Patriarchy didn't just hurt women. It emotionally stunted men.
Religion was weaponized to shame women into silence. Capitalism taught us to grind through grief, break down in private, and call it strength. The system wasn't broken. It was built this way.
This system you love so much created fathers who couldn't say "I love you" without a paycheck, mothers who continued to lose themselves and everyone else's needs. Boys who never learned to cry. And girls who were told to smile through the damage, and then it dared to call it tradition.
So when I say these men ain't, I'm also saying this system isn't. It's the silence, the shame, the pressure to stay small, the fear of being too loud, too emotional, and too honest. These men ain't. And if that makes you uncomfortable, good. It's working.
