We have Jacobe Meyers requesting a trade. We actually have some injury news. So, let's dive into it.
Tier one, nothing changes. We've been here all year. You have Jamar Chase, CD Lamb, Justin Jefferson. You've already heard me say that you actually have CD Lamb outscoring Jamar Chase over the past two seasons in games in which Dak Prescott's played. Over the past two years, in games that Dak Prescott's played, CD Lamb's averaged 22.1 points per game. Jamar Chase has been at 22.0 zero in games where Joe Burrow's played. So, I do think that they're in the same tier. Of course, I'm going to go with Chase. Ride the hot hands. And at the same time, you have George Piggins added into the Dallas offense. And then with Justin Jefferson, honestly, if I was rating these guys from talent, I would have Jefferson as the most talented wide receiver in the league. The issue with putting him ahead of either guy would be we just have a massive question mark at quarterback where we know Dak Prescott's a great quarterback to support passing volume and we know that Joe Burrow is the literal best at it.
Now going over to tier two. This is where things maybe start to get a little bit tough. Honestly, you can rank these guys in whatever order you want. I'm going to have Amanra St. Brown, Nico Collins, Puka Nua, Malik Neighbors, and Brian Thomas. But if you wanted to go through and put Brian Thomas at the top, you do you. If you wanted to put Nico Collins at the top, you do you. If you wanted to put Malik Neighbors, they're all extremely exciting. They're very strong targets. If you're at the back half of round one, if any of them slide you in round two, they are phenomenal picks.
If we go ahead and look at what Amra St. Brown's done over the past three years, he's been a top 10 wide receiver every season and over the past two years, he's been a top five name. Now, you do have some question marks surrounding the change with the offensive coordinator, maybe the offense being a little bit worse. So, I don't think you could put him in tier one.
Nico Collins has had back-to-back seasons being a top 10 wide receiver in fantasy. Back-to-back years with over 17 points per game. You have no Joe Mixon. You have arguably the worst running back room in the league. So, possibly you have CJ Stra just having to air the ball out a ton. But there will be concerns with the overall offense with the horrible offensive line and Strad taking the step backwards in year two.
Going over and looking at Puka Nua, while yes, if you drafted him in round one last year, there's a good shot that you lost your league. However, it was only due to the injury. What is crazy is Puka only played 62% of the snaps because he got injured. Yet, he still averaged 18.78 points per game. That is absurd. If we go through and look at the closest comparables that we have to Pukanukua at age 23 years old going back to the year 2008 you have CD Lamb Odell Beckham Jr. Alshon Jeffrey Chris Godwin DK Medaf Mike Evans DeAndre Hopkins Keenan Allen and Sydney Rice and again this is a season in which he got injured. So if we look at his best comparable rookie season it actually lines up with Jamar Chase, Jefferson, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Mike Evans, Malik Neighbors, Brian Thomas and Lad Manki. So Puganua is an alpha. He is one of the best wide receivers in the league and Matthew Stafford looks to be good to go for week one. I am not concerned about Devonte Adams turning into the wide receiver one in this offense.
Now Malik Neighbors is my wide receiver seven. And with Neighbors, I have him ranked at 12th overall for our rankings on flockfantasy.com. But again, that is going to be very dependent on if you are in a full PPR league with two flex spots versus a 10 team league where you only start two wide receivers and one flex. It should really matter who you're going to be valuing there with a running back like Ashen Genty versus Malik Neighbors will really come down to your exact league settings with how you should be constructing with a running back or a receiver. Lastly, with Malik Neighbors, I will say I'm a little bit more excited about him in this tier considering how good Jackson Dart looked in the preseason. If you think that Dart can come in and save the day here for this Giants offense.
And then going over and looking at Brian Thomas using the player comparison tool on flockfantasy.com, you can see that it's actually very funny that despite Trevor Lawrence getting injured halfway through the year and Brian Thomas having to play with arguably the worst starting quarterback in the league with M. Jones, Brian Thomas still improved in the second half of the season. Weeks one through nine, Brian Thomas was sitting at 14.4 points per game, which was good for wide receiver 21. However, if you were going to go ahead and look at what he managed to do in the second half, he jumps up to 19.3 points per game. This was with him being an incredibly young rookie as well. This was with this being a garbage offense. And now you actually get the improvement with the coaching staff, presumed improvement with the quarterback play as well. If it wasn't for Travis Hunter being added here, I think you can make an argument that Brian Thomas would be at the very top of this tier, but we'll have him at the very bottom just given the fact that you do have Hunter as target competition. Looking at the best comparable names as rookies, you have Jamar Chase, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Chris Lave, Mike Evans, Keenan Allen, Lad Mcconi, and Malik Neighbors.
Now, going down to our next tier, we're going to be led off with Drake London. Now, I drafted Drake London in the Flock League. Wanted to root on him all year, but sadly we had to trade him away because I needed a running back. Now, with London, I still love the dude. There's a reason I drafted him there in the second round. You go ahead and you look at London. He is still incredibly young, actually younger than RJ Harvey at this point. And if you go through and look at his best comparable at age 23, you have Jamar Chase the following year blowing up and winning the triple crown. Julio Jones in 2012, the following year, 22 points per game. Amra Brown the following year, 21 points per game. and you have Darnell Mooney injured and possibly a quarterback upgrade with Michael Penn. So, London is an extremely young stud wide receiver that last year already proved that he's a top level talent finishing as wide receiver 14.
Now, AJ Brown last year finished as wide receiver 13. And I'm going to give the slight discount on A.J. Brown in comparison to London because of course you have one wide receiver ascending going into his age 24 year. Whereas if we're looking at AJ Brown just a little bit older. Like I'm not panicking whatsoever. And you have the possibility that the Philadelphia Eagles end up having to throw the ball just a little bit more this season. Whether it's because of Saquon Barkley injury, which for the love of God, please, please, please, please do not let that happen. I have Barkley in the flock league and my year would be devastated if that does occur. but it would really help AJ Brown or if the Philadelphia Eagles offense just has to throw the ball a bit more if the defense regresses, AJ Brown could benefit there as well.
Now, going over to our next tier, I'm going to be moving Lad Mankey down from the Drake London and AJ Brown tier given the Keenan Allen signing. Plus, I would expect that the offensive line actually may end up being a little bit worse given the Slater injury. But Lad Mananki obviously improved as the year went on. Like if we go ahead and pull up him in the player comparison tool and look at the first half the season versus the second half of the year, you will just see that yes, he jumps from averaging about 12.9 fantasy points per game up to 17.2. That's exactly what you're wanting to see from rookie wide receivers improve as the year goes on, just like Brian Thomas. Um, again, I'm a little bit worried about offensive regression just given the injury to the offensive line already. And combine this with the fact that you do have Keenan Allen added into this offense with Trey Harris as well.
Now, Teiggins will be our next receiver. Tiggins is actually my wide receiver, one in the flock league at this point. We went very heavy with the running backs this year. But Higgins is coming off a season where he was the wide receiver six in points per game. And again, you may go back to 2023. You may go back to 2022 and say, "Okay, well, he wasn't a top 24 wide receiver either year in points per game." And the real issue that you've had with Tigens is his stats get thrown off because he goes out there when he's injured and only plays 20% of the snaps in some of these games. So the hope and the prayer is that doesn't happen this year. He manages to stay healthy. He's only had one season ever where he played 17 weeks though. And in that year again, um I mean he even had these games where he didn't actually play. He just logged a snap.
Mike Evans has been a big- time riser in our rankings. If you go and look at Tampa, you have all the wide receivers getting injured with McMillan. Godwin needed a second surgery. So, it's really just a bua and Evans for Baker Mayfield who had 41 passing touchdowns last season. And Mike Evans has been a top 12 option every year of his NFL career going back to 2020. We go ahead and look at his yards per route run. It has improved every season for four years straight. So, Mike Evans has showed no signs whatsoever of slowing down. He has only gotten better and the situation looks good. Now, with that being said, if we look at age 31 seasons going over to age 32, the closest comparables that we've had to Mike Evans were Reggie Wayne. Reggie Wayne was able to still average 17 points per game. That was phenomenal. Devonte Adams. Devonte Adams actually got a little bit better from 15 and a half to 17. But then Rody White fell off a cliff. Emanuel Sanders fell off a cliff. Santana Moss fell off a cliff. Cole Beasley much worse. Jordy Nelson fell off a cliff. Golden Tate fell off a cliff. So, most wide receivers at 32 are going to be slightly worse than they were at 31. But again, Evans, great situation and has shown no signs of slowing down.
JSN actually is the young ascending wide receiver. Like if you just look at the range of outcomes tool on the site, Jackson Smith and Jigba has much better comps at this point. Like Kenny Brit, CD Lamb, Randle Cobb, Percy Arvin, Brandon Cooks all average at least 15 points per game the following year. The issue is I think that you possibly have a slight quarterback downgrade for JSN where Evans doesn't have the QB downgrade. But JSN incredibly young receiver. Most of these guys are getting better from 22 22 23 and last year already finishes the wide receiver 20.
Um Tyreek Hill I am concerned with the speedster that's had a massive falloff. He falls from 23 and a half points per game down to 12.8. Now it's not a guarantee that these wide receivers get worse from 30 to 31. you actually did have like Brandon Marshall with the similar age 30 season jumping up to 21 points per game the next year and possibly Tyreek Hill sees that bounce back as well just given the fact that Tua was injured last season and if Tua manages to stay fully healthy um and you have no Johnny Smith here it's going to be a super concentrated target share really only between Tyreek Wadd and then Aan Marvin Harrison Jr. will be our next receiver.
With Harrison, the situation has not changed at all. It's the same quarterback. It's the same cast of guys around him. Um, and he was the wide receiver 42 last year. You look at Harrison weekly. Um, wide receiver 103, then wide receiver 1, wide receiver 20, wide receiver 26, then he is the wide receiver 61, the wide receiver 147, then wide receiver 55, then he's the wide receiver four. Like, how the hell would you ever know when to start this dude? But he was only 22 years old. He was a rookie. We go back and look at the closest comparable age 22 seasons. You had like Godwin, Justin Blackman, DK Mechaf, Aman Ross St. Brown, Stefon Diggs. All those guys got significantly better from 22 to 23 years old. And Marvin Harrison Jr. obviously was an elite level prospect, a much better prospect than a lot of those players.
Um Garrett Wilson will be our next receiver. Garrett Wilson last year as the best year of his NFL career, jumping up from the wide receiver 30 to the wide receiver 21. And I know a lot of people are going to say, "Oh, cool. Now we get a quarterback upgrade with Justin Fields. Oh, cool. Um, Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson played quarterback together in college. And do you all remember what Justin Fields did with DJ Moore back in the day? Blah, blah, blah. I know people are really excited about that. Now, here's what I got to tell you. If you go ahead and you look at what we have with Aaron Rogers last season, Aaron Rogers was not a good NFL quarterback, but Aaron Rodgers had about 3,900 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns. If you look at the current underdog projected pickups for Justin Fields, they have Justin Fields higher lower like 14 and a half passing touchdowns. Fields could be a better realife quarterback for the Jets. That is a definite possibility, but for him to provide the Jets with more passing volume, that would be a massive surprise. And what do you want if you were a wide receiver in fantasy? You want passing volume in your offense. You don't want the quarterback going out there and having a bunch of rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. So, I don't think the situation for Garrett Wilson is nearly as good as what a lot of people have been saying. So, I haven't been drafting a lot of them. He did fall to round four of the Flock League though where Nathan got him there and I thought that was a great price tag.
Now going over to tier five, we are going to have Devonte Adams. I know that everybody was drafting Devonte Adams in the third round all offseason on Underdog. I know a lot of people love Devonte Adams there. Um and we've had to fight some people about this because while I agree Devonte Adams has looked very good, very similar to Mike Evans. like hell. It's hard to say an age is concerned when he jumped from 15 and a half points per game two years ago to 17 12 points per game this year and he just got a quarterback upgrade. But if I am looking at Devonte Adams, to be fair, the yards per route run have fallen off a cliff in comparison to what they historically were. And on top of that with Devonte Adams, this is a wide receiver that is now on his third NFL team and going into his age 33 season. Now, of course, a lot of these age 33y old wide receivers still put up good years. Antonio Brown averaged 17 points per game. Julian Edelman was at 16. Anquin Balden was at 15. Larry Fitz was at 15. Rody White was at 15. So, it's not a guarantee you get a massive fall off, but I do think that Pukanua is um probably tougher competition than Garrett Wilson was. And at the same time, Stafford's banged up, Nvante Adams is older.
Now, our next wide receiver is going to be Xavier Worthy. I know a lot of people are going to be surprised to see this. We haven't had Terry McLaren on here yet. Terry McLuren will be the next guy. I know Terry just signed his extension. I love Worthy. Okay, I'm sorry, but we go through and we look at what Worthy did to end the year. Worthy the final three weeks of the regular season where the actually matter for the Chiefs. Obviously, they benched Worthy in week 18. They're resting for the playoffs. Worthy had 19.6 fantasy points, 20.5 fantasy points, and then 23 fantasy points. Then we carry that over and look at what Xavier Worthy did in the playoffs for the Kansas City Chiefs. I understand, yes, it was in garbage time if we're going to be looking at the one specific game with the Eagles where I will mention he went 150 receiving yards, multiple receiving touchdowns, but even against the Texans, he had a decent little performance. Against the Bills, he had 85 receiving yards and the receiving touchdown to go alongside it. So Worthy was a round one NFL draft pick. He was a 21-year-old wide receiver that got better as his rookie season went on. I realistically don't know what more you could ask for. I would expect that the Kansas City Chiefs don't have less passing volume this year than they did last. So I've been drafting a lot of Xavier Worthy.
Now Terry McLaren will be our next wide receiver. Um Scary Terry finally reports back at camp. Now I'm going to be a little nervous that he missed so much time. I don't know if this is the same exact situation that you had with like um Brandon Iayuk last year where obviously I ends up getting injured. He was just absolutely horrendous to start the season as well. So maybe I'm overreacting here. Maybe you should just throw Terry at the top of this tier. What I can say with confidence, do not put Terry in the tier above this. Do not be taking him ahead of Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison, Tyreek Hill. Because if you do see any touchdown regression for Terry McLaren, you could see the fantasy points bring him back down to being a low-end wide receiver, too.
Now, DK Meetaf is going to be our next wide receiver. I currently have him in the Flock League as my wide receiver, too. I'm a little bit nervous about it, but he's been a wide receiver, too, pretty much through his entire NFL career. Wide receiver 20, wide receiver 22, wide receiver 21, wide receiver 20. If you're looking at points per game numbers, and then he has a mixed in wide receiver eight season, and he has a mixed in wide receiver 33 season. So, if we are looking at Metaf, um, this situation in Pittsburgh is nice in that you're really the only target there, but at the same time, the passing volume should be pretty damn low. I think it's going to be a team that tries to run the ball.
Devont Smith is my most drafted wide receiver in underdog drafts, getting him at a wide receiver three price tag. Devont Smith, us ranking him at wide receiver 22, is well ahead of consensus, and it's well lower than where he's finished over the past three years. Over the past three seasons, he's been the wide receiver 17, wide receiver 18, and wide receiver 13. And the passing volume in this Eagles offense this past season was at the lowest mark that we have seen for any team in the NFL for a good offense in a long ass time. So, if the passing volume goes up, I think Devonte Smith has a much higher ceiling than where he's finished as of late. And he's been finishing as a mid- wide receiver, too. So, if you're taking him as a low-end wide receiver 2, high-end wide receiver three, it's a super profitable pick.
Now, going over and looking at what we have with our next option in Ted McMillan. I love McMillan from a prospect profile perspective. The market share numbers that he posted in college were insane. You'll love the size. He looks like he's set up in a really good spot as well when it comes to just his ability to dominate targets in Carolina. there's not much when it comes to the competition. Now, with that being said, I'm not fully sold on Bryce Young. I know Bryce Young was very good after the by-week last year. I know that Bryce Young looked very good in the final six weeks of the season, but the reality of the situation is he went from being the worst quarterback in the NFL by a country mile to above average. I don't know if we can say for sure that he is a good quarterback at this point.
Um, Courtland Sutton has been absolutely balling in the preseason. And if you wanted to put Courtland Sutton at the very top of this tier, I'm not going to fault you for it. If we go back over and use that player comparison tool on fogfantasy.com and look at Sutton in his first half of the year versus Sutton in his second half of the season, it was a night and day difference. Obviously, we're not looking at Sutton's season split into the first half and the second half because he's a rookie and we would naturally expect that he gets better. But no, it's because you had Bo Nicks as a rookie and we are expecting Bo Knicks to get better. So, if we're looking at Sutton weeks 1 through nine, he was the wide receiver 37. If we look at him weeks 10 through 18, he was the wide receiver 12 and he jumps from 11.2 points per game up to 17.4. So Sutton looks like he's going to crush.
DJ Moore right now is actually getting some running back usage in Chicago with all the banged up running backs in that backfield. And with DJ Moore, I would expect that this is probably the most improved offense in the NFL this year. Given the coaching staff change as well as the offensive line improvements that they made and then also natural progression from Caleb Williams going into year two.
Now Travis Hunter will be our next wide receiver. with Travis Hunter. All signs point to him playing 80 plus% of the offensive snaps. If that is the case, and he is very rarely used on the defensive side of the ball, the expectations should be that Travis Hunter absolutely smashes this year and could be like Tiggins next to Jamar Chase last season. Now, the difficulty that you're going to have when it comes to getting that Teagan's level ceiling from last year will be a lot hinges on Trevor Lawrence, and you do need Lawrence to come through in a big time way.
Now, Rasheed Rice will be the next guy. Rashi Rice obviously will be way higher than this in my week one rankings, way higher in my week two rankings, way higher in my week three rankings. The issue is rest of season you are looking at a suspension probably anywhere in the range of like four to 12 games and we just have no idea.
Um Jameson Williams will be our next guy. Jameson Williams you do have the big blow up from his second year to his third year where he was actually wide receiver 26 and averaged 14.1 points per game. And Jameson Williams is still incredibly young. We go ahead and we pull up Jameson Williams with the range of outcomes tool. his similar age 23 seasons um comped to like AJ Green, Dez Bryan, Antonio Brown, Jeremy Macklin, and then obviously some bust. It's not all just studs. You have Will Snee, DJ Char, um George Pickkins, Jerry Judy, but regardless, a lot of these guys do improve from 23 to 24 years old. I know the offensive coordinator has been raving about Jameson Williams this off seasonason. I would say that with the offensive regression that we kind of need a pencil in here. I don't know if I can be 100% in on it.
And now George Pickins will be our next name. If we are looking at George Pickkins, I understand this is the best situation that he's been plopped into pretty much at any point of his NFL career. Now with that in mind, I am ranking him higher than he's ever finished. George Pickkins over the past three years has finished as the wide receiver 45, wide receiver 35, and the wide receiver 38. So at the very best, Pickkins has given you lowend wide receiver three, high-end wide receiver four production. I'm going to rank him here as a mid to highend wide receiver three. this season because while yes, you have way more target competition with CD Lamb, the passing volume should be much improved with the Dallas Cowboys, but I don't think it should just be completely overlooked the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers were willing to just get rid of this guy for almost nothing.
Now, Jaylen Wadd will be our next receiver. Waddle was absolute garbage last year. I mean, I traded for Waddle before the season in the Flock League and it was a living hell. A lot of this was to do with the Tua injury, but at the same time, we can say, "Oh, okay. Well, when Tua got back at the end of the year, Waddle still did absolutely nothing. Um, but now you have Johnny Smith traded, the vibes with Tyreek are absolutely horrendous. So, possibly Wadd does do something for you.
Um, Ibuka will be our next receiver. With Ibuka, you have no Godwin to start the year. And at the same time, you have no McMillan. So, he should be close to an every down player. There's been no player in training camp this year at the wide receiver position that has had more positive rapports coming out of camp than Eggbuka. The coach loves him. The quarterback loves him. The other receivers on this team love him. And he looks like he's probably just going to be playing the Chris Godwin role from day one. The question is what happens when Godwin comes back.
Now Calvin Ridley will be our next receiver. Calvin Ridley obviously a much older player. um he was the wide receiver 39 last year and at the same time you're looking at him going from his age 30 season to his age 31 year. So very rarely are you going to expect that um we should see Calvin Ridley improve from 30 to 31 years old. Now, with that being said, you do have Cam Ward coming in, and with Cam Ward, we should expect overall improvement with the passing volume numbers that you have in Tennessee. So, um, the Titans still project to be a bottom five offense in total points scored according to sports books, but who knows? Because at the end of the day, like the Denver Broncos projected to be a bad offense last year and Bo Nick's surprised to the upside. So, you just have to bet on Cam Ward.
Um Zay Flowers I drafted in the Flock League and then ended up trading him. Um he was the wide receiver 35 last year when Lamar Jackson had over 40 passing touchdowns. So just the math is hard to get there with Z Flowers. Like we're not expecting Lamar to be a better passer this year than he was a year ago.
Now Roma Dunce will be our next wide receiver. Roma Dunce was the wide receiver 61 last year. So we are pricing in significant improvement, but he was a top 10 NFL draft pick. He had a very strong profile. The coaching staff last year was the same one that held JSN down. But I do want to at least be honest, if we look at the range of outcomes, Roma Dun's age 22 season looks way more like he's going to be a bust than he's going to be some breakout receiver. I mean, if we are looking at like similar rookie seasons where the players performed well in year two, Courtland Sutton had a similar rookie year. Kenny Goliday had a similar rookie year. John Brown did as well. The hope of course is that you end up seeing Rome establish himself as the wide receiver one over DJ Moore which some beat reporters in Chicago have been pointing out could be the case.
Now Ricky Pierol will be our next receiver. Ricky Persaw was the wide receiver 62 in points per game last year but the dude got shot like you can't really hold it against him the lack of production at the beginning of the season. The very end of the year he finishes it off with 28 points in week 17, 19 points in week 18. And right now you have no Iayuk for a large chunk of the season. And on top of that you are looking at a player like um Jawan Jennings being extremely limited when it comes to the involvement early given him missing training camp.
Now Chris Lave will be our next receiver. A was the wide receiver 54 last year on points per game. But if you're looking at the yards per route run, he didn't get any worse. A over the past three seasons has been at 2.3 2.08 and 2.56 yards per route run. So, he's an extremely talented wide receiver that's proven that over and over again. The issue with it, of course, is going to be centered around the fact that it's one of the worst offenses in the league. And at the same time, you have the concussion concerns.
Um, Stefon Diggs is now in my team in the Flock League. And I'm going to be honest with you, I'm a little nervous about it. Like, I would like to trade him if I could. I've been trying to sell a depth running back and Diggs to go get an upgrade at receiver because Diggs is going into his age 32 season coming off a torn ACL. and it seems like people almost are more optimistic for him this year than they were last year when he went over to Houston. So, this is your third team in three years. You are in the perfect situation with a good quarterback and really little target competition. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Digs had a good season, but I am nervous.
Now, we've been drafting Matthew Golden as the wide receiver one in Green Bay all off seasonason. Y'all know I've been fading Jaden Reed and Jaden Reed got injured prompting up Matthew Golden to really look like he is going to be the guy in Green Bay. Now, to be honest with you, I don't love the Matthew Golden prospect profile, but the benefit that you get with Golden is you have good quarterback play and you have no competition really at all to be the wide receiver one.
Now, Jerry Judy is my wide receiver four in the Flock League. I have him hopefully producing as a wide receiver three. Last year he was the wide receiver 24 in points per game. Obviously he was great in the second half for the Cleveland Browns where if we go through and look at weeks nine onwards Jerry Judy 14 26 14 17 22 42 21 fantasy points. So I'm hoping that he starts really hot with Joe Flaco. Wins me a couple weeks maybe I could look to sell him high. I would say the expectation should be that um Flaco is not the starter all year. I think that would be a surprise.
Um, Josh DS will be the next receiver. DS is exciting if he's healthy. I think Daniel Jones being the starter helps Josh DS a lot more than Anthony Richardson would have.
Um, I love Jordan Addison and if you had a team where it's like, okay, Mason, um, all of these tier seven wide receivers are going to be on my bench to start the year anyway. maybe you actually put Jordan Addison at the top of this tier because then in that case if you're really just holding on for the by-weeks and potential depth during this season, um Jordan Addison's three-game suspension may not matter. Um I think that Addison would probably be in the tier above this if it wasn't for the suspension, but I wanted to put him here because he's going to be missing the first three weeks, which depending on your league format could be important.
Debo Samuel last year fell from the wide receiver 11 to the wide receiver 49. And with Debo Samuel, um, now you have Tara McLaren signed in Washington. So, I know a lot of people just want to make an argument saying, "Oh, it was the pneumonia. He's gonna be good to go." I I just frankly don't know how true that is, and I don't know how much of an excuse we can give him.
Now Chris Godwin will be our next receiver. Godwin, if you have an IR eligible spot, you move up higher than this. Like if you could throw Godwin on your IR after drafting him and you don't have to rely on him until um November, hell, go ahead and put Godwin at the very top of tier seven. Put him at the very bottom of tier six. It's just hard for me to make these rankings when I don't know if you're going to be able to stash Godwin. And the difficulty is like if you are not allowed to stash him in the IR, it's going to be extremely difficult for you to make waverwire moves early in the year.
Now Jawan Jennings will be our next guy. Jawan Jennings, I know we've talked about this over and over again. I think he's had four games with 20 or more fantasy points in four seasons. So, yes, the situation's perfect in San Francisco, but he's banged up. Um, he's been super volatile. He's had four good weeks ever. So, I don't know how much we can rely on him, but he is set up to crush because the situation.
Um, Jaden Reed will be our next guy. Reed fell from the wide receiver 24 to the wide receiver 41 from year 1 to year two. This is not because there was less passing volume. His target share also went down from 17.6 6% of his team's targets is 16.2%. Andy's banged up going into the year and the Packers draft multiple wide receivers. So, I'm not a big Jaden Reed guy.
Um, Khil Shakir would be higher in my rankings than this if it wasn't for the injury, but Shakir missed a decent little stretch of training camp, which I will be concerned with.
Michael Pitman Jr., I definitely like the fact that Daniel Jones is the starting quarterback here for him. I drafted a ton of them in the underdog basketball drafts. I think they're all these depth wide receivers are honestly better picks and underdog because like with Pitman are you going to be able to start him confidently um every week?
Keon Coleman had a very similar year to Roma Dunay but again like him Jacobe Myers Cooper Cup like all these wide receivers I could see being volatile and giving you a couple random weeks but in your ESPN draft if you start two wide receivers one flex when are you going to be that excited to put Cooper Cup in? when are you going to be that excited to put Jacobe Myers in? So, I mean, I would hope that you have like four or five wide receivers already on your team by the time you get to like the um Keon Coleman, Jacobe Myers, Cooper Cup range. Obviously, I will update the Jacobe Meyers ranking on flockfantasy.com the second that a trade comes through, but it does look very likely that he's going to get traded given the request and then this team deciding to sign Amari Cooper.
