Hi, this is Chad McBroom and this is Alberta Quigley and you're on the Marketplace Network. I am executive pastor here at Hearts of Fire Church where we're recording on Saturday morning. You're welcome to join us. This was just right after service. You're welcome to join us here at Hearts of Fire service. Uh, excuse me, Hearts of Fire Church. Uh, you can find us on the web at heartsoffire.urch to find out more about our church.
But today we're here with Alberta Quigley's program and we're going to talk about this right here. What is this? This is a book that Alberta Quigley put out called Unlimited God. Now, Alberta's been in the ministry for years. I have to be careful with that because she's a woman. So I got to be careful with how many years I talk about. So I'll just say years. And through that years of being in the ministry comes wisdom. Why? Because she's had to go through a lot.
And because she's had to go through a lot, she wanted to put some of that in book form to encourage you and me. And I've read this book and it's been a great encouragement to me. There's many of her testimonies about different things that have happened in her life during the ministry and I'm sure there will be a volume or two following this of more stories. So with that, Alberta, what are we going to do today with the book Unlimited God?
Well, we shouldn't limit God and go off and try to do our will instead of his.
Okay.
And that's what I did about two and a half years ago.
Oh. Uh, I got my little office, my little apartment there, and I I thought, you know what? I'm just not going to go to church. I'm going have my little church here. I'm going to have a little um place, the back room.
I even called some friends out there to dedicate the place.
Now, let's let's stop right here and maybe I can um equate this to a Bible character. Now, Alberta, as you will find in the back of the book, there's pictures of her on uh very well-known TV ministries in the past.
Yeah.
Where she was a regular guest. She was big in the ministry.
If you look close enough, you'll even find a picture of me and her back here. But anyway, Alberta was big time in the ministry, doing big things for God. And then all of a sudden, she thought, you know what? I'm just going to cut it back. I'm gonna go into what she calls a cave.
And that reminded me of a prophet that did the same thing. His name was Elijah. Now Elijah did some fantastic great work for God. I mean over and beyond what we well maybe not what we could ever dream or imagine. But you know what? He challenged all the false prophets of that pagan religion of Baal that King Ahab's wife Jezebel had appointed. And he called them to a showdown between their god and his god. And of course, God showed up. It was a great miraculous work.
Then Jezebel decided she was going to try to kill him. And for some reason, he freaked out and ran.
Yeah. And after his big ministry experience, so to speak, he ran. He ran and ran till he ran out of energy and he fell down under a juniper bush. I think he thought he was going to die there. Angel shows up and ministers to him and he gains strength. And God asks him, "What are you doing here?" And then he gets on the run again. He runs to this mountain and he finds a cave and he decides he's going to hang out in a cave. And again, God wants to know what the heck he's doing there. So Alberta kind of had her big ministry moments and she thought, "You know what? I'll just set up my own cave."
Yeah. I'll set up my little old cave.
Yeah.
But you know, like David had an army get him out of the cave and uh also uh many people right now as we're talking, they're in a cave and you've decided to do things your own way. Let me read you this scripture. Uh, Proverbs 19:20, listen to counsel and receive instruction that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man's heart, just like Elijah run into that dog cave. Nevertheless, the Lord's counsel that will stand.
See, for once, I wasn't mad at anybody. There were no There were no ministers.
My gosh.
They had it in for me. I had it in
for no reason.
We're laughing about it now, but if you get into the ministry, you will have
Oh, yeah.
attacks.
You will You will
You will have people saying things about you. You just have to have tough skin and hang it out.
Well, that wasn't the case.
That wasn't the case here. I decided to do my own little thing. And I could almost see Jesus with the ants, the angels laughing, you know, look at what she's going to do. Few little chairs in the back room. No going to church. I have a little church there.
She was ordained. So, she's going to have her little
You know what happened?
Her little church
in the middle of this little cave thing. Um, I got a card in my mailbox inviting me to a church just 5 minutes away and it was like, "Go to that church." Okay. Yeah. See, I tried to be a pastor once.
She tried.
I lasted two weeks. Emphasize that.
I lasted two weeks.
It's hard to be a pastor.
Yeah. Well, I did cuz Well, anyway, never mind. But anyway, I tried that out anyhow. So I thought, well, I'll visit that church. Why?
By the way, can I add, I never wanted to be a pastor either, and here I am. Go ahead.
Yeah. Anyway, so I walk in that church and it's down the street and wonderful pastor, and they all greeted me and and and then we looked toward the door, me and my friend, and we see a man walking in
through the door,
and something just said to me, "Who's that man?" And he walked in and it was filled aboard. He's on the back of my book. I'm going to talk about how I met both of these men.
So, Phil wrote up a little something about Alberta here on the book and then I'm above it. I'm first here and it was good on the top.
Phil wrote something good.
Yeah. And Phil wrote something really good.
Anyway, so he came in and we ministered to each other and I got to know Phil Deour. And so what the man did, he started asking me about ministry. He went out and he got a hold of all the churches almost where I spoke. Not all of them.
Wow.
About three. And the pastors asked me, "Where's she been?" And he didn't know. Matter of fact, when he got involved, I was glad that he didn't know what he was doing.
You know, this is interesting
because he would have ran away.
This is interesting because we have this common thread with Phil. Phil has a gift of opening doors and and giving good guidance.
Yeah,
he did the same thing for me, which is I just thought about it right now. And actually, we're going to talk about a little bit later.
It's because of Phil opening a door at a church and saying, "You should go here." And I just listened to Phil is how I actually met you, Albert.
Yeah. Well, we're going to talk about how that happened. So, anyway, and then he got hold of the four gospel businessmen. and I ministered with them for years and for them in different states, but mostly in Washington here.
He got a hold of them and Phil said, "I'm going to take you out to the full gospel businessmen." And I walked in and it was being like family. I saw all the leaders I used to work for. And that was a full gospel businessman in Kent. They have meetings once a month on Monday. But anyway, um, so he had gotten me, God used this man to get me going again in the ministry.
Yeah.
Well, it wasn't long until I figured out that I was not being led by the Lord,
you know, preparing my own little cave.
Yes.
My own little uh place where I
own little ministry that you developed. Not necessarily what the Lord wanted. Now, like he said, and I'm not bragging on this, I'd been on TBN several times in this state, many and other states,
plus Day Star and 700 Club. Yeah. And here I am wanting to get a little apartment with a little office and do my thing. Now, let me ask you. God really wants to know, and he already knows, but I'm going to ask you, are you in a cave? Have you decided to do things your own way like I did? Well, now I'm back out. I'm back in the media and um doing the things that God wants me to do. now.
And how do you feel about uh one experience over the other, Alberta? Being in the cave or now? What What is better?
I wouldn't trade now at all. I would not trade now at all.
Being led by the spirit.
Yeah.
In all ways. But in the ministry field, it's it's where you want to be, right?
Oh, yeah. And and like I said, if Phil knew what he was doing, he'd have left. Now, this is an important topic because we're in end time revival. Now, you may not be a preacher, an evangelist, a teacher, a pastor, whatever.
Doesn't matter, though. Be led of the Lord because we're in this last day revival. I believe we live in this Leodysian age in Revelation chapter 3, the lukewarm church,
and let the Lord open doors and guide you. Don't make your own plans.
Well, you know what? Uh, so God God puts people in our life.
Yes. And then Phil and I did Phil and I did some ministry at the well in uh
in u Sar
and then we first fruits in
Sar and that's where I met Alberta and Phil invited me
Phil invited him and I saw Chad I didn't know Chad
I didn't know Alberta he said I think you should meet this gal will you come up to midweek service and every time I listen to what Phil told me to do there was something in it God was in it. And there's people out there that are like that when somebody asks you maybe to do something and step out. I didn't know anybody at that church.
And here in the Pacific Northwest this time of year it gets dark at 4:30 and with the rain it's not fun being out there driving around. I the church was very difficult to find. I got there early but
Well, I called I called Chad up and I didn't know nothing about Chad,
you know, nothing. I never met him before and I called him. Hey, you come up here and he came up.
Yeah. So, maybe we should give him a little background information. So, I had
been going through a very difficult personal experience at that time about five years. Mhm.
And I had got away from where my home and my family and I moved in with my parents where my dad was suffering from uh the later stages of dementia. So it was very difficult but my mom needed help. You know at that point she was in her late 80s
and um man I just didn't know what God wanted. So I'm walking the neighborhood literally screaming out to God, what do you want me to do? Where do you want me to go? I had ministered for quite a while. Saw the picture of Phil literally in my mind. I saw and I knew I had him on Facebook and that's how I reached out and contacted him and he began to be that instrument of opening doors and one of them was to meet Alberta with God's intent to get me back into the ministry.
I I call him up. I wouldn't let him go.
Yeah. So when we were at the church,
shut the door and lock him. He's up here.
Yeah. So Alberta's ministering and she ministers uh in a very powerful way inner healing and the gift of word of knowledge and she had called up a young couple and she's like Chad you get up here and I just met her and knew her name that was it and I hadn't done any ministry
for years at this point and so this was going to be a reactivation for me as well.
Yeah and ever since then we've been doing programs together. Mhm.
He is a pastor. He wasn't a pastor when he met Chad.
Chad is an extraordinarily wise minister. I mean, he knows the Bible
every which way, you know, whereas me, I'm just a country girl and I'm I'm not I'm not well-versed like he is. See, God's got a sense of humor.
Yeah. Well, there's different bodies parts, right, to the body of Christ. And so,
well, there's another man I want to honest honor,
and that's a cop friend of mine. You know, I'm in the first part of the book starts about uh
That's true.
getting into uh I do
chapter one is divine protection and the call to support law enforcement.
Yeah. So, anyway, I met Tim. Um, we were working on initiative 335 here in Washington and they said, "You need a cop." So I went down to the police station and they gave me Tim walked in. I said, 'W will you help me on initiative 335? He says, 'Sure.' After that, we became very good friends, did a lot of ministry, and he and his wife were wonderful to me. And uh but one time I had an out with a minister. Can you imagine that?
Boy, that's hard for me to believe. and he told me he said Alberta and at that time that cop was on my board. Harold Bredesen was too and I had others and me and Han had a little public to do there which I was in the wrong. Of course I was in the wrong.
So uh he said by tomorrow you won't have any ministry and I was due to speak at a crowd of 400. Anyway, to make a long story short, um he run the m he had all my meetings cancelled and I walked away. I said, "You know what? If ministries like this, um I'm done." And I walked away.
Here comes the cave.
And then here come uh Tim the policeman. He said, "Alberta, I want to meet you at Denny's." I said, "Okay." He came in and I cried for about two and a half two hours. And then he said, "Alberta, um, come out to my truck." Now, he could be a kind cop, but he could be tough, too.
And I said, "What for?" He said, "Come out to my truck. Get out to the truck." He said, "Get in my truck." Okay, officer. I'll get in the the truck. Although I knew him well, you know. And uh I said, "Tim, where are you taking me?" He said, 'I'm taking you to the garbage dump
with me.
And I said, 'Oh, now you made me cry almost two hours. Now you're taking me to the dump. He said, 'Yeah. Anyway, he took me to the dump. He was dumping a bunch of garbage. He pulled his truck back up and he said, "Now, get out of the truck." I looked over that thing and I said, "Ooh, this stinks, Tom. What'd you bring me here for?" He says, "Cuz your unforgiveness stinks." M
I said, "What?" Jim said, "You're not getting out of the ministry." He said, "Now, I'm going to take each bag of garbage. You're going to name every one of those ministers, and you're going to forgive every one of them." You know, we did that, and you know, it worked. And God put me back in the ministry and gave me a lot of open doors after that little forgiveness thing. But like I said, when I met Chad and Phil, I was like a little saint, not like
about two years ago,
you know, I met Tim and and I want to honor him today. He really he was been a good friend like you and and Phil had been and like the hopefully they still are. I know Chad is. Yeah,
Phil might have ran away. Anyway, um the Lord says here, he says, "For I am the Lord. If I say it," and this is in Ezekiel 12:25. It says, "For I am the Lord. If I say it will happen, it will. If I say it, it will happen." Well, the Lord had
maybe not on our timing, but it will happen.
It will happen. If he said it, it will happen. So, when I was making all my little plans, just like I was when I met the cop, Tim, um, God completely changed the whole thing when I met Phil and you. Completely uh, change it.
That was a fast forward with Phil and me, right?
There were some years in between. Yeah,
there was what?
Some years in between.
Some Yeah. So between the cop and and that's why I support one of the reasons I support the police now was because of Tim and another policeman, Paul Day, I ran with in Houston.
Mhm.
Only him, me and him never got into it. And yeah,
you know, but anyway, uh if I had not met uh first Phil and then Chad, because Chad, you've been a blessing to this ministry and
even though he's like well educated, you've been to Israel many times.
Yeah, I studied in Israel.
And here I am a plain old country girl. He knows the word. I mean, he knows the word better than any person I've ever met. And I thought, you know what, God, you put me with in ministry with a man like Chad. I mean, he's been in Israel. He knows the whole word. But God said this is
for I am the Lord. If I said it, it's going to happen.
Yeah. The funny thing is, if we think about the New Testament, we think about God's 12 plus Paul.
Yeah.
And what did what did God do? Who's the best equipped to minister to the Jewish people?
Yeah.
Well, it would have been the Apostle Paul. He studied under the greatest rabbi of the day from his youth, Rabbi Gamliel. And he said that he was exceeding beyond uh his other students under Gamliel. And you know when he when he met Jesus when Jesus invaded his life on the road to Damascus you know he was the most if it was our decision man, that guy was equipped to reach the Jewish nation especially those of the leadership because of his education. And yet where did was Paul sent
to the Gentiles.
Yeah. And then the fishermen, Peter and a couple other of them, they're sent to the Jewish people and they weren't what they would call learned, meaning they didn't study in a religious school, a yeshiva. And I find that interesting. So it doesn't surprise me that we sit here today as very different and yet uh together uh uh we make a good team.
Now before that, I'm understood with Bill Henderson all over the place.
Oh yeah, Dr. Bill Henderson
and Bill Henderson
from the power team.
When I get in got in that cave right before Bill called and he says, "Alberta, what do you think you're doing?"
I said, "Well, Bill, you know," he said, "Don't give me that." He said, "You're supposed to be out there ministering. I'm going to start praying. You get back out there." I felt like saying, "Shut up, Bill.
I'm in my comfort zone. Bill, Dr. Bill, don't pray." So Bill said, you know, and then Bill came to town. He met Phil and them two together. I thought, boy, I am in trouble. And then you came into my life. And it's like, you know, God will put people in our life who he wants to put in.
Yep.
He will do it. And Bill tried to convince me. I think sometimes we have to really be sensitive and recognize. I was in the mindset.
Once I saw the vision of Phil in the middle of the day with me screaming out loud in the neighborhood, "God, what do you want me to do? Where do you want me to go?" I was so frustrated
because I had gone to a mentor of mine that I first went to church with. I tried to fit into the church and it I didn't fit in. It was just because God didn't want me there. So he was going to use a person as an instrument
to begin to to have God connections. Yeah.
And open doors. And Phil was that instrument for me.
And I purposed in my heart to be sensitive about that and to try to honor and support whoever God brought into.
Yeah. And I think that that was we met how long ago?
Almost probably two years ago.
Yeah. About the same time I met Phil. But anyway, Bill tried and uh I just said, "Oh, Bill," he said, "Get down here to Portland now. You're going to California. You're going to do God's will." Anyway, so he came up and he met Phil and I thought, "Boy, I'm in trouble." Yeah. And then I met Chad, which was a humongous blessing for me. And you know, when we get good friendships, we got to bind every demonic force that could try to come and break those friendships up. You know, they they uh you know, some people say, "Well, they shouldn't be ministering together. I beg your pardon."
Well, I think again, back to that statement I made. I think we need to be sensitive. Try to be sensitive when we sense that God's in it. that God is creating a divine connection,
right?
And then remember that regardless of what's going on.
Yeah.
And if it's our intent and purpose with no hidden agendas to try to support that person, encourage that person,
not trying to create my ministry. Yeah.
But to just your your intent is just to advance the kingdom and support those around you and cheer them on. Yeah,
that is a recipe for success.
Yeah. And just like God sent Tim, God sent Chad, God sent Phil, God will put people in your life. I want to ask you, we only have five minutes left.
Is there something you're running from from God? Are you wanting to get in a cave like I did or just have that simple little ministry? Well, simple ministries are wonderful. Housewives housewives can have a ministry just taking care of their husband and their kids. That's true. A great thing. But that wasn't God's plan for me. It was not his plan.
And uh we cannot go by what we feel or God will send someone in to rescue you. It could be me like when I met Chad. Chad was going through a lot, but I wouldn't let him out the back door. Mhm.
I made him stay in there and minister and he tried to get away.
I did.
And I
But I kind of knew it was God, too, because it was pretty humorous. I wish we had more time we could tell you a story and you could laugh with us.
It was very humorous.
Yeah. And I told Chad, I said, "Go over there and minister with those women now."
Yeah. And I'm like, "Now wait a minute. There's a a woman pastor over there. Why don't you have her minister to the women?" She's like,
"No, Chad. you go minister to those women. I'm like, okay.
I had no idea how he was, but I held him up on that stage.
Y
and it was an order of the Lord, I believe.
Yeah, it was.
Not only did God put you and Phil in my life, but he put me in your life.
Yes.
And I don't know if he put me in Phil's life.
Well, it's always for mutual encouragement and uh the building up of of us. Well, what Phil says on the back of the book, he says, "I blessed him." I guess what did he say there?
Yeah. So, Phil says, uh, "Betterwigley has a deep passion for Jesus and a tender heart for people. She longs to live to set people free and the freedom she has received from God. Her ministry marked by signs, wonders, and miracles."
Yeah. I wonder part about where he said that how he how I blessed him.
Oh. Oh, he just says here at the end, it's a must-read book. It's been a a true joy in my life to be a part of her journey.
Okay. Has it been a true joy for you to be?
Yeah. And there's been some up and downs with Phil, but I'm sure Phil still feels the same way. By the way, Alberta, this book called Unlimited God, and it's a small read. I mean, you guys can rip through this in no time. It's uh 43 pages. Yeah,
it's 43 pages of testimonies and encouragement. Where can they get this book?
Unlimited God by Alberta Quigley.
Yes, we're with uh Dr. Ken and Bishop.
Yeah. So, I think it's available on Amazon.
It's available on other online book sellers. That's where you can get it. It's very reasonable. And again, I say it's a quick read. In fact, it's kind of funny because uh I'm going through it because this is the first release of it and there's a few spelling errors and stuff, but as I go through it, I'm surprised, especially, now this is going to sound really weird. I haven't even told Alberta this yet. I was reading uh the chapter out loud to myself and man, it was ministering to me for some reason out loud. Well, I'll tell you. Um, one minister told me they couldn't put it down, but I'm just if you want, uh, I limited God when I went in a cave. And, uh, we got to make sure that we don't, uh, limit God. Now, these shows do cost money.
Mhm.
And I would like to ask you that if you feel led, uh, to give, uh, please do. And you say, "Well, Alberta, how can we give?" Uh, they're going to put it on the screen.
Yeah. Uh, she has many ways you can support her. She actually has her own Alberta Quigley Ministry website.
So you can go to the website, you can give there. Uh, she you can give zel. There's many different PayPal I think is one of the options. Uh, but her website herself where you can learn more about Alberta Quigley would be helpful as well.
Yeah. And they'll put my phone number on the
screen and you can call at any time or get a hold of Chad. You can even get it to him because we do this together.
Yeah.
And uh I we've done about 32 shows now. I don't know if you knew that or not.
Yeah, we've done quite a few.
So anyway, the best thing I could Yeah,
I was just going to say you need to pray us out. We're running.
Okay, let's pray out. If you're in a cave or if you need God to send you someone like it did me right now, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray you will open every door that needs to be open for them. They'll forgive all their enemies. And Father, they will come back into the ministry full strength. And if you're a housewife, you got a ministry with your husband and your kids. That's a real big ministry. So, it doesn't have to be big. It can be little.
It doesn't you don't have to hold an office like in Ephesians 4:11 and following the five-fold ministry.
That's that's not what we're talking about here.
But let God send people in your life and let them bless you like Phil and Chad and that cop did mine and Bill Henderson, of course, I've known him for years. And so, let God send people into your life that will bless you. And don't run from God like I did and make my own little plans. Don't do that. Pray. I didn't even ask God before. I I thought I did, but he had other plans. And so, just follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
There it is.
He will lead you, guide you, and direct you. But don't get in a cave like I did. Okay? Don't do it. And if you're mad at somebody, go to them, repent, ask them to forgive you, and uh then get the ministry going in Jesus name.
All right.
So, we're going to cut it off here and and on my programs, I always say I'll say it on Alberta's program, too. And until next time, there will be a next time with Alberta Quigley right here.
Yeah.
On the Marketplace Network. Don't forget Unlimited God, her book in online stores, Amazon.com. get yourself a copy.
They can get a hold of Dr. Ken and Bishop uh the ones that do our program.
Yeah. The Marketplace Network
and they're in California and uh if you want to send anything to them, that'd be good, too. And we have a wonderful camera guy today and he's wonderful.
Yeah. Now, see, that's a gift in a ministry in itself, Kevin Briggs, here at Hearts of Fire Church. He's the one that's presenting such a powerful and professional video to you today.
Yeah. So, we just bless him in Jesus' name and we bless you in Jesus' name. Until next time, we'll see you right here on the Marketplace Network.
Yes, we will. We love you.
We love you.
