Why Are Leftists STILL Crazy?!

Many of them feel they're on a team, and that team is fighting the right. A religious orthodox mindset has overtaken it. We did a study in my lab first of all showing that left-wing authoritarianism, you could identify a coherent set of beliefs statistically that were associated with so-called progressive causes allied with the willingness to impose them using force, fear, force, and compulsion.

>> Why are leftists still so crazy? Mr. [music] Reagan. Now, you may have noticed that leftists seem intent on saying a lot of things that don't make any sense. And it almost seems baffling. Now, I think most people just assume that, you know, leftists are idiots. Or maybe people assume that uh you know, leftists are very gullible, which I think actually for many of them this is true. However, I think there is a much deeper and much more insidious reason that leftists commonly say things that don't make any sense. And here in this video, I'm going to lay out exactly what it is. So, you will be able to decode all the crazy stuff that leftists say from here on out. Because let me tell you guys, this is not just leftists saying dumb things. This all fits into a broader philosophy a philosophy which is as I said dangerously insidious. And this philosophy is not just a fringe idea anymore. It used to be a fringe idea about 10 years ago, but in recent years it has become the dominant ideology of the left in America. And I would actually call it more than just an ideology because it's it's more like a religion now. Because it's not just a philosophical framework. It has a defined set of ethics, and it's all based on a mythological history. This philosophy has a mythology. So, by some definitions, this is now a religion. I know we say that a lot of times about the left, but I think it's actually true. And one of the tenets of this new religion is the total eradication of Christianity and even the traditional Christian European ethic in Western civilization. And if you think I'm joking, keep watching because I'm going to prove it.

But before we get into all that, I have to sell you something. America needs uranium. All right. So, before we get into this new leftist religion, let me look at a couple of relevant examples of leftists saying stupid things. The other day, the former astronaut and current US Senator Mark Kelly said one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. It would be a disaster. Now, this is stupid for several reasons, but the dumbest thing about it, we know that he cannot possibly believe that what he is saying is true. I mean, he himself is a white man. And he's manned space missions before, and guess what? His crew was all straight white men. Clearly, this was not the last thing he wanted. The last thing a rational person should want on a space mission would be an incompetent crew, not a white crew, not a male crew, an incompetent crew. Because white and male does not equal incompetent. In fact, white men have actually proven consistently to be the most competent astronauts. NASA's early programs like Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, during each of these programs, they selected crews strictly on merit. And those crews were uniformly straight white men. And these guys achieved every major milestone. First orbital flight, first spacewalk, first lunar landing, anything but incompetent. In fact, no diverse crew has ever outperformed these guys by any conceivable metric. The statement is so ridiculous that it's gone viral on X in recent days. People just cannot believe that a guy who was able to achieve success on his own merit would promote the idea that we stop rewarding people based on merit. It just seems too absurd to be real, and yet it is. He said it.

Another post uh by a guy on X called Humble Flow was just reposted by Elon Musk. And it says, "A white South African whose family has been in Africa for 400 years is a colonizer with no homeland, but a man who crosses the US border illegally yesterday is a fellow American with full moral authority." And again, this seems totally absurd. And the whole immigrant rights thing isn't just true about America, it's true about like every white country. The contrast between the ideas that if you're white, you have no way to ever claim any land anywhere, but if you're a person of color, you should be afforded all rights and accommodation by every white nation without question. That contrast illustrates the absurdity of leftist thinking. But there's a ton of this stuff. You guys know all of these things, but let's just go through them quickly. The left claims that men can become women, that they should compete in women's sports, use women's prisons and bathrooms, and that they can even get pregnant or breastfeed. The left claims that math, punctuality, merit, and the concept of objectivity itself are all tools of white supremacy. That's all real. The left claims that our concept of beauty isn't real, but socially constructed and must be deconstructed because white men are bad. And the left claims that obesity is not unhealthy, and if you think it is, well then you're fat phobic. And perhaps most prominently, the left claims that all differences in every demographic group outcome, differences in income or crime, education, or family structure, this all stems solely from systemic racism or the patriarchy, never from culture, behavior, or average group traits, or just the choices people make. No, no, no, it's all systemic bigotry. But not in sports that black people are good in, but everything else. We always point this stuff out as completely insane, of course, but we never really understand why the left keeps pushing these crazy ideas. Well, as I promised, I'm going to explain the logic behind their absurd arguments, which all stem from their new religion, which I call the academic secular ethic. Because it really came out of universities, secular because it's atheistic, and ethic because they want it to replace Christianity. For about 1,500 years from the end of the Roman Empire, about 500 AD, to the end of the 20th century, Western civilization was developed entirely within the parameters of the Christian European ethic. Some atheist scholars try to dismiss the value of Christianity in facilitating the development of Western civilization, but the reality is that this is not just theoretical. This is established fact. The development of Western civilization was absolutely facilitated by a strong Christian devotion, universally observed throughout every country and every culture in Europe and throughout the broader Western world. It is plausible that Western civilization would have developed far slower or in a much different way had some other philosophy or religion been adopted. And it's even possible that it may never have fully developed at all.

Now, in the early 21st century, the time in which we are living right now, a profound and corrosive philosophical shift has fundamentally reshaped the institutions of the West, moving from a foundation of objective truth and merit with the European Christian ethic to a new and insidious left-wing atheistic moral system. As I mentioned before, I call this the academic secular ethic or the academic secular ethical framework. Most people just call it woke. This framework functions as a decentralized unwritten religion that seeks to replace the traditional Christian Western operating system. >> When you throw out a sophisticated religious structure, an unsophisticated religious structure comes in to fill the gap. I do think that's true. Okay. Okay. So, that's definitely worth thinking about. So, And it seeks to replace it with a radical mythology of power and an ethic with a single motivation, systemic retribution. This phenomenon is characterized by two primary pillars, a fabricated mythological history and a vicious set of ethics designed to dismantle the very people and ideas that built civilization. And the people I'm referencing, of course, are straight white men. The mythological history of the academic secular ethical framework stems from critical theory, postmodernism, feminism, queer theory, and critical race theory, along with other related disciplines. And this mythology claims that Western history is not a story of progress, but a sinister plot by evil straight white men. These folks claim that straight white men intentionally constructed every social norm and every institution as a Machiavellian tool to maintain their own power structures in perpetuity. Race wasn't discovered by humans and then used for evil. It was invented by humans and then used for evil. And the study of how those racist laws have racist outcomes is called critical race theory. It's really not that scary. >> This narrative is essentially a hypothesis fiction or as I like to call it, a fever dream of bigoted intellectuals. There is no historical evidence for any such insidious coordinated conspiracy or of anyone ever having any motivation or intention that was anything like this at all. In [snorts] fact, the only people that have ever tried to do anything like this at any point in history are the academics themselves who have proposed it. The true history of the world, as proven by psychology and anthropology, human biology, as well as written history, is that social norms are developed through functional necessity. For instance, the traditional division of labor where women focused on domestic spheres and men worked outside the home, this was not a product of sexism as feminists claim, but rather a rational response to our biological reality. Women endure periods of physical vulnerability during menstruation, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. And so, it was always naturally logical for them to be protected within an engineered home to do the domestic chores inside. Conversely, men, possessing greater physical strength and lacking those specific vulnerabilities, were better suited for the high-risk tasks of hunting and farming and defending the family from rival tribes. To label these functional adaptations as oppressive social constructs is to ignore thousands of years of human evolution in favor of a political fantasy.

So, now there is an entire ethical system that has been derived from this mythology, the academic secular ethical framework. And this ethical system establishes a moral binary, good guys and bad guys. More specifically, the straight white men are claimed to be evil oppressors, while every other demographic is viewed as an innocent marginalized victim. And this creates a hierarchy of oppression where moral authority is granted based on how many victim boxes a person can tick. If you're black, you're oppressed. If you're a black woman, you're really oppressed. And if you're a black Muslim transgender woman, well, then you're at the very top of that oppression hierarchy. You're the best person in the world. Straight white men, incidentally, we are not even on the list. We're We're not even on the bottom. We're off to one side because we're worse than not oppressed. We are the oppressors. So, this whole thing, everything about this whole ideology, philosophy, religion, whatever you want to call it, it's all about just vicious, nasty bigotry and hatred of straight white men. That's all it boils down to. And as I said, all of this used to be a fringe belief. Andrew Breitbart wrote that he had learned about this stuff at Tulane University and he graduated way back in 1991. But the reason all of this is relevant today is because it's no longer a fringe belief. It's no longer even simply a bad influence on the left. This is now the dominant ideology of the left. We are fundamentally religious creatures. We're built for religion. And so, let's get a bunch of social scientists talk about immigration. What are they going to do? Look at the data, weigh up the plusses and minuses? No. Many of them feel they're on a team and that team is fighting the right. Therefore, that justifies us in being pro-immigration. The left used to be able to think straight about immigration. Clearly, it had a you know, it was generally pro-immigration, but it used to be able to think straight. But in the last few years, a religious orthodox mindset has overtaken.

Now, as I mentioned before, one of the imperatives of the academic secular ethical framework is the total eradication of Christianity. The proponents of this framework claim that Christianity is merely a tool of the sinister white men of history, that these evil white men used it to control and oppress women and gays and other ethnicities and therefore, Christianity must be destroyed. But this would, of course, be catastrophic. Christianity has been demonstrably proven to be the most beneficial philosophy in human history, facilitating the development of Western civilization and the scientific revolution. Furthermore, by stripping humanity of an acknowledgement of the Christian God, the academic secular ethical framework removes the only fundamental basis for objective ethics. Without a divine creator, there is no true north for morality. Everything becomes randomness and chaos where nothing is inherently good or bad and ethics are merely a fluctuating whim of those in power. What you have, especially on the psychopathic narcissistic fringes of what used to be the left, and you see this on the right as well, is the the momentary self elevated to the status of God. Ultimately, the academic secular ethical framework is a philosophy of destruction. It's not constructive, it is destructive. This is a philosophy that hides the reality of human aptitude by dismissing neutral hierarchies, by framing every achievement of the West as a result of stolen power or artificial constructs. Proponents avoid acknowledging uncomfortable facts that straight white Christian men created the modern world. And believe it or not, this demographic category, guys like me, we are, in fact, valuable. And this, of course, begs the question, why were straight white Christian men able to do all of this when no other demographic could? Well, that is a topic for another video. But one thing we can infer from this is that white men might actually be naturally better suited for success in certain high-stakes areas than other demographic groups. This is not only shown by history, but also by a broad variety of aptitude tests. But that is an ugly reality. Everything I do in my work is trying to get us off the top of the dock and under there to examine those pillars. Because despite all the on top of the dock, our outcomes have not changed. Right? So, we have to ask ourselves, what's going on? Leftists don't want to accept that white men might simply be more competent in certain areas, and so it's better for them to claim that all discrepancies in any kind of achievement, in every category, everywhere, it's all due to these insidious social constructs that we have used to maintain power structures that give us this massive advantage in society. When you hear terms like systemic racism or the patriarchy, this is what they're talking about. There are no shortcomings for black people or for gay men or for lesbians or for women or for Muslims or for transgenders, because every failure, every struggle, every disappointment, it can all be chalked up to the evil white man holding them down. And look, this is comforting for many people, because it lets them believe the myth they want to believe, that every person from every demographic group around the world has equal potential. We could all theoretically be physicists. We could all be MVP basketball players, if only the evil white man would let us. This equal potential myth is used to justify the deconstruction of meritocracies, just as Senator Mark Kelly advocated in the video that I showed you earlier. But the deconstruction of meritocracies is extremely dangerous, because it results in a massive competency crisis. The academic secular ethical framework is perhaps the most insidious philosophy in the history of humanity, and it is still growing. It's why we see all the idiotic stuff that we see in movies today. This is another topic that I plan to talk about in an upcoming video. And this is why the left seems to consistently say crazy things, even after we have mercilessly ridiculed them for it, daily, on social media. It is baked into their underlying ethical framework. But as I said before, Christianity is the most beneficial philosophy in the history of the world, and it is not even close. And these woke leftists, they want to eradicate it and replace it with their new academic secular ethical framework, centered around a resentful hatred of white men, and based on a fictional mythological history about powerful white men and their invention of power structures. But as I said, this is a destructive ideology, not constructive. And if these ideas win out, humanity is doomed. We have seen this happen throughout history. Critics of Christianity like to compare Christianity to a perfect history, one that we look back on with 20/20 hindsight and say, "Look, this could have happened in this way, uh that was more peaceful, or that more quickly adopted certain scientific ideas, or that happened in a way that, you know, I think could have been better." But you can't compare what has happened in history to an idealized fantasy of the past. You have to compare it to reasonable alternatives. And every alternative option that we could slot into history, from atheism to Confucianism to Islam, it would all have been far worse, far deadlier, far slower to progress, far more violent, and far more destructive. By denying the superior functionality of the Christian European ethical framework, and replacing it with a mythology of resentment, the academic secular ethical framework is actively sabotaging human flourishing. It is a set of ideas born from political pressure and personal resentment, rather than reason or evidence. If this ideology is allowed to continue to infect the world, then we will watch a revolutionary moral coup that will dismantle the very engine of progress that created the modern age, trading a proven system of achievement for a destructive fantasy that rewards identity over ability.

And so, with a lot of my upcoming videos, I think you're going to recognize very quickly why a lot of the things are the way they are in the world today.
