God Is FURIOUS & Going After The Narcissist Who Betrayed YOU! DIRTY LAUNDRY EXPOSED!! - C.S. Lewis

Heartfelt Devotions38:12

Transcription

The Lion of Judah has risen from his throne, and he's roaring with holy fury. Let those words sink deep into your spirit, my beloved brothers and sisters.

This is CS Lewis 2025, and I'm so grateful you're here today because this morning I'm not here with a gentle word. I'm not here to soothe you with platitudes or to pretend that evil always goes unnoticed. This morning I come with a message forged in the fires of justice and soaked in the tears of the betrayed. I am here to tell you that the God you serve, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the one who hung the stars in the sky, is furious, and he is going after the narcissist who betrayed you.

My beloved brothers and sisters, there's something powerful that I need you to grasp this morning. The God we worship is endlessly merciful and incomparably loving. But he is also a God of righteous anger who refuses to sit silently while his children are harmed. For many of us who grew up hearing that God is gentle and kind, it can feel jarring to imagine him furious. Yet, scripture tells us time and again that while God is patient and compassionate, he is also a consuming fire, a righteous judge who cannot and will not let wickedness go unanswered. Hebrews 12:29 reminds us plainly, "for our God is a consuming fire."

This truth matters profoundly, especially for those of you listening who have endured the storm of betrayal at the hands of a narcissist. Because you may have spent sleepless nights asking the Lord, "Where are you? Do you see what they did? Do you care that I've been used, manipulated, discarded like I was nothing?" And maybe in the quiet of your heart, you feared that God's silence meant he was indifferent. But hear me clearly today. God's silence was never indifference. It was patience, giving room for repentance. But patience is not permission, and mercy is not blind.

The narcissist who betrayed you thought they could play both sides. They wanted the admiration of the world and the hidden thrills of sin. They wanted to look holy in public while living a secret life behind closed doors. And all the while they believed they were clever enough, charming enough to escape the consequences of their actions. They fooled many. They wore their masks well. They spoke the language of faith. They knew how to cry the right tears and give the right apologies. But God, the one who searches every heart and weighs every motive, has seen it all. Nothing has slipped past his eyes. Not the deceitful whispers, not the cruel laughter behind your back, not the schemes they plotted to control you, isolate you, and steal your peace.

God is not a passive bystander in the story of your suffering. He has been watching every wound inflicted upon you, every sleepless night, every tear you shed in secret places where you thought no one could hear. Psalm 56:8 says, "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle." Beloved, God has been gathering your tears, not because he's sentimental, but because he intends to transform your pain into testimony, your sorrow into triumph, and your humiliation into honor. He is a God who takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it for good. But make no mistake, he is also a God who will not allow the wicked to prosper indefinitely. Nahum 3 declares, "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, but the Lord will by no means clear the guilty."

There comes a moment when God says, "Enough." A divine line is drawn in the sand. And from that moment forward, his fury moves like a righteous river, sweeping away every lie, every cover-up, every facade built by the narcissist who betrayed you. And let me say this plainly: God's fury is not the rage of a human who loses control. His fury is holy, precise, and just. It is the fury of a father who loves his children so deeply that he refuses to let evil go unpunished. It is the fury of a righteous judge who will not allow falsehood to stand. It is the fury of a warrior who comes to rescue those who cannot rescue themselves.

For the narcissist who betrayed you, this season marks the end of pretending because God has decided to act. He is lifting the curtain. He is shining his light into every hidden place, and he is declaring, "My child will no longer bear the weight of this injustice. I will bring the truth to the surface." You may not see all the details yet, but things are shifting in the spiritual realm. Conversations are happening that you don't even know about. Documents are coming to light. People who were silent before are beginning to speak. And doors that seemed forever closed are swinging open because God is furious and he is moving.

And as the fury of God begins to sweep through the hidden corridors of deception, it's time we take a closer look at the one who stands at the center of this storm: The narcissist who betrayed you. Because understanding who they truly are and how they operate is the key to seeing why God's righteous anger burns so fiercely against them. If this word is speaking to you today, or if you've ever felt the sting of betrayal by someone who wore a holy mask, drop a comment below and say, "God sees it all." Let's stand together because your story matters. And the next part of this message is for you.

Now, it's time to look closely at the one standing at the center of all this turmoil, the narcissist who betrayed you. It's important to understand why God's righteous anger burns so fiercely and why the Holy Spirit is determined to expose what has been hidden for far too long. The narcissist who betrayed you isn't merely someone who made a few mistakes. Mistakes are human. We all stumble. But this is different. The narcissist crafts an entire life built on deception. They're skilled at performing righteousness for the crowd while concealing darkness behind closed doors. They know exactly how to read people, which words win sympathy, which gestures look believable, which gestures make them appear noble. And they wield all of that knowledge like a weapon, transforming themselves into whoever you want them to be—a soulmate, a loyal friend, a spiritual guide—so long as it serves their hidden agenda.

What makes them even more dangerous is that they begin to believe their own lies. They speak half-truths so convincingly that even they become convinced they're innocent. And that's how so many get trapped. Because at first, the narcissist seems like a gift from heaven. They sweep into your life with charm and attentiveness, saying all the right things, sharing scriptures, praying with you, presenting themselves as someone deeply connected to God. You feel seen, cherished, chosen. But when the mask slips, the devastation runs deep. It's not just the end of a relationship. It feels like the ground beneath your feet has cracked open. Because narcissists don't merely break your heart. They distort your reality. They twist the truth until you question your own mind. They isolate you from the people who love you, planting seeds of doubt about your character, your sanity, even your faith. And perhaps the cruelest part is how they drape it all in the appearance of holiness.

God has strong words for those who live double lives. Jesus spoke harshly to religious leaders who appeared pure on the outside but were corrupt within. Matthew 23:27 says, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you are like whitewashed tombs which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness." The narcissist who betrayed you may look polished and spiritual on the surface, but within, pride, lust, greed, and a craving for control rage unchecked.

I know it's painful to admit because you still carry memories of moments that felt so genuine. Laughter shared, whispered dreams for the future, touches that seem tender. You find yourself asking whether any of it was real. Let me assure you, your love was real. Your loyalty, your sacrifices, your prayers were genuine and precious in the eyes of God. You gave your heart sincerely, and there's no shame in that. The betrayal was never about you lacking anything. It was about the emptiness inside the narcissist—a void that nothing and no one can fill. No matter how much you gave—your time, your patience, your forgiveness—it was never enough. So they moved on, searching for new supply, repeating the same cycle, convinced they'd once again escape any consequences. But this time, God has said no more.

The Lord has been watching everything the narcissist tried to hide. He has seen every hushed conversation, every financial secret, every false rumor used to damage your reputation. He's witnessed them raising their hands in worship on Sunday while plotting betrayal in their hearts by Monday. And now God has decreed that the season of pretending is over. The secrets they thought would remain buried are about to surface. Their dirty laundry will be exposed for all to see.

Yet, even as justice unfolds, remember that God's anger burns because he loves you. His fury rises because someone dared to damage what he treasures—you, his precious child. Your tears have been heard in heaven. Your prayers have not been ignored. And the one called faithful and true is moving on your behalf. You've carried the burden of trying to prove the truth, of defending yourself against lies and whispers. You've struggled to hold your head high while people questioned your character. But hear this clearly: God is preparing to vindicate you. Psalm 135:14 says, "For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants." The same God who opened prison doors for Peter, who shut the mouths of lions for Daniel, who stood with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the flames—that God is fighting for you. The narcissist may have fooled many people, but they have not fooled him. Their performance holds no weight in his court. God knows, God sees, and God is about to act. So don't lose hope. Stay with me as we move forward because in the next moments we're going to see how God intends to bring every hidden thing into the light and how this exposure is not just for punishment but for your healing and freedom. If this word is resonating in your spirit, if you feel God's stirring something deep within you right now, keep listening. Share this message and stand firm in faith because the freedom and vindication you've been praying for are closer than you think.

Having come to understand the true nature of the narcissist and the darkness they've hidden behind their carefully crafted image, it's time to talk about what God is about to reveal. Because there comes a moment when truth refuses to stay buried, no matter how deeply someone tries to conceal it. That moment has arrived. The Lord has declared that the secrets long kept in darkness are being brought into the light, and nothing, no matter how cleverly hidden, will remain undiscovered under his gaze.

For years, the narcissist believed they were untouchable. They built elaborate facades and surrounded themselves with layers of protection: charisma, influence, religious language, and social power. They convinced people that they were righteous and noble, that they were victims instead of perpetrators. They manipulated conversations, twisted facts, and created confusion until even those closest to them began to doubt their own memories. They moved through rooms with confidence, wearing masks so perfectly that few suspected the turmoil they were hiding within. But God, who knows the depths of every human heart, has been watching in silence. And while he is indeed merciful and patient, there always comes a day when he says, "Enough." Luke 8:17 reminds us, "For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." This is not simply a comforting verse. It is a divine principle that ensures that in God's perfect timing, the truth always rises to the surface.

In this season, the Lord is peeling away the layers of deception. Things whispered in secret are being spoken aloud. Hidden conversations are coming to light. Emails, messages, and financial records that were once hidden away are being discovered. People who were once silent, perhaps out of fear or loyalty, are finding the courage to speak the truth. And God himself is orchestrating all of it, ensuring that no lie can stand in the face of his justice.

For some, this unveiling feels like a storm. The secrets pouring out are more numerous and more painful than anyone could have imagined. False stories are crumbling under the weight of evidence. Reputations carefully built over years are collapsing in mere moments as the real character of the narcissist is exposed. The image of generosity, spirituality, and righteousness that they clung to so fiercely is dissolving, leaving only the stark reality of who they truly are. And yet, even as this truth comes rushing forth, it brings a mixture of emotions. For many, there's relief, finally, clarity, and justice. But there's also sorrow because the narcissist was once someone who held your trust, perhaps even your love. There's a grief in realizing how much of what you shared was built on lies. It's normal to feel conflicted, to mourn what you thought you had, even as you rejoice that the truth is finally coming into the light.

It's important to understand that God is not revealing these secrets to shame you or destroy you. He's doing it to bring healing, justice, and freedom. He's removing the power the narcissist once held over your life. He's dismantling the lies that kept you bound and afraid. He's shining his light into the darkest places so that you can finally breathe again, free from the weight of secrets and the constant fear of being misunderstood or falsely accused.

Some of you have carried burdens for years, weighed down by rumors and accusations planted by the narcissist. You've been blamed for things you never did, and people you loved turned their backs on you because they believe the narcissist's carefully crafted stories. You've spent sleepless nights replaying conversations, wondering how it all went so wrong, feeling like your life was trapped in a fog of confusion and shame. But God is speaking to you today. He says, "I am clearing your name. I am restoring your dignity. The truth will speak louder than the lies." Isaiah 54:17 assures us, "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn." God is fighting for you in places you cannot see. He is moving pieces into place to reveal what has been hidden. Not just for your vindication, but for the protection of others who might have become victims, too.

The exposure happening now may feel overwhelming, even frightening. There's a vulnerability in having the truth laid bare for all to see. But remember this: God's light is not cruel. It is healing. It is the same light that reveals infection so it can be cleansed, that uncovers wounds so they can be properly treated, that chases darkness away so that life can flourish again. Psalm 37:6 declares, "He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noon day." God is revealing these hidden things because he refuses to allow lies to reign over your life any longer. He will not let his children remain bound in the shadows of another person's sin. He is working with precise timing, ensuring that what comes to light does so in the right way at the right moment for the purpose of setting you free. So while the revelations may shake the ground beneath your feet, know that they are the beginning of your freedom. Each truth brought forth is another chain falling away. Every hidden thing revealed is another step toward your healing and restoration. And while the narcissist who betrayed you faces the consequences of their deception, God is already preparing a new season for you—a season of clarity, peace, and the restoration of all that was stolen.

This is not merely a moment of exposure. It is a divine turning point, and it is proof that God has never left your side, that he has seen it all, and that he is determined that you will not only survive this but rise from it stronger, wiser, and free.

As God's light breaks through every layer of deception, the narcissist who once seemed so invincible begins to discover that no fortress, no mask, no clever words can shield them from the consequences of their actions. For a long time, they believed they could outsmart everyone. They believed that charm and manipulation would keep the truth buried forever. That as long as they maintained the perfect image, they could avoid any reckoning. But now they are standing in a season where truth has become unavoidable and justice long delayed is finally finding its way to their doorstep.

One of the first places where consequences begin to appear is in the realm of reputation. The narcissist who once commanded admiration and loyalty from so many is now finding that the admiration is slipping away. The carefully crafted stories that protected them are unraveling thread by thread. People who once defended them with unwavering certainty are starting to question what they thought they knew. Whispered rumors have become open conversations. The once-adored figure is discovering that trust once broken is hard to rebuild and that a reputation built on deception cannot withstand the weight of truth. Proverbs 10:9 declares, "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out." The narcissist is being found out.

Alongside the collapse of reputation comes financial turmoil. The narcissist may have relied on money to maintain power, to buy silence, to craft illusions of success. But now doors are closing. Business partners are withdrawing. Legal expenses are mounting. Investments are crumbling. The very wealth they believed would protect them is slipping through their fingers, as if God himself has declared that funds obtained or sustained through deceit will not stand. Proverbs 13:11 reminds us, "Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it." Money, once a tool of control, is no longer an escape route.

Yet the most significant consequences are not financial or social. They are deeply spiritual and emotional. The narcissist who once recited scripture and lifted hands in public worship now finds no comfort in prayer. The words that once rolled so easily off their tongue feel empty and lifeless. The presence of God which they used as a stage prop to deceive others has become an unbearable spotlight exposing every hidden motive. Isaiah 59:2 speaks to this: "But your iniquities have separated you from your God. Your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear." There is no loneliness more devastating than feeling cut off from the God whose name they so often used to manipulate others.

Internally, the narcissist is battling storms they never anticipated. Sleepless nights are filled with anxiety and dread as they replay conversations, try to remember lies they've told, and wonder who knows what secrets. Their mind is a spinning wheel of fear and regret. Panic attacks surface without warning. Physical symptoms emerge: chest pains, headaches, exhaustion because the human body cannot carry the weight of hidden sin indefinitely. Psalm 32:3-4 describes this vividly: "When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer."

Perhaps the cruelest consequence for the narcissist is the loss of control. Control was always their weapon. They shaped narratives, manipulated perceptions, and orchestrated circumstances to maintain their power. But now control is slipping away. People are speaking truth. Evidence is coming forth. Conversations they thought were private are becoming public knowledge. The narcissist, who once believed they were the master of every game, is discovering they have no say over how this story unfolds anymore. God has taken up the cause, and the narcissist finds themselves powerless against a divine hand moving on behalf of justice.

And yet, even as we speak of consequences, let me remind you that God's justice is not fueled by blind rage or cruel vengeance. It is precise, measured, and filled with purpose. The Lord's judgment is holy because it flows from his love for righteousness and his compassion for those who have suffered. Romans 12:19 tells us, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay,' says the Lord." God alone knows what justice each soul truly needs. And whether his justice comes as discipline meant to bring repentance or as judgment that closes a chapter for good, it is always righteous.

For you who have suffered under the narcissist's betrayal, this season of consequences is a sign that God has heard your prayers. He has seen your tears. He has counted every sleepless night and every moment you felt like the world was collapsing around you. He is showing you that he is not a silent observer but a righteous judge who will not allow evil to flourish unchecked. Psalm 37:28 assures us, "For the Lord loves justice. He will not forsake his saints."

As the narcissist watches their world unravel, God is simultaneously working restoration in yours. While they taste the bitter fruit of their actions, God is planting seeds of hope and new beginnings in your life. While they stand in judgment, you are stepping into freedom. While they experience the consequences of darkness, you are moving into the light of truth and peace. So do not fear the shaking you see around you. Do not allow pity for the narcissist's downfall to drag you back into old patterns of guilt or rescue. God is dealing with them as only he can. And he is also dealing gently and powerfully with you. The consequences falling on the narcissists are not just punishment. They are the clearing.

Of the ground for the new thing God is building in your life. In this season, remember that you serve a God who turns ashes into beauty, mourning into dancing, and betrayal into testimony.

While the narcissist faces the harvest of their own choices, God is preparing a table for you in the presence of your enemies. And though the path has been long and the wounds deep, your story is not ending in defeat; it's unfolding toward victory and redemption.

As the consequences for the narcissist begin to unfold, there's another work God is doing quietly and powerfully in the unseen places of your life. He is severing the invisible ties that have kept you bound to this person who betrayed you so deeply. Because while justice is being served outwardly, the Lord is also performing a spiritual surgery to set your soul free from connections that were never meant to hold you captive.

Many people don't realize that relationships carry more than emotional memories. They carry spiritual weight. When we give our heart to someone, especially someone who seemed so intertwined with our faith, our dreams, and our identity, a bond forms that goes deeper than words can explain. It's why even after betrayal, your mind replays memories of laughter and closeness. It's why you sometimes still feel drawn back toward the narcissist even when you know with every fiber of your being that they are toxic. This is what we call a soul tie. It's an unseen tether that links you to someone spiritually and emotionally. And while God designed soul ties to be beautiful, holy connections like those between spouses, family members, or close friends, the enemy loves to corrupt them. The narcissist who betrayed you used the power of emotional and spiritual intimacy to bind you not just to their presence but to their chaos. They twisted your loyalty, manipulated your compassion, and convinced you that without them you would be lost, unworthy, or unable to move forward.

But hear me clearly: God has not called you to remain bound to someone who is actively harming your soul. He loves you far too much to leave you tethered to a relationship that drains the life out of you. In his fierce love and holy jealousy, he is stepping in to sever the soul tie. Not as punishment to you, but as protection.

Some of you have already started feeling this shift. Where there was once obsession, there's now clarity. Where there was confusion, there's now peace. You're finding that the emotional hooks are loosening. You're waking up one day realizing you didn't think about the narcissist at all the night before. Conversations that once left you trembling now barely stir a reaction in your heart. This is not mere emotional healing; it's spiritual deliverance. God is cutting the cords that kept your spirit entangled with the narcissist's chaos.

Isaiah 58:6 speaks of God's heart for deliverance: "Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?" And it's important you know that this separation, as painful as it may feel, is not rejection; it's divine protection. Sometimes the most loving act God can perform is to remove someone from your life who refuses to repent, who continues to wound you, and who stands in the way of your destiny. What may feel like abandonment is, in truth, the mercy of God pulling you out of a cycle that would only keep destroying you.

You may wonder, "Why didn't God do this sooner? Why did he allow me to stay so long?" And those are honest questions. The Lord understands the ache behind them. Often he waits because he wants to give people a chance to repent. He waits because he honors free will. And sometimes he waits because he knows the precise moment when your heart is strong enough to let go and never look back. His timing is perfect, even when it doesn't feel swift enough for our wounded hearts.

When God severs a soul tie, it's not merely to remove pain; it's to make room for new life, for new peace, for new relationships rooted in honesty, respect, and genuine love. He doesn't just take away; he restores. Joel 2:25 promises, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." The Lord intends to give you back more than you lost in ways you can't even imagine yet.

Beloved, don't be afraid of this divine separation. It's a sign that God is taking your healing seriously. He's ensuring that the trauma you endured doesn't define your future. He's creating distance between you and the source of so much confusion and pain so that your spirit can finally breathe again.

The narcissist may try to reach out to pull you back in with apologies, with tears, with stories of loneliness or regret. They may promise change, beg for another chance, remind you of the good times you once shared. But remember this: God is not a God of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says, "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace." If returning to that relationship would bring you only chaos and sorrow, it is not from him. So when you feel the Holy Spirit urging you to keep moving forward, trust him. He sees what you cannot. He knows the traps still hidden beneath sweet words. He knows the true condition of the narcissist's heart. And he will not allow his beloved child to be ensnared again.

God's severing of this soul tie is your invitation to freedom. It's his way of telling you that your story isn't over. That there's a life waiting for you beyond betrayal, filled with joy, peace, and wholeness you haven't even dared to hope for yet. So, embrace this season of divine separation. Let God finish what he started because the same God who exposes darkness is the one who lifts you into the light, and he will not let you go.

To every person listening today who has endured the piercing sting of betrayal, I want you to know something deep in your soul: You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. And you are not alone. For too long, you've carried questions that weighed like stones in your chest. You've lain awake at night replaying memories, wondering if you could have done something different, wondering why love turned to cruelty, why trust became a weapon, and how someone you gave your whole heart to could cut you so deeply. Your tears have soaked your pillow in the silence of dark hours, and the laughter you used to share has been replaced with echoes of accusations and gaslighting that still haunt your mind. Perhaps you've questioned your worth. Perhaps you've wondered if somehow you were to blame for the narcissist's betrayal. Perhaps the words they threw at you—that you were unlovable, too sensitive, too much, or never enough—still ring in your ears, threatening to shape how you see yourself.

Hear me clearly today: The betrayal you suffered was never about your worth. It was never because you were lacking. It was not because you were unworthy of love, respect, or loyalty. The narcissist's betrayal flows from the emptiness inside them, not from any failure in you. Your love was genuine. Your trust was sincere. The problem was not that you loved too deeply; the problem was that they could not love purely in return.

Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God has seen every moment of your suffering. He has counted every tear. He has been beside you in every dark room, every courtroom, every conversation where lies were spoken about you. He knows the weight of the wounds you carry. And he is saying today that he did not abandon you. Even when it felt like heaven was silent, God was storing up justice and preparing a day of deliverance.

Some of you have felt deep shame, as if the narcissist's betrayal marked you permanently. But the Lord wants you to know that betrayal does not define you. It is a chapter in your story, but it is not the final chapter. You are not the sum of your pain. You are not the accusations that were hurled at you. You are not the false image painted of you by someone who refused to walk in truth. You are a child of the most high God, crafted in his image, loved beyond measure, redeemed by Christ's blood, and destined for a future full of hope.

You may still feel fragile right now, as if your soul has been shattered into pieces too small to gather. You may feel exhausted, as if you have no strength left to rebuild. But I want you to know God specializes in resurrection. What looks dead to human eyes, he can breathe back to life. Ezekiel 37 speaks of dry bones coming together, forming flesh, and standing as an exceedingly great army. Those bones were scattered, lifeless, forgotten. But the breath of God turned what was hopeless into something mighty and new. That same breath is moving over your life. Even now, God is not only restoring you; he's transforming you. He's giving you new wisdom, new discernment, new strength. Where once you tolerated abuse because you believed you had no other option, you're now learning that your value is not tied to someone else's approval. Where once fear held you captive, you're learning to stand in courage and truth. Where once your identity was wrapped up in someone else, God is teaching you who you are in him: strong, chosen, and deeply loved.

Let me remind you that what the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good. Genesis 50:20 says, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Your story, even the parts filled with pain, will one day become a testimony that brings freedom and hope to others who are walking the same road you've traveled. God wastes nothing, not even your tears. There will come a day when you look back on this season, not only with grief, but with gratitude, because you will see how God used it to carve deeper wells of compassion, wisdom, and spiritual authority within you. You will see how he turned ashes into beauty, sorrow into dancing, and silence into songs of praise. And while the narcissist faces the consequences of their choices, you are stepping into a future filled with
