There is a reason the kingdom of darkness is so organized, so strategic, so relentlessly effective. It is not because demons are more powerful than God. They are not. It is not because witches and warlocks have discovered something God did not create. They have not. It is because they have studied something, something ancient, something biblical, something profoundly powerful that the modern church has largely abandoned, ignored, or watered down beyond recognition. They have studied altars.
While most Christians think of an altar as a piece of furniture at the front of a church building, a place where people walk down to pray on Sunday mornings, practitioners of darkness understand that an altar is one of the most powerful spiritual mechanisms in existence. They know how to build them. They know how to feed them. They know how to use them to speak into the lives, destinies, families, and finances of people they have never even met. And most believers have no idea. That changes today.
In this video, we are going to cover 10 things that witches and warlocks know about altars. Things the church has largely neglected to teach. We are going to expose how evil altars are built, how they operate, and what they target. What is an altar? Before we go into the 10 secrets, we must establish the biblical foundation because some of you watching have been taught that altars are Old Testament concepts, that they ended at the cross, that they have no relevance to the New Testament believer. And that is a dangerous misunderstanding.
From the very beginning of scripture, altars appear as primary points of contact between God and humanity. Noah built an altar immediately after the flood, and God smelled the offering and made a covenant. Genesis 8:20. Abraham built altars everywhere he went, at Shechem, at Bethel, at Hebron. And each altar marked a place where God met him and made promises. Genesis 12 and 13. Isaac built altars. Jacob built altars. Moses built altars. Joshua built altars. David built altars. These were not mere religious rituals. Each altar was a spiritual transaction point, a place where heaven and earth connected, where covenants were established, where God's presence was anchored to a specific person, family, or territory.
Then Noah built an altar to the Lord. And ran took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Genesis 8:20-21.
And here is what the enemy observed across all of human history. If altars work for God, if they genuinely connect heaven and earth, establish covenants, and invoke spiritual power, then a counterfeit version of the same mechanism can be used to connect the kingdom of darkness to human lives. That is exactly what witchcraft does. And that is exactly what we are exposing today.
Secret one. Altars are spiritual transaction points. The first and most foundational thing practitioners of darkness understand is this. An altar is not a symbol, it is not a metaphor. It is a transaction point, a location in the spiritual realm where exchanges take place between the physical world and the spirit world. When a witch or warlock builds an altar, they are not merely performing a ritual for psychological comfort. They are opening a portal, a designated gate through which spiritual power flows in both directions. They bring something to the altar. They invoke a spirit. And that spirit responds by flowing power, assignment, or influence back through the gate into the physical realm.
This is why occult practitioners are so deliberate about what goes on their altars. Specific objects, specific substances, specific words spoken at specific times. They understand that the altar is a gateway. And what you bring to the gateway determines what comes through it. Which for every altar in the Bible, whether holy or profane, functioned as a gate, a transaction point, a place where something was given and something was received.
You shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images. For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord whose name is jealous is a jealous God. Exodus 34:13-14.
God's instruction was not to avoid altars. It was to destroy the wrong ones and build the right ones. Because God himself established the altar as the mechanism through which his covenant blessings flow to his people. The believer who understands that an altar is a spiritual transaction point will stop treating prayer and worship as empty religious duties and start treating them as what they actually are: covenant transactions with the living God that release real spiritual power into the physical realm.
Secret two. Every altar must be fed. Here is something that every serious practitioner of darkness understands and that most Christians have never been taught. An altar is a living spiritual entity. And like every living thing, it must be fed. An altar that is not fed goes cold. When an altar goes cold, the spiritual connection weakens. The covenant power drains. The gate closes.
This is why witchcraft practitioners are so disciplined about maintaining their altars. Regular offerings, regular rituals, regular sacrifices. They know that consistency is power. An altar maintained with consistent sacrifice is an altar that remains open, active, and dangerous.
What feeds an evil altar? Sacrifices, which can include blood offerings, dedicated objects, specific foods, and in darker forms of witchcraft, the deliberate destruction or suffering of a targeted individual. Sexual immorality feeds certain altars. The offering of children through dedication or, in darker forms, through actual harm, feeds ancestral altars. Consistent sin, consistent rebellion against God, consistent engagement with darkness. All of these are forms of feeding that keep evil altars active.
What the Bible says. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, and that which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1.
God's altar, the godly altar, is fed by sacrifice, too. But not blood sacrifice. That was fulfilled permanently and completely in Jesus Christ. The godly altar is fed by the sacrifice of consecration, presenting your body, your time, your worship, your obedience, your prayer life as a living offering to God. Every time you fast, you feed the altar. Every time you pray through the night, you feed the altar. Every time you choose obedience over comfort, you feed the altar. An inconsistent prayer life is a cold altar. A cold altar is a closed gate. The enemy knows this. Which is why one of his primary strategies against believers is busyness, distraction, and prayerlessness. He wants your altar cold. Keep it burning.
Secret three. Altars speak and they are heard. And this is perhaps the most unsettling truth in this entire teaching. And practitioners of darkness know it well. Altars have a voice. When an altar is built and maintained, whether godly or evil, it speaks continuously in the spirit realm. It does not sleep. It does not take days off. A functioning altar speaks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, releasing either blessing or curse, either divine favor or demonic assignment, into the life of the person it is connected to.
When a witch or warlock builds an evil altar against a specific person, they name that person at the altar. They may use objects connected to that person, a photograph, a piece of clothing, a personal item. They speak curses, death, failure, sickness, and destruction over that altar. And from that point, when the altar begins to speak those things in the spirit realm over that person's life. This is why some people experience a sudden, unexplained shift in their circumstances. Things were going well, and then without any natural explanation, everything started falling apart. A voice was raised against them. An altar began to speak.
What the Bible says. The blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Hebrews 12:24. Abel's blood spoke. It cried out from the ground to God after Cain murdered him. Genesis 4:10. Blood speaks. Altars speak. And the blood of Jesus Christ, applied at the altar of God through prayer and covenant, speaks louder, speaks higher, and speaks with greater authority than any evil altar on the face of the earth. Every believer must understand that the battle is not just physical. It is a battle of voices. The question is, whose altar is speaking louder over your life? The answer depends entirely on which altar you are maintaining.
Secret four, altars establish legal territory. The kingdom of darkness operates on legal principles. Demons do not have the right to simply go wherever they please and do whatever they want. They need legal access. They need an open door. They need an invitation, whether conscious or unconscious, that gives them the legal right to operate in a specific territory. An altar is one of the most powerful legal instruments in the spirit realm.
When an altar is built in a location, in a home, on a piece of land, in a city, it establishes spiritual legal territory. It plants a flag. It says, this ground belongs to the spirit that this altar was built for, and that spirit now has the legal right to operate within that territory. This is why witchcraft practitioners strategically place objects, bury items, or perform rituals at the borders of properties, at the thresholds of homes, at the foundations of buildings. They are establishing territorial altars, legal claims on specific physical locations in the spirit realm. And as long as those altars stand and are maintained, the demonic spirits they invoke have legal right to operate on that ground.
This is also why some people notice that their spiritual oppression intensifies the moment they move into a new home. Not because they did anything wrong, but because they walked into territory where an evil altar had already established a legal claim.
What the Bible says, the earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1. God owns everything, but possession and legal occupation are different realities. When Israel refused to drive out the inhabitants of Canaan, they allowed the altars of those nations to remain standing, and those altars became snares. Judges 2:2-3. The principle is the same today. Wherever an evil altar has established territorial claim, that claim must be actively revoked and replaced with a godly altar. Dedicate your home to God. Pray over every room. Anoint the doorposts. Ask God to reveal and revoke every territorial claim that darkness has made on your ground. Build your godly altar in that space and establish divine legal territory in its place.
Secret five, evil altars target bloodlines, not just individuals. One of the most devastating realities of evil altar operations is this. When darkness builds an altar against a family, it does not just target the person standing in front of it. It targets the entire bloodline. Witchcraft practitioners understand generational power. They know that a covenant made with a demonic entity does not expire with the person who made it. It travels down the bloodline, attaching itself to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, until someone in that line has enough spiritual understanding and authority to break it.
This is why you see consistent patterns across entire family lines. Every male in the family dies young. Every generation struggles financially in exactly the same way. Every firstborn child faces the same specific attack. Marriage never lasts beyond a certain point. These are not coincidences. These are altars speaking, generational altars that were built in the family's history and that continue to operate because no one has ever specifically revoked them. Practitioners of darkness know that if you want to destroy a family line, you do not just curse the current generation. You build an altar that targets the bloodline and let it speak across generations. The destruction compounds over time.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:13-14. The blood of Jesus Christ is the most powerful covenant blood in existence. Like it does not just cover your personal sin, it breaks every generational covenant and every bloodline altar that darkness has ever built in your family line. The question is not whether the power is available. The question is whether you will specifically invoke it, by name, by declaration, by targeted prayer, against every altar operating in your bloodline. Do not wait for the next generation to deal with what your generation can break. Stand as a covenant intercessor for your bloodline. Name the patterns you see. Break them by the blood of Jesus. Raise a godly altar in your family line that speaks blessing over every generation that follows you.

Secret six, household objects can become altars. An altar does not have to be a dedicated shrine with candles and ritual objects to be spiritually active. Practitioners of darkness know that almost any physical object can be consecrated, dedicated to a demonic purpose, and function as a portable altar. Gifts given with a demonic assignment embedded in them. Artwork and sculptures that carry occult symbolism or have been ritually dedicated. Specific pieces of jewelry given by someone operating in witchcraft. Items buried on or near a property. Clothing or personal effects used in ritual. All of these can function as physical anchor points for demonic altars, objects through which an evil altar continues to speak into a home or into a person's life.
This is why some believers notice that their spiritual oppression lifted immediately when they removed a specific object from their home. It was not coincidence. That object was a dedicated altar anchor, and when it was removed and destroyed, the altar's voice over that household was silenced.
You shall burn the carved images of their gods with fire. You shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 7:25. A God's instruction was absolute. Do not bring dedicated objects into your home. The silver and gold on an idol looked valuable, but carrying it in meant carrying its altar assignment in with it. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal every object in your home that carries a demonic dedication. Do not be afraid of this process. The Holy Spirit is faithful to show you. When he reveals something, remove it, renounce it, destroy it if possible, and replace the spiritual vacancy with dedicated prayer and worship.
Secret seven, evil altars can only be defeated by a superior altar. Here is a truth that changes the entire strategy of spiritual warfare, and practitioners of darkness understand it, even if most believers do not. You cannot defeat an altar with a prayer alone. You defeat an altar with a superior altar.
When Elijah confronted the 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, he did not simply pray against their altar. He built his own. He built a 12-stone altar in the name of the Lord. He prepared a sacrifice. He drenched it in water three times, and then he called on God, and the fire of God fell and consumed not just the sacrifice, not just the altar, but the very water in the trench around it. First Kings 18. The prophets of Baal had been crying out to their altar all day, but when a superior altar was raised, a godly altar built on covenant, sacrifice, and the name of the living God, their altar fell silent. Their god did not answer. Their voice was swallowed up by the voice of the true and living God.
This is the strategy, not just tearing down evil altars, though that is necessary, but building godly altars that are so active, so consistently maintained, so saturated with the presence of God, that every evil altar assigned against you simply cannot compete.
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. First Kings 18:38. Stop fighting from a posture of pure defense. Go on offense. Build your altar. Maintain it. Feed it with your prayer, fasting, and the word. When your altar is burning, the enemy's altar is outmatched.
Secret eight, the godly altar is built on sacrifice, consecration, and the word. Now we move from what the enemy knows to what the believer must do. Building a godly altar is not complicated, but it requires intentionality and consistency. There are three foundational elements. Uh, well, the first is sacrifice. As we established in secret two, every altar must be fed. The godly altar is fed by the sacrifice of your time, your body, your will, and your worship. Romans 12:1. This means dedicated, consistent, unhurried time before God. It means choosing prayer over entertainment, choosing the word over comfort, choosing fasting over appetite. Every sacrifice you make is wood on the fire of your altar.
The second is consecration. Consecration means setting apart, separating yourself and your space specifically for God. This includes physically dedicating your home to God, anointing your door posts, removing every object that carries a demonic dedication, repenting of every open door, every sin, every ungodly covenant, every forbidden practice. Consecration closes every legal door that darkness was using to speak into your life.
The third is the word. The altar of God is a word altar. Jesus said in John 15:7, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." The word spoken at your altar is what carries divine authority, declarations, decrees, scriptures prayed with faith. This is the fire that makes the enemy's altar tremble.
"If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." John 15:7. Build your altar on these three pillars. Make a specific time and place for daily prayer. Consecrate your home. Speak the word out loud over your life, your family, and your destiny every single day.
Secret nine. Prayer and worship are the fire that keeps your altar alive. In Leviticus 6:12-13, God gave a specific instruction to Israel concerning the altar of burnt offering. He said, "The fire on the altar shall be kept burning. It shall not be put out. Every morning the priest shall add wood to it. The fire must never go out." This was not just a ceremonial instruction, it was a spiritual principle for every generation. The fire on the altar of God must never go cold. It must be tended. It must be fed every morning without exception.
For the New Testament believer, the fire on the altar is maintained through two primary activities: prayer and worship. Prayer is the transaction, bringing your petitions, your warfare, your intercession, and your consecration before God. Worship is the declaration of God's greatness, his lordship, his covenant faithfulness. When this makes your altar a place where the enemy cannot stand. The Bible says God inhabits the praises of his people. Psalm 22:3. When you worship, God shows up. And where God shows up, darkness flees.
The enemy's greatest strategy against your altar is not direct confrontation. It is distraction, busyness, discouragement, and spiritual dryness. Anything that causes you to stop praying, stop worshipping, and let the fire go cold. A cold altar is a powerless altar. A cold altar cannot silence the enemy's voice over your life.
A fire shall always be burning on the altar. It shall never go out. Leviticus 6:13. Make a covenant with God about your altar. Set a time. Make it non-negotiable. Let nothing put it out. Your prayer life is not just a spiritual discipline. It is the fire that keeps your altar speaking, your territory secured, sources, and your family covered.
Secret 10. When your altar is active, demonic altars lose their voice. Everything we have taught in this video leads to this final point, the one that synthesizes everything and gives you a clear picture of how to walk in total victory. When your godly altar is active, consistently maintained, burning with prayer and worship, built on sacrifice in the word, defended by consecration in the blood of Jesus, every evil altar that has been raised against you begins to lose its voice. Not because you fought it directly, but because a superior voice drowned it out.
This is what happened in 1 Kings 18. The moment Elijah's altar was answered by fire from heaven, the prophets of Baal were exposed, disgraced, and destroyed. Their altar had been speaking all day, but when the true altar was raised, their voice became noise, irrelevant, powerless. This is what happens in your life when you maintain a burning, active, word-saturated, godly altar. The spirit of poverty that has been speaking over your finances loses its assignment. The ancestral altar speaking sickness over your bloodline is drowned out by the covenant voice of the blood of Jesus. The territorial altar speaking confusion and delay over your destiny cannot compete with the fire of a praying, worshipping, consecrated believer who has built an altar in the name of the Lord.
You do not have to live as a victim of what the enemy has built against you. You are a covenant child of God. You have access to a fire that no witchcraft altar can withstand. Raise your altar. Keep it burning. And let the voice of God speak louder over your life than every voice of darkness combined.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Isaiah 54:17. Every tongue, every voice, every altar, condemned, silenced, powerless. That is your heritage. Walk in it.
Before we raise our altar in prayer, speak these declarations out loud, not in your head, out of your mouth. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Open your mouth and decree these things over your life right now. Speak these aloud.
I am a covenant child of God, and I have legal access to the altar of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Every evil altar that has been raised against my life, my family, my finances, and my destiny, I silence your voice now in the name of Jesus. Every altar speaking against my bloodline, I break your assignment by the superior covenant of the blood of Jesus. Galatians 3:13 is my legal ground. The curse is broken. The blessing is released. I renounce every object, every covenant, and every dedication in my home or on my property that functions as an anchor for an evil altar. Those anchors are destroyed and their voices silenced in Jesus' name. I raise a godly altar in my home, in my family, and over my bloodline. This altar is fed by my prayer, my worship, my sacrifice, and the word of God. It burns continuously and it cannot be put out. My altar speaks blessing, abundance, healing, and divine destiny over my life and my children's lives. And no evil altar can drown out its voice. I declare, the fire is falling on my altar. God answers by fire. I and every false altar is exposed, defeated, and destroyed in Jesus' name. Say it. My altar is burning. The enemy's altar is silenced in Jesus' name. Amen.
Now we pray. If you can, lift your hands or kneel. Position your heart before God. We are not performing a ritual. We are entering into covenant. We are raising an altar, and we are pulling down every evil altar that has been operating against our lives. Let's go.
Father, we come before you through the blood of Jesus Christ. We thank you that because of what Jesus did at Calvary, we have access to your throne room. We have your ear. We have covenant authority over every work of darkness. We thank you that you are the God who answers by fire. You answered Elijah's altar on Mount Carmel. You answered Abraham's altar at Moriah. When you answered David's altar on the threshing floor of Ornan, and you answer our altar today because we come in the name of your son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, whose blood speaks better things than Abel's.
Lord, we build our altar before you right now. We lay on this altar our time. We consecrate our prayer life to you. We lay on this altar our homes. We dedicate every room, every door post, every inch of our territory to the lordship of Jesus Christ. We lay on this altar our bodies. We present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to you. Romans 12:1. We declare that this altar is built in the name of the Lord, the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of the living God. This altar is built on the word. This altar is consecrated by the blood of Jesus. This altar is ignited by the fire of the Holy Spirit, and it will not go cold.
Father, let your fire fall on this altar right now. Consume the sacrifice. Consume the offering. Let your presence descend on every person building this altar with us today, in their home, in their prayer closet, wherever they are watching. Let the fire of God fall. Let the glory of God fill this space. Let heaven respond to this altar.
Now Father, in the name of Jesus, we address every evil altar that has been raised against us. Every altar built in our family line through ancestral covenants, occult membership, blood dedications, or generational sin, we revoke every covenant that opened a door to those altars. We plead the blood of Jesus over every demonic legal claim, and we declare those altars broken, silenced, and destroyed now and forever. We address every territorial altar operating in our homes. Every object, every gift, every embedded dedication that functions as an anchor for darkness, we renounce it. We reject it, and by faith we remove it from our territory. We anoint our door posts with the blood of Jesus. We declare that this ground belongs to God. No evil altar has legal occupancy here any longer. The Lord is the rightful owner of this ground. Psalm 24:1. And we enforce his ownership right now.
We address every altar that has been built by witchcraft, by the hands of enemies seen and unseen, against our finances, our marriages, our health, our children, and our callings. We do not curse those who built these altars. We pray for their salvation. But we cancel every assignment those altars have been speaking against us. We silence their voice. We break their legal authority. And we declare that the blood of Jesus has spoken. And his voice overrides every other voice in the spirit realm over our lives.
Father, the fire has fallen on our altar. The sacrifice has been consumed. The enemy's altar has been exposed and silenced. And now we receive what the altar releases. We receive covenant blessing over our finances. We receive divine health over our bodies. We receive restoration in our marriages and families. We receive open doors over our careers and callings. We receive clarity, direction, and supernatural acceleration over our God-given destiny. We receive peace. The peace that passes understanding over our minds and households. We declare that our altar will burn from this day forward. We will feed it with prayer. We will feed it with worship. We will feed it with the word. We will tend the fire every morning as God instructed Israel. And we will never let it go cold. Every evil altar assigned against us is outmatched, outvoiced, outpowered by the altar of the living God burning in our lives. Let every demonic entity that has been assigned against us hear this declaration today. Your altar has lost its voice. The fire of God has fallen. And we are walking in the fullness of what Jesus Christ purchased for us at Calvary. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our altar is raised. Our fire is burning. Our victory is established. Amen. Amen. And amen.
