Mars oing our honor um is a relative newcomer to the kabat house. Mars stepped foot into our building on October the 7th of 2024. He saw something here. He saw 800 people. He saw the student life on campus. Um, he saw that whatever he had heard about kabos was real.
"Amara said to me, 'I've really never seen anything like this. You guys are doing an amazing job. How can I help?'" And Marcus accepted to be the guest of honor at tonight's dinner. Marcus is a genuine, real person that sees a need, sees something, and decides not just to be a spe, but to get involved. And tonight, it's a special honor to give the cavod to Marcus orink.
"Being a big fan ofad, I wanted to see how I can get involved and make a difference in life with students of. Well, it was a turo gave me a chance to graduate, but I never actually graduated. Story behind that was I was on Governor Patterson's campaign and I went in as a campaign staffer to president's office and he said, 'Did you ever graduate or where did you graduate from?' I said, 'I only attended your University. I didn't have the money to graduate.' He said, 'Well, that's not possible. That every je boy and girl has to have a degree, and I will give you a scholarship.'" And I did a scholarship to students like me without even knowing who they are to help them out, which is like he did for me 20 years ago, which is d to him.
Same thing at ruers, that you know, kab does certain warmth and love and vibration that people need at that age. You know, looking backwards, but I saw what I love. I haven't been a pal for 20 years. I've never seen in my life anything so enamoring that the housing and the food components, the vibration, the happiness.
"I, well, I go to school there myself, actually. I couldn't be happier here. Congratulate you all. Get involved with K. They make a difference in the lives of people like me. They don't even know me. I don't even know them. It's the power of one person, like Nelson Mandela said." Rabbi and his son convey that message every day, 7 days a week. Amazing campus, incredible hospitality, and friendly staff, the likes of which I've never seen anywhere. I just want congratulations.
