With his fist in the air, the golden bunny. Unlike the. Yeah, although it wasn't golden. I don't know why they didn't make it golden. It was cuz it was I thought it was just like sheet metal. It was a sheet metal bunny.
Oh, it wasn't actually chocolate. What was? No, not the not the giant one, no. It would have melted in the sun. Was CGI back then hard to do like gold or reflection?

Stop it. A giant golden statue of our president. A group of pastors and several Orthodox Jewish leaders attended the um inauguration, installation, dedication, consecration.

Mhm. And um, one of them, the one who put it together, Pastor Mark Burns, who has been labeled by Time magazine as Trump's top pastor.
Mhm. Had to explain. Had to go on Twitter to explain why this golden statue was not like those golden statues, the ones in the Bible that typically aren't good. As they posed in front of the giant golden image, um, he said, "We witnessed an unforgettable moment. Let me be clear. This is not a golden calf."
Well, duh.
If you have to say it, that's a problem.

"Just so there's no confusion, we are not worshipping an idol. We're not. This is not what we're doing. It may look like this is what we're doing, but it's not what we're doing." What is it? Do you want to know what it is?
Mhm. I says, "This is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone. This statue is a celebration of life. Of just life in general."
It's a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength.
So, so Trump's own body is a symbol of freedom now. I don't know about that. Is a symbol of patriotism and strength and the willpower to keep fighting for the future of America. When I first read that, I thought he said will to power and I thought, yeah, that is that is in fact it is a symbol of that. It also stands as a reminder of the hand of God and his protection over President Trump's life. Time and time again when his life was threatened, God's mercy prevailed. It's a celebration of everything that we want to associate with Donald Trump in the form of a golden Donald Trump.
Why golden though, too? It's just ugly.
It's his brand color. Everything he does is gold. Um, have you seen the West Wing in the Oval Office lately?
It's not good.
No. Um, I I was wondering if he if he's really gradually turning the Oval Office into the Holy of Holies.
Oh, no.
And he wants to be inside a completely gold covered wall.
Tacky of tackies, Phil. Yeah. Okay, first of all, I I forget who made this point online. Somebody I saw it. Maybe it was uh Oh, maybe it was me.

Yeah, it may have been Carmen Imes or someone else. I forget. Some Old Testament scholar. The scene of the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai in Exodus, technically, the Israelites were not worshipping a false god because after they make the golden calf, Aaron says, "Here is Yahweh who led you out of Egypt." They they were making an image of the true god and that so they it wasn't.
Right. Similarly, when these pastors surrounded this golden image of Trump and they say, "Well, we're not worshipping Trump. We're we're still worshipping Jesus." Well, fine. You can call call it whatever you want, but the proof is in your behavior. Your allegiance is revealed through your behavior and your rhetoric. And your money.
And your money, exactly. So, fine, if you want to say we're not worshipping a false god because we worship Jesus, the Israelites technically said they weren't worshipping a false god, either, but they were still very guilty of idolatry.
