Now, this took three days for the Holy Spirit to get this across to me. I was stuck for three days because I'd never heard it before. And all of a sudden, I thought, Lord, why can't I shake this verse? Let me ask you guys a question. When is the very first time in scripture that we get a glimpse of the resurrection of the saints, the rapture? Well, many Bible teachers believe that it goes back much further than Paul, in fact, into the Old Testament. This is fascinating stuff.
And today, we're going to look at this video, okay, from megaurch pastor Josh Howard on his podcast for Lakeoint Church. And he has on Bible teacher John Bevere. Now, I don't know a ton about John Bevere. I do know he's quite popular in his circles, but I haven't really watched a ton of his teachings. So, I'm This is not a full endorsement of him. But when it comes to end times teaching, man, this guy is right on. And this So, he's going to break down, okay, not only the first mention of the resurrection of the saints, but he's also going to break down the pre-tribulation rapture view to Pastor Josh. And what makes this so interesting is that if you've watched any of my videos in the past, I've done a couple on Pastor Josh. And as far as I can tell, he is not sold on a specific esque esqueological view. Meaning, he he doesn't really have a solid view on the end times, or at least that's what he's saying. And as far as I can tell, I don't think he fully prescribes to the pre-tribute. So, when you're watching John Bevere here break down the preerttribute, keep that in mind. Keep that in mind that you've got someone here. this may be the first time they're hearing this view in such a compelling way. So, let's take a look at the video and and I'll make a few comments throughout and we'll talk about it on the back end. Okay?
But to me, the scripture shows so clearly that the bride is not going through the wrath of God. >> So, pre-trib rapture, >> pre-tribulation rapture, >> I firmly believe it because there are several reasons. Number one, if you look at Isaiah, a lot of people don't realize Isaiah is the one that really had the revelation first of the resurrection of the dead. Now, this is one of our foundational doctrines. He said, "Your life-giving light is going to come upon those that are in the dust, and then we," and he uses himself in it. We are going to be raised up, right? And it says, "Come, my people, enter your chambers because the wrath of God is about to come." This is Isaiah 26, last three verses, last four verses. the wrath of God is going to come and hide in your chambers. And then he talks about how they're going to be raised from the graves.

And all of a sudden, I thought, Lord, why can't I shake this verse? Enter your chambers before the wrath comes. And your lifegiving light's going to come on the dead, and they're going and the dead are going to rise, and they're going to enter their chambers before the wrath. And I'm like, why can't I shake this? Then all of a sudden, I realized Paul comes along and says, I'm going to reveal a mystery to you. What's a mystery? A mystery is something that was hidden. That's right. >> Right. There's about 12 or 13 of them in the New Testament that Paul reveals. It was hidden to the ancient prophets. They saw it diligently, but they couldn't get it. And Jesus said, "You're not going to get it until the Holy Spirit comes." What's the mystery? We're not all going to die. >> Oh, okay. Behold, the dead in Christ are going to be rise. >> Then we who are alive are going to be caught up together with them. >> Thessalonians. >> Yeah. Now, now, now all of a sudden, I went, "Oh my gosh, I see it."
So, what he's getting at is that Paul is saying that the resurrection that we who are alive remain are going to be caught up to be with the Lord in the clouds and will be with him forever. And he's equating that to the resurrection in Isaiah, the same resurrection because Paul says that we will be caught up together with them in the clouds. So if the resurrection in Isaiah, okay, is before the wrath, then the resurrection in Paul that Paul's speaking of is before the wrath, right? They're connected. So is the lifegiving light of God going to come on the dead believers? We're talking about Old Testament saints and New Testament saints in the graves and then they're going to have to hide for seven years at Petra in wildernesses and strongholds. No, I think about it. Dead people being raised from the dead dead. So they'd have to hide for seven years. No, he's going to raise them up before the indignation on the nations. It's right there in Isaiah. >> And they're going to go to the chambers. And the chambers have to be in heaven because these are dead people being raised. Mhm. >> But then Paul says, "We at the same moment, we who are alive will be caught up together with them >> in the air." >> All of a sudden, I go, >> "Oh my goodness."
Now, absolutely fascinating stuff. Now, when I read Isaiah 26 and he writes, "Come, my people, enter your chambers." I can't help but be drawn to John 14 where Jesus is comforting his disciples. Remember this verse or this passage where he says, "Do not let your hearts be troubled, but you believe in God, believe also in me. My father's house has many rooms, perhaps many chambers, right? If that were not so, would I have told you that I'm going there to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." This passage here, I believe, is speaking of the rapture and Allah, and I'm not alone in that. Okay? So he talks about he has many rooms and then Isaiah talks about entering your chambers for a little while until the indignation is over. Hence the seven-year tribulation that now let's I want to show you another clip. This is John Bevere breaking down the preerttrib timeline view. And remember he's tell he's sharing it to pastor Josh who I don't think is a pre-trip guy. And think about that. If you also look at here's where people really argue. They say, "Okay, you're just an escape person." Well, first of all, Jesus said, "Pray that you could be worthy to escape all these things, but let's not even go there. Let's not go there." Okay, we'll leave that off the table. >> That's good. >> Um, I just I just I just All right. >> Tribulation is the world's wrath against the believer. >> I mean, Josh, there were so many Christians killed in Nigeria in the last month. >> That's right. That's right. There's been more Christians martyed in our generation than any other time period in history. >> Yeah. Let by the way for listeners let that sink in. That is a verifiable fact. More Christian martyrs in the last century than in every previous century combined. >> Yes. All right. So tribulation is the world's wrath against us. The tribulation capital T is God's wrath against a sinful world. >> Amen. So, do we think that he's going to beat up his son's bride? >> Mhm. >> And then say, "Okay, let's have dinner together, >> you know, the wedding, the marriage, supper of the lamb." >> No. Paul writes before, okay, if the Thessalonians is the description of how we will be right, >> caught up together with the Lord to meet the Lord. >> He says, "We have been delivered from God's wrath before that." And he says, "We have been delivered from God's wrath after that." >> So, here's what I believe. I believe the rapture could happen at any time. >> Do you think there is any biblical prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled that has to be fulfilled pre-rapture in your view of uh esquetology? No. Somebody may say, well, the temple has to be built so that the antichrist can come in as No, it doesn't. Because you know what the Bible doesn't say if there's a gap between the rapture and the start of the tribulation. It doesn't say that. I don't believe personally. I believe it is the kickoff because then the you take every Christian out of the United States, out of every construct of society, you'd have no more uh >> be chaos organizations would be that no one can understand how bad things would get as fast as they would get if you unalived or disappeared the salt of the earth from the face of the earth. >> So I believe we're the restrainer. >> Yeah, people have said so real quick. I want because you know we're just going back and forth. So when you say the restrainer, he's talking about in it's second Thessalonians, right? >> The man of sin can't be revealed, the lawless one until the restrainer is removed. >> And exactly. And I've talked about this passage many times. Second Thessalonians 2, the uh where the man of lawlessness is revealed. And you know, a lot of people get confused about the day of the Lord. And they think when it says that the the man of sin will not be revealed until that day comes first, the day of the Lord. They confuse that with the rapture. And they think that the rapture won't come first until the man of sin is revealed. And that's not what it's saying. It's saying the day of the Lord will not come. And if you look before that, before it says that, it says, "Don't let anyone deceive you. for that day will not come until now many people interpret it rebellion because that's what modern translations typically get the falling away of the rebellion but there's also a translation I think there's like five of them before the KJV came out that this rebellion should actually mean the departure okay and this the reason I tend to believe that too is because if that day will not come until the departure occurs then the manifest is revealed well if you go further down in the passage It says, "For the secret power of the lawlessness has already worked, but the one who holds it back will continue to do so until he's taken out of the way, until he leaves, until the departure." And now you're going to listen, who is this? Who is this restrainer that's taken out of the way? I think that connects back to the departure. So that's why I think the departure must happen first. I think it's the rapture must come first, then the lawless man is revealed. But let's listen to who who the restrainer is. This is what they're going to get into. >> When it talks about the restrainer, it says he who is restraining. And I'm assuming you're interp because usually what people do is they'll go, man, that's the work of the Holy Spirit is the he the work of the Holy Spirit through the people of the church, right? Yeah. >> Yeah. That's what you're do. So, and that honestly that's one thing that makes a lot of sense to me. It's like, hey, dude, you remove the church. >> You know that that Greek word means he or it or an entity. >> Oh, interesting. Okay, that's interesting. Go ahead. >> Okay. Well, that's what I'm just pointing out that that makes sense. Like I don't think anyone anywhere understands the level of evil that is being restrained by the presence of Christians on the face of the earth. No one fully grasps that. You remove that and it is we think it's bad now. And I'm not talking about the US. I mean, there's a lot of division going on. There's a lot of corruption and evil going on. But when he talks about we're living in a time when there's more martyrs in all of history combined, we're not even close to what it's going to be like. People do not understand when they say we're living in the tribulation now. Like no, there will be no debate on whether or not you're living in the tribulation. Let me just tell you, okay, it is going to be unlivable. I I think it just reveals a lack of understanding of the true nature of the seven-year tribulation. when people think we're living in it. Let's continue. Is >> a damn breaking like unlike anything you have ever imagined. Correct. Okay. So, you keep going. That's why I just want to hear in your view. And by the way, nobody's going to beat you up on live free. I'll we'll delete you and and remove you from the comments. But, uh, >> let him say it. I don't care. >> Who's he speaking to there, right? Is he speaking to people that believe in a pre-tribute? No. No. Trust me, I get comments nonstop from people who call me a false teacher, who call me a a liar, who say I'm deceiving the church, who's saying that it's that preerttrib people are going to are going to go to hell, all this stuff. That's who he's talking to right there. Okay? It's a one-way street as far as in in my opinion, it's a one-way street when it comes to the vitriol that people spew on end times because I have never really witnessed and maybe it's I'm biased, but I have not witnessed pre-trip people attacking other views and calling them telling them they're going to hell because they don't believe in it. So, if I'm wrong, correct me in the comments. >> I care. So, but so here's your get real quick. You're walking through real quick. You don't think there's quick view of your timeline of events from now to the end. You don't think no prophecy has to be fulfilled. There's nothing standing between now and a rapture in your mind and then and then what you keep taking it from there. >> Well, that's what causes me to live the way I live. >> Eagerly awaiting >> eagerly awaiting because let's say it is a mid trip. >> Daniel tells us exactly how many days before he comes back if it's a mid-trip. So, he wouldn't come as a thief in the night. Mhm. >> It's 1,275 days and then he he he says 1325 days or 35 days. He gives the two things that will happen. If it's if it's at the end, we know exactly when it's going to be. >> Mhm. >> So, it's not it's not a catching away. And the ancient Jewish wedding, the groom once they got betrothed, which is like being married but you're not living together, he would go away and prepare a room off his father's house and come back on an unannounced day and grab her in the middle of the night, not in the middle of the night, early in the evening or at in the middle of the night when his father said, "Go get her." Because he didn't even know, the groom didn't even know until the father said, "I approve. Go get her." And so you have so much wedding talk that the disciples understood that we don't understand because we have engagement. Engagement you can just break it. A betroal you got to get a divorce you know. >> So your timeline of events just if you concisely bullet them. How's how's it go? >> It goes catching away the church. The lawless one's revealed. The lawless one confirms a treaty with many. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Look at the board of peace. Right now you have 35 nations. Okay. He's going to confirm a covenant. He's not going to establish a covenant. He's going to confirm. Go look at Daniel 9. It's pretty interesting. >> So, it was already kind of put in place. He's going to confirm it. Going to probably encourage them to build their temple. >> And in the middle of that, three and a half years into it, he's going to come and he's going to cause the sacrifices to stop and he's going to set up a a sacrilegious object. And at that point, that is when Jesus said, "Hey, if you're in Judea, flee to the mountains because the greatest persecution of Christians, actually, Zechariah tells us that twothirds of the Jews will be killed by him and one-third will go through the fire." That next three and a half years is the most horrific time period of human history. That is when he is going to be persecuting the church and that is when the great wrath of God is being poured out upon the earth. And then you have the nations that are rallying together, coming against Jerusalem. Jesus will come back with 10 thousands of his saints and with one stroke of a breath of his mouth, smite everybody of those nations. The birds of the air are going to have a feast. A feast because the the blood is going to be up to a horse's right knee. >> The enemies. >> And then Jesus is going to come back and he's going to set up the earth the way it was originally intended to be run. You will then have people in natural bodies and you have people in glorified bodies. Just as Jesus interacted with the disciples by eating fish with them, but suddenly appearing >> and he was in his glorified body. They were in a natural body, >> right? You're going to have that during the millennium. Those are the people that can have babies. They're going to repopulate. God says that when the tribulation is over, people are going to be so mortal flesh will be so rare. It'll be as rare as fine gold.

Whether or not we agree on all of this is now is the time to get right with the Lord, right? To stay in the word and to examine our hearts. Examine your hearts, your motives. Find out, am I truly am I truly a follower of Jesus? Because if because if you're not, you need to know, right? You need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your heart to you. Wouldn't you want to know? And so, I think now is the time. Ask Jesus to reveal your heart to you. Even if you're confident, right? Even if you're confident, Lord, we remember we have to work out our salvation through fear and trembling, right? Take it seriously, my friends. We are living in the end times, the last days.
