If it happens according to my wish, it's good, and if it doesn't, it's even better. I thought this made absolutely no sense until it actually happened to me. Hi, I am Mehika, and I booked my tickets for Seoul in January, my second fully self-funded international trip, to attend my dream concert and explore this beautiful city for one week with one of my school friends.
But because of a lot of reasons, her visa did not come on time. And the trip that was supposed to be fun, left me feeling like nothing is happening according to my wish. I felt so anxious and frustrated, but I still made it to Seoul because canceling tickets was not an option.
I was alone there, but still grateful because of everything going on. The world does not need a girl on the internet cribbing about being stuck alone on a vacation in the first place. So I stuck it up, put my tripod in my sling bag, and went around Seoul.
And now, I understand.
