What's up everyone? All right, so in today's episode, I'm going to break down my trades from the morning. I am pleasantly surprised, bordering on shocked to have such a nice green day here. I am currently sitting up $52,5387. Phenomenal. I peaked at 72,000 on the day. So, I gave back about a third of my profit. And in a way to give back $20,000, I mean, that's a lot of money to give back considering I wasn't even up 20,000 on the month coming into today. So, I just gave back more in those last few trades than I've made in the last like week and a half.
But today, the market was hot. And you know what? I had several opportunities today to walk away. I could have walked away when I was up $15,000. That was a green day. Three times the cold market goal. I kept trading. Then I was up 25,000. Could have walked away then. Then I was up 32,000 on the day. Could have walked away then and I didn't. I then took a $6,000 loss and was up 27,000 on the day. Maybe a $5,000 loss. I could have walked away then. I didn't. I stuck around. I kept waiting for good quality trades. And then I rallied all the way up to 45, 55, 65, 72,000. Gave back 10 grand off the top real quick to 61. Gave back another 10 grand to 51, 52. And I said that's it. At that point, I'm done.
And so, I feel like this is really important. There was a comment, uh, I think it was yesterday or maybe the day before on the day that I was up like 25,000 and finished up only about seven or 8,000. Uh, that I, I had pushed it too hard. And I said, you know, on the one hand, you're right. He said, "Yeah, look, you were up $20,000. Why don't you just take that and walk away?" I don't like to cap my green days. I want to cap my red days. I have to cap my loss days, but I don't want to cap my green days because what about days like today where, you know, if I'm just willing to dig deep and trade a little longer, I end up tripling or quadrupling, whatever it might be, my daily goal. The cold market daily goal is five grand. I'm up 10, 10 times that, $52,000. The hot market daily goal is 20 grand. I'm at two and a half times the hot market daily goal. What's confusing, of course, is when you go from cold, cold, cold, cold, cold to hot and then it might go right back to cold tomorrow. But nonetheless, I don't want to cap my green days. So, I take the approach of, uh, really trying to trade as long as I can on the green days. And that means, do I walk away right here? Heck no. Do I walk away right here? Heck no. Do I walk away right here? Heck no. I walk away right there after I give back some profit. So that means my best days will always mean I traded until I gave back a little bit off the top and that was my cue to walk away. And in fact, it's not even just that because I have had, um, many days for instance where I'll have, I'll do well. I'll give back 10%. I'll keep rallying. I give back another 15%. I keep rallying. I give back 30% and certainly if I give back 50%, that's a hard stop. I have to walk away if I give back half my day. I don't want to give back half. But if I give back 25% or about 30%, that's usually the spot where I say, nah, that's a little too much. And so that was my spot today, minus about 30% off the top. And you know what? Yeah, it is a little more than I would have liked to have given back. But it also means I stayed and captured really as much as I possibly could and traded aggressively while the odds were in my favor. And that's the reality with trading. Some days odds are in your favor. You're gonna have really high accuracy. It's a combination. If you got a stock that meets the five pillars of stock selection, it's the most obvious stock in the market. You've got good follow-through, good momentum, and you do well. And then there's other days where the leading gainers are penny stocks, and you know, you don't have anything that you can work with, and doesn't matter how hard you try, it's just not going to happen. So, those are the days to take your foot off the gas and sit tight.
Now, none of that changes the fact that there was an important turning point today. And it was, can you read it? Can we get in focus? Let's see. I think I, I feel like we can. We are capable of getting in focus, but maybe we're not. Well, I'll put it right here. We'll definitely get in focus like that. It was the green shirt. That's right. It was the green shirt that changed the game today. So, many people said, "Ross, um, what kind of shirt exactly are you wearing?" And I said, "Well, I'm wearing a green shirt, but of course, and I know some of you would say that, how is it possible that the market knew that?" I'll tell you guys this, it's kind of like Santa Claus. You know, it's, it's the magic of Christmas. It's the magic of the market. You don't exactly know how it works, but you wear a green shirt, good things are going to happen. So, if you don't already have one, I encourage you to get one real quick and start wearing it every day you come to the market. And if one of you guys have been wearing red shirts for the last couple weeks, well, that might just be the answer to why things have been cold. Don't wear red shirts. You're asking for trouble. In fact, I had a red car. I sold it within 6 months. That car was no good. It was bad luck. Got to get rid of it. So, all right, let's go ahead and jump on the, um, screen share here. Before we do, what about our cool, uh, intro graphic there? All right, so now we can jump onto the screen share.
Okay, so sitting, as you can see, at $52,000 on the day. Um, grateful for that. It's a green day. Uh, however, uh, obviously it's been tricky because the market's been colder these last couple weeks and so I came in this morning feeling a bit cautious. I am red, as you can see, on ADVB, which is annoying. Um, but you know, all is well, it ends well. It's a green day, and I have to be grateful for that. So, first trade of the day was on CF. All right. So, CF, I've seen it hit the scanners before. It's a biotech company, but it's in Israel. And so, I thought, Israeli. I mean, you know, given the conflict that's going on right now, I, I don't even know. I mean, that sounds, I'm not, I'm not sure. So, I was sort of thinking, I don't know if this is going to work at all. Um, but having said that, you know, I, I took an oath, you know, that I would give every stock a fair chance. I wouldn't discriminate based on where they're from. Um, and so, you know, let's give it a chance. And so, it, it initially pops up here from 525 up to about $7 a share. And then it drops back down here, pops back up, dips back down, and right there you get a micro pullback. I didn't do the micro pullback. I still didn't quite trust it. I took my first entry right up here at $7. I got in just under seven. I got out just over seven. 10,000 shares, 25 cents a share, 2500 bucks. Boom. I'm in the green. It dips down again. It comes back up. It dips down again. It comes back up. It dips down again. It comes back up. It dips down again. And I got another trade right here. Right there for another 25 cents a share with 10,000 shares. Boom. Now I'm up 5,000 on the day. All right. Nice. CF. So, broke the ice. Got a little bit of a cushion. And then all of a sudden, look at this rally. It squeezes up right here. And so on this dip, I'm adding, I'm adding, taking profit, pulls back, holds, adding back, taking profit as it squeezes up to 10. Amazing. Didn't expect that at all. It dips down and then it breaks through 10. Goes all the way up to just under $1.50. It pulls back again. Oops. Let's see. So, it pulls back again and this time it dips down a little bit more. It comes back up. We got a double top at about 1150. So, little bit of resistance there. We then break through that double top and we push all the way up to a high right here of just under $14 a share. So that breakout right there, again, a high of day breakout, micro pullbacks, and it squeezes higher and taking profit. It dips down and rallies back up. Now you might say, what about that big seller that we've been seeing? We saw that big seller. We saw that big seller and they sold about 30,000 shares. It was right around $7 and, uh, 8 something like that. And then it kept going higher. And so then I said, "Well, wait a second. If they're already showing that big of a sell order, they're probably already short the stock." And they're showing that big of a sell order because they want to hold it back. Now, they were showing the sell order, but in fact, someone bought up all those shares. So now they're short even more size. So now I'm thinking they're short at least 30,000 shares. They may be short 50,000 shares. So then when it goes up to eight, they're down 30 to $50,000. It goes up to nine, they're down 60 to $100,000. It goes up to 10, up to 11. Holy smokes, this short seller is in the red. And so they start putting out those big sell orders up here. And I thought to myself, you've already shown us your hand. You've already shown us that you're short the stock from down here, and you've been adding and adding and adding. So, no, I don't take your sell order seriously. I don't believe it. And in fact, it was a spoof. They kept pulling the order back. And so what they were doing is if we looked at the level two on this, um, we have, um, we've got the bid, we've got the ask and so it was like $115, 11, you know, 01, um, $10.99, whatever. And this would be 11, uh, 10, 115, 1120. And they were sitting up here with, uh, you know, 18,000 share sell order. But here's the thing that was really interesting. If the price went up to 1120, their an order cancelled and moved up to 1130. If the price dropped down to 11, uh, 01, for instance, their order dropped down to 11, you know, 14 or whatever. It, it continued to stay about 10 sometimes 15 cents outside the current market. And so why would you perpetually keep an order 10 to 15 cents outside the current market? It'll never execute. It'll never get filled. Oh, so then your intention is that the order doesn't fill. So then what's your real intention? To scare people. To put a big sell order to scare people. That's order spoofing. You're not allowed to do that. It's illegal. But traders will do it. Some traders will do it. So the problem is by the time they're doing that, we now know they're showing us exactly what they want us to see. They want us to be scared. But now they've shown their hand. They want us to be scared because they're already short the stock. So what if the stock holds up? What if it keeps pushing higher? Uh-oh, all of a sudden they're in the red. And so the bigger they start showing those orders, they start even showing them up to 90,000 shares. That just to me reaffirmed that this, uh, this they're, they're getting squeezed. And I don't know if it's a trader, an individual trader, or if it's a firm or a hedge fund of some kind, but whoever it was was getting squeezed. So, they got squeezed on CF. And CF ends up squeezing all the way up here to about 1350. And on that squeeze, I made $32,000 on it. Amazing. Finally, a solid green day.
And then VCIG pops up. And VCIG shows the exact same thing. It pops up and initially big sellers up here around four. Well, the big sellers didn't come in a little until a little bit higher, but we had these big sellers. It started up here around 16 and up around $17 a share. So, thought, all right, you know, probably not going to get, uh, too much price action out of this. It ends up selling off. Then, right here, it squeezes. It goes to 18, up to $21 a share. Uh-oh. So, you mean these people who are short right around here at 16, they're down $3 a share, $4 a share. It pulls back and I add right here. I added right there at 21. It goes up to 25. I take my profit. It does a little pullback right there. I add back at 25. It, it ends up, I, I take a loss. Whatever. It's, it is what it is. It pulls back right here. Then it comes back up again. As it breaks through this level, I get back in for the break of 25. Dip right there. Take profit quickly. Add back right there. Take profit quickly. Added back right there. Stopped out. So, doing the same thing. Green, green, green, green, green, red. Giving back a little off the top. No problem. Then it dips back down. I get back in right here. Doesn't really work. Pulls back. Get back in right here. Doesn't really work. Pulls back. I get back in right here. And then I'm adding, adding, adding, adding, adding. Taking profit. Dips down. Goes up to a high. Added back. Stopped out. Gave back about 10,000 off the top. So, that was my first $10,000 drop right up here. I wasn't holding, uh, during this drop, but I was holding up there. So, got myself to up about $38,000 on the day. Uh, and at that time was up 72,000 combined.
And then we had ADVB that hit the scanner. ADVB hit the scanner just as VCIG started to pull back. And I thought, you know, this kind of makes sense. Attention is shifting. So, this pops up. It dips down, but it pops from 540 all the way up to eight. Then it drops right here. Rallies back up. I take the high of day break here. Goes from 8 up to 940, but I got in too high. And as it dropped back down, I gave back the profit I had. So, I was green $7,000 on it initially, and then I flipped from green to red by adding too high. And this one wasn't able to keep pushing higher. It ended up pulling back. It didn't have fresh catalyst, but it was a foreign listed biotech company. It's got a relatively low float of 500,000 shares and a somewhat recent reverse split. So, for those reasons, when it hit the scanner, I was like, "All right, this could work." It kind of fits within the narrative or the profile a little bit of CF and VCIG. In any case, it didn't work, but I'm still going to walk away today with some nice profit. I'm grateful for that. I've got more in my pocket than I had a few hours ago. It's a green day, and I thank the green shirt.
So, as always, manage your risk, take it slow. You guys know my results aren't typical. The last couple weeks have been very slow, but I'm grateful here that we had some good profit, good some some good opportunities, good momentum today. And we'll be back at it first thing tomorrow morning at 7 am Eastern Standard Time. Haven't already checked out the two-week trial, link is in the description. You're welcome to check it out. I'll see you guys in the chat room bright and early streaming at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
