Mi, welcome to week eight of the Flock League where every single matchup moving from this moment on is crucial because we're trying to win $10,000. Okay, $10,000 is on the line and every start sit decision, every yard, every catch, every run, every touchdown is going to matter from this moment on.
Why? Because it is bypocalypse. There are six teams that are on by week, meaning that you're going to have to hit the waiver wire. Meaning that you're going to have to make trades. Meaning that you're going to have to hope who wherever you're starting at your flex option is going to break out. And you got to hope and believe it. That is going to happen right now.
And let me just remind you of the standings. If this season were to end right now, at first overall, we have Sal at 6-1. Second overall, we have Mason at 5-2. Zero Dark Avery at 4 and three. We have five teams at 4 and3. and zero dark Avery is currently first. The dev roll, if there's anyone, any team that I want to win this league is the dev guys. They deserve it the most. They've been working hard on the Flock Fancy website. Shout out to them. Unk aka Bush, who's currently fifth, also four and three. And then just sneaking in there is Thomas the editor at 4 and three. And then the teams that weren't going to make it if the season were to end today is Danny Lad, Nathan, Zack, the fan, Nick the editor, and myself. So keep that in mind as you're going to be seeing a theme of a lot of teams starting a lot of random players going into this week.
And let's start off with the first matchup that we have, and that is Bush versus the dev teams. Once again, I love the dev team here, but they're also struggling at the position with by weeks. You can see it right off the rip with Isaiah Davis there. They're starting him at his RB2. Why? Because they have Jir Gibbs on a buy. Who else is sitting on their bench on a by-week? Jackson, Smith, and Jigba. One of the best wide receivers in the league so far. But Bush, man, BCH is having a big boost this week because he's getting Lamar Jackson. He has Bejon Robinson. I think BC definitely has the edge just purely based off of the by-weeks that the devs are currently struggling with.
>> All right, so we're in week eight. got a winning record. We're four and three. And quietly, this is a really important matchup because Dev Row, the dev team, and I are two of the only matchups this week that are actually between two playoff teams. Two weeks ago, this matchup looked like a cakewalk because the devs don't have Jir Gibbs and the devs don't have JSN. But now, I don't have Kenneth Walker and I don't have Marvin Harrison. I think this is going to be a really important matchup. Hopefully, like Mason, I don't fall to the devs. Should be an easy matchup for me, but I'm not taking the devs lightly because they have a couple of good matchups. So, I'm not taking them lightly. But, uh, the devs, you're going down. This is an easy win for me.
Going to the next matchup here. Thomas, the editor versus S. If there is any team that every single one of the owners or managers are looking at saying, hey, we need to take this guy down. I feel like right now that's probably S. starting Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, the coonus on both of those running backs are absolutely massive. Lucky for S, he is not really dealing with by-weeks. And Thomas the editor, I mean, man, I'm not going to lie, man. This is this is also struggling. Um, there's no talent on this team outside of the two players on by week in Amanra St. Brown and Ashton Genty. But hey, I can't say anything. He's four and three. Shout out to Thomas for doing his work. And hey, I'm sorry that you have to edit all of Mason's videos and watch him every single pretty much almost every second of your life.
This week's matchup is against Thomas. And I mean, it has it's wreaking of a letown spot for my team. My team just came up for the highest scoring matchup in Flock League history. Points everywhere from Avery's side, my side, and we scored the most points in regular season history to move to six-1. Sole possession of first place with the best record. This reeks, it absolutely reeks of a letown spot. To make matters even worse for my team just coming out really slow this week, Thomas the editor we're facing this week doesn't have his top two picks. Doesn't have Ashton Genty. Doesn't have Aman Ross St. Brown. His top two picks on his team aren't playing football. Everything is m setting up nicely for me to move to seven and one, but something just reeks of a letown spot. So I think we have to cher channel our inner Michael Jordan. Just find some reason to have a chip on our shoulder this week. So I I started to think what what's not to like about Thomas? The guy's been nice. Uh, there's nothing wrong with him. He hasn't slighted me as far as I know. Everything's cordial anytime we're interacting. So, that sucks. I can only be more mean to me. But then I remembered one thing. Thomas edits for Mason Dot. That alone is a reason to maybe get up for this game and try and just put the absolute foot on the neck of Thomas here and not spare him at all. But then I remembered in week one, Josh Allen dropped 40 points on Monday Night Football. My only loss of the season. Put me to 0 and one. Since then, we've won six in a But our only loss in that column, that one in the lost column, courtesy of Mason Dot. So, if we're trying to get up this week, what better way to get back at Mason for beating us than taking his editor out back just absolutely taking him to town this week to move to 7-1. And then maybe at the end of it, offer Thomas a little bit of a raise to come edit for team Salvetry.
Speaking of Mason Dodd, he is currently next here on this matchup going against Nick the editor. Nick the editor. You know, where I come from, you know, in the land community, we like to say transparency is key. Your team is not good, and I'm sorry. I I'm truly sorry, and I know you're also dealing with injuries. I know you're also going through the motion, but man, there's no one on this team that I want, but I mean, Mason over here making trades week in and week out, as much as I hate to say it, this team is really good. The edges to Mason, and I'm sorry, Nick, I love you.
So, in the last video, we saw Mason go out and make a bunch of trades. And what nobody's talking about is why he did it. And the real reason is because Mason, he's terrified. This week, Mason has to play me. And yes, I'm one and six. Yes, I'm rolling out the entire waiver wire because my team's on by and injured. But the real reason why Mason is scared is because if you go and look at his record against teams that are under 500, it starts to get scary. I went and did the math and this season Mason is 4-0 against teams that are 500 and over, but he's only 1 and2 against teams who are struggling under 500. And if you actually look at it, the only team that he's beaten that is under 500 was Avery in week 2 when he was 0 and1. So it doesn't really count. That means that this week is the perfect time to see the start of the downfall of Mason Dodd.
You want to know the pressure of being Mason Dodd? You wouldn't have any idea what it's like. We're in week eight of the NFL season. I've had two losses on my record and everybody is acting like I'm done for. Everybody is acting like it's the most disappointing thing in the world. And yes, I understand the expectations for the team of Destiny are we go 8 and0 at this point, right? But that's no longer possible. So what do we do? We send a message to the team. Hey, the expectations are skyhigh. So the performance better be there as well or your ass going to get traded. So Cam Scataboo has turned into Roma and say we get to play Nick the editor. this week. I don't know if you have had a chance to look at his team, but it is certifiably cheeks. It's horrible. I mean, and this week it's even worse because he has everybody on by. But the issue that my team's had in the past is we play down to our competition. I know everybody's talking about, "Oh my gosh, oh, have you seen S's team? Oh, have you seen Avery's team? They're so good. Oh my gosh, look how many points they put up last week." I beat both of them no problem. It's the easiest thing I'd ever done in my entire life. If y'all think that Avery and S have something going on, just wait until they face me later in the season. I'll put them in their place real quick.
>> All right, the second matchup here that is four and three that's really going to really solidify and change the trajectory of one of these teams. It is Avery versus Danny Lad. Danny doesn't really have anyone to speak of in a bi-week with Travis Hunter. Neither does Avery, but hey, Avery's team is also coming on a hot streak. You know, obviously he did lose last week, but if I'm not mistaken, he won almost four in a row. Danny already lost last week, saying, "Well, hey, I'm going to be looking for the future and hoping that these players are going to come back with having CD Lamb trading away Drake London." I don't think that really helped him personally. There's no doubt in my mind Avery has the edge on that one.
All right, here I am on the campus of uh UC Boulder. As you can see in the background, I came to uh ask Coach Prime for some coaching advice because evidently I don't know how to coach fantasy football team. Now, this week we're going to play Danny. And I'm sure I'm I've already gotten about a 50 or 75 messages from Danny this week about a number of things. But Sleeper says we're projected to win by I think 30 points. And if we learned anything last week, it's that Sleeper doesn't know what it's talking about. Cuz I was a 95% chance, 50 point favorite to win. And what happened? We're looking to rebound this week. We got to we got to put up a ton of points without Danny. Danny has a bunch of guys on buy. I mean, he's flexing Coulson Loveland, who best game all all season is five points. I'm going to expect him to put up like 20 25 points minimum. Tonight, the only guy he has is his kicker. So, if we can keep Will Riker under like 20 points, I mean, I think that's a big win. Again, it's it's it's baby steps. It's why I'm here. I was asking Coach Prime how I can improve my coaching. He mentioned something about getting my toe amputated, which I'm not probably going to do, but either way, it's bounceback time. Obviously, I'm traveling this weekend, but I'm still locked in. and we've got to beat the Ladster this week after he made a bunch of big moves.
>> So, I just wanted to go over my lineup going into this pivotal matchup. We do have Avon on Deck going into week eight of the Flock League. But obviously, the team is looking very different after our week of trades. Dak Prescott, my starting quarterback. I do trust him. That's the reason I traded for him. I do love me some Dak Prescott. Of course, stacking up with my CD Lamb. George Mickson CD Lamb is the best wide receiver duel in the league right now. And I mean, CD Lamb is averaging 20 points per game if you exclude the game that he left early. So, we love CD Lamb. That's our wide receiver one for this week. We go to the running backs and this is the main reason obviously I acquire Quinton Judkins. When a rookie running back shows you top 12 level upside there is the possibility they exponentially get better as the season goes along. Coulson Lovelin, this is your time to shine. I'm putting you in the lineup. No Cole KT for the Bears this week and a juicy matchup on deck against the Baltimore Ravens. Coulson, show why you were a top 10 NFL pick. Show why I called you the next Brock Bowers coming into the year. The talent is there. Now you got the opportunity. Now let's see the production. Feel great. Again, we are the underdog against Avery. I fully expected to be the underdog, but at the same time, I believe in my squad, and I think we do have the puncher chance to be able to take him down this week. Here's to hoping that my fantasy football team is better than uh the old Colorado Buffs this week.
>> All right, going into the next matchup here. A three and four matchup. Really crucial is Zack versus Sammy here. Both three and four. And both of these guys could potentially take the bottom away from me because if I go on a winning streak, one of these guys could potentially be at Denny's and replacing me. Now, Zach, in terms of by-week, he only has Jameson Williams right now, but he is struggling with injury. Look, like I said, I don't want either of these guys to lose, but if I had to choose, it might have to be the guy that doesn't have the the best team right the moment. And if I had to give you one, that might have to be Sammy.
>> This week, we play against the fan, and I'm not going to lie, it's been pretty hilarious back and forth text messages between us. We're both basically praying that the other person's injury report looks the way we want it to. So, like, for example, when I found out that Aaron Jones was practicing this week, I texted Sammy. I was like, I love Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones is my favorite player. And then the next day we found out that both Jaden Daniels and Bucky Irving ruled out and uh Sammy sent me a message and said that those notifications gave him life. And now I'm currently praying that Nico Collins doesn't play. You know, that might sound terrible, but hey, I'm I'm worried about his health. Ricky Paw, he's just not ready, coach. He's just not ready. Let's not get Ricky Paw in there. You know, even even Debo Samuel. Hey, I know Debo looks great Washington, but without Jaden Daniels out there, let's just let's just give him another week of rest. In my opinion, what do you guys say? What we did on the waiverwire this week is we said, you know what, Aronda Gadston is out there. Let's be so for real with our roster. Like we said last week, our team is ass. We got to kind of work a little bit harder for our weekly lineups. So, we said, you know what, Aronda Gaden, rookie who has put in back-to-back incredible performances, let's go all out for him. and we actually won the Aronda Gadsden bet by about a dollar. But honestly, I went hard because I'm looking at my roster every week and I'm asking myself, Zach, would you really rather start Jameson Williams over Aronda Gadston each week in your flex? And the answer was simply no. No, I would not. Not only are we starting Gadston in our tight end spot this week, we're also starting Jake Ferguson. We might be a two tight end start team every week, but like I said, uh we are going to bank on every opportunity that we can to improve this team with the Waverwire. So, tonight heading into the game, I think the absolute best case scenario for me is somehow Gadston outscores both of them. I need it to be a big Aaron Jones game. I need Keenan to disappear and Gadston to outscore both of them. Then we'll be going into the weekend feeling pretty good.
>> Coming up against Mr. Zack Savage this week. Obviously, I've been a fan for a long time. Going back a few years, watching the Dynasty Land content, but we got to put all that aside this week. We mean business. All right. There's no friendships in this league, and we need to win badly. Zach and I are both sitting at the bottom of the standings at 3 and four. We both need a win here cuz three and five, you start to feel like Nick and Bodaki at the very bottom. And this matchup between Zach and I, it looks like the third floor of your local hospital. Everybody's hurt. I just lost Mike Evans. Nico Collins looks like he might not go. And my replacement for Nico would be Ricky Pierol, but he's probably also unavailable, so I'm going to have to plug Kendrick Bourne into my lineup. Zach has been without Bucky Irving for a few weeks. Then he makes the trade with his injured Puka Nakua for Jaden Daniels and Drake London. Now he's without Jaden Daniels this week. He's going to have to be starting Joe Flacco. Neither team is at full strength here. And when you're not dealing with loads of talent, hard work is what's going to win this game. Grit is what is going to win this matchup. And that is the message to my guys this week.
>> All right, the last matchup of the week here is yours truly versus Nathan aka the bug. Now, Nathan, you traded away your one true love. You traded away the guy you believed in when no one else did. Now, I hate the player that you got because I do believe it makes your team better. And Cameron Scatteroo, a Giants fan. I'm going to be watching him. I'm going to be rooting for him, but at the same time, I hope an era and sleeper happens where they just give him zero. No Devonte Adams, no Zack Shaw, who got me my first win this past week. No Jared G either. Look who I'm starting, ladies and gentlemen. Chase Brown, James Cook is coming back. Shakira Shakir as my wide receiver won. And TZ Johnson, my flex option is absolutely abysmal. Look, if I beat Nathan and obviously one of Zack and Sammy is going to lose, I'm only one game behind of getting out of the bottom. And there's a God in heaven that I believe that could potentially happen. Moral of the story of week seven, never underestimate your opponents. Uh Mason was the sacrificial lamb last week. Um where, you know, he went in thinking that he was, you know, going to have a by-week. S made this mistake when he went up against me and thought he was just going to be chilling all week and then had to win by a stack correction. I cannot make that same mistake this week. I've got Baki. I respect him as an opponent. I know he has a couple of guys on buy. Devonte Adams, who popped off last week, was a big reason that he won, is actually on buy this week. That's nice for me, but it doesn't mean that I can just sit back and relax and not expect anything out of my players. I still have to score plenty of points. I still need to win. I need to go on a winning streak here. And it starts here. It starts in week eight with the daki. So, Jefferson and Addison playing tonight. I still have Carson Wentz at QB, which means there's going to be plenty of passing volume, plenty of opportunity for both of them to produce. So, I I need a big one tonight. Here we go.

>> That's Mr. Aronda Gadton, the dad's daddy. Arande 3000, the Godzilla. He's giving me a reason to love fantasy football again. Aronda the Giant. I don't know. We're coming up with nicknames, but this kid, he might actually be my best player now. Mr. Zachary Savage Cooking. Okay, so I know we don't talk much about the waiverwire because usually not much happens. Usually it doesn't really matter, but Gatson was the top waiverwire pickup. If you watch any YouTube videos, every single person in their mom would have told you that, right? Obviously, in our league, I went, "Oh, okay. Well, I need a tight end. Let me go ahead and let me get Gatsson." So, I placed a little bit of a I I placed a bid. I'm not going to act like it was the appropriate amount. Clearly, we know now that it wasn't even really close to being the appropriate amount. I went through and I think I bid a total of $21, which was the second highest bid. You can see it here. And Mr. Zachary Savage, as if he can log into my account and see my bids, goes over the top $1, gets 22. I could use those Gatson points more than anything in the world right now. This week instead, I'm having to freaking start Hunter Henry. Shout out to you, Mr. Savage. Honestly, Gatsson's really going to help you win a game in the toilet bowl.
>> Yes, Mason. I know you need a tight end. Funnily enough, if you guys don't know, Mason sent me a trade last night and you know how on Sleeper you can send a trade and it you can say have this expire at a certain time. Well, talk about knowing your league. Mason sends me a deal that expires while I'm sleeping and it expires before I even wake up. Now, the deal was terrible, but Mason, if you want a tight end, Jake Ferguson is available at the right price. Hit me up. But the last offer you sent, let's be honest, like Michael Scott when he was going to sell the Michael Scott company, I reject your first offer. Send me your next best offer.
>> Justin Herbert has 190 yards and Quinton Johnson doesn't have a single target. Avery, I don't know what you said to him, but tell him to stop.
>> Look, to be honest, I don't know how Thursday night could have gone any better. Gadden had a great game. 18 points, almost doubles, Keenan and Jordan Mason's points. Love Sammy, but we need this win. And that's a huge effort from the kid. I mean, this Gazden kid, he could be carrying the load for team Zack the whole damn year.
>> Well, Thursday night football is in the books. Lad Makoni Cooks 20 points. Kamani Vidal 20 points. Absolutely the way we wanted to start this week. We are on the road to having a 5-3 record. The rest of the league should be scared because I got a four stack of wide receivers plus Josh Downs and Brandon Iayuk. I got two usable tight ends and Lamar Jackson. It's looking nice for T-Munk going forward. We can we can compete for this buy. It ain't just, oh, let's make the playoffs and see what happens. We're coming for that second buy spot.
>> A lot of people are wondering, "Oh my gosh, why did Quinton Johnston score zero points? What happened to the Big Q? What happened to QJ?" Blah blah. Come on, you know what happened. Are we going to act? Are we going to pretend like I don't have a personal connection to Quinton Johnston at a spiritual level? We're going to pretend like he did not see the Flock League preview and know that I was going up against him in a week that is crucial for me to win because we lost last week. Of course, he knew that. Of course, he wasn't going to go out there and score fantasy points against his real owner. We had a double agent out there. I mean, sent to sabotage Nick's team. And QJ, I love you, buddy, and can't wait to do great things with you later in the season.
