In the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit. Amen.
Dear Jesus, divine word made flesh. From the beginning, you already were before even time begun. You are a son and with the Father and the Holy Spirit, three persons, one God. But in the fullness of time, you who created man became man yourself. Through God, the Holy Spirit, and Mary, you became Jesus, divine word made flesh. You came to our world to save us and show us how to live and love here so we may live and love hereafter.
Dear Jesus, divine word incarnate, please teach us to follow you. May our love for you always be made flesh, not ever lost in word or song alone. In prayer, we come face to face with you like you with the Father and Holy Spirit. In love and service, may we likewise come face to face with our sisters and brothers, the least of them most of all. For as we treat each other, so do we treat you. In your name, we pray now always and in all ways. Amen.
The Jubilee prayer.
Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your kingdom. May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the gospel. May those seeds transform from within both a humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth. When with the powers of evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally. May the grace of the jubilee reawaken in us pilgrims of hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God eternally blessed be glory and praise forever. Amen.
Jesus, divine word made flesh, bless all pilgrims who come to your shrine. Amen.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Peace and joy to everyone joining us in worship here and via live stream at the Jubilee Church of the Diosis Sunshine of Jesus the divine word here at Christ the King Mission Seminary Kesson City. We are on the 33rd Sunday in ordinary time. Our mass presider is Reverend Father Jerry Orbos SVD. Our celebration will now begin. Please rise.
Let us sing to every nation is our God. He is the rock of our salvation. Lift up your hearts and sing. We are God's people for he to his name to his praise to every nation of God and our lift up and sing our God We gather together in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. >> Amen. >> The Lord be with you. >> And with your spirit.
We continue to remember our beloved faithful departed during this month of November. In our prayers, especially in the holy mass, we have placed their names in the violet box covered with a polar white cloth to remind us of the white garment with which we were clothed in baptism, signifying our dignity as children of God. The lighted pascal candle is the symbol of the risen Lord who conquered sin and death and who promised new life to those who believe. And to symbolize our love and prayers for them, we now place the incense. And like that in incense, may our thanksgiving rise up to the Lord and also our sorrow for all our sins, asking the Lord's mercy upon us, upon our beloved country, the Philippines, and the whole world.
As we pray, I confess to Almighty God >> and to you my brothers and sisters that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievious fault. Therefore, I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God. >> May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. >> Amen. >> Lord have mercy. >> Lord have mercy. >> Christ have mercy. >> Christ have mercy. >> Lord have mercy. >> Lord have mercy.
Let us pray. Today, World Day of the Poor. Grant us, we pray, Lord our God, the constant gladness of being devoted to you, for it is full and lasting happiness to serve you, constancy, the author of all that is good. to our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. >> Amen.
A reading from the book of the prophet Malachi. Lo, the day is coming blazing like an oven, when all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire, leaving them neither root nor branch, says the Lord of Hosts. But for you who fear my name, there will arise the son of justice with its healing rays. The word of the Lord. >> Thanks be to God.
The Lord comes to rule the earth with justice. The Lord comes to the earth. >> Sing praise to the Lord with a harp, with a harp and melodious song, with trumpets and the sound of the horn. Sing joyfully before the King. the Lord. >> The earth. >> Let the sea and what fills it resound, the world and those who dwell in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, the mountains shout with them for joy. before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to rule the earth. He will rule the world with justice and the peoples with equity. The Lord comes to rule the earth with just days.
A reading from the second letter of St. Paul to the Thessalonians. Brothers and sisters, you know how one must imitate us. For we did not act in a disorderly way among you, nor did we eat food received free from anyone. On the contrary, in toil and dregery, night and day, we worked so as not to burden any of you. Not that we do not have the right. Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you so that you might imitate us. In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should not one eat. We hear that some are conducting themsel themselves among you in a disorderly way by not keeping busy but minding the business of others. Such people we instruct and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and to eat their food. The word of the Lord. >> Thanks be to God.
We rise to honor the gospel. Halleluah. Halleluah. Halleluah. Halleluah. Halleluah. Halleluah. Halleluah. Hallelu. Stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelu. Hallelu. Hallelu. >> The Lord be with you. >> And with your spirit. >> The proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke. >> Glory to you, O Lord.
Some were speaking of how the temple was adorned with precious stones and votive offerings. Jesus said, "These things you are contemplating. The day will come when not one stone will be left one another, but it will all be torn down." They asked him, "When will this occur, teacher? And what will be the sign that it is going to happen?" He said, "Take care not to be misled. Many will come in my name, saying, I am he, and the time is at hand. Do not follow them. Neither must you be perturbed when you hear of wars and insurrections. These things are bound to happen first, but the end does not follow immediately. He said to them further, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, plagues, and famines in various places and disguise fearful omens and great signs. But before any of this, they will manhandle and persecute you, summoning you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you trial before kings and governors. All because of my name. you will be brought to give witness on account of it. I bid you resolve not to worry about your defense beforehand, for I will give you words of wisdom, which none of your adversaries can take exception or contradict. You will be delivered up even by your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. And some of you will be put to death. All will hate you because of me. Yet none, not a hair of your head will be harmed. By patient endurance, you will save your lives.
Brothers and sisters, the gospel of the Lord. >> Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.
Come Holy Spirit, bless this unworthy priest. Bless all of us who come here today to listen to your word. Come, Holy Spirit, come. Sisters and brothers, by your patient endurance, you will save your life. Every Sunday you come, you endure patiently to attend the mass. Thank you for the love in your hearts and the sacrifice you offer with the heart. Next week is Christ the King Sunday. already fiesta s Christ the King. But today, this Sunday, we have a Bible reading in the gospel that is very scary. the end times, the earthquakes, the floods, omens in the sky. There will be persecutions, nation against nation, disasters, natural political disasters, scary. But don't forget, we have Christ our King. Don't panic. Just have faith. Remember, we always say to one another, don't worry, be happy. Would you like to say that now to the person beside you? Don't worry, be happy. And maybe you can tell one another now, don't panic, just have faith.
Sisters and brothers, panic. There's a story about uh there was a typhoon coming. Typhoon is here. Many people are already panic buying. all panic one way or another. For example, provisions, panic buying, how we panic when there's no more food in the table. We panic uh when uh no money to buy. Panic, normal reaction. But you know, today is the world day of the poor. that give you a situation where you're in a jeep and there is a hold up. You will panic if you have your earrings and all and your cell phone. But someone who has nothing, the reminder here is this. The more materialistic you are, the more you panic. Sisters and brothers, attachments. If there's a fire and my house is empty, I I can accept. But for that neighbor who has everything, it's difficult to accept. The Lord is telling us again, don't worry. Don't panic about provisions. Today the Lord tells us trust more and worry less. Let's ask the Lord for this grace. Please bow your head right now. Whatever is bothering you in terms of provisions, just trust the Lord more and worry less. Father, you are the great provider. You never failed us. Help us to trust you more and worry less in our finances. Lord, we trust in you. By the way, as we've speak about the poor, They have nothing anymore and still you get their money. That's so painful. I mean, health check and you get them. The heavens are angry with those people who take advantage of the poor, the helpless. Please keep that in mind.
What makes us panic? Pain and health. Oh, you woke up this morning. So, you begin already to worry. We all panic when we are not healthy human response. I remember when I was operated lung cancer lobectomy and I woke up in the uh ICU when I opened my eyes. Father. Okay. And I remember the nurse telling me, "Father, if you need, there's this blue button here. Father, just pressed it. There's anything at all." So, okay. I was in pain. So, I pressed the button. I press again the button. And finally after the fourth time I pressed I was already panicking the nurse arrived said I said oh I've been calling you really father I've been pressing the button oh father no that is not a call button that is what we call the uh PCA patient controlled analesic that every time you press that father some painkiller is released into your spine you know that's why I felt so groggy I was talkative anyway see how we panic pain today may I again invite You trust more, worry less. Don't panic. Have faith. Bow your head. What is your health concern? What bothers you? Lord, what is it? Would you please ask the Lord the greatest healer? I will not worry. I'll trust in you more. I'll try my best to be healthy. But the rest I leave to you bahaluk Lord.
And what do we panic about our loved ones? What happened? We panic of losing or something happening to our loved ones because we love them. Again, today the Lord tells you, don't panic. Just have faith. The people you love, I love them. I love them more than you can love them. They are mine more than they are yours. Sisters and brothers, these are the things that we should encounter. What are we worried about? Panic. The future. What will happen with all the things happening in the Philippines now? What will happen to our country? The future makes us panic. Sisters and brothers, don't forget we do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future in his hands. I remember Padre Peio who wrote something like, "Do not worry about the injustices happening around you. They are a part of the economy of salvation." There is a big picture. And so the last fear panic is death and dying. Those of you who have been at the foot doorsteps of death, you know what it's like. But you know what, brothers and sisters, there's something I would like to say. We should really panic if we come before God and we know we have been really bad. What I'm saying is look that is your greatest preparation dapad sisters and brothers how will you explain to the lord you can explain to the whole world you can make the world believe this and that safe car but will you be saved we come before God in fear and trembling yes the Lord Lord is merciful. But at the same time, we should really take this seriously that we cannot go on living and hurting people and stealing and all that. We will face God someday and all the things you have built. Yet I was in Boho this week. After 20 years, I saw again the Lobok River Cruise and the famous Lobok Bridge with no destination. this huge massive bridge crossing the river and then Indina why it was going straight to the old church of Lubo the church the the bridge without a destination that leads to nowhere. I was thinking for those people who have built so much property, real estate, all the money, all the connections, your bridge that leads to nowhere. After you left, it ended there. Cut. It led you to nowhere. in this world because you did not mind God and his commandments and you did not respect and love the people while you were still alive. You were building kingdoms and all but it led you to nowhere. Think about it. What does it profit you and me? We gain the whole world and we lose our soul. We never crossed over to heaven. Sisters and brothers, all that you see here, we are warned. The days will come when there will will not be left a stone upon another that will not be thrown down. No matter how rich powerful you are, remember this. May we have no regrets in the end that we loved too little, too late. We loved God too little, too late. We loved people too little, too late because we loved ourselves too much. This is the Lord's reminder for all of us today. Whatever you did not do for one of these little ones, you did not do to me. Matthew 25:44. So dear brothers and sisters, avoid panic and regrets at the end of our lives. Stay good and have faith. Then you're ready to face anything, anyone, including God.
Today, I just like us all just to listen to God's reminder. Please bow your head and listen to the Lord. Whatever makes you panic, whatever makes you afraid, listen. Listen to the Lord telling you now, "My child, I love you. I have called you by name. You are mine. Before I formed you, I knew you. You're precious to me and honored. I love you. I have loved you with an everlasting love. I continue to show you my constant love. How can I abandon you? My love for you is too strong. Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Yet even should she forget. I will never forget you. I can never forget you. See, I have graven you on the palm of my hands. I, the Lord your God, am holding you by the right hand. Do not be afraid. I have redeemed you. I am with you. And be sure of this. I am with you always till the end of the world. Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in me. I will help you. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you. Your trouble will not overwhelm you. The hard trials that come will not hurt you. Do not worry. Even the hairs of your head have been numbered. So there is no need to be afraid of anything. The mountains may depart, the hills will be shaken, but my steadfast love for you will never end. Come, my love, I will lead you into solitude, and there I will speak tenderly to your heart. I will be true and faithful. I will show you constant love and make you mine forever. I will keep my promise and you will really know me then as never before. I love you sincerely yours. I am who I am. I am the Lord your God, the faithful God."
Sisters and brothers, love letter from God. Do not panic. Stay good and have faith. Sanapo, we live in such a way. And when we come to the last moments of our lives, we'll have no regrets that we loved God and people too little too late just because we loved ourselves too much. Mama Mary teach us to trust the Lord more and worry less. Amen. Amen. So again, please tell the person beside you, don't worry, be happy, don't panic, just have faith. Amen. And amen.
We rise as we pray. I believe in one God, >> of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages, God from God, light from light, through God from true God, begotten not made, conssubstantial with the Father. Through him all things were made. for us men and for our salvation. He came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake, he was crucified under Pontious Pilate. He suffered death and was buried and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one holy, Catholic, and apostolic church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Let us ask the Almighty Father to make us ready for the coming of his son in glory by our participation in the building up of his kingdom on earth. Waiting in joyful hope, we pray, Father, listen to the prayers of your children. >> Father, listen to the prayers of your children. >> May we be reminded that all things and realities in this world will pass away. And so place our trust in God who will make all things new. We pray. Father, listen to the prayers of your children. >> May the church's preferential option for the poor >> and the vulnerable not just be about charity, but a deep fraternal solidarity that recognizes them as fellow members of God's family. May church and government officials show special concern for the poor and address the excessive forms of moral and social disorder to generate new forms of poverty and marginalization. We pray, >> Father, listen to the prayers of your children. We pray >> father listen to the prayers of your children. Let us pray for the urgent concerns of our community and our personal intentions. >> We pray, >> Father, listen to the prayers of your children.
Heavenly Father, help us to be faithful to you just as you are faithful to us through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you forever and ever. >> Amen. >> Amen.

As we offer this bread and as we bring you this wineord Jesus send us your together we as we as weless serve. He will love. Pray my dear brothers and sisters that this our sacrifice at thanksgiving may be acceptable to God our loving father. >> May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good and the good of all his holy church. Grant, O Lord, we pray, that what we offer in the sight of your majesty may obtain for us the grace of being devoted to you and gain us the prize of everlasting happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. >> Amen. >> The Lord be with you. >> And with your spirit. >> And lift up your hearts. >> We lift them up to the Lord. >> Let us joyfully give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right and just. >> It is truly right and just, our duty, our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, Almighty, eternal God, for you laid the foundations of the world and have arranged the changing of times and seasons. You formed man in your own image, set humanity over the whole world in all its wonder to rule in your name over all you have made. And forever praise you in your mighty works through Christ the Lord. You are indeed holy, O Lord, the f of all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these gifts we pray by sending down your spirit upon them like the dwfall that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread and giving thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take this all of you and eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take this all of you, drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant. be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me. The mystery of faith. And we call again your death. Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity. together with Leo our Pope and Elas our bishop and all the clergy. Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection and all who have died in your mercy. Welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all. We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of God, with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be coairs to eternal life and may praise and glorify you through your son Jesus Christ.
