The 12 best men's fragrances ever made. If you own any of these 12 fragrances, you own some of the highest rated men's fragrances of all time.
Now, how did I come to this conclusion? You guys. You guys decided the list that I'm about to go with. So, if this list is bad, you can't blame me. I'm out of discussion for blame this time around. It's you guys to blame if this list sucks.
Now, how did I do this? Well, I I put up a post on my community tab on YouTube with the following sentence. What is the best men's fragrance ever made? Top comment or most liked comment will be featured in an upcoming video with a photo of my handsome mug.
Of course, I got to say these results were very, very interesting. But how can you disagree with a consensus of majority of people ruling in a direction? Like the results here are pretty obvious. This is just a fun video guys before you type out a angry comment at some of the places. Come on, let's have a little fun. These are according to you guys what are the best men's fragrances ever made.
Starting at 12th place, I got to say I'm actually a little bit surprised by this one. I didn't think it would even make the list, but I'm proud of you guys because I absolutely love this fragrance. Okay, you could toss majority of my fragrances in my collection. Give me this one and I will be one happy boy like a kid on Christmas. Okay, this is Hugo Boss Bottled Absolute. This post in general had 153 comments. But this fragrance, it got two mentions, but across those two mentions, a total of six likes. So that's eight points. So it barely made this list. I'm talking barely.
So what is this fragrance? It's basically incense, pachuli, myrrh. It's resinous. It's dark. But I like to describe as like a caramel apple kind of smell in here. Like it's a dense kind of sweetness. One thing I like about Hugo Boss fragrances, unless you didn't know, I'm a Hugo Boss glazer. Okay, picture me. I'm literally the color of a glazed donut right now. For Hugo Boss any day of the week, baby. The last couple releases from Hugo Boss have been daring. They've been bold. They've been unique. No other designer brand is doing that right now. And that's why they have my utmost respect. This fragrance in itself very strong, very potent. It lasts a long time. It gives you compliments. It's unique. What more can you ask from a designer brand? Seriously.
Now, this next fragrance, I knew this was going to be on the list. I'm not going to lie. I knew this was going to be there somewhere. Um, but I kind of expected it to place a little bit higher. This is actually tied with Boss Bottled Absolute. Dior Sauvage Elixir coming in at 11th place. So, there's no denying what the entire Sauvage line has done for men's perfumery. You know, the Sauvage haters out there that think they're unique or something or it's funny to hate on Sauvage, but it does numbers. Okay, Sauvage sells out everywhere. It's It's the most probably one of the most sold men's fragrances of all time, but you guys picked this one over that. Just so you know, on this whole list, there will not be any flankers of each other. This one is unique because it's probably the strongest designer fragrance ever made. And I'm not saying that lightly. This stuff is a nuclear 24-hour powerhouse. Some people have complained about reformulation. I've went and tried new formulations in Sephora, compared them. They seem exactly the same. So, I I think it's an illusion. Honestly, this is beast mode. This one had a total of eight points as well with this one got only one mention but a total of seven likes on that mention. So hey that's eight points total. So this one is basically lavender. It has licorice. It has nutmeg and a little bit of grapefruit to kind of sweeten it up. Let's say like give it a little bit of brightness so it's not just dark and dense. It's kind of a dry fragrance. It's super strong but when I smell this on someone they kind of command that kind of masculine energy. This is what this fragrance does. It balances old school things with more modern elements. I think that this is a true modern masterpiece. You guys can say whatever you want and roast me in the comments, but I think it's a true modern masterpiece. I don't care.
Okay, so the next one. Now we're in the top 10, baby. This one, I got to say, truly surprised me. I did not expect to see it on this list, but can I disagree with it? Not really. A lot of the fragrances on this list I can't really disagree with, but I just did not expect to see Versace Eros Eau de Parfum come at 10th place. Yes. So this is basically mint, vanilla, orange, there's red apple, there's lemon, but it's truly a mint kind of vanillic fruity fragrance, right? The one thing that you cannot deny is that it smells good. And if you don't think it smells good, that's fine. Sales numbers say otherwise. How often I smell this says otherwise. I smell this a lot whenever I go out. Truly, from my experience, men and women love the smell of this that are not in FragCom. Okay, you ask someone in FragCom, they think they're above this and Dior Sauvage, blah blah blah. It's a clubbing fragrance. Lal. Oh my god, how dare you ever wear those. It just grabs attention. It works. When you ask people their opinion, they like it. Okay, it had a total of eight mentions as well, which puts it in line with these, according to you guys.
Now, we're on ninth place, and truly, yes, this one I didn't kind of expect to be on there as well, but I totally don't fault you guys for putting it there. YSL's La Nuit De L'Homme. This one came out to a total of nine with two mentions and seven likes total. This is known as being one of the best date night fragrances ever made. This has always smelt like kind of a high-class sophisticated sangria or something like that. Like one of those drinks that you and your girl would get on a nice night out at a restaurant. Something like that. It has a weird kind of uniquely sweet scent profile that is undeniably why I sell La Nuit De L'Homme. But basically, this is lavender. It's cardamom. It also has a little bit of cedar vibes, but mostly this is a cardamom lavender bomb. The only thing I would say about this fragrance, which kind of disappointed me, is that the performance is very, very mid. And when you have a date night fragrance, yes, that's fine. You're not going to probably want to go on a date night for 12, 15 hours anyway, or at least you shouldn't be. If you are, then there's something kind of wrong with how that date's going in my opinion. But hey, you know what? To each their own. This does do good for a dinner night. It's a pull you in close kind of scent profile. But it kind of leaves a lot to be desired there because I just wish it performed better. That's the only hit I would say against this this one here.
We're coming in at eighth place now. Now we start getting into the fragrances that clear in points. Okay, so this next fragrance had a total of 10. It had two mentions, but across that eight likes. Okay, this is Jean Paul Gaultier La Nuit De L'Homme L'Intense. I think that a lot of the marks for this one are coming from kind of the younger crowd. So keep that in mind before you leave a comment. I know a lot of older people 30 and up may not prefer this. Like it does have a little bit in my opinion of that kind of youthful attention-grabbing kind of scent profile. And because of how strong this is, I genuinely have trouble finding situations to wear this unless I'm going to a party or a nightclub. I'm not really rocking this. Like maybe three sprays, but it's so strong that I genuinely, you know, have lack of situations to wear this. This is basically vanilla. It's honey. It's tobacco. This also has that kind of signature vanilla kind of minty lavender scent profile that La Nuit has. This is a darkened, deeper, more kind of loud version of La Nuit. The tobacco in there is not noticeably tobacco for me. It just kind of just gives this like earthy scent profile that makes it a little bit more interesting, so to speak.
Okay, this next one, I truly agree with it being on this list, by the way, with a total mark of 12, one mention, 11 likes. We got Versace Dylan Blue, a blue fragrance, which in my opinion gets negative connotation for being a teenager fragrance, which I truly have never agreed with. This, in my opinion, is a daily kind of driver that kind of prefers colder weather because it has incense and pachuli as a dominant note. So, it's a smoky kind of earthy scent profile that comes through. It's woody. It has that ambroxan kind of shower gel-esque scent profile to it, but it also has a little bit of this like pepper to it. So, in my opinion, the incense and the pepper combined with the grapefruit and the earthiness give it a sophisticated daily driver for a masculine man that just wants to smell good. And in fact, when my friends that are not in FragCom ask me for a good recommendation on a daily driver, pretty much I recommend this over Dior Sauvage. I recommend this over Bleu de Chanel because why? I think I just kind of like the uniqueness out of this one. Hence, I'm also bored of Bleu de Chanel, which I've said many times, but I just think that this one's a little bit more interesting and that's why I recommend this to my friends whenever they want a daily driver.
Okay, this next one. Good luck finding this one. This one is long gone, guys. RIP to Dior Parfum. Old formulation, not the new stuff you see. Not that new crap. I mean, the new one's not that bad. It's just not this one. It will never be this one. "You're not that guy, pal. Trust me, you're not that guy." So, this one had a total of 13 with two mentions, 11 likes total. So, this one is that signature Dior Homme style fragrance. This is Iris, which is a lipsticky kind of makeup bag smell, but this one adds leather. It adds rose and oud, and it has that musky kind of ambrette smell. But this one basically picture Dior Homme with an added leather in almost animalic leathery oud combination. It's deep. It's sophisticated. It's unique because it does something that the other line doesn't. It's also a very good performer. This is something that I would wear to dress up. I actually bought this right before it was discontinued. I got incredibly lucky. This is probably one of the last batches ever made. If I was to keep only 10 fragrances, designer fragrances, this would probably rank on there. I'm not going to lie. I think it's a really well done fragrance.
Now we're on to the bangers. Okay, the top five. These ones are clearing in terms of points. A big step up from 13 points to 18 points total. Coming in at Terre d'Hermès Eau de Parfum. And this is not the Eau de Toilette. As you can see, this is actually the Parfum. Why? Because Chad from A Gentleman's Journey stole my bottle. He literally entered my house while I was sleeping, grabbed it off my shelf, took it to his new place. Robbery. Chad, how dare you? I called the police. No, I'm just kidding. But the Parfum at least, it's pretty much the same DNA. So that's why I'm putting it here. But I truly like the Eau de Toilette better. So this one is known as the dirty orange fragrance. Pretty much it's a masculine kind of earthy orange fragrance. That's the pretty much simplest way to put it with notes of orange. What gives it this kind of smoky earthiness is the vetiver. There's also some pepper in here. When I first tried, I was genuinely blown away. Like truly, there's nothing else in the world that smells like Terre d'Hermès. I have so much respect for Terre d'Hermès. I truly think that the original is a masterpiece. Why I don't like the Parfum in case you actually care. The kind of unique flinty peppery smell which gives it this by the way sophisticated edge is gone here. They kind of in the Parfum they've toned down everything. This in terms of perfumery is the better blend of perfumery but better for the old type of you know older crowd that doesn't really care about standing out. Truly honestly the Parfum's still great. I prefer the EDT and I would put the EDT on this list myself if you were to ask me. It's a freaking masterpiece man. I don't care what anyone says.
At fourth place which comes in tied with Terre d'Hermès. So take that lightly. This is going to be shocking to some people who would have expected it to place higher with a mark of 18. Two mentions and 16 likes. Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum. Some people's favorite fragrance. Definitely Chanel's favorite fragrance cuz they might even copyright me for putting this in the video. I don't know. They're an interesting brand to say the least. A lot of people love this. I understand why. I'm personally bored of it. I'm going to keep saying it over and over again. It's a sophisticated kind of daily driver fragrance, right? So this is basically grapefruit, incense. It's aldehydes. It's a little bit sweet with amber and a little bit of earthiness comes in. This is said to be a shower gel fragrance. I never really got that. I mean I say it because it's kind of just something we go as now in FragCom, but I don't know. I think that this is more than a shower gel smell. I never smell a shower gel that has incense and woods and earthiness in there. And I don't know. It's it's interesting though. Not the best performance. I was kind of disappointed by the performance of this one to be fair.
Oh, now we're on to the top three. Actually, this one really really shocked me to see it place top three. I'm not even kidding. I was like, "What the heck? Really? Really?" I mean, I I think it's a good fragrance, but I was like kind of blown away. With a total mark of 19, total mentions of four and 15 likes across the board, Dolce & Gabbana The One Eau de Parfum. Now, why am I shocked by this? You know, I think it's a good fragrance, but to put it in the best ever made, like truly the best ever made and get so many marks, total mark of 19, blowing all these out of the water, you know, I think that's this is an amazing smelling fragrance. This is amber, it's tobacco, it's cardamom, a little bit of spicy freshness coming from ginger. It's a masculine kind of date night-esque fragrance, like something that you would wear to get attention from someone on a date. It is a low performer though, which is good for date nights actually because on date nights, if you didn't know, I always say this, but it should be a draw them in close type of smell. If you have a large projector, why would they want to come in close to you and get suffocated, right? The sillage will give them a little hint and it will make them be like, "What was that?" and come in close to you. That's what you want on a date night. At least you should. You want that date to go good. Otherwise, they're going to go onto John from down the road and tell John about how much of a loser you are. No, I'm just kidding. This definitely performs better than the Eau de Toilette, though. So, if you want the better performing one, go with Eau de Parfum.
Now, we're on to the top two. Holy smokes, this ain't no jokes. Another discontinued gem we're talking now. Can you guess what that one is? Leave in the comments below before I say, which one is it that's going to make number two out of 12 that is discontinued with a total of 29 points. It had five mentions across the board, but 24 likes across the entire 153 comments. This is Acqua di Gio Profumo. Can I agree with this? Absolutely. I think it's probably one of the best five at least men's fragrances ever made in my opinion. Why did they discontinue this? Well, I don't know. Maybe it wasn't selling and now that it's gone, you guys cherish it. Just like some rappers or singers that didn't get much attention, but once they're gone, everyone's like, "Man, they were the GOAT. They were the GOAT. This is the GOAT. Why did you guys not buy this? If you guys bought this, this probably would have never gone off the shelves." Too late for you guys. I have my bottle, which is actually similar to this story. One of the last formulations ever made. No, this fragrance in total is so good. It's a masculine, sophisticated daily driver, which I prefer way over this one. Guys, this has the aquatic kind of Acqua di Gio DNA. But what this one does differently is it enhances it with pachuli and incense, giving it this smoky kind of earthy feel, but also still having some of those fresh, spicy, aromatic components. It's the deepest. It's the darkest. It's the nicest. It's the most well-rounded. "The most violent, the most diabolical, the most dangerous, a beast slayer, a conqueror's conqueror, the GOAT of all GOATs." The other Acqua di Gio are better for summer. This one brings it into the winter and fall with those fresh spices and aromatic and incense. Truly an very nice all year round fragrance. If you wanted this fragrance, you are in luck though. I'm just I was messing around earlier. Just look out for the new Acqua di Gio Parfum. Make sure it is the one with the magnetic cap. And you have pretty much 95% this same fragrance. It's a little bit fresher, but it's so close it's almost unrecognizable to 99% of people out there.
So, now we're on to number one. I'm sure a lot of you could guess what this is. It is Dior Sauvage. No, I'm just kidding. This one had a total of 31 marks, which is two marks above this one. A total of 12 mentions, a total of 19 likes. With a total mark of 31, we have Creed Aventus. I really I just had to pull a joke there. This is the clone of Creed Aventus, but I literally don't own a bottle of Creed Aventus. I mean, the banner on my channel page has been subscribed so I can afford Creed Aventus, which I still can't afford. It's so expensive, man. I almost have to refinance my house and put it into Creed Aventus just to afford a bottle. It's It's ridiculously expensive. But can I complain about Creed Aventus being number one on this list? No. I truly think it's a little bit played out nowadays because the clones have completely taken over. This is one of the most smelled men's fragrances. The one I I smell a lot when I go out. Creed Aventus because it has so many inspired by inspired so many fragrances. It's the most cloned fragrance on the market. Creed Aventus you cannot deny is a true masterpiece. Creed Aventus blew every other fragrance out of the market. I thought it was way better than Bleu de Chanel, better than Dior Sauvage, better than all the other kind of daily driver fragrances ever made. I think that it was truly a masculine centerpiece. Someone that wants to be in charge of the situation and shows that they're like they got confidence. Creed Aventus just did that so well. It's a true masterpiece in my opinion. It's pineapple, fruity, woods with a little bit of smoke. It has oak moss and black currant.
