wouldn't be a pretty picture. But she was bent, bent, she had her knees bent with her shins on the grass, and she was bent over. And I thought she was in distress. And I'm not saying, and I'm anyone special, please don't get me wrong. You know, I have my flaws, but I do work very, very hard to become a better person every day. So I see her, and I thought she was in distress. So I walked over to her and I said, "Can I help you?" And she smiled at me and she said, "No, no, I'm just doing my, my yoga posture." All I'm trying to say is, if you spend your days looking for ways to be helpful, you will do your part to build a better world. And that's really what everyday heroism is all about.
In the book, I talk about a Quaker missionary who, who I'll paraphrase what, what he said, but it's essentially, "If I have a chance to do something good for another human being today, may I do it, because I may not have the chance again."
Towards the end of the Everyday Hero Manifesto, I share an experience I had with Pau Gasol when he was the center of the Los Angeles Lakers, and he came to one of my live events. He, that weekend, he came to have dinner at home with me and my family. We had an absolutely wonderful time. After the weekend event was over, I drove him to the airport, and I just, I, I saw the kind of man that he is. We're walking through the terminal, and so many people recognized him. Little kids came over, adults came over. Some wanted pictures, some wanted autographs. He stopped for every single one of them. You've heard that term, "Don't meet your heroes," because often it's disappointing. Well, this gentleman stopped for everyone who came up to him. And as we got to his gate, I said, "Pau, you know, you just had time for everyone. You looked everyone in the eye. You listened to them." In a world of people who love talking and hearing this out of their own voice. And he said, "You know, Robin, it takes so little to make someone happy."
So from day 20 to day 30, we're going to talk about serving the world. Now, serving the world is not only about altruism. Towards the end of the 30 days, we're going to get into some very intense transformational ideas on how you can have a massive impact on millions of people. You don't have to. If that doesn't suit you, I don't think you're any less of a human being if you serve 10 people versus a billion people. But before we get into impact, over those last 10 days, again, the 10 10 10 Heroic Transformation Accelerator, we're going to surprisingly get into the hidden habits of billionaires. We're going to get into prosperity. We're going to get into, and you might say, "Why are we going to get into prosperity?" You might say, "Robin, why are we going to talk about the eight forms of wealth?" Robin, why are we going to talk about an AWC, an AWC lifestyle, which is basically you not only working all the time, but taking beautiful travels, living in a lovely home for you and your family, having all the material possessions you want?" You might say, "How do you align that, Robin, with serving the world?" And I would suggest to you, we are sensual, sensory. The French have a term called an "esthète," that is someone who loves beauty. I think it's very spiritual to eat beautiful food, fresh organic food. I think it's very spiritual to stay in a lovely hotel room because you can afford to do things for your family. I think it's very spiritual, very honorable to enjoy the beautiful things the universe has provided to us. Isn't it just a judgment label that a sunset is more beautiful than a beautiful meal? It's all beauty. It's all the universe's creation. So be in this, be, be part workhorse, part esthète, part warrior, part poet. This is sort of, it's taken me years to arrive at a place where there's nothing wrong with enjoying the material pleasures of life and the beautiful elements of life. Why would you want to miss out on the fruits of your labor? Having said that, you also don't want to be a slave to do those things. And maybe the most powerful idea is when you build prosperity, you can serve your family, take, send them to a great school, take them to great trips that shape their characters, especially for your children. When you build prosperity, you can protect your family, you can make, you can give things, you can make things more free. And very importantly, when you build prosperity, you can serve the world. You can get involved in philanthropy, you can write checks for students who have, who, who have no money but they have big dreams. So serving the world comes in many fashions, in many ways.
In the last 10 days of the first 30 days of the Heroic Transformation Accelerator are all about these three key elements: Number one, activating world-class positivity. Number two, maximizing your productivity. Number three, serving the world while you create a beautiful life that you truly love.
