And actually the cleanest way. Take your 808 and your kick to separate mixer channels. On your kick channel, add Fruity Peak Controller and on your 808, add equalizer. On your EQ, pick the band two and place it where your kick hits. For me, it's around 60 hertz.
Now click on this arrow, choose browse parameters. Then here, right click the band level two and select link to controller. In the menu, choose peak controller peak and here select inverted.
Now go back to your kick, open Fruity Peak Controller, set the base to about 50% and the volume around 20%. Now every time the kick hits, the 808 ducks.
