Donald Trump's cognitive and physical decline is undeniable. There is no amount of lies that Carolyn Levit can tell, no culture war that Fox can spin up to distract us from the fact that this man is breaking down before our very eyes. And he did so on national television at the Army Navy game, in which Donald Trump pretended to play patriotism when we know that is in fact the opposite of his entire presidency. But what he couldn't play is a normal person making normal movements because on the coin toss, uh, Donald Trump, well, we'll get into it because it was bad.

Now, before we get into that really disastrous moment for Donald Trump at the Army Navy game, I want to start with a real patriot calling out Donald Trump's faux patriotism. "When Donald Trump was driving the Taj Mahal casino into bankruptcy, I was getting shot at over Iraq and Kuwait. In 2001, after Donald Trump said that the collapse of the Twin Towers meant he now owned the tallest skyscraper in Manhattan, I was carrying flags honoring 9/11 victims into space on a rocket ship. In 2003, when Donald Trump was writing birthday greetings to the monster Jeffrey Epstein, I was the first on the scene to recover the bodies of my fellow astronauts who died when Space Shuttle Columbia exploded during re-entry. In 2011, when Trump was hosting a reality show and peddling conspiracy theories against President Barack Obama, I was sitting next to my wife's hospital bed as she recovered from a gunshot wound to the head. My point is this. I've been through a lot worse in service to my country. The president and Pete Hegseth are not going to silence me. They aren't going to keep me from speaking out and they're not going to keep me from doing my job."
"I think it is incumbent upon us to talk about how unpatriotic the people in this administration are. That Donald Trump is constantly talking about how much he hates blue states and hates blue cities and how anyone who does not love or pledges loyalty to him is fundamentally against this country. It's what he has talked about with journalists constantly, who he has threatened to beat up, to kill, to jail if they talk about his health, which by the way, uh, Donald, I think you're going to have to jail the national TV audience of the Army Navy game, considering what we all just witnessed today. But think about that. A guy who pretends to be patriotic because he humps a flag like it's a hula hoop that Donald Trump probably ran around with while Melania was pregnant because we know he loved to do that. And he thinks that's patriotism instead of actually caring about our country, fighting to make the wealthiest country in the world one where people can maybe, I don't know, eat and not worry about their medical bills bankrupting them, where where children have supported school systems. No. Donald Trump thinks patriotism is acting like the big strong tough guy. But even that does not protect us. It actually puts us in danger."
Which is why Donald Trump had to respond to the death of two service members today in a strike which actually runs counter to a congratulatory praise of himself that Donald Trump made a short time ago.
"You know how it happened. There was an ambush. Terrible. We also have three wounded. They seem to be doing pretty well. But we mourn the loss. These are great, three great people and it's just a terrible thing. Syria, by the way, was fighting along with us. The president, the new president of Syria is, as they told me, and I'm not surprised, he's devastated by what happened. This was an ISIS attack on us and Syria. And again, we mourn the loss. And we pray for them and their parents."
Remember when Donald Trump told us he beat ISIS and then it was it was all over because he's so big and so strong and so tough and because, you know, Pete Hegseth runs around on stage with his pyrotechnics and he's got his little, you know, little flag in his pocket. He's got a pocket square flag and he and he does fake pull-ups. So, so now we're all safe. Remember when when we got that announcement? Just because Donald Trump pretends he's the big, strong, tough guy that that will keep us all safe. Well, no. The idiot in charge of our nukes and the drunk guy at the Pentagon are not keeping us safe. And it is an an idiotic idea to think that they are or ever cared about our safety instead of just congratulating themselves and hoping that everyone else falls in line and heaping praise on the dear leader and pretending that Pete Hegseth isn't piss drunk all the time. But that is what we have gotten. An administration that is fundamentally focused on stunts. Well, those stunts backfire sometimes and that is exactly what happened at the Army Navy game today when Donald Trump was tasked with something pretty easy. Flipping a coin and in his deteriorated state with his, you know, jelly limbs, he couldn't even do that.
Trump's no-flip coin toss at Army Navy game stuns internet. Looked like a space alien wholly unfamiliar with the concept. Donald Trump found a new way to get the internet to flip out on Saturday by doing the ceremonial coin flip before the Army Navy football game. But there was just one problem with it. The coin did not appear to rotate at all. It was, as Outkick's Clay Travis pointed out on Twitter, an unprecedented coin toss that doesn't appear to flip at all.
"Mr. President, what did you do?" "What did I just watch?" Like he was he like couldn't he was just doing this like he's like his elbow is locked. It doesn't. I guess he's like wearing gloves, first of all. I don't I don't know why, but like he can't he can't he couldn't move his arm or his hand. Oh, is that the is that the bad hand? Is that the hand that you've shaken too many hands, so now you can't use it and now it's bruised? I actually saw, and y'all might have seen this because there was quite a bit of coverage on it, a congresswoman is now suggesting that Donald Trump might be on a a certain dementia medicine that is put in through the hand, that it might be leaving a bruise when they put an IV in every other day, once a week, twice a week, whatever the number might be. But that that was that's what's leaving the bruise. It could also contribute to his cankles swelling, that Donald Trump could have more medical ailments that we we haven't learned about. That that drug requires some regular monitoring that could take the form of a scan, some, you know, some imaging. Let's call it an MRI that Donald Trump never gives us a full explanation of. Maybe it's the reason why he's taking that cognitive test. But this this little little that that is not a man who is who is all put together. And someone might say, "Ah, Jack, you're kind of blowing this out of proportion. Do we really need? There's a lot going on." Yes, I think that it is a disservice not to talk about every single time that Donald Trump is showing us that he is in cognitive decline.
It's funny that the guys at Mightiest Touch, our good friends Brett, Ben, and Jordy. Jordy was actually clipped on Fox today because they were freaking out about him talking about Donald Trump's very clear cognitive decline. Fox had a whole had a whole freak out. The Jordy was saying, "This guy is obviously dementia adult. He is obviously losing it more than ever. He is weak in the mind. He is weak in his body. He is weak politically, period." And Fox was furious. They're like, "The leftist Marxist Communist Mightiest Touch podcast." And they were losing their minds. We should be talking about this all the time. Not only because the White House press corps doesn't really step up enough in asking these questions, but also because we know it drives Donald Trump crazy. It's been widely reported that this is something that really upsets him. Us discussing his health and also we need to it is important that there can only be so many cover-ups that one administration is involved in. We got Epstein, we got Pete Hegseth's murders, and now Donald Trump's health. It's always been Donald Trump's health. But seriously, I'm going to continue to talk about this and we also need to talk about those other cover-ups, including Pete Hegseth, which Lawrence O'Donnell certainly did right here.
"Well, it has been three weeks since the Washington Post broke the story about the two-strike attack on a small boat in the Caribbean and 1500 miles from the United States. It was the first Donald Trump ordered attack on small boats powered by outboard motors, open boats, that Donald Trump's Secretary of Defense suspected to be carrying drugs bound for the United States. The first missile to hit the boat destroyed the boat and killed nine of the 11 people on the boat. Two men clinging to the wreckage were then killed by a second missile. It is the second missile that is the focus of most attention. But NYU law professor and former Pentagon lawyer Ryan Goodman says that none of the killing ordered by Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth in the attacks on those small boats in the Caribbean is legal. Ryan Goodman says it is quote, 'just murder.' New reporting by the Washington Post today indicates the boat was not headed for the United States. The Post reports people familiar with Admiral Bradley's account to lawmakers said that the cargo in this case was heading next to Surinam, a small country east of Venezuela, not the United States. As the Post and others have reported, most of the narcotics that move through the Caribbean are headed toward Europe and Western Africa rather than the US. That further underscores that this boat was not a threat to the United States and not a lawful target," Todd Huntley said. Todd Huntley is a former military lawyer who will be our first guest tonight. The Washington Post and the New York Times have new reporting today on how the decision was made to kill the two men who survived the first attack. The Post reports, "In the minutes after US forces attacked a suspected drug smuggling boat near Trinidad, Admiral Frank M. Bradley, the commander overseeing the operation, faced a choice. A laser-guided bomb had killed nine of the 11 people on board, sunk the boat's motor and capsized the vessel's front end, according to people who have viewed or been briefed on the classified video of the operation. As smoke from the blast cleared, a live surveillance feed provided by a US aircraft high overhead showed two men had survived and were attempting to flip the wreckage. The video feed showed that the two men were struggling to stay atop the flotsam, which people who've seen the footage described as roughly the size of a dining room table. Bradley turned to the military lawyer advising him and requested input. According to members of Congress who spoke with him privately last week, and people later briefed on those conversations, under the law of armed conflict, were the men now shipwrecked and therefore out of the fight, rendering them unlawful targets? The admiral decided that definition did not apply, these people said. Instead, what Bradley explained to lawmakers left some with the impression that there was a prevailing lack of certainty about the existence of any drugs beneath the wreckage and whether the survivors had a means to call for help or intended to surrender. When he concluded that further action was warranted, he ordered a second strike, killing both men." The Washington Post reported there were 30-plus minutes between the first strike and the second. The Post reports that Admiral Bradley told lawmakers, quote, "US intelligence showed that everyone on the boat was a narco-terrorist, consistent with the administration's definition which allowed for deadly force." That is the legal question here. What in American law allows for deadly force in this situation? And most legal experts say the answer to that is nothing in American law allows for deadly force in this situation."
