Why people order two burgers at McDonald’s! Rory Sutherland explains.

I recently asked Coke, "What are the relative sales of fizzy drinks from Coke freestyle machines?" Cuz I wanted to know what people drank when they weren't being observed. Cuz there's a big difference between asking for a Coke and asking for a Dr. Pepper, right?

Fantastic finding, by the way, since McDonald's installed those screens which let you order. The number of people, particularly bloggers with a meal, has gone up astronomically. No one's prepared to do that at a counter cuz they're frightened. The guy will go, "What? What you mean? Two burgers just for you." Second you put them behind a screen, they go fill your boots.
