What In The World Is Going On? Session 1

Well, obviously, first of all, we're excited that you guys are here, and we really, uh, would like you, please, to notify your friends regarding tomorrow night. We'll get together at 7 o'clock. I think we, yeah, we'll start at 7 o'clock, and, um, that hopefully will give you time, uh, to commute home, you know, from work, and we'll get started.

And so, here's the thing. Tonight, Amir and I will talk. We wrote down a couple of things that we wanted to make sure that we touched on. But, um, uh, if we have time for Q&A tonight, we will do it. If not, we will try tomorrow night. But, uh, like anything that we've done here, you know, it's, uh, in light, you know, we just had the Dennis Prager event. I should say, the Dennis Prager event. It's an, the event that we used at Dennis Prager, uh, to show our support for Israel. But, uh, in, in that spirit, we made this comment, then we, we've made it in some of our services before. We make it again tonight, that, uh, this has been announced, people know about it, and some, look, most, most, if not all of you, are really good, sweet people. But there could be one goofball that got here tonight who wants to make mischief. And we want you to know that it is a federal offense to disrupt a religious service in the United States. And so, if you've come here to shout or to jump up and, uh, proclaim something that disrupts the service, um, here's, here are the rules. Uh, you'll be arrested. And while you're being arrested, we will give you the gospel. We will prosecute you.

Well, look, the Book of Romans 13 says the, the laws were created to defend the righteous, that's us, and the unrighteous, uh, they're P, they, they are disciplined by the law. And so, uh, we don't take this lightly. We, we love our American freedoms that have been blood-bought, and we defend them. And, uh, so, as Paul exercised his right as a Roman, we exercise our rights. Uh, well, I exercise my right as an American. He can exercise his right as an Israeli. I can say whatever I want. So, uh, yeah, it's true. It's true.

Well, I want to, I want to start with a verse, and then, uh, we're going to just, we're going to start talking. Jesus said it. In fact, it's the little tag. I don't know, I don't know if he believes it or not, but it's the tagline of Sean Hannity's program. "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me." Jesus said, said, "In my Father's house are many mansions. And if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also." That's our hope in the midst of everything. Jesus is preparing for us a place, listen, in heaven. And in all that's going on in the world right now, believe it or not, God is at work. He's preparing things. We, listen, we are not, um, sensationalists on one end. And as the pendulum swings, we're not skeptics on the other end. So, we're not skeptics, we're not sensationalists. As Bible believers, what are we? We're watching the stage be set. In, in a sense, in our observation, with Bible open and the news on, we are stage setters. We're watching God set the stage. These are amazing times, as you heard this morning, which was a great message today, of, of a call to us to be prepared.

So, listen, Amir, um, you thought, and I agreed with you, it's, it's a good thought that tonight should be kind of themed around the past and the present. Are you uncomfortable? I am very uncomfortable. Move your, move your chair. Move your chair. Yes. I'm used to stand, not to sit. So, there you go. No standing, no, sit. Okay.

So, we're going to start with this. We want to start because we're going to talk about the past and the present. And then tomorrow night, we'll take off from the present where we leave off tonight. We'll take off from there and go into the future, and technically beyond that. So, um, we, I, I want to talk about some things that for some years will be controversial, but absolutely necessary. First thing, uh, I want to shoot at is the origins of the land that we know today on the map as Israel. A lot of people think Israel came into being in 1948, that it's so young as a nation, and that it's somehow the occupier of a land. Tell us about the past regarding Israel.

Well, we start with a great promise that Abraham received from the Lord in Genesis 17. In fact, uh, the Lord promised Abraham, and he said, in, in verse, uh, seven, "I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you." And then he said, "And also, I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession, and I will be their God." So, the promise was already given to Abraham in Genesis. And of course, people will say, "But we're all the sons of Abraham." This is where we have to read the entire chapter, not only those two verses, and understand that to Ishmael, he gave other piece of land, and he actually blessed him, uh, in a different way. But it is to Abraham's seed through Isaac, yeah, that he promised the land of Canaan. Uh, so, the land of Canaan later on became the land of Israel, which later on received that, uh, terribly, uh, false and, and, and, and, uh, almost, uh, destructive name of Palestine. Yeah, and we'll talk more about that too.

But before we go any further, so you keep in mind of what, uh, Amir just said. First of all, I wonder if any of you caught this. I just caught this a moment ago. It looks like he's reading from The Book of Revelation with his Bible open, but he's reading the Hebrew, the Bible in Hebrew. So, of course, uh, mine is the right way. It's an older version. It's an older version. That's good. That's good.

Um, what, what is interesting to remember is, as we discussed tonight, the issue with the, what's happening in the world right now, I believe that even if Israel were to give all of the land of Israel to the Arab world, or the Palestinian world, or the Islamic world, it wouldn't end the fight for this one reason. This is my opinion. I've not rehearsed this with him. This is my thought. It's, Israel is the, is the punching bag that Satan gets to punch. But if Satan had his way, he would go after, like we know from scripture, the God of heaven and earth, right? And so, when you think about this, God is the ultimate target. Israel is the manifestation of God's promises. So, an unbelieving world, or a Godless world, goes after Israel. Are you with me? To get to the God of Israel. Very important. When you think about now, who created the heavens and the earth? God did. Were the Canaanites in the promised land before the Jews arrived? Yes. If you don't believe in God, then the Canaanites were there first. Did you hear me? But if you do believe in God, whatever God says trumps all things. Are you with me? So, the validity of what we're discussing tonight is all based on the promises of God. The world today believes either in no God, or, or some other God. But if you believe in the God of the Bible, then you must embrace His promises. And His promises, you, he read it a moment ago from the Hebrew Bible, to Israel is the land that was preoccupied by the flesh. And when God called Joshua into the land, he called Joshua to circumcise the land of the flesh. Ladies and gentlemen, you and I were born into this world in flesh, and we need to be born again, right? By promise, to experience new life. Think of it. What we're seeing lived out with the nation of Israel, the Jewish people, in this battle right now, all comes down to, is the God of heaven and earth going to keep His promises? The answer is yes, He will. And so, it's far deeper, but the manifestation of what's happening, we're seeing lived out with the nation of Israel, and I think that's very, very significant.

So, yeah, it's also, is the God of Israel the God of the Muslims and the God of all the others? That's also a valid question. Because if, if He promised that to Abraham, they claim that it's theirs also. Well, I believe we don't even believe in the same God. Absolutely. But if we even go to that direction, then, as I said, you have to understand that God said in His word that it's going to be through Isaac that He's going to establish that covenant to which He promised Abraham. And in, and it follows that in verse 20, and He says, "And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. And behold, I have blessed him and will make him exceedingly fruitful, and I will make him a great nation. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation." There's no curse here. He blessed him. He actually heard Abraham's question, "What about my other son?" And God is not really turning His head around. He's listening and He's answering. Yet, He said, however, in verse 21, "My covenant I will establish with Isaac." That's what He said. So, we have to address that. It's the, it's the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that is establishing His covenant through the bloodline of, uh, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The promised son. The promised son. The son of promise. Exactly. Son of promise.

So, when we talk about the land, um, of Israel, by the way, do you guys all understand the back of your Bible? Your Bible maps are uninspired. You all know that. I don't know why I'm, I don't know why I said it. You all do. You know that your Bible maps have, for example, uh, Palestine in the time of Christ? Did you know that in your Bibles in the back? That's from the, uh, publisher. Completely wrong. Have you ever read your Bible? Does it ever say Palestine in your Bible? Nowhere. Absolutely not. We'll get, we'll get into that more. The fallacy of Palestine historically, archaeologically, linguistically. It's interesting. But I brought that up to to ask you this, or to have, uh, to have this be our next place regarding the land. According to God, answer us. Israel, according to God. And then Israel, according to the government of man, for example. Does that make sense? Uh, Israel in the mind of God. Um, but when does Israel come into existence? When it comes to politics, when it comes to, well, of course, when we talk about, um, when we talk about the people of Israel, they only come into existence as a nation when they come out of Egypt. And that's when they get the law. And that's when they have finally sort of like a name, like, uh, characteristics. And then they need a leader. And then we have the leaders. At first, they were the, the judges and the prophets. And then, of course, they wanted kings. But, uh, it's only starting with, uh, King Saul, and of course, with King David, that we have a real monarchy. And we can really say that we have Israel as a country of the people of Israel with a king, with a capital, and all that, uh, has to do with it. So, nothing before, um, so, um, that's, that's, well, in the mind of God, who knows all things, the Bible announces to us Israel, right? But the world, the world would say, "Israel's young. Israel has no right." We just heard it recently from some of our administration, our own country here. But archaeologically, the state of Israel is young. But the state of Israel is just a phase in the history of Israel. And just, so, so you understand, even the state of Israel as it is right now, as a democracy, will not last forever. When Antichrist is coming, and he is going to rule, there will be no government in Jerusalem, and parliament in Jerusalem. He's going to do whatever he wants. In fact, the Jewish people will flee from the horrors of the Antichrist. So, we are now in an, and very interesting chapter in the history of Israel. That for the first time ever in our history, we are a democracy. We've never been a democracy. There was a king, or there were some leaders. That's right. And then we were in diaspora for almost 2,000 years. Now we're back in the land, and now we are a democracy. Why is it that we are a democracy now? This is the only form of government at this time and era that can exist to absorb the Jews from all parts of the world and defend the country, while the rest of the world will accept it. You understand that if we would have been in any other shape or form of government, they would have destroyed us long time ago. That's right. So, this is why God chose democracy for now. But we did not have it in the past because there was no democracy in the past. And we will not have it in the future because when Christ comes back, and we come with Him, it will be, it's a theocracy under Christ. So, democracy in Israel is a matter of, so far, we have 66, 67 years. Well, I know I'm not a prophet. I told you that. But it's not going to be, uh, for that long. Less than 100 years, that's for sure.

You know, you think about what he just said. This is fun because, uh, God, who obviously knows all things at all times, it's wonderful. Uses democracy, which, look, our founding fathers argued the formation of our democracy based upon the Old Testament scriptures, which is fantastic. Think of it. They actually cited scriptures in John Locke's treaty on government to establish our nation. Having said that, not only do I believe that God used democracy to create the United States of America and to allow it to be, as it were, an incubator or nursery for the Jewish people, but at the right time, the Jewish people would make their way back home, fulfilling the need for a democracy. In other words, we are approaching the time when, for God's purposes, a democracy will no longer be needed. Correct. Why? Because He will have regathered His people back into the land of Israel, as Amir was just saying. Think of it. Think of what's happening. You saw today the slide from Newsweek, I think it was, magazine, Exodus, how Jews are leaving Europe because they're unsafe, heading to Israel. Why? Because democracies in Europe are failing. Democracy in the United States is failing. Islam thinks they're the ones that are making it fail. But God is getting to the place of, "I, it has served my purpose." Expiration? Why? Yeah, because my people have come back home. And that Christian is a tremendous harbinger of excitement for us that we are approaching the time when God is going to focus once again, as promised in Daniel chapter 9, the last seven-year period of time that He has promised to the fulfillment of Daniel's 490-year prophecy of Daniel chapter 9:24-27. It's absolutely amazing that we're seeing this, uh, happen right now.

Um, you want to make a comment before we go into the next? I'm just saying that, uh, people don't understand that God is not, uh, a Democratic or a Republican God. He's using forms of government, a time period, to serve His purposes and His plans. Yeah. If it was a monarchy in the past, it is democracy right now, it will be theocracy in the future. But we are in, in a very interesting and crucial chapter in the history of Israel that affects the history of the other nations all around the world. And, and therefore, we see what we see right now.

So, listen to this. Um, you all remember, and gosh, if we would have choreographed this, it could have been really cool to have on the screens that forever amazing statement when Ronald Reagan said, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall." Remember that? Rocked the world. And after the wall came down, and I again, I believe this is what happened. After the wall came down, you know, when the wall came down, it messed up a lot of nations. Ask the Greeks. The Greeks, they told me, when I was in Greece, they said, "Look, Reagan's a great guy, but, uh, we wish he never would have said that." Because all the lunatics from Southern Russia ran into Greece, and it's messed up our social programs completely. Since that happened, it's ruined our economy. And then now, look what's happened because the social structure collapsed. But Reagan says it, the wall comes down. What was the greatest thing that happened regarding the coming down of the, of the Iron Curtain? It was this: just from the regions of St. Petersburg, Russia, for example, from St. Petersburg to Moscow, over 600,000 Russian-born Jews went home to Israel, which they had never been to before. And, and that number now is far greater than 600,000. That was at the initial time. Are you, so, are you with me? Reagan says, "Tear down this wall." The wall goes down. And what's the result? Hundreds of thousands of Russian-born Jews go home to Israel for the first time. Listen, Isaiah 43:1: "But now thus says the Lord who created you, O Jacob, and who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life.'" Listen to this. "Therefore I will give men for you." In other words, life. In other words, life. Lives are going to be expended for Israel's existence, and people for your life. "Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the East and gather you from the West; I will say to the North, 'Give them up,' and to the South, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth, everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed you, yes, I have made you." That's what God said to Israel 743 years before Jesus was born, nearly 3,000 years ago. As we sit here tonight, Israel, Israel, Israel, Israel.

Which leads us to this next thing to consider. Is all across our university campuses. You brought it up perfectly this morning. It's, it's, it's everywhere on our university campuses. If you have a young person today, or if you're on a university campus, you've already seen it and heard it. Uh, "Israel's the occupier. Throw Israel out. Boycott Israel products." By the way, any of you in the Presbyterian Church? Get out. Run. Run. Because they're boycotting Israeli products, for example. Get out of it. Flee. The whole house is going to come down. Uh, but on the university campuses, it's all pro-Palestinian. Why? I want to ask this question. Why? Historically, I'd like to know. Why? Archaeologically, I'd like to know. Why? I would like to know, uh, where did Palestine come from? Where, where is this, uh, what's the origin of this, of this rage?

Well, first of all, the name Palestine is not in the Bible. If anything, you find is Philistine, the, the land of the Philistines, Philistia. That was the, the name of that land. Now, when, uh, the people of Israel lived in the land under foreign regimes, it was first, of course, the, uh, we're talking about the, uh, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks. And when the Greeks were here, they had a great revolt against the Greeks, and they managed to kick the Greeks out of the country and, uh, and establish an independent kingdom known as the Hasmonean Kingdom, the Maccabees. And for almost 100 years, we had independence until the Romans came. When the Romans came in 68 BC, they put an end to that independence. And now they're ruling the, uh, Judea and the rest in Galilee and all of that. They're ruling until the Jewish people in 66 AD started a great revolt, thinking that the same way God was with us against the Greeks, He will be with us also now against the Romans. Little do they know that the, although they had great success in the first couple of years, then came Titus Vespasian and oppressed, suppressed, and depressed all of them. And eventually, by the summer of the year 70 AD, Jerusalem fell. But then, thinking that the Jews had learned their lesson, the Romans allowed the Jews to return back to Jerusalem and establish or maintain a certain measure of independence until the Jews once again started a revolt. This time, in the year 132 AD. This time, it was actually something quite tragic because about 100 years after the Jewish people rejected Christ as their Messiah, they're now embracing someone else as their Messiah, whom they chose to lead their, their, uh, revolt. And his name was Bar Kokhba, the son of the stars. That revolt ended up with not only that there was no more Temple, now there's no more Israel. Hadrian Caesar Hadrian, in the year 135 AD, brought an end to Jerusalem, leveled it completely, and built on top a pagan city and named it after himself and after, uh, his god. Um, and he called it Aelia Capitolina. Hadrianus was his name. Capitolinus Jupiter was the name of the god that he worshiped. Jupiter. Now, the other thing he did, he changed the name of the country from Israel, Judea, whatever it was, into Syria Palestina. Why? Naming it after the Old Testament foes of the Jewish people, the Philistines. So, we will name it after their foes. It's a sort of an act of humiliation of the Jewish people. They did a lot of things to humiliate the Jews at that time. One of them is minting a coin. If the Jewish people were, uh, waving with palm branches to to, uh, somehow declare independence, then the Romans minted a coin with a palm tree and a widow underneath. And if they said, "Judea Cap," Judah is captive. You see, you wanted a palm tree, you got it, but your widows will sit underneath and cry. So, there's quite a few things that they did in order to, uh, somehow humiliate the Jews. One of them was, of course, uh, that the name of Israel was erased, just like Psalm 83 says that the name of Israel will be remembered no more. And the name of the old foes of the Jews from the Old Testament, the Philistines, was given to that place instead. The interesting thing is now, if you are naming it after the Philistines, then it's now the land of the Philistines. Now, who were the Philistines? These were the sea people from the Greek Isles that came when they suffered from famine. So, there it has nothing to do with Arabs or anything like that. But to get even deeper, if you analyze the name Philistine in the Hebrew, it means "The Invader." Yeah. So, when you call yourself, "I'm a Palestinian," what are you actually saying? You're amazing, huh? The meaning of it. So, so the name Palestine was there since 135 AD. So many people around the world hated the name of Israel that immediately that change was embraced and was kept as long as they could until 1948. Jerusalem's name was restored shortly after. Yet, Israel's name was not allowed to be used until a little short guy named David Ben-Gurion in 1948 decided that against all odds, he's going to stand on a podium that will make him a bit taller, and he will tell the entire world that he hereby declares the establishment of the state of the Jews. Then it will be called once again, the state of Israel.

Amir, where was he born? He was in Russian. Russian. He was a Russian Jew. Yes. Interesting. Mhm.

So, listen, next time you bump into someone who says they're a Palestinian, um, I mean, don't insult them by saying, "So, you're an invader?" No, don't, don't you say that. I, if they're Greek, yeah. But the origin. Think of the origin. Now, from what you've heard, and again, you go research this and find this out for yourself. If you're not going to believe what, what Amir has to say about this, this is in history books. Hadrian, in fact, I've been to his, uh, what is that place? Mausoleum. It's a, has any, have any of you been to Rome and you've seen his mausoleum? It's amazing. It's one of my favorites. It's an amazing place. That's the guy. So, here you are again, like everything we have in the Bible, uh, your, your understanding is based on fact. He actually did this to insult the Jewish people as much as possible without erasing them from the face of the earth. He embarrassed them tremendously by declaring that that land to be so. Um, always keep that in mind. Look, I'm, my, my, uh, I mentioned Bible maps a moment ago. You can't see this, but you can see this. Yep. See, you cross out Palestine, you put Israel instead. I do that with all my maps. I do that in commentaries when I'm reading, and it will say, "And so Jesus walked through the land of Palestine." He never did. No. He never walked through the land of Palestine. Jesus wasn't around in 135 AD. And in fact, when, when, if you want to find the name of the country in the New Testament, go to the story when the angel called Joseph and Mary back from Egypt, and it says, "Back, come back to the land of Israel." That's what it says. So, sorry. Yeah.

But look, uh, people don't know. So, I would also say one more thing. Assuming that the name Palestine is a legitimate one, it's wrong to say that the Arabs are Palestinians. That's right. Why? Because there was a majority of Jews in the land, and they were Palestinians, as well as until the land was called Israel again. All the Jews in the land were called Palestinians. In fact, the Palestine Post is the Jerusalem Post of today. The Palestinian Orchestra was a Jewish Orchestra. The Palestinian Brigade was a Jewish Brigade in the British Army that fought alongside the Brits against the Nazis, while the Arabs in the land allied with Hitler. We have a good friend who was born a long time ago, and his birth certificate is Palestine, correct? So, before, before 1948, he was born in Israel. His birth, he's Jewish. His birth certificate says Palestine. Why? Because it was before 1948. Mhm. Interesting. Huh? Very, very Betty.

Um, I jotted down here. I, I want to talk about, um, it's the land of promise. There are those who are claiming it. There's a battle over it all. Uh, but the Old Testament promised that if the Jewish people, uh, rejected God's rule, rejected God's word, that they would be, uh, cast out. They would be a byword throughout the nations of the world. Not some nations, mind you, but the nations of the world. Which leads me to ask, comment about this thing that is called the diaspora. Diaspora. And in, in light of the fact God promised Abraham the land, and think of this, everybody. God promises Abraham the land, but the Jewish religious leadership rejects the Messiah, right? But God says, "If you do that, you're going to be dispersed throughout all the nations of the world." Does that somehow thwart the plan of God? Does that somehow cause the Bible to be of none effect? No. God anticipated all this. Okay. So, there's this thing called the diaspora. Diaspora. That's when the Jewish people were actually, um, dispersed all over the world to more than 100 different countries. And they started living in communities. In fact, we had two different historical episodes of Jewish diaspora when, uh, the Northern Kingdom of Israel and later on the Southern Kingdom of Judea fell under the, the Assyrians and Babylonians. That's the first time they were driven out of the land, and they had to be out for almost 70 years. If you, if you all remember that. And there, then it is only the tribe of Judah that returned. Therefore, the name is no longer the, the children of Israel. Starting from the New Testament, you keep, you start hearing the name Jews. It's no longer the children of Israel. Why? Why? Because you're talking about the tribe of Judah, and you're talking about the land of Judea at that time. And so, that was the first phase of diaspora, that we only, it was Judah that returned, the tribe of Judah. And then that's what everybody talks about, the 10 lost tribes. They're not lost, don't worry. But speaking of that, it's because it was only the tribe of Judah and Levi, the Cohanim, and the Levites that were with him that returned back to the land. So, when the prophets of old are talking about the mass return of the children of Israel, not the tribe of Judah, from the four corners of the world, they're not talking about the return to Judea at the end of the Assyrian-Babylonian, uh, thing. They're talking about a futuristic event. Yeah. Glory. Where Jews will come in great numbers from different parts of the world back to the land of Israel. My grandparents of both sides were not born in Israel. In fact, both my parents were not even born in Israel. I'm the first generation in my family that was born in the, in the country. My, uh, my mother's parents are Polish and Russian, believe it or not. My mom is blonde. And yes. And, uh, my father's side is from Portugal. And from Portugal, they were expelled by Ferdinand and Isabella. You remember? All the way to different parts of the Mediterranean Basin. And his family came to Northern Africa, to the area of Tunisia. And from there, my father came to Israel. So, every Israeli today is some, somewhat, somehow related to the diaspora. Either his parents or grandparents were from that part. Very few Israelis, very few, like the one we know, are more than two generations in the land. You and I have a friend, and I won't mention his name, but his family, remember from the diaspora, wound up in Yemen, correct? And when his parents heard about the independence in 1948, they packed up everything they had in Yemen and they began walking to Israel. They walked. Mhm. And at some point, it's a, this has nothing to do with the story, but it's cool. At some point, they, under the hardship of it, they couldn't continue any further with, uh, with it. His sister, or an aunt, or something like this. And they had to leave her on the path as they walked, lamenting all the way. Imagine the drive, the love of a country that, for whatever the situations and the dynamic is, they have. They set their daughter down to die on the path. Lo and behold, what happens? He winds up meeting up with her years later. She, sort of, someone picked her up and took her. And what's the point? God so much so brings His people home. But these are people who heard Israel. They were born in Yemen. Israel's been liberated. We're a nation. And they, imagine you leaving your home and going to your, yes, your promised land. The same goes with the story of the Ethiopian Jews. That were there, locked between, uh, a very hostile Muslim country, Sudan, and their very corrupt leadership of Ethiopia. They were caught in between. The Israeli intelligence, the Mossad, sent a team to bribe Sudanese officials into to prepare, and another team that had nothing to do with that, to prepare a certain area in the desert in Sudan where we are going to have C-130s landing and picking the Jewish people back to Israel. And, and not only that, we, we sent 747s. We emptied them from chairs and we packed them with a thousand people each. Yeah. In each plane. They took all the seats out of the 747s to get as many people in. It's TSA not approved. I mean, it's, and, uh, in fact, on one of the flights, they landed with more than they took off because women, yes, I remember. On the baby was born on the plane. Correct. Babies were born on the plane. So, when you hear about God bringing back the Jewish people from the four corners of the world, it's beyond what the Western mindset can comprehend. It's beyond that. There's no country on planet Earth that its secret service is in the business of gathering Jews from all corners of the world, bribing governments, preparing landing strips in order to bring them back to the land. So, this is unprecedented. It's so true.

And, you know, I, I mean this. I'm not saying this to be, uh, um, funny about it. I'm, I'm thankful for it. But for those of you who've been to Israel, and this is my, this is my plug for Israel. You go to Israel. It's, trust me, you'll never find greater food anywhere in the world. I can, and I can prove it. You want to know why? Because all the Jews who were born and raised in Italy, when they went back to Israel, they brought all the pasta. And all the, and then you walked to the next cafe, and all the Jews who were born in South America bring these amazing flavors. Point all around the world. They have the most amazing food. But listen, the most, as you mentioned, the most amazing physical characteristics, remarkable, and everything. Listen, the intelligence. Ah, listen. I'm going to mess this up, but I'll be really close. The overwhelming ethnic group of Nobel Prize winners are Jews. And since 2004, there have been 12 Nobel Prize winners being Jewish. Think of that in various areas. Think of it. Even in their time of captivity, you see, "Well, the Jews rule the world. They run all the businesses. They're in banking. They're in, they're in all these high-end things." Yes. Guess who did that to them? Well, God did. But in a strange way, when, because of their disobedience, God sends them into Egypt, right? What did the Egyptians have them do? All the hard work because they were slaves. Do, uh, figure out my crops. Who did that? The slave Jews. Uh, figure out how we do this. I'm getting to, you're going to know this in a moment. A light's going to come on. Figure this out, will you? We'll pay you to, I mean, uh, we'll keep you alive if you figure it out. So, they did all these things. They learned how to do construction. They learned how to cook. Listen, they learned how to do math. Joseph was one of those guys. Joseph knew it all. And when he came out, he taught it to all of his buddies. Every time a Jew goes into captivity, look, Schindler's List, Adolf Hitler happened again. When they're set free, they are infused into any nation's economy, and they cause it to explode because they're so smart, and they've been trained at the labor. God's brilliance, even in that.

And look, what they traded the Jews in Europe for. Think about it. There was an, an article of a Spanish journalist that looked at what the Muslims are doing in Europe right now, and he couldn't believe that they traded the Jews. They sent them to gas chambers. People who were productive, people who were polite, people, people who, who did something for the country. They sent those to the gas chambers. And in exchange, look what they got now. People that are non-productive, people that are actually imposing their religion on everybody else, and people that are very violent. And now police cannot go into so many different towns and cities all across Europe because it's too dangerous. And their, and their actual system of, of dealing with the West is overwhelming its social programs, overwhelming them, overwhelming wealth, overwhelming, uh, you know, things that, that we would not normally use unless in a time of crisis. But it's part of the system. It's amazing.

Listen, Jesus said, "You are either of your father above, or of Abraham. You're either children of Abraham, or you're children of the devil." Isn't that radical? Say, "Well, that's kind of harsh." Well, take, look, take it up with God. He said it. But I find it interesting that in Jerusalem, when the Jewish students are going down to pray, they go to the Wailing Wall, singing joyfully, singing, happy, smiling, and they pray. And then they, listen, they walk backwards with their face facing the wall in honor to God, singing, happy, joyous. And then there's the call to Islamic prayer, and what happens? The exact opposite of that. A turning away from that, uh, frankly graphically, it's the, you know, well, I won't say it, but body parts face it. It's just, they're crazy. It's crazy. Opposite worlds. And opposite gods, mind you. I know I'm stepping on John Kerry's toes right now by saying that. But listen, he forgot there's a separation of church and department of state. John Kerry said this week that, uh, "We worship the same God that Islam does." Oh, John Kerry. Now he's a theologian. Oh, he's an expert on the Bible. Listen, he's supposed to stay out of those things. He wants me to stay out of his business. He's supposed to stay out of my business. Listen, we do not worship the same God. Not the same God. But many, many of you, because listen, I get letters from you, and you stop me in the foyer, many of you have been told by your neighbors and friends and other Christians, "Oh, we worship the same God. It's all good." That is a bizarre way of thinking. That's almost like wishful thinking, or some twisted way of appeasement. "Oh, it's okay. It's all going to work out because we worship the same God." I guarantee you, our God gave His life for us. Okay? Their God demands their life of them. Big difference. Very, very much. Big difference.

Um, ah, listen, another word that is getting another title that's getting a very bad rap because again, people don't know, is this word, uh, Zionist, or Zionism. Are you a Zionist? I really like when people ask me that because I'm, I know what it means. So, I come right back and I say, "Absolutely. Aren't you?" Oh, because if you're not a Zionist, then you're not in touch with actual world history. You're not in touch with the Bible. If you're not a Zionist, you don't understand, uh, what God has done in the last 3,000 years, frankly. Uh, listen, I'm a Zionist because I believe in the promises of God. And you're saying, "Jack, kill, you're killing me. What is, what is a Zionist?" What is a Zionist? A Zionist is anyone who believes in the right of the Jewish people in the land of Israel. That's, that's, that's it. The term Zion, in Hebrew, originally it was the city of David, where it all started. Then the name moved to Mount Moriah. That's why we all sing about "Beautiful Situation" and about Mount Zion, which stands by the side of the north, north of the city of D, city of the great King. Later on, the name Zion, Zion became another name for Israel as an entire state and country and nation. And so, to be a Zionist is to believe that A, the Jews are entitled to a place for themselves. B, there's only one place. There's the historical homeland of the Jewish people, and that's Israel. Why do I say that? Believe it or not, but in the late 1800s, there was a plan to offer the Jews Uganda. Yes, the country. Uganda, the country of Uganda today, was offered as the land of the Jews to the Jewish people. Now, it was the Zionist movement, led by Benjamin Theodore Herzl, that rejected that and said, "If we're called Zionist, it's because we believe it's Zion. It should be in Israel." This is where we belong. And it's funny because, you know what? In the 1800s, to say that you want to go to Israel would be ridiculous. The land in those days was afflicted with malaria mosquitoes that brought the malaria, all those marshlands, all those hostile Arab, uh, uh, um, um, tribes around that. I mean, you would be nuts to leave beautiful Europe and go all the way to that part of the world. And that's exactly what, when I quoted this morning from Ezekiel 36, God brought in the very beginning the pioneers, the very few, to prepare the land so the mass return of the Jews, once the Holocaust is over and the gates of the land were open, will be possible. That's why He said, "And I speak to you, O mountains of Israel, shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My People Israel, for they are about to come." Listen. I got to interrupt. Mark Twain, when he visited the Holy Land, I don't remember, maybe if there's a historian in the house, you'll remember his exact statement, but basically, when Mark Twain saw it, he said, "This is the most godforsaken land ever. Nobody in their right mind would want this land." Well, guess what? Until May 14th, 1948, nobody did want it. Did you know that? No. Nobody really wanted it until the, the Jews had their state. And in fact, the next day, the Arab world attacked Israel. The next day, the nation is one day old, and it's attacked. Point is this, the areas, for example, and again, think of your Bible. The areas, some of the areas that I like to visit the most. I mean, this is going to sound terrible, and I don't want to offend any of our friends living in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is beautiful. Don't get the CNN version of Jerusalem. CNN thinks, CNN wants you to think cars are upside down, tires are burning, and rocks are flying across the street. No. Jerusalem is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. And real estate is off the charts. In fact, across the street from our hotel, hello. I said, across the street from our hotel was the, uh, grand opening. It's amazing. I said, across the street from our hotel. We didn't stay at the hotel. It's a, it's wonderful. But the areas that I love the most, I like to get out of Jerusalem and get up north to these areas that were absolutely wasteland. And why? Because Amir knows. He knows where to take me for dinner. There's a kibbutz, a farm in the Hula Valley. Yeah. Yep. The food is amazing. The land that it is sitting on used to be that swamp land, all reclaimed. It was, it laid in waste forever. The Jews got a hold of it. They planted eucalyptus trees, which suck water from the earth. Then they removed the trees, began to till the soil. And need I tell you, that fruit and vegetables come from that dirt now to supply Europe with its vegetables and fruit. That's exactly what Isaiah said would happen. It's a miracle. It's not like the Jews got California where gold was laying on the top of the ground and you could throw a pea into the ground, it would grow. They made it happen by the promises of God. It happened. And now it's a gem. An emerald gem in the middle of the, of the Middle East. So, now everybody wants it. Now everybody wants it. They really didn't want it before. In fact, we purchased. Jeremiah promised that fields will be purchased, deeds will be signed. We purchased back the land from Arabs who didn't want it anymore. Want it. Some of those, and they actually thought we were so stupid to buy, to pay money for for that marshland, for that swamp. Yet, we have, as I said, those, those pioneers were driven in with such an amazing spirit, knowing that it's for the next generation. And, um, this is exactly what happened. And today, we are enjoying the fruit of their obedience to the calling that I believe God called them to leave everything and to come. And when they first came, how, what is a kibbutz? Kibbutz is a communal community where people, as a group, came, got a piece of land, started farming the land, cultivating the land, and live off the fruit of the land. They were so low maintenance. They shared everything. They didn't need more than that. And that's how it all started. And, and, uh, kibbutzim were all around the country, more than two, 300 of them. And everybody around were astonished, were amazed. Look at them. They're doing great. Even now, most of the mortar attacks from Gaza is over kibbutzim that are all around. They're so angry that they're living in such horrible conditions over there, and just beyond the fence, look at the Jewish kibbutz. Look, it's all flourishing. It's all blooming. It's all, everything. I mean, they can't stand it.

And the funny thing is, when the Jews lived inside Gaza, that's exactly what we have there. We had greenhouses, and we were growing flowers to export them, and fruits and vegetables. And in fact, we left those greenhouses for the Palestinians. The World Bank offered money just to keep those intact so the Palestinians will have them, so they will have something to start from. It's all training camps for terrorists. You can go online, ladies and gentlemen. What he just said, you can go online and look at them.

Um, in Gaza, when Israel had control of Gaza, by the way, you ask, uh, the non-terrorist people of Gaza, ask them, is it better now having your own government or when the Israelis controlled Gaza? And they placed this place and you, when you lived here, they'll tell you right now, it was better when Israel was here. We lived in peace. It was calm. They had the greatest, most state-of-the-art, revolutionary greenhouses that Israel built in Gaza, taught them how to farm in Gaza and the West Bank. We've been through the West Bank, saw the same thing. Amazing. Look at it up online. When Israel left Gaza and they established their own government, they converted, you can see it online, they converted the greenhouses into terrorist, not only terrorist training camps on the inside, but they used it for tunnels to go into Israel to, uh, do terror runs. They didn't care if people started starving. Unbelievable. Yet, when did, when have, when of you heard that in the news? And you can, you can view it online.

You know, I want to, before we move on, uh, when you said what you said a moment ago, which I forgot what it was, you said, but I remember the word "vision." Ah, yes. Okay. When, when the Jews looked at this land, when the Arabs said, "What? Sure, we'll sell you this land. What a bunch of knuckleheads. Sure, we'll take your money. We'll sell you this dump." Look, you know what it looked like? A dump to the Arabs who sold the land to the Jews. Could care less. But to a Jew with vision, this is vision. Yes, over here, this is vision. This is vision. If you see the world through this, you have vision. And they didn't see the swamps. They didn't see this brackish, terrible waters. They saw fruit and wine and cattle. It's amazing. Look outside, outside of, uh, outside of Hawaii. I don't know any other place on Earth where you drive down the road and you drive by bananas and guava and grapes and what am I missing? Almonds, mangoes, and mangoes. Uh, listen, where is that in the world?

Israel, because they had vision. When we purchased the land, it was called land redemption. We redeemed the land from its unrightful owner back to its rightful owner. Although it was in bad shape, at least now it's in the rightful owner's hand. And the minute the land got to the rightful owner's hand, it responded immediately. Everything came back to life. How many times have we been? This is freakish. We were driving from Galilee North up to the Golan Heights, and we're heading up the, uh, you know, for us in California, it's not a mountain, but it's bigger than a hill. But at Golan Heights, it's a, it's a big deal. So we're driving up, it's beautiful. And all I, I, I'm thinking, I want to say every year, but I'm not sure, so I'll say almost every year, we will be going up. And you get to such an elevation, you'll see that valley that I told you about, the Hula Valley, and it's emerald green. And you keep looking North because now we're looking back towards the Mediterranean, and Lebanon is to the right of us, okay, in your mind's eye. And it's all green, all green. And then there's this funny line, like someone snapped the line, and it's all desert. And I asked him here years ago, "Well, how come you guys don't keep farming that way?" He goes, "Because that's Lebanon." At that line, I said, "Well, what's, what's the deal over there?" And I, last year we were there, I remember he said, years ago, he goes, "You know, it's not only interesting, we reclaim the land, we redeem the land, but you know," he said, "it's interesting, this side of the, of the property line, this side on Israel gets tons of rain. That side gets no rain." And the last time we were there, we were going up the mountain, and I looked, and I, I don't know if I brought it up to the tour group or not. I remember our conversation because I looked, and there was a rainbow. And you say, "No, no, I don't believe it. I don't believe it." You need to go to Israel and see it. God is be, he has been preparing his land. And you know, we'll talk about present, uh, and future things tomorrow. But, um, you see, ISIS and all these guys running around freaking out, "Death to Israel! Death to America! Destroy Israel! Remove it from the face of the Earth!" Listen, they're not going to make it. They're not going to succeed because, uh, they think they're trying to beat up the Jew, but they're going after the God of the Jews. And you don't ever mess with him. I mean, he knows how to deal with stuff like that.

Exactly. Now, don't get the wrong idea. Not all the countries around us are dead countries. That have peace with Israel flourish. Good point. In fact, when you see Lebanon, that area, and Syria, those two areas that are so much against us, everything is dead. "I will bless he will bless you. I will curse the one that curses you." And then when you drive along the Jordan Valley and you look on the other side, on the Jordanian side, it's all green, beautiful. God, ever since they signed the peace treaty with Israel, God blessed them so much. Ah, but wait, air, wait. Any skeptics in the house? Why would, why would God, uh, bless Jordan? What's the deal with that? How come I'm going with this point? Okay, you can tell we're making this up on the flight. Where is Jordan? What's Jordan's relationship to Israel in the tribulation period, says the Bible? Anybody know? Correct. They're kind to Israel, aren't they? Yes. God is even preparing Jordan. Yes. I, I remember. I think I were you going to say that or did I? No, no. It's, it's good that you, you said that. I remember I was in Germany at, at Edmunds and Martha's, uh, uh, church, and I spoke there. And there was a, suddenly at the end of the service, a guy stood up and says, "You are my brother." And I knew immediately that there's a for $1 for $1. Yes, there's an accent there. That, but then apparently, he's a Jordanian Christian. And he says, "We are preparing a place for you." Oh, really? Yes. I was, I was shocked. And he says, "We know what the scriptures are saying. We are already working on a place for you." I said, "Well, thank you. I'm not planning on being there. I mean, tribulation is not for me, but thank you." But just so you know, that understanding amongst the Jordanian Christians that, that Jordan will play an important role in the end times, it's already there.

Do you remember, uh, the Hushways? Of course, I remember that. I remember we were in, uh, in Jordan. This is forever ago. And, uh, I was speaking to his son, Albert. Albert. And I said, "Albert, what's the deal with you guys and Israel?" And he goes, "The deal? The deal is this: we leave Israel alone. That's the deal." No, really? He said, "We leave Israel alone. That's the deal." And I go, "What do you mean?" He said, "You don't mess with Israel. We learned that a long time ago. You don't mess with Israel." The Jordanians said this. Now, I found out later, Hashway, he's a, he's a believer. He loves the Lord. And, but it was interesting because, uh, you have Jordan in the Bible. The Bible prophesies, prophesies that Jordan will be in favor with Israel and will be a rescue, a sanctuary. I think the name in the Old Testament is Sela. Yes, for Sa, not with the H on the end, but with just a C, means a rock. And that's why Petra came to the understanding that it could be the refuge place.

And you mentioned today, very well. And by the way, we have some wonderful Egyptian Christians who attend this church. They're elated of what's going on in, in Egypt. Did I say that right? Did I, did I say Egyptian believers? Yes. Okay. They're elated with what's happened in politics recently in Egypt because of the change. Morsi's out. And, uh, they're, they're very excited because right now, Egypt is acting favorably towards Israel. Where is Egypt in the tribulation period? Not against Israel, isn't that interesting? In fact, if we know our Bible prophecy correctly, the Book of Daniel tells us that the Antichrist will enter into the glorious land, Israel, but he will hear evil tidings of war coming against him. And if, when you read that through, you will hear that it appears that Egypt or a war, a contingency from the south, uh, will trouble him. It says, point being, Egypt. And you said it today in Isaiah, you were talking about Isaiah 50, Isaiah 18 and 19. There is going to be a day that Egypt and the land of Assyria will be a blessing to the Lord. And God says, Israel, Assyria, and Egypt will be as one, and they'll be the highway together that links them. Amazing. Yeah.

Uh, what about, uh, the night is still young. The night, the night is young. Uh, what about, okay, so against all odds, Israel is in the land. It's not, listen, God says, "Once I bring them back, they'll never again be uprooted." Now, let's be honest, Israel's got horrific days ahead. You understand that. The tri, the, the, uh, Holocaust, Holocaust periods. I, I like to say Holocaust plural because there's been more than just the one under Hitler. There's been others in history. But the time coming, Jesus said, for the Jewish people will be so bad, it will be so bad that unless he intervenes, there will be no flesh left on earth. And the Jews will be driven almost to extinction during the tribulation period because of unbelief, mind you. But God will save a remnant. Right. One-third. So, against all odds, and again, if you're a skeptic in the house, you've got to, and if I were you, I wouldn't go to sleep tonight until you get this answer. It's that serious. You have to explain away the existence of Israel and the Jew in light of the Bible. How can you do this? Try. But against all odds, the Jew is, and Israel is. So people will say, "Certain ethnic groups of various parts of the world will say, 'We have suffered the the ultimate, you know, um, what's the word? Not segregation, but ethnic, what's the word? Racism.' Racism. But no one has suffered racism, if we're going to use the term like Jews. No one. No one's come close in the whole history of man. No one." So having said that, um, I would like you to, in fact, I'm going to set you up for this. I want you to feel free to talk to us about the wars of Israel because every war of Israel that's ever been has been against all odds, correct? Talk to us. Take, take your time. Tell us.

First of all, Israel doesn't have the luxury of even losing in one war. Once we lost, we're not there. So the fact that we're still there means that although the Arabs can celebrate their victory every year, they lost every war. I don't know if you know that. But even Hamas declared victory. Yeah, they did. They did. I mean, so, and I'm not saying that because we're so great. In fact, if you investigate the history of the wars of Israel, you'll find out that it's not only against all odds, it's against almost every decision that was made by the Israeli Central Command. Yet, we managed to make it. It all started with, uh, in 1947, when we're talking about the, uh, the plan of the United Nations, the unnecessary, yes, the unnecessary, which we pay for. They're, yes, you, oh, you pay for it. They all, um, the plan was to basically divide the land. But you must understand that, um, it all goes back to the Sykes-Picot Agreement that we talked about this morning between, uh, the French and the Brits, where the Brits had the control over Palestine of those days. Now, bear in mind, Palestine of those days is both Israel and Jordan of today. In 1922, uh, Churchill, which was the Minister of Colonies at that time, gave two-thirds of Palestine exclusively to the Arabs. Jews were not allowed there. And that was what was called Transjordan, beyond the Jordan River. All that area which is now the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. That was not the problem. The problem was when the Brits, after they have so beautifully declared the rights of the Jews over the land of Israel in the Balfour Declaration, suddenly they smell the smell of oil and money from the Arab world, and they shifted their foreign policy towards favoring the Arabs. And, by the way, once they started doing that, that was the beginning of the great decline of the British Empire. Interesting thing is that, uh, after 30 years, from 1918 to 1948, the British army decided, "Enough is enough. We can't find any solution to the problem between the Jews and the Arabs. We're out of here." Now, this is the first time in the history of the Middle East that a foreign nation that controls the area voluntarily is lowering its flags and is leaving that area. Now, nobody really truly believed they're going to do that, but they did. It was, uh, May 14, 1948, when the Union flag were lowered, and they packed everything, and they were on time as British. And, uh, we were perplexed at what we were watching. And, and we had no time. What are we going to do now? We had two options. First option is just do nothing and suffer a great war. The other option is to declare statehood and suffer a great war. So, what are you going to do? We gathered all the people, all the leaders of the Jews in Tel Aviv, in the museum in Tel Aviv, and we started writing the Declaration of Independence in different papers. We sewed it together, the different parts. And David Ben-Gurion, on May 14, 1948, is standing and declaring the establishment of the State of Israel. You said after one day? It's actually a few hours later, less than a few hours later, that the five Arab armies invaded into Israel. Five Arab armies, heavily equipped and with state-of-the-art weapons of those days. And what did the Jews have at that time? We had five armored vehicles and two aircrafts that you need to use one hand for the handle and the other hand to throw the bomb. And what are the chances that we can actually do something and maybe even survive? Well, the greatest thing was that, not only that we survived, but we managed to end up the war almost a year later with 30% more land that was originally offered to us in 1947, and the Arabs rejected. And now, the, the 1949, we're signing the truce agreement in, in Rhodes, on the island of Rhodes. And now the Arabs are saying, "Okay, now when is the next time we can do something? Because we have to bring an end to these Jewish people."

And then 1956, the Egyptians are invading from Sinai, and Israel goes and takes the entire peninsula of Sinai. That's when the UN intervenes. And the UN says, "Wait a minute. Jewish people not allowed to go into Sinai. That's not good. That's too big for you as a country. Now, why don't you go back to your country? We will stand as a buffer." The UN, you know what happened right now? The UN soldiers ran into Israel. Uh, they were attacked by terrorists in Syria. And instead of keeping the peace there, they ran into Israel. And so there was a, there's a cartoon asking the Israeli soldiers are asking, "Are these running to get our help, or they're coming to investigate us?" Because all we are used to with the UN, they always investigate us. Suddenly, we are so good that they're running towards us. The good thing is that they thought that there would be a great buffer between us and the Egyptians. Guess what? 1967 comes. And Gamal Abdel Nasser, the very legendary president of Egypt, understands that his government is in a great problem. It suffers from, uh, horrible defeats in different places around, in Yemen and other places. And if there is one thing he knows that you can unite the Arab world around is the destruction of Israel. He called upon the neighbors around to come and sign a pact with him. And Israel realized that if we're not going to do something, there is a major strike that is planned by the Egyptian, Syrian, and the Jordanians combined. We decided on a, what we call a preemptive strike. In the morning of, uh, June 5th, 1967, Israel sent two-thirds of its existing aircraft, of its Air Force, to destroy on the ground all the Air Force of Egypt within 20 minutes. Between 8 and 8:20. Tell them why? Because this is the time there's change of shifts in the control towers. And you and I know that when you change shifts, the first 20 minutes of your shift is absolutely useless because you're talking about American Idol. Just, you don't really, you don't really talk, you don't really work. So, um, we realized this is the right time to attack. We destroy them on the ground. And the funny thing is that Nasser was calling Hussein, King Hussein, and telling him, "I'm almost reaching Tel Aviv." Yeah, while we were almost reaching Cairo. And King Hussein thought, "Whoa, wow, great, great." So he started also shooting. And then the Syrians started. And it took us six days to quadruple our territory. No country ever in the history of planet Earth quadrupled its territory within six days. Not even in the Bible times. And of course, the world hates us now. Not that they loved us before, but now they hate us four times more.

But wait, you got all the land, but then you gave us so much of it back. Well, that's the thing. And we, we got, we took over Sinai, we took over the Golan Heights, we took over, um, Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. And of course, Jerusalem's Old City finally was in our hands. And, and now our generals are like peacocks. I mean, they really are very proud and arrogant, thinking that it's not God who fought for us, we did it. And I want to tell you something, when you steal the glory from God, you better know that you'll hear back from him. Yep. It didn't take too long until the Arabs decided, we, by the way, they mark it as a victory. And then 1973 came. 1973, on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, the Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement, it was October 8, 1973. Uh, the Egyptians and the Syrians launched a massive attack. 600,000 Egyptian soldiers crossing the Suez Canal with airplanes, with tanks, with, I mean, the amount of ammunition and and and weapons and soldiers equal to all the soldiers of NATO in those days at that time. Not to mention the 1500 tanks from the, uh, Syrian side that rolled towards the Golan Heights, where we only had about 140 on our side. To make the long story short, Israel was on the verge of annihilation. They, they carefully chose the Day of Atonement because this is the only day even a non-observant Jew will somehow respect. And we don't eat, we don't drink, we go to synagogue, or we stay home. And they chose noon time, following morning, which means that's when you're the weakest, and that's when they strike. Now, how do you even let your people know that the war started when nobody listens to radio? Everybody's in the synagogue. This is a holy day. You have to tell the young people here tonight. They did not have cell phones. No cell phones. No Twitter. No Facebook. No Facebook. And not only that, you have to understand, if you go to Israel on Yom Kippur, you think that the Rapture took place. Not even a single car on the freeways. Nothing. You can actually have a sleeping bag and sleep on the freeway. It's dead. It's, it's unbelievable. It's, it's a bizarre. I mean, you can actually film a movie on the Rapture during that. I mean, the streets are empty. I mean, the freeways. And the interesting thing is that, uh, we, we, how do we let people know that a war started? So we sent few C-130s flying low above the city. We send several F-4s to have sonic booms. And people understood something is going on. Everybody ran to his house, turned on the radio, and they heard their password of their unit. And immediately people ran, as they are, with their holiday clothing, into their cars, started the engine, drove to their military unit, hop into the tank, started the engine, and started rolling. You understand, we lost some very, very important few hours here. The Egypt, the Egyptians are taking almost most of the southern part of Sinai. The, um, Syrians already took most of the Golan Heights. And, um, Israel realized this is not turning into a good thing. The Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir, picked up the phone and calls President Nixon. MH. A president that was born not far away from here, in Yorba Linda, and he's buried over there as well. A president that he's so, unfortunately, it's such a trendy thing to hate. However, he did an amazing thing. Yes, he did. President Nixon picked up the phone at 3:00 AM. And the Prime Minister of Israel told him, "Mr. Nixon, Mr. President, America is not going to help Israel in the next 24 hours. We will not survive." President Nixon told Golda Meir, "That time, Golda, when I was a kid, my mom used to tell me Bible stories. Listen, parents, listen to this. And one day, while my mom was telling me a Bible story about how it was important to help the Jewish people, she stopped and she said, 'Richard, I want you to promise me that if you ever get to a position where you can help save the Jewish people, you will do so.' And then she went on and continued her Bible story." It was registered in Richard Nixon's mind. And then he said to Golda Meir, "Golda, probably for the first time since I became president, I understand why I became president of the United States." Absolutely amazing. Those were the good days. Those were the days the president quoted Bible. And he hung up the phone and he called the State Department, who was absolutely outraged by the even suggestion to help Israel. Then he called the Pentagon. And the largest airlift of armaments since World War II took place in the next 48 hours. Every possible airplane or spare part or whatever in the nearby American airfields was, I know some Filipinos that when I spoke about it in the Philippines, they came to me at the end of the service and says, "Now we understand why we had to paint all the American aircraft in Israeli Air Force colors." Painting, yes. Painted them. And so Israel, with the help of America, managed not only to survive but to push the Egyptians and the Syrians back to the point that they didn't take even a square inch. Now, every year in Egypt, they mark the defeat of Israel in the October War. Yet, they never took a square inch. But the thing is this, then that was the first war when the Israelis understood the supernatural, MH, um, dimension of their struggle of being here in the land. And since then, by the way, on almost every war, we have reports that are now open, it's no longer a secret of miracles after miracles that took place throughout those wars. Even now, in the last Gaza operation, soldiers were amazed at miracles that took place. Time after time after time.

There is a situation, maybe you can, of course, you can tell it better. Mines? No, the tank. The guy that was, this is, you could, I actually learned first learned of this on the History Channel. I don't endorse the History Channel, but they got this part right. And Amir, probably, I'm guessing you might know the story. Good. During the battle, there was a massive tank invasion from Syria. And there was an Israeli tank. And, uh, has something to do with the back, the taillights. Remember this. And he saw that he was going to be completely destroyed. It was like one tank and 200 Syrian Russian-made tanks. Brand new T-72s. So he knew his life was over. So he's going to go out, you know, like any warrior would, not going to give up. They'll kill you. So he's going to go for it. Well, pick up the story because it is a, we switched off the lights. And now any light around is Syrian taillight, taillight, front tanks. And he started destroying them one after the other. And they could not see him. And he was in a hole. And so he would come up, shoot, come down. He, he would go like this. He would come up and boom, boom, boom, boom, blow up some lights. He'd point to the lights, back down. What am I going to do? Turn the tank around. Pull up over here. Boom, boom, boom. Wow. I just blew up three more. He went like this all night long. And the Syrians thought that there was a whole lot of Israeli tanks. "Retreat, retreat! There's a whole bunch of tanks!" They turned around and left. Real story. In the History Channel. Yeah.

And another note, there was another infantry brigade that was caught in the middle of a minefield. And that was a, that was a bad thing to find yourself when the sun comes up, still in the minefield, when the Syrians are seeing you. And they didn't know what to do. And they started cleaning it with those little daggers. But they realized, "We won't be able to move even 10 yards by the end of this night." And suddenly, out of the blue, a gust of wind, that in strength unknown to anyone, started. They all ducked. And it was about 10, 20 minutes of strong, strong, strong wind. Almost blew them away. And then it all stopped. And everything cleared. And when they stood up, all the mines were exposed. And they just walked. And there was an angel over in the corner going. And they walked through and just left the area. And stories after stories after stories.

And after '73 came the 1982 war in Lebanon. After that came the '91 War. Um, and after that came the 2000 Intifada. And after that came the 2005-6 war in Lebanon. And after that, the 2009 operation. After that, 2011 and 2014. And you can clearly see that there is some sort of a thread here. Somebody doesn't want us there. And we're still there. It drives them crazy. And make no mistake, if we really wanted, we could have destroyed Gaza within 20 minutes. Israel has no intention. That's right. To destroy the Palestinians. They call themselves Palestinians. We have no intention to destroy anyone. If you want to live in peace with me, then we're fine. But if you want to destroy me or live instead of me, then you have a problem. Cuz I ain't going anywhere. As Amos chapter 9 says, "He will bring us back to the land and he will never ever pull us out of this land again." Amen.

Yeah, you guys, I don't know if this is possible, but you guys back in the, in the tech room area, I'm wondering if this is possible. If not, we can do it tomorrow. Sean, is that you back there? Is there any way before we end this tonight that we could show again? Do you remember that clip we showed when Dennis Prager was here? Um, I think one of them was entitled "The Israel Test." It's on YouTube. And the other one is called "Dennis Prager Israel Problem." The Israel Problem, Dennis Prager. If we can get those, that'd be kind of cool because it goes along with what Amir's talking about. Uh, because I don't want to, we're down to the last half hour and I don't want to get into another topic. This is really good. We need to stay on this, I think, and end it. It will set us up for tomorrow night. Uh, but we want to talk about tomorrow night. We want to talk about the future of the church in Israel. Against all these odds, you heard him, RL, these wars, because he's Israeli, he's from there. When was the last time any of us were involved in a war? When was the last time you had to go into a bomb shelter? Do you build any contractors in here tonight? Building homes? Do you ever build bomb shelters in the houses that you build here? Maybe you should start. The way things are going in Mexico, because I think that is our Gaza coming. Uh, but point being is, they live with this invasion, with this, uh, threat all the time. His home. I've been in his bomb shelter. It's beautiful. Why do they make it so? It's my, it's one of the children's rooms. It's, uh, it's a nice place. You know, every house since '91, since the Gulf War, the building code in Israel requires every house to have what we call a security room where these are very thick concrete walls. And yes. So my question is, why, why is that the building code in Israel? Why do you know that there's, in the last, well, during 50 days of these wars of battle recently, did you know that there's, I think 3,700 rockets launched against Israel? You remember how this whole thing started? Because your kids, how many of you kids in college, raise your hands? The stuff that your kids are being told by their professors is absolutely trash. Who started the war? Well, your professor is telling your kids that Israel started it. No, they didn't. It's always this case. Now, look, you said something and you just said it right out because it's normal thinking. Up until this presidency, it was normal thinking for us too. And I don't know, every, I would think, I hope every man, and I'm not being, um, racist, what's the word, sexist, macho, what's the thing? I'm not being sexist. Is that the right word? I'm not saying women don't know this. I'm just saying every man knows who's gone up to like the sixth grade. If you hear that Johnny wants to beat you up, you go and you deal with Johnny. Guys, you know what I'm talking about? It's just the way life is. Hey, I heard Johnny, Johnny wants to beat you up. Are you going to wait until Johnny beats you up, or you going to go find opportunity to take it to Johnny first? You take it to Johnny first. Why? Because intel, intel came to you from Susie with the pigtails, you know, or whatever. Johnny wants to beat you up. Well, now you have an imminent threat. You have an imminent threat. You can't be in peace knowing this. So maybe diplomacy. You say, "Johnny, I heard you want to beat me up." If Johnny says, "Oh, that's absolute nuts. Susie said that. She's crazy." Forget about it. Okay, then if Johnny says, "Yeah, what of it?" Now you have something on your hands here. Are you with me? Every nation in the world has known this, that when you find out you have an enemy who's planning to kill you, you respond and destroy him on his soil before he ever gets out of his house or his laboratory. Every nation has done this in the history, history of man, because you want to fight your enemy who wants to kill you on his soil, not your backyard. If you fight your enemy in your backyard, you've already lost. It's too late. Are you with me? We're being taught the opposite now. In this term, tolerance. It's sick. It's insane. And so here's, here's the thing. I saw it tonight on the news before I came. The new series was playing a clip. You can go watch it for yourself. Our president recently said, "ISIS is not." Listen, ISIS is not a threat to the United States. Wait. He said, "It's not a threat to the United States. It's a threat to those in the region and the world." It's a. Are there any doctors in the house tonight? That kind of thinking needs investigation. When they publish videos and say, "Please, did you know they're saying this?" You guys, you know how Obama's saying, "No, no boots on the ground tonight." On the news this week, the generals are saying, "We have to put boots on the ground." Watch now. We have a problem. We have a big, big problem in Washington D.C. But did you know when you get into these websites, which I don't encourage you to go to unless you have a very strong stomach, do you know what ISIS is saying? ISIS is saying, "Please, America, please, please put your boots on the ground. Send us your Marines. We are waiting. We can't wait to have Delta and Rangers. Send them to us. We will hand them back to you without heads. We did it before. We're going to do it again. Please send them." They're taunting us. They're taunting us. Why? You said it this morning, knowing we will do nothing. But now we have a. Look, I've been, I've been alive, uh, I'm almost 57 years in my life. I have never seen the weakness of this nation. And, and here's the tragedy. If Johnny thinks that now that you know that he had a plan, it's in, now it's in his head, he most often backs down because he's lost the element of surprise. America, we have lost our leadership. Anyway, we've, we've lost that. We have no, there's no military concept in the White House. And so the world smells it. You said it this morning. Listen, I was on vacation recently and I ran into a coral reef, and it hurt. I have, it hurts my knee. Still hurts. And then as I'm snorkeling around, I realized, man, that's not feeling any better. And I looked behind me, and I was just leaving a trail of blood in the water. And I thought, "It'd be a good time to get out of the water." Now, when you smell weakness, it encourages you to act. And so this weakness is emboldening enemies that we never knew we had. Don't think for a moment that this propaganda, that America has created these terrorist groups, that's impossible. This is a very critical time. Very, very, very serious time.

Do you guys happen to have that clip or no? Yeah, you got it. Now, but as, as you get ready to queue it up, uh, how many of you were here for the "Night of Defense"? Oh, shoot. Put your hands down. How many of you were not here for the "Defense of Israel Night with America"? Okay, good. Uh, good. You just helped me out. Uh, can you guys, uh, Sean, which one are we going to show? Prager or the Israel Test? Prager. Okay. You want to dim the lights? You want to show this?

Well, these guys are great in the tech room, aren't they? When I did my graduate studies at the Middle East Institute at Columbia University's School of International Affairs, I took many courses on the question of the Middle East conflict. Semester after semester, we studied the Middle East conflict as if it was the most complex conflict in the world. When in fact, it is probably the easiest conflict in the world to explain. It may be the hardest to solve, but it is the easiest to explain. In a nutshell, it's this: one side wants the other side dead. Israel wants to exist as a Jewish state and to live in peace. Israel also recognizes the right of Palestinians to have their own state and to live in peace. The problem, however, is that most Palestinians and many other Muslims and Arabs do not recognize the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist. This has been true since 1947, when the United Nations voted to divide the land called Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jews accepted the United Nations partition, but no Arab or any other Muslim country accepted it. When British rule ended on May 15th, 1948, the armies of all the neighboring Arab states, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Transjordan, Jordan, and Egypt, attacked the one-day-old state of Israel in order to destroy it. But to the world's surprise, the little Jewish state survived. Then it happened again in 1967. The dictator of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, announced his plan, in his words, to destroy Israel. He placed Egyptian troops on Israel's border, and armies of surrounding Arab countries were also mobilized to attack. However, Israel preemptively attacked Egypt and Syria. Israel did not attack Jordan and begged Jordan's King not to join the war, but he did. And only because of that did Israel take control of Jordanian land, specifically the West Bank of the Jordan River. Shortly after the war, the Arab states went to Khartoum, Sudan, and announced their famous three "no's": no recognition, no peace, and no negotiations. What was Israel supposed to do? Well, one thing Israel did a little more than a decade later, in 1978, was to give the entire Sinai Peninsula, an area of land bigger than Israel itself, and with oil, back to Egypt because Egypt, under new leadership, signed a peace agreement with Israel. So Israel gave land for the promise of peace with Egypt, and it has always been willing to do the same thing with the Palestinians. All the Palestinians have ever had to do is recognize Israel as a Jewish state and promise to live in peace with it. But when Israel has proposed trading land for peace, as it did in 2000, when it agreed to give the Palestinians a sovereign state in more than 95% of the West Bank and all of Gaza, the Palestinian leadership rejected the offer and instead responded by sending waves of suicide terrorists into Israel. Meanwhile, Palestinian radio, television, and school curricula remain filled with glorification of terrorists, demonization of Jews, and the daily repeated message that Israel should cease to exist. So it's not hard to explain the Middle East dispute. One side wants the other dead. The motto of Hamas, the Palestinian rulers of Gaza, is: "We love death as much as the Jews love life." There are 22 Arab states in the world, stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean. There is one Jewish state in the world, and it is about the size of New Jersey. In fact, tiny El Salvador is larger than Israel. Finally, think about these two questions: If tomorrow Israel laid down its arms and announced, "We will fight no more," what would happen? And if the Arab countries around Israel laid down their arms and announced, "We will fight no more," what would happen? In the first case, there would be an immediate destruction of the state of Israel and mass murder of its Jewish population. In the second case, there would be peace the next day. As I said at the outset, it is a simple problem to describe. One side wants the other dead. And if it didn't, there would be peace. Please remember this: there has never been a state in the geographic area known as Palestine that was not Jewish. Israel is the third Jewish state to exist in that area. There was never an Arab state, never a Palestinian state, never a Muslim or any other state. That's the issue. Why can't the one Jewish state, the size of El Salvador, be allowed to exist? That is the Middle East problem. I'm Dennis Prager.

Good stuff, huh? That's so, so simple, so clear. So you guys, um, tomorrow night, we'll gather. We'll start right on time at 7 o'clock. And, um, uh, his channel will stream it. Uh, I, we're, I think we're streaming it. If you can't make it, I hope you do come though. It's a good display of, of, uh, unity and all. But, um, we'll take, we'll pick up from the present. We'll talk about what's going on now in the world tomorrow and where we're going, all based upon, uh, the vision, right, of God's word. And so, we have time for one question. We have time for one question. Anybody have a question? We don't need to bring at the microphones because, and listen, I want a question, not a statement, okay? We want a question, not a comment. Everything that was said tonight, how does that fit in with what the Bible says? Everything said tonight, how does it fit into what the Bible says? Come back tomorrow.

Um, the Bible tells us that Israel will be brought back into the land at the same time that all of its neighbors are against it. The world, the Bible says, will be rising up against Israel increasingly so until Jerusalem becomes a burdensome stone to the gathering nations around it. And God says it's going to be a bad deal for those nations because, what, what will they do? They will attempt to take the children of Israel into captivity, and they will seek to divide up the land. God says, by the way, he will bring one of the punishments, uh, regarding the, the, uh, judgment in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. Remember, Christ returns in the second coming, and he's going to judge the nations from Jerusalem. And they're going to be gathered together in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And one of the things that the Bible says is his case against the world is that you have divided up my city, you have divided up my land, and you have mistreated my brethren. Think of that. So that's just one. This is one brief reporter's opinion on how what we've heard tonight is in line with Bible prophecy.

Do you want to answer that? No, I think, no, it's a wonderful answer. I just want to add that that which, uh, uh, we know that the, the prophecy that you talk about is also parallel to the, the thing that Jesus talked about with the sheep and the goats. That's right. Because at the same, this is exactly the same description of all the nations of the world that will come, come together. And then this is where God will enter into judgment with them. I'm glad he brought that up. You know, Matthew 25, you guys, a lot of people misunderstand that. They think it's the judgment of Christ from the believers and non-believers. Has nothing to do with that. It's Jesus judging the nations at the end of the seven-year tribulation period when he returns. He will separate them like a shepherd separates sheep from the goats. And do you know what the qualifying criteria for those people to live into the Millennium is? How they treated the Jews during the tribulation period. Isn't that amazing? Those who punish or reject or persecute the Jews, they're taken away to judgment. And he takes it personally. He says, "It's as if you did it to me." Amazing, huh?

And so, we'll end with this. It's, it's hard for many people. I know it was hard for me. When first time I went to Israel, I was shocked to meet Jewish people who don't believe in God. I couldn't, I wasn't prepared for that. What do you mean you don't believe in God? Are you, are you Jewish? Yes, I'm Jewish. But you have to believe in God. I don't believe in God. Watch. I don't believe in God. Why do you not believe in God? Where was he in the Holocaust? Oh, so it's not that you don't believe in God, you don't like the way he's running the universe. How can you be angry at somebody who doesn't exist? The guy said, "You must be Jewish." When I said that. But listen, if you meet a Jew today who says, "I don't believe in God," look, look what's happened to us. Hey, don't blame God. Moses told you in Deuteronomy. God says, "I will protect you. I will bless you. I will watch over you. I will put the fear of me, of you, in the hearts of all the surrounding nations if you follow me." "I'll protect you. But if you turn on me, I, I'll re, I'll, you know, what's the word? I will back off, and you'll be left to your own, and you'll be driven to the ends of the earth." Look, the Holocaust, throughout history, that Israel has suffered, has always been because Israel rejected God. Same with the Book of Judges. The sad thing for us is, no other nation in the history of mankind, no other nation had a biblical beginning outside of Israel, except the one you're sitting in right now. And we have told God, "Get out." And he has gotten out. That's why our military exploits cannot succeed. The United States of America has not won a war since World War II. We have gone from one blunder to the next. We can't seemingly do anything right. In our economics, in our culture, our culture's fallen apart. So what do we do? We eject the Ten Commandments from our culture. We tell God to stay out of court. And so we are a nation of

Drift, who's turned its back on God. The only hope for America is not in Sacramento. We already know that. The only hope for America is not in the White House. I'm not saying don't vote. I'm saying do vote. But the only hope for America, if, if there's any hope at all, it's if the Christians of America will repent of their sin and seek the Lord.

I believe the reason why we are in the condition we're in, and I believe, look, I'm not a Republican or a Democrat. I'm a monarchist. I believe the reason why we have the leadership in this, the, the lack of leadership that we have in this nation right now, is because this is what we wanted. Make no mistake about it. This is what we wanted. It's no different than what Israel got with Saul. We wanted a rock star to change things. Israel wanted a king that looked like all the other kings of the nations. We wanted change instead of the church wanting repentance. And from September 11th, 2001, we have rejected systematically the God of the Bible, one moment after the next, until we are here tonight in the condition that we're in because the Christians have ignored consulting God.

The only hope for this country is if Christians will rend their hearts and be sick of their pornography, sick of broken marriages, sick of child abuse, sick of drunkenness, love God more than their cocaine, and repent. And I might add, we'll get into it tomorrow, Christians will, would, would get out of carnal, uh, apathetic churches and dust the feet, dust the dirt off their feet and go to Bible-teaching churches. Listen, America's only hope is for the Christian to come back to their God. Is it going to happen? Look, I doubt it. Do I hope it? God revives us. I do hope, but I doubt that it will happen. And yet, God, we learn from Nineveh, reserves the right to, to press the judgment call on pause and remember Nineveh. I think it was 40 or 50 years later, remember, he spared that generation. 40 or 50 years later, judgment came to Nineveh because there was no repentance. And we must repent.

Pastors need to stop trying to run for some popularity contest. We need, we need Christians at home to do church. Sunday and Wednesday should be a vitamin B shot, not your sustenance. It should happen in your home every day. And you're, and if it's not, you're playing games. If you're, if it's not, if you don't have a daily regimen of Bible consumption, the, listen, the chariots are going to come, the Jordan's going to overflow. It's coming. Our only hope is a trumpet blast. I pray, pray even tonight.

But all, even all of this is very good news. The state of the church in America and in the world, it's actually good news. Why? Because Jesus said before he comes back, right? Make sure you don't run out of oil. Keep your lamps burning. Um, there'll be, you know, I'll come for those who are watching and waiting. And one of the indicators is that there will be those in a religious setting who will say, "Where's the promise of the fall? Father, where's the promise of his return? Everything continues like it has." Listen, this is a great time. This is a great time for you to dive into your Bible and get right because here we are talking about Israel, Russia. Tomorrow we'll talk about Russia, the enemies of Israel, wars, all of these things existing, global economic peril, pestilence, rising earthquakes. She pointed out this morning, like never before in the world. How many, how many more mornings do we need to see? Oh, the church needs to be so alive right now. Your neighbors on your street, they're terrified. They don't look like it. They're terrified. They're pulling up to their car, to their houses, in their Mercedes-Benz. They got their diamonds on their ring. They would give it all up for some hope. They're scared and they don't know what to do. They don't know what to do.

And I believe that God, in his amazing grace, because look, if he can, if he can paint a snowflake unique from all others, I think the people that on your street where you live, I think he knows that too. I think you, as a Christian, were placed on the street that you live to be a watchman on the wall for your street, to tell your neighbors the gospel. Yes, give them the chance to say no to Jesus. You'll never save them. You can't. But give them the chance to say yes or no. These are critical days. We need to sleep with our, sleep with our own husbands or our own wives. We need to love our kids to the gospel. We need to give up the things that weaken us. Yes, repent greatly. The hour, the hour is coming. Jesus said, "Do the works of God now, because night is soon coming when no man can work."

Air. Final word. A final word is this. Tell them about Behold Israel, what's happening, and the app that they can get. We are, as you know, about a year, a year ago, I started the app. That now, but now 30,000 people downloaded it around the world. And, um, it's growing bigger and bigger. And people from at least 40 different countries are receiving daily news from Israel, and they, they understand what's going on. And in my own, uh, in my own blog, you can also see my interpretation of things that are happening in the Middle East, which is very interesting because it comes from a biblical perspective. We also, uh, the teaching ministry is growing. I'm, I'm about to leave now and go to Asia. To, uh, the day after tomorrow, I'm speaking to 1500 pastors in Manila, Philippines. I'm going to, Manny Pacquiao, the the boxer. I will be dedicating his little boy, who he named him Israel. And I will be doing the, uh, dedication. Amir has become, uh, you know, Manny Pacquiao, the boxer, Amir has become his, uh, rabbi, his teacher. Isn't that great? And from there, I'm flying to Singapore to teach more pastors over there. So the Lord is really blessing. And we filed for, uh, California nonprofit and 501(c)(3), whatever. And yes, I, and so, uh, the Lord is blessing. And and we just want more and more and more people to to get the news, to to spread the word that, and the name Behold Israel is just, look at Israel and see what's going on there, and then you understand what is going on around the world. Understand the times and the seasons. That's what we need to. According to 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, it should not take us by surprise. It will not be as a thief in the night to those that of the day, right? So then, this is what it's all about.
