In the 70s, the CIA spent 20 years and millions of dollars studying something they called the gateway process. Declassified documents show they were trying to understand how human consciousness interacts with the fabric of reality itself. They found something, something specific enough that they wrote a 29-page analysis breaking down exactly how it works. Frequencies, brain states, the specific mechanism by which your mind affects physical matter. Then they classified it.
The document was eventually released in 2003, buried in a mountain of declassified files nobody was reading. And what it describes isn't mysticism. [music] It's physics. A step-by-step explanation of how consciousness interfaces with what they called the universal hologram. I've read that document probably 50 times, cross-referenced it with neuroscience papers, quantum mechanics, and years of testing protocols on myself. And today I'm going to translate it into something you can actually use. This is the algorithm of the universe, the actual operating system that determines what becomes real in your life.
The gateway process was developed at the Monroe Institute in Virginia. Robert Monroe was an audio engineer who accidentally discovered that certain sound frequencies could induce altered states [music] of consciousness. The CIA got interested because they wanted to know if these states could be used for intelligence gathering, remote viewing specifically. Could a trained operative perceive events happening thousands of miles away? Turns out they could consistently enough that the program ran for over two decades. [music]
But the part that never makes it into the headlines is that in the process of studying remote viewing, they stumbled onto something much bigger. [music] A mechanism, a literal explanation for how consciousness and physical reality interact. [music]
The document is called "Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process" written by Lieutenant Colonel Wayne M. Macdonald in 1983. And [music] the first thing he does is establish that this isn't speculation. He spends the first several pages grounding everything in accepted physics. He starts with energy. Everything in the universe at its most fundamental level is energy vibrating at different frequencies. Your body, this screen, the chair you're sitting in, all of it is energy patterns holding a specific form. Einstein's equation, energy and matter are interchangeable. What we perceive as solid matter is actually energy vibrating slow enough that it appears stable to our senses.
Macdonald describes the universe as a hologram, a holographic system where [music] every part contains information about the whole and where the projection we experience as reality is generated by interference patterns [music] between energy waves. Here's why that matters. In a hologram, you don't change the image by manipulating the projection. You change it by changing the interference pattern that [music] creates the projection. You change the source signal. And according to this document, [music] consciousness is the source signal. Your brain doesn't just passively receive reality. It actively participates in generating it. [music]
The frequency at which your consciousness vibrates determines which version of the hologram you perceive and [music] interact with. Sit with that for a second. Reality isn't happening to you. Reality is being rendered by you. Your consciousness is the projector. The frequency of your signal determines what gets projected. The CIA wasn't studying manifestation. They were studying physics. And they accidentally documented the exact mechanism that explains why your internal state keeps showing up as your external circumstances.
Okay, so if consciousness generates reality through frequency, how does that actually work? What's the sequence? I had to go beyond the gateway document for this part. Macdonald gives you the physics but not the practical application. So, I started digging into neuroscience, testing things on myself, watching patterns in other people, and I landed on something that I think captures the actual sequence of operations.
Step one, your brain has a filtering system called the reticular activating system, the RA. Its job is to sort through the millions of bits of information hitting your senses every second and decide what gets through to your conscious awareness. You know how when you buy a car, suddenly you see that car everywhere? They were always there. Your RA just started flagging them as relevant. That's the first layer of the algorithm. Your RA filters reality based on what you've programmed it to look for. [music] And you program it through repetition, emotion, and identity. I'll come back to each of those.
Step two, whatever gets through your RA filter becomes your perception. >> [music] >> And your perception generates an emotional response. This is automatic. You don't choose it. You see something, your nervous system responds with a feeling. That emotional response has a frequency and is measurable. HeartMath Institute has been documenting this for decades. Different emotional states produce different electromagnetic signatures that extend several feet outside your body. So now you have a broadcast signal. [music] Your emotional state is literally transmitting a frequency into the field around you.
Step three, quantum mechanics. At the subatomic level, particles exist in a state of probability until they're observed. The famous double-slit experiment. [music] Electrons behave like waves of possibility until a measurement is taken, at which point they collapse into a specific position. What determines where they collapse? The nature of the observation. Your consciousness broadcasting its emotional frequency is constantly collapsing probability waves into specific outcomes. You're not observing a fixed reality. You're participating in generating it moment by moment.
Step four, the outcomes that collapse tend to match the frequency of the observer. Resonance. Two tuning forks at the same frequency will vibrate together even without physical contact. Your broadcast signal attracts and collapses possibilities that resonate with its frequency. That's the algorithm. Input your state. Your RA filters accordingly. Your emotional frequency broadcasts. Reality collapses to match. Output your experience. It runs constantly. [music] It runs whether you're aware of it or not. You don't have to activate it. You have to stop interfering with it.
And this is where I watch people mess themselves up over and over. They try to manipulate the output while running the same input. They try to change what shows up while broadcasting the same signal. [music] They try to see new things while keeping their RA locked on the same old patterns. I want to get specific here because understanding the algorithm intellectually is [music] useless if you don't see how it's running in your actual life right now.
Take money. If you grew up in a household where money was tight or where money meant stress or where wealthy people were talked about like they were probably criminals or just got lucky, you have a specific emotional frequency around wealth. You might not feel it anymore because it's been there so long it just [music] feels like you. You might consciously want more money. You might work your ass off for it. Set goals, make vision boards, say affirmations every morning while looking in the mirror feeling kind of stupid. But your RA is still running childhood programming, still filtering for evidence that money is hard to get, that rich people are suspicious, that financial success requires suffering. Your nervous system still tenses up around money conversations. Maybe [music] subtle. Maybe you've been clenching that same muscle for 20 years and you don't even notice it anymore, but it's there. And that tension has a frequency. So you broadcast lack and reality running the algorithm collapses possibilities that match lack. The opportunity goes to someone else. The investment doesn't pan out. The raise doesn't come through. Then you look at those results and feel frustrated. Maybe resentful, which broadcasts more lack, which collapses more matching possibilities. The loop feeds itself. This isn't the universe punishing you. [music] It's not karma. It's an algorithm running the inputs you're giving it.
Relationships work the same way. If you've been hurt before, your nervous system learned to associate intimacy with danger. That learning lives in your body, [music] not just your mind. It shows up as tension, guardedness, walls that go up automatically when someone gets too close. You might consciously want connection. You might go on dates, say the right things, try to be open, but your frequency is broadcasting protection. [music] People feel that they can't explain it, but they sense the wall. They match your distance with their own distance, or they push past it in ways that aren't healthy because only someone with their own boundary issues would ignore a signal that [music] clear. Either way, the algorithm delivers what matches the broadcast. And then you look at those results. More evidence that people can't be [music] trusted. More data for your RA. More reinforcement of the frequency. The algorithm is neutral. It doesn't care what you want. It doesn't care what you think you deserve. It [music] responds to signal. And if you're being honest, you're probably signaling from programs you didn't choose. Programs installed before you were old enough to question anything, [music] before you had words for what was happening.
That's why two people can take the exact same action and get completely different results. Two people can go to the same job interview, say almost the same words, but there is a different frequency underneath. So, one of them gets the job, the other gets [music] rejected.
And now, the obvious question: How do you actually change your frequency? I watch people spin on this for years. I was stuck here, too. Thinking your way into a new state doesn't [music] work. Affirmations don't work. Forcing positive emotions doesn't work. I tried all of it for longer than I want to admit. The problem is simple. [music] Your conscious mind is not in charge of your frequency. Your nervous system is. You cannot think yourself into safety when your body believes you're in danger. [music] You cannot affirm abundance when your gut clenches every time you check your bank account. The body wins. Every single time, the body wins. Your nervous system processes information faster than your conscious mind can think. It responds in milliseconds, well before your thinking brain gets a vote. So trying to change your frequency through thought alone is like trying to steer a car by talking to it. Wrong system.
The actual way to change frequency is working with the nervous system directly. Regulating your state at the body level. Getting your physiology to feel safe before trying to install new beliefs. This is why meditation works for some people. Sitting still and breathing slow sends a safety signal to the nervous system and downregulates the stress response. And in that regulated state, frequency shifts naturally. But meditation doesn't work for everyone. For people with busy analytical minds, sitting still often just creates more mental noise. You're not meditating. You're thinking with your eyes closed and getting frustrated about it.
What actually works is understanding that your nervous system is constantly scanning for evidence: safe or not safe, [music] threat or no threat, and you can provide that evidence on purpose. When you complete a stress cycle, your nervous system registers [music] safety. Completion means your body got to discharge the activation it was holding. Physical movement, shaking, even crying or laughing. Any [music] discharge that lets the energy move through instead of staying stuck. When you experience genuine connection, your nervous system registers safety. Eye contact with someone who actually sees [music] you. Physical touch that feels good. Being witnessed without judgment. When you accomplish something you said you would do, your nervous system registers competence. Competence signals safety. These aren't mindset tricks. They're inputs to a biological system. Stack enough of them consistently and your baseline frequency starts to shift. Not because you decided it should, but because your body actually feels different.
Once your nervous system is regulated, you can work with your RA. This is where it gets practical. Your reticular activating system [music] takes instructions. It's programmable. The question is, what instructions [music] have you been feeding it, and what do you want to feed it instead? Remember, the RA gets programmed through repetition, [music] emotion, and identity.
Repetition is straightforward. Whatever you expose yourself to over and over gets flagged as important. [music] If you spend all day consuming content about how the economy is collapsing, how hard it is to get ahead, how the system is rigged against you, your RA will find evidence of those things everywhere. You'll see them because you trained yourself to see them. Works the same in reverse. Flood your inputs with evidence of what's possible. Not motivational content, not affirmations, evidence. Case studies of people who did what you want to do. Detailed breakdowns of how it actually worked. Real examples with real numbers. Your RA doesn't need inspiration. It needs data. Feed it enough data points that match your desired reality and it starts flagging opportunities that align, not magic. Just a filter doing what filters do.
Emotion amplifies programming. Whatever you experience with strong feeling gets priority [music] flagged. This is why trauma sticks so hard. The intensity of the emotion locks it in. You can use this intentionally. When you see evidence that supports your new reality, don't just note it intellectually. Feel it. Celebrate it. Let your body respond to the win, even if it's someone else's win. For now, the emotional charge is what makes programming [music] stick.
Identity is the deepest level. Your RA's filters to keep you consistent with who you believe you are. If you believe you're someone who struggles with money, you will look directly at opportunities that conflict with that identity and not see them. They'll be right there. You'll miss them completely. Identity shifts through evidence, not affirmation. You need proof that you're becoming who you want to be. Small wins documented, reviewed, felt in your body. Your nervous system doesn't believe words. It believes experience. So manufacture experiences that prove your new identity is real.
All right. Nervous system regulated, RA getting reprogrammed. Now, let's talk about what you're actually broadcasting. Your emotional state has a measurable frequency. HeartMath has documented this for decades. The heart generates the strongest electromagnetic field in the body, about a hundred times stronger than the brain. And the coherence of your heart rhythm directly affects that field. When you're stressed, frustrated, anxious, your heart rhythm goes erratic, incoherent. The signal is noisy and scattered. When you're in appreciation, genuine interest, positive anticipation, your heart rhythm becomes coherent. The signal is clean and organized. You can see this on an EKG. The waveforms look completely different. So broadcast frequency is [music] physical. The coherence of your heart signal affects the field you generate. That field interacts with fields around you. And [music] the heart doesn't just broadcast, it receives. This has been measured in studies where subjects were shown random images, some neutral and some emotionally intense. The heart responded [music] to the intense images before they appeared on screen, before the computer had selected which image to show. The heart interfaces with information [music] outside normal time constraints. It reads the field. It contributes to the field. This is the mechanism behind intuition, behind [music] synchronicity, behind knowing things before you should be able to know them. Not mystical, just a sense we don't learn about in school. The algorithm runs on this level. Heart coherence determines the clarity of what you send and [music] what you receive. Incoherent state, noisy signal, scrambled reception. Coherent state, clean signal, clear reception. So the broadcast protocol is generating coherent emotional states as your default, not as occasional peak experiences you touch and then lose [music] as your baseline. That takes practice. You train your nervous system to return to coherence quickly when it gets disrupted because it will get disrupted. Life happens. The goal isn't to never lose coherence. It's [music] to recover fast.
Okay. So, we talked about the input, but what about the output? How does a frequency actually become a physical result? For that, we have to go back to quantum mechanics. At the subatomic level, everything exists as probability until observed. The wave function holds all possible states at [music] once. Observation collapses it into one specific state. There's debate in physics about what counts as an observer, whether consciousness is required or whether any measurement device works. That debate isn't settled, [music] and I'm not going to pretend I've solved it. But here's what I find interesting. The outcomes that show up in your life aren't random. They cluster. They [music] pattern. They correlate with something. And the best model I've found for that correlation is frequency matching. [music]
When you broadcast a coherent signal, you bias the collapse toward outcomes that resonate with that signal. [music] You don't guarantee specific results. You weight probability in your favor. [music] Think about radio. Infinite stations broadcasting at once. Your receiver picks up the one it's tuned to. You don't go find the station. You match the frequency. The [music] signal appears. The universe broadcasts infinite possibilities. Your frequency determines which ones you receive. Receiving in this context [music] means collapsing into actual experience. This is why forcing outcomes [music] backfires. When you're forcing, your broadcasting effort, struggle, need, that frequency picks up matching signals. More effort required, more struggle, more need. When you broadcast from the frequency of already having, of it being handled, you pick up signals that match that state. Opportunities appear more easily. Paths open that you didn't know existed. I know how that sounds. Just feel like you have it and it appears. Sounds like delusion, but I'm talking about signal matching. An algorithm doing what algorithms do. The mechanism is neutral. It doesn't care about your feelings about the mechanism.
There's a delay, and this is where people quit. You change your frequency today. You don't see results tomorrow. The algorithm takes time to process. Someone does the work for two weeks, three weeks, [music] a month, broadcasting cleaner signals, regulating nervous system, feeding RA new data, and nothing external changes. So they decide it doesn't work. Go back to old patterns. And the moment they stop, they reset the algorithm to previous inputs.
Here's what's happening during that delay. When you change frequency, you start biasing probability toward new outcomes. But those outcomes have to move through existing structures, logistics, other people's decisions, physical constraints. The opportunity you're tuning into might require someone else to make a [music] choice first, or a sequence of events to unfold, or something in your current life to clear out and make room. The algorithm is rearranging variables. Rearrangement takes time in physical reality. The bigger the gap between old frequency and new frequency, the more variables have to move, the longer it takes. Your job during the lag is maintaining signal. Keep broadcasting. [music] Keep nervous system regulated. Keep feeding RA evidence. Trust the processing is happening even though you can't see it. This is genuinely hard. No external validation. Operating on mechanism alone. You have to understand the system well [music] enough to trust it before you have proof. And the trust matters. Doubt broadcasts a frequency, too. If you're sending new signal but constantly checking whether it's working, wondering if you're wasting time, [music] you create interference. Signal gets noisy. Collapse gets scrambled. Clean signal means consistent signal. Broadcasting like it's already handled. Not because positive thinking is magic, because that's the frequency that matches the outcome you want.
Sometimes you do everything right. Nervous system regulated, RA reprogramming, clean broadcast, maintained through the lag, and certain things still won't move. When that happens, there's usually an identity lock somewhere. An identity lock is a belief about who you are that makes your desired outcome impossible, not difficult, impossible, because it would require you to become someone you believe you fundamentally cannot be. These are hard to spot. They don't feel like beliefs. They feel like observations about reality. They're so baked into how you see yourself that questioning them feels insane. Stuff like, "I'm [music] not someone who catches breaks. I have to work twice as hard as everyone else. I don't have the personality that attracts the kind of partner I want. My background makes that level of success unrealistic for me." Those don't register as beliefs you could change. [music] They register as facts you've correctly identified about yourself and the world, but they're identity statements. And while they're locked in, your RA filters to confirm them, and your broadcast carries their frequency, no matter what else you do.
Breaking an identity lock takes more than affirmation. It takes genuine reorganization of how you see yourself. You need evidence that contradicts [music] the belief at a level your nervous system accepts. Usually, that means finding people who started where you started, with your limitations, your background, your disadvantages, and got where you want to go anyway. Study how they actually [music] did it, not the highlight reel, the real path. Let your brain map genuine possibility. It also means catching yourself when you reinforce the old identity. Every time you say or think something that confirms the old self-concept, you strengthen the lock. You have to interrupt that pattern in real time, over and over. And often it means getting outside perspective. Identity locks are blind spots. You can't see what you can't see. Sometimes you need someone else to point at the thing that's obvious to everyone except you.
The algorithm runs whether you participate consciously or not. You're already manifesting. Everything in your current reality is an output of past inputs. Running on default means childhood programming still sets the inputs. Unprocessed stress still drives nervous system state. Unexamined beliefs still filter perception. Unconscious emotional patterns still determine broadcast frequency.
Running on purpose means you take ownership of each piece. Work with your nervous system. Learn what regulation feels like in your body. Build practices that bring you back to baseline. Stop expecting thoughts to override biology. Reprogram your RA deliberately. Control information inputs. Flood your system with evidence of what's possible. Document wins. Feel them. Stop feeding old programming new data. Manage your broadcast. Build the ability to generate coherent states on demand. Not fake positivity, real coherence, appreciation for what's already here, anticipation for what's coming. Make that your default, not your peak. Respect the lag. Trust the mechanism when you can't see proof. Maintain signal through the delay. Stop checking. Broadcast like it's handled. Surface identity locks. Get honest about where you're blocking yourself at the deepest level. Find contradicting evidence. Interrupt reinforcement. Let yourself become someone new.
This isn't a one-time thing. Ongoing calibration. You'll hit new edges as you expand. Deeper locks surface as you clear surface ones. [music] Bigger challenges require more regulation as you take on bigger goals, but the algorithm stays [music] the same. Input state, filter through RA, broadcast frequency, collapse matching probability, output experience. Get the inputs right. Outputs handle themselves.
The CIA didn't release that gateway document to help anyone. They released it because enough years [music] passed that they were legally required to declassify. But the mechanism they documented is real. It lines up with what physicists measure, what neuroscientists map, [music] and what every serious contemplative tradition has pointed at for thousands of years using different words. You're not watching a fixed reality. You're participating in generating a fluid one. The algorithm runs through you constantly. Now you know how it works. What you do with that is your call. Keep running default programming or take responsibility for inputs and start designing outputs. I know what I chose when I started understanding this. My life looks nothing like it did when I was letting the algorithm run without me.
Now, if you want to go deeper, I put out a video called "Echo Theory" that covers another piece of this, specifically why reality operates on a delay and how your last dominant thought becomes the blueprint for what manifests next. It connects to everything we talked about today. The algorithm explains the mechanism, Echo Theory explains the timing, why lags exist, and what determines speed. That video is on screen now.
