Today, I just want to have some fun. So this is a warning to all of you who take stuff way too seriously: this is just for fun, okay? Now, despite my saying that, I am certain that this video will end up destroying my already spotty reputation. I will probably be labeled as some kind of a quasi-misogynist, and I'll be publicly flogged on The View, if I'm lucky. But in today's video, we're going to go to where no man has gone before, and no man dare go, because this is—we're talking about some hardcore stuff here, man. We're going to be taking a look at the characteristics of narcissism and feminism, and we're going to mix them up in a bag, and we're going to pull them out one at a time, and you, the viewer, are going to have to decide whether this personality characteristic can be more strongly associated with a narcissist—and I'm talking, not talking about like a pathology, I'm just talking about narcissistic behavior—or whether this is the characteristic of a feminist. And oh, this is going to be—this is going to be hard. I'm telling you right now, I—I went through this list, and uh, yeah, it was tough. It was very tough. But once again, I am not a psychiatrist, and uh, I have really no way of—and it's not my intention to diagnose anything. It's not my intention to uh, upset anybody. I mean, if you truly are a narcissist, I'm very sorry this upset you. I'm sure it will. Um, if you truly are a feminist, I'm sorry too. But anyway, you know what's kind of funny? People get upset when they hear something true that hurts them. God, don't you hate that? Don't you hate that when someone calls you out and you know it's true, and you're like, "Anyway," let's jump into it.

So, if depression and anxiety were the mental disorders that so many people were suffering from in the early 2000s, now it appears that narcissism has become the mental disorder of the day, the—the disease dour and borderline personality disorder. I guess as we get further and further into our evolution as human beings, we're becoming much better at diagnosing each other in terms of what's wrong with each other. Anyway, narcissism wasn't a thing back when I was a kid. Narcissism didn't exist. I'm sure it existed, but you just didn't hear about it. I was watching some doctor talk on YouTube recently, and he was saying that he worked in institutions where they treated people with, you know, severe psychiatric issues, and um, he said narcissism did not uh, play a significant role in the number of people that were being um, you know, uh, institutionalized. Um, but now, you know, some 30 years, 40 years later, that number has skyrocketed, and I don't know if that's um, something in the water, you know, has something—maybe social media causes it, or or what, but definitely narcissism has become the disease, the mental disease dour.

Now, I am not a doctor, and I'm not going to pretend to be one here, um, but I did think it would be kind of fun if we could compare narcissistic behavior—not necessarily disease, I'm just talking about behaviors—with the behaviors of other groups, and I'm thinking that maybe we could compare narcissist versus, say, extreme radical feminist, and you have to identify: is this a narcissist or a feminist? We could call it pathology or biology, however you want to do it. So I'm going to run off a list of characteristics, and I want you guys to follow along and keep track of which one of these are behaviors that you think is associated with narcissism, and then which one of these behaviors is more strongly associated with feminism. Um, keep score, because I'm going to put the answers in the comments, and I'll pin a comment at the top of this video, and you guys can check it out and see how—how accurate you were in your uh, your ability to um, diagnose these uh, these disorders, these conditions, we'll call them. All right, let's give it a try. Now, just as a warning, some of these could be duels; there could some be some uh, trick questions in here, so I just want to make you aware of that. So it could be both one and two, or both A and B. I don't know how you want to score this, but it could be both. Okay, so let's get started. So remember, we're going to identify these people as either narcissists or feminists. Number one: um, a hallmark of this group is they see themselves as being better than everyone else. So mark your—mark your paper, feminist or narcissist.

Number two: they believe that their achievements are better and more grandiose than anyone else, without any real reason for believing that to be the case. They just are very self-promoting. Number three: they have a strong need and desire to be admired by others; they seek lots of admiration. Okay. Number four: they seek external validation, which is very similar to admiration, um, but they definitely looking for people outside of them to tell them they're doing well, and they need that in order to feed their—their ego. It gives them uh, confidence and energy in the world when other people are telling them how great they are. They have a strong sense of entitlement; they think that just because they're here that they deserve the best of everything. They think that um, just because they're who they are that they have an entitled right to some special treatment: narcissist or feminist? So that's tougher than you think, isn't it? It's not quite so easy. All right, the next one: they believe that other people should cater to their needs on a regular basis. They feel like because they are special and they are entitled that other people should bend over backwards to accommodate them in any way possible. They think that maybe society should change to accommodate whatever it is they're trying to achieve. All right, so if you're observing someone who has an extreme lack of empathy for a large group of people, without any real recognition for th—that those people's humanity in any way at all, would that be someone who is a feminist or a narcissist?

All right, the next one: they have a very strong—strong sense of envy, and envy is not just jealousy. Envy is like, "I want what you have, and I will destroy you to get it," kind of feeling, you know? They—they don't just want it, they have to have it, and they don't just have to have it, they need to make sure you don't have it: feminist or narcissist? Okay, so despite all their feelings of grandiosity um, and being better than everybody else, um, they have a very, very, very low self-sense of self-esteem. They really are just putting on an act the whole time. They really don't feel so confident in the world, and because of that they um, they need to overcompensate by acting like they are very confident. Okay, they want to overturn the status quo. H, that's a tough one. That's a tough one. They have fantasies of unlimited power. That's another good one. I don't know how you're going to do this. This is—is going to be tougher than you think. They may be obsessed with fantasies about ideal love. That's a really tough one. I don't know what you're going to do with that. That's a very difficult one. They have fantasies about ideal beauty, either being beautiful themselves or possessing ideal beauty. H, that's another tough one. This is a lot tougher than it seems, by the way. For those of you who clicked on this and searched for, "How do I learn about narcissism or feminism," this is not a um, an actual resource. I am not a professional at this in any way, shape, or form. This is a satirical look at our culture and the behaviors of some of the people in it. This is not to be taken seriously in any way, shape, or form. This whole thing is a comedy routine—not that I had felt like I had to say it, but I thought I should say it, 'cause I've seen some people in the comments get very, very, very irritated with me for being so um, satirical about these very serious and weighty issues, but I think you got to laugh at it. Okay. All right, let's keep on going here. Um, they exhibit manipulative behavior. Wo, I don't know how you're going to figure this one out: feminist or narcissist. H. Here's a good one: they struggle with relationships. Yes, they have a lot of difficulty with relationships. Yep. Not sure how you're going to get that one either. They dominate conversations by talking about themselves all the time. Okay, this isn't even fair. I'm sorry, you guys. I'm using notes, you know, so I—I couldn't—I couldn't tell you if I wasn't reading this stuff, so bear with me here. They deflect blame on others. H. Anyone who's been through a divorce, I don't know how you're going to answer that. Oh, that's a tough one. Yeah, they don't—only taking responsibility for themselves at all. They are—what's the word?—unaccountable. Yes. I think it was an old joke: if you uh, if you want to know what a woman is, just um, take a man, remove all common sense and accountability, and you've got a woman. That is terrible. I did not just say that. I did not say that. All right, let's see what else I got here. Okay, um, they tend to um, infringe on people's boundaries and have very little respect for people's personal space. H, that's a—a good one. They can be very exploitative—exploitative—exploitative. They're—they exploit people. That's another tough one. Yeah, these are—these are some real—real tough ones, and the more I go through this list, I was struggling to distinguish if I could guess if this was the behavior of a person with a, you know, personality disorder, or if this was just the behavior of um, you know, a modern-day woman. Now I know that's going to blow up in my face one day. This whole video is probably going to come back to haunt me. They're probably going to—when—when they're—when they're trying me—when the feminists finally take over the world and they're coming after us one at a time, this is what they're going to play at my trial right before they execute me. So you guys, I'm—I'm—I'm out there for you. I'm putting it all on the line for this video. I'm putting it all out there for you. All right, I'm going to finish with this one. Here's a good one: their behavior can be emotionally harmful to those around them, leading to feelings of invalidation or having been exploited in relationships. All right, so go ahead and mark your calendars or mark your—your score sheets. I will post in the uh, comments a pinned comment with what I think the best answers are, and I'll tell you where I got my sources, etc., and we can all have a laugh about it later. But uh, definitely want to hear from you in the comments. Let me know what your thought of this is. Is this—is this—is this too mean? Am I being mean-spirited here? Have I gone too far? Um, if so, please let me know. If you think it's just funny and it's a great concept to—to look at these different characteristics and see if we can identify what is a—a narcissist versus what is a feminist, um, I think—I think it's kind of funny. But anyway, I'd like to hear your comments. Please remember to like and subscribe, and stay healthy, and if you can remember, stay single.
