another video and we have an absolutely
massive one today we're going to be
doing a tactical breakdown of the new
Chelsea manager Enzo moresa now this
video has taken absolutely ages to get
together I've done hours and hours of
research over the last two days on Enzo
moresa watching videos reading articles
listening to the man himself and in this
video we're going to go through right at
the beginning his career to see what
diverse experience he's had because he's
worked under a lot of different managers
we're then going to go through his
tactical philosophy what are his ideas
and the different variations that he has
shown and then we're going to collate it
to Chelsea we're going to show how
Chelsea could set up under Enzo moresa
under the different variations that
we've seen so far in his career as well
as adapting to the skill sets of the
Chelsea Squad so before we get into it
please can I ask you guys to like the

below what your thoughts on Enzo mesa's
appointment are so firstly I wanted to
delve into Enzo mesa's career both as a
player and a manager because I think
he's had a lot of diverse learning
experiences under lots of different
coaches that would have lended him lots
of different views on the game the first
thing we're going to go into actually
before we go into his youth career is
talking about an Italian University a
coaching Center that he attended called
K chano and within that University and
excuse my pronunciation if it's wrong he
wrote a thesis and the title of that
thesis was football and chess and this
fits exactly what we've heard about Enzo
moresa perfectly and the fact you were a
thesis on it just really personifies it
altogether within that thesis he had a
quote and he said there are a lot of
similarities the most important is
positional play and strategy for a coach
it's important to have the mentality of
a chess player three things develop a
plan study counter moves and choose the
arrangement of the pieces so when people
have made these comparisons between Enzo
moresca football and chess the man has
said it himself and even wrote a thesis
about it he sees the game as a chess
board and it's why he's heralded so much
for his positional play and tactical
approach so talking about his playing
career he actually started off in the 18
Milan Youth Academy and played as like a
number six and a number eight now
interestingly he actually shared a team
of Roberto derer who played as a number
10 at the time in the a Milan youth team
so they have played together at 18 years
old he actually made a very big move to
West Brom so he threw himself completely
out of his comfort zone from Italy to
the championship and very interestingly
in that time do you know who else was at
West Brom gram Potter and they actually
carpooled together they talked about it
in an interview so they were very very
good friends the old Chelsea manager and
the now current Chelsea manager after
West Brom he went to Juventus where he
was coached by Carlo an chelotti and you
all know who Enzo Moresco was the
assistant manager to him we'll talk
about it to later very varying
philosophies there between Pep Guardiola
and Carlo angelotti so he's been under
the tutelage of both he then went to
Fiorentina in Italy and then switched
over to Sevilla where he made his most
appearances in his career and of course
Sevilla is in Spain so that's another
country he's gone to clearly going out
of his comfort zone and then he also
ended up going to Olympiacos later in
his career and we all know how mental
the fans are there overall in his career
he ended up with a Syria title two UFA
cups and a cadell race so even though he
wasn't you know the most legendary of
football players in the world he still
had a very good career moving around
different clubs gaining loads of
different experiences different cultures
he seen it all now moving on to his
coaching career one of the jobs that he
had was he was actually in the coaching
staff of Manuel Pelini at West Ham in
around 2018 of course Pelini has a huge
pedigree having won the Premier League
with Manchester City and actually Enzo
moresa played under Pelini at Malaga and
at the time Wally was a player Pelini
told moresa that he would be a very very
good coach and then as you can see he
bought him onto his coaching staff in
2018 then in 2020 Pep Guardiola himself
recruited Enzo moresa into Manchester
City and he took charge of Manchester
City's Elite development Squad taking
charge of their under 23s and in his
first and only season he won the pl2 the
Premier League 2 which is the
competition for the under 23s he only
lost two games and coached the likes of
Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia who we
obviously know are at Chelsea right now
also Joe Shields was at Manchester City
at the time so he had an perfect view of
Enzo mesa's work then after that he
actually went and joined Palmer in Seri
B and this was a pretty bad spell for
him his first senior job and it ended
after 14 games mesco has spoken about it
himself and he said that actually he
thought that they were building
something and he got slacked too early
and he also had to integrate 14
different players all speaking different
languages so a bit of context to the
situation but also if we're honest quite
a poor spell that has to be included in
the risk factor of appointing someone
with not much experience but after that
Pep Guardiola bought him back and bought
him into his coaching staff in the first
team and everyone knows what they did
last season well I guess now the season
before because the Premier League season
has finished they won the treble so I
think he has pretty good experience
there in the Premier League playing 38
games winning pretty much every game of
the season being the fin of huge
competitions and working under Pep
Guardiola I mean do I have to explain it
he clearly learned loads under pep and a
treble is not something bad to have in
your trophy cabinet and then of course
as we all know he joined Leicester last
season and ended up having his first
full season in the senior game and it
ended very very well with Leicester
finishing top of the championship on 97
points obviously you probably add the
context that they had by far the best
Squad in the championship but at the end
of the day he still had to get them
promoted and he even got first place so
now let's move on to the more tactical
side and talk about Enzo maresco's style
of play essentially his style of play is
completely based around keeping the ball
and having possession I watched back his
first press conference as Leicester
manager and a reporter asked him what is
your style of play and he very simply
answered have the ball so that's exactly
what he wants to do he even spoke about
himself about when he was a player when
he was playing for Seva and Malaga he
actually came up against pep guardiola's
Barcelona and that's when he kind of
fell in love what Guardiola was doing
and you can easily see that in his style
of play and of course with the fact that
he was literally assistant manager under
prep Guardiola there's a very direct
link there but Enz mesa's style of play
he ideally likes to build up in a 325 or
3223 basically inverting a fullback into
the middle creating a box Midfield
isolating the Wingers out wide and
having the strikers up top the idea of
this system is all about controlling the
game creating chances creating overloads
in the Middle with that box Midfield
isolating the Wingers and mainly scoring
goals now one point I want to make is
about where the sustained pressure of
this possession is a lot of the teams
that play this style of system of the
ilk of Pep Guardiola are thought of as
teams that want to box the opposition in
and keep them in their final third and
this is the case under Enzo meski he's
talked about how much he wants to keep
possession to break down teams however I
don't think it's the be all and end all
for his team he likes to start his build
up very very deep he's not purely
focused on boxing the team in and I
think this is reflected in the
statistics so if we look at the field
tilt field tilt is a statistic that
basically shows how much your team boxes
the opposition in it measures sustained
possession in the opposition's final
third and teams like Manchester City and
Arsenal obviously under Metta have very
very high percentage field Tils and if
we look at Leicester they also have a
very high field tilt they have a 61.6 7
percentage however if we look on the
statistic you'll see that Southampton
have a 67.5%
so this shows the Lesser do have a big
onus on boxing teams in creating
sustained pressure and breaking them
down as I said however also I think one
thing that's needs to be pointed out is
they also focus on deep buildup a lot
and if you watch Leicester you'll see
they often start with their goalkeeper
and their complete focus is not always
on boxing teams in they often like to
have a bit of space for the people in
the half spaces and they like to
sometimes create transition through
their buildup now Enzo moresa has shown
variation to his ways from the 3 to5
buildup that we spoke about earlier at
Palmer he actually sometimes
Incorporated a 235 buildup as you can
see on screen where he would invert both
the right back and the left back into
Midfield to essentially become Right
Center mids and left Center mids and
this would really box the teams in now
within his system with the 325 of course
a lot of the talk is about how much
attacking has done breaking through the
lines and trying to score goals but one
thing that I personally really like with
Enzo moresa and needs dealing with at
Chelsea because our defense last season
was terrible we broke Chelsea records
for the worst defense we've ever had in
premier league history well luckily Enz
RCA focuses a lot just as much as his
system creates attack it also creates
defense and a big part of his system is
counter pressing by inverting the
fullback and packing the middle it means
that when they lose the ball they can
very quickly regain possession and not
only that but when possession can't be
regained immediately he's very on his
players to make sure they get back into
position specifically the fullback let's
say the right back who is inverted into
Midfield they have to come back into
their position very very quickly to
defend transitions transitions was a
problem for Leicester last season
however it's something that Enzo moresa
does know is the case and there's always
going to be some negatives of a system
you can't just cancel out any possible
way of playing against it so transitions
is a slight problem but at Chelsea
there's quicker Defenders than they have
at Leicester for example Wesley fana
maybe Levi Cowell Trevor Chala if he
stays so should be better dealt with
overall off the ball Enzo moresa usually
defends in a
4141 sometimes it becomes a 442 or a 451
but that is his main block and often
what he'll like to do is actually have
the Wingers press inwardly and try and
come inside and narrow the opposition
team when they have the ball in the
middle of the pitch this makes them play
into the traffic where he has lots of
numbers in the middle and means that
they can regain possession quickly
however along with that a way that
endesa likes to go about it is actually
setting a man-to-man press within that
off the- ball system and this can be
very effective again at regaining the
ball really really quickly but also so
if you watch some leester games
sometimes it means that the center backs
are a bit out of position sometimes
they're following midfielders or
Strikers when they've dropped deep and
it sometimes leaves a very very weird
setup at the back where sometimes the
fullbacks become the center backs so a
manto Man Press has its positives and
negatives but you often see Enz and
reska deploying a man to man press
within a 4141 or a 442 off the ball
shape so let's hone in on one of the
main philosophies within his system and
that is inverting the fullback he's very
very rigid almost very clear on his
system and it almost always includes
inverting a fullback at leester he
inverted a fullback every single game
and there's two main reasons he does
this as we said one of them is a big
onus on defending and this helps with
counter pressing as I already said it
packs the middle and means they can win
the ball back very very quickly but it
also helps with transition so Enz moresa
himself outlined on the coach's voice
how when he inverts a fullback he ends
up with a 32 back spine and that means
he has five players defending
transitions as opposed to a lot of
systems like a 43 three where you end up
with both fullbacks pushing forwards and
then you end up with only the defensive
midfielder and the two center backs
defending transitions so only three in a
4-2 31 you have the double pivot so it
ends up being a four but in Enzo moresa
system his idea is to create five men to
help defend transition now obviously
hugely there's the attacking end as well
and by inverting a fullback he creates
that double pivot he moves a midfielder
further forwards and then two
midfielders end up adopting the half
space and you get that you know Almost
Famous at this point box Midfield
getting those midfielders in the half
space means you can break the lines with
let's say a Levi coell and then you just
end up creating attacks after attacks
after attacks it's not just the Box
Midfield but it also means that the
Wingers out wide stay on the touch line
and are very isolated against the
fullback and then you back your Winger
to win their 1 V ones and if we look at
Chelsea you have mudri mad Sterling and
who knows maybe Michael Alis maybe we
sign a left Winger a lot of players that
like to go 1 V one and within this
system the whole point with this box
Midfield is a cre overloads in the
middle you often end up with a four
versus three in Midfield and it's all
about finding that extra man and
breaking through the lines but within
that obviously the opposition make their
own moves and sometimes you'll see a
center back follow one of the
midfielders into the half bace to create
a four versus four but in this situation
he likes to get the striker involved and
then it creates a five versus four with
the striker dropping in into that
Midfield block and creating another
overload and again a spare man but even
within that when the center back moves
to follow the midfielder into the half
space whether the striker joins or not
you end up with a three versus three on
the opposition's back line with both
your Wingers isolated against the
fullback and the striker isolated
against a center back and this creates
huge spaces in behind the opposition's
defensive line so with a lot of the ways
this system goes and a lot of the ways
the opposition like to combat it there's
a lot of ways around it now as I said
Enzo moresa is very set in stone with
his philosophy and a very key player
within that is the goalkeeper and I
think a very good example of how set in
stone he is with that is a quote he has
has on his goalkeeper we won a lot of
games because of Mads they goalkeeper
but what cannot happen is he starts
playing long balls if that happens we'll
bring in the second goalkeeper now this
is a slightly comical but it's a really
good indictment and a showing of how
strict he is on his philosophy and he
wants his team to play a very specific
way I've spoken about how there's some
positives from that and there can also
be shortcomings if you're so set in
stone on the philosophy at the end of
the day that is mesco ball and he's very
very set in stone so let's move on to
how the system will actually look and
how it will apply to Chelsea before we
get into the specific Chelsea players I
want to go through each position in his
on theball system and talk about what
the requirements are and what the idea
is behind the role so the goalkeeper is
absolutely pivotal to mer ball and we
already talked about how the goalkeeper
can end up adopting a right center back
position if they're adopting a very high
press pushing onto the three Center back
so the goalkeeper has to be very Adept
on the ball creating a lot of short
passes clipping it out sometimes to the
wide Center back and every now and then
even though moresa said he doesn't want
his goaler to play long balls you do see
a long ball in behind for the Wingers
that are high and wide cuz often they
space in behind moving on to the three
center backs they are three wide center
backs one Center back in the middle and
then two center backs pulling out wide
not fully as fullbacks but trying to
create the space to create the Angles
and try to break the lines towards the
players in the half space then if you
move into the middle you have the
natural midfielder and the inverted
fullback these two play very very close
to each other and we're going to talk
about it more now about how Chelsea
players fit into that but you talk about
Enzo and cedo they love to play really
really close to each other create
intricate passes create angles and try
and break through the lines as we said
obviously the midfielders have to be
very Adept on the ball recycling the
ball and breaking lines of course then
if you move forwards you have the
players in the half space that are
trying to get in those Pockets between
the opposition's defensive line and
their Midfield line and these are kind
of your most technical players they need
to pick up the ball on the turn and then
try and play through a Winger or a
striker or just go themselves next to
them you obviously have the high and
wide Wingers who are there almost purely
for isolation 1 V ons and this I
absolutely love you'll see them hugging
the touch line high and wide potentially
running in behind the defense but often
picking up the ball and just taking on
their fullback and trying to leave them
for dead before creating a cut back or
cutting in themselves and scoring a goal
and then you've got the striker who kind
of has a multifaceted role of course we
look at Pep Guardiola now he has Harland
he uses his aerial threat before that he
had more of a center forward like Aguero
Jesus you see obviously Jesus and havs
at Arsenal and these are very very
similar systems to what Enz mesu is
going to do at leester he had very
similar we Ki iacho and patson Daka who
were probably more involved in buildup
especially iatro and then Jamie vardy
who likes to just run on so it kind of
depends on the game what kind of player
Moresco wants in his position whether he
wants a pure poacher or if he thinks
that the opposition are going to
man-to-man press the midfielders into
the half space he might want a striker
who's more ad Dept on the ball such as I
mean our Strikers fit it very well
Nicholas Jackson Christopher and kungu
to come into that Midfield Zone create a
five versus 4 overload and get on the
ball so now let's move on to how this
will actually fit in at Chelsea with the
specific players in the Chelsey Squad to
start this off I'm going to be using
just players that are at Chelsea right
now you'll see in the later templates
and I have about seven or eight
variations of what Enzo moresa can do
with the Chelsea Squad I'm going to
bring in actually a couple signings that
fit what Enzo moresa wants to do a bit
more than the current Chelsea players
here but to start off to keep it simple
let's keep the current members of the
Chelsea Squad and we're going to be
looking at the on the ball setup so in
that 325 setup and just a quick
disclaimer in the lineup Builder that I
was using the Wingers didn't really have
space to move higher up the pitch but
Enzo Resa does want his Wingers to be
high and wide so just imagine them a bit
further up the pitch so we're going to
build up with these different lineup
variations and end up with my ideal one
and what I think will be used so firstly
I think we actually have to talk about
an Enzo Fernandez and Moises kaiso
dilemma because as we've said Enzo
moresa really likes to invert his
fullback there wasn't a single game at
Lester where he didn't invert his
fullback and this creates a slight issue
because Enzo and ciso are thought as two
players that just beautifully fit in
within that double pivot and excellent
at progressing the ball however the
problem is that as I said Enzo moresa
wants to invert a fullback so there's
only really space for one midfielder in
that pivot so the first variation we're
going to look into actually doesn't have
Moises kaiso and the reason for that is
we're going to put Enzo in that sort of
Harry Winks role as at number six and
Reese James is going to invert petravic
in goal chalar at Central Center back
and we're going to change that up later
Levi Cole at left Center back Wesley
fana has miraculously stayed injury-free
and is at right center back mad and
mudri are going to be a high and wide
Wingers obviously we may see additions
there we may see Sterling play on that
left wing instead and then as I said
Enzo Fernandez and Rees James in that
middle with the beautiful just the
absolutely beautiful Christopher and
kungu in the left half space Cole Palmer
in the right half space I mean we're
going to talk about different variations
and why that might not end up happening
given the Enzo Fernandez and Moes kaiso
dilemma however those two players in the
half spaces are going to cause teams
such big problems and then of course we
have Nicholas Jackson up front so this
is a variation where you don't have
kaiso because you want to get in conent
Palmer into the half spaces now of
course let's not take the mick Moises
kaiso was one of our best players last
season so he will obviously be starting
Enzo mesa's team however you have to ask
how are you going to fit him in and well
we can actually go off something that
Enz moresa did at Leicester because at
Leicester he had Wilfred and Dee playing
in the right half space and Dee a player
to most premier league fans who didn't
watch ler in the championship think of
him as an outright defensive midfielder
and en moresa kind of changed his game
and not only did he play a person who's
not used to playing in the attacking
positions in that right half space but
he actually had a slightly adaptive role
which is why I think it could could fit
Moises kaiso and that was not purely
playing in the right half space but
often in buildup coming slightly deeper
not to the level of of Harry winks and
Ricardo pereiro within his system who is
the inverted fullback but much deeper
than Ken and drewb Hall who often stayed
up in that left half space and if Enz
moresa is happy to give that freedom to
the player in the half spaces maybe a
player that isn't as used to attacking
like inun Palmer then you could
definitely see Moises kaiso in this role
and if we've seen Moises kaedo this
season and even at Brighton we know that
as much as he is a six and is very very
very good in that deep buildup phase
he's also a player that is very very
well-round I mean that's what you should
get for a player of the price that we
bought him for and he can attack very
well a lot of people think he's actually
better as a box tobox midfielder so in
this variation you can see that Moes
kaiso could play in that right half
space equally and this is my chosen
variation this is the one I've taken you
through two perspective templates but
this is the one that I think and I would
go for under moresa system before I give
you a slightly Adaptive One next what I
would do is do the same but have Enzo
Fernandez in that left half space and
put Co Palmer in the right half space
there are a couple reasons for this
again because Mesa did give Indi
slightly more freedom and not force him
to play in the right half space even
though it didn't really fit him I think
this is something that he could do with
Enzo Fernandez now I'm someone who loves
Enzo in that deeper position and I want
him to be honest in that Harry Wink's
role but the fact that we have a player
of Moises kao's caliber he has to be on
the pitch he's an absolute differen
maker and he's also more defensively
Adept than Enzo Fernandez Enzo gets
really run over in transition which is a
thing that moresa teams struggle against
and he doesn't quite have the defensive
nous the tackling the Moes cedo does the
ability to spot an interception from
amalay and cedo of course is extremely
extremely good at buildup so ciso and
Reese James in that Midfield Reese
inverting from from fullback obviously
we know Reese is quality he's absolutely
exceptional played in Midfield actually
for wigin so he has experience in this
position and I think would fit it to an
absolute T and then remove Enzo
Fernandez into that left half space as I
said with a bit more freedom not like
Cole Palmer who you'd expect to kind of
stay in that zone try and get into
attacking spaces but Enzo should be in
that left half space to get the ball in
dangerous positions and to cut open
teams not just from Deep not just with
long balls but actually playing that key
pass that will put them straight through
on goal making an difference but also he
has that freedom to drop a bit deeper if
he wants to pick up the ball circulate
the ball a bit spay a long ball over to
the right winger anyone running in
behind so I think if Enzo Fernandez is
given the freedom in the in this left
half space position it won't be the
attacking midfielder role that we saw
under poino fenzo Fernandez that clearly
limited his ability that made him
constantly try and be in the position on
the turn that doesn't suit him yes he
will be on the turn in this left half
space in a lot of scenarios however if
he's given more freedom I think he able
to work around it a lot better sometimes
he'll be on the turn but we know he has
a technical ability to deal with it but
also it means he'll pick up the ball in
very very attacking situations as I said
Play The Killer pass but have the
freedom to still be involved in buildup
another thing with this change that I
like is that if you put kaiso in that
right half space it means that C Palmer
moves over to the left half space and I
just think that even though C Palmer is
obviously such an Adept incredible
footballer that can affect the pitch in
any Zone you put him in you just want to
put him in his best position to thrive
and he likes to cut in onto his left
foot on the right hand side so I think
it's better to put him there now
obviously with this system Nicholas
Jackson does get dropped who obviously
has had a great season for Chelsea and
it's not someone that I want to drop
however it's just the personnel and how
it fits will obviously from game to game
change our system and Jackson will still
get a lot of minutes and heck we're
probably going to sign a striker and we
should sign a striker so there'll be
huge huge Personnel changes we'll be
playing in Europe in the conference
League hope hopefully so it's not set in
stone who plays there but in kungu
playing in that nine as much as I want
him in that left half space and I'm
going to give a variation next where he
is that nine with Enzo moresa wanting
the striker to get involved in buildup
fits in kungu perfectly he can drop in
create that five versus four overload if
necessary just get involved in the play
and then be in that box to finish off as
we know he does so well now I want to
give quite a big variation and it's
actually what would be my personal
preferred setup it's just we haven't
seen Enzo moresa do this yet within his
managerial career so I can't really say
that he is going to do it but I think
that the best use of the skill sets in
this team is to create that Enzo and
Moises cedo double pivot because I think
having them so close together in buildup
is exactly what you want to do they are
so technically proficient and they will
play through any team and then what I
think you should do is have Rees James
hold that high and wide position because
Reese James in Midfield of course he
will fit absolutely perfectly and I
think we could see a different facet to
his game that we haven't seen yet with
his physicality but also bombing up and
down the right hand side getting crosses
in is Reese james' bread and butter and
to get rid of that just it just hurts to
get rid of it that's what I want to see
and I think that re James can hold that
high and wide position very very well
create a slightly different threat and
then you still have Enzo and cis's
Technical Proficiency in that double
pivot playing very very close to each
other we haven't seen Enzo moresa do
this but maybe he will incorporate this
variation now I want to flash on screen
a potential signing that we could see
under Enzo moresa to fit his system
slightly better on the last one we were
having cell left Center back trala
Central Center back and fana Right
Center back however Trevor trala is
likely to to leave and also don't think
he fits Central Center back to an
absolute T so what I think we could do
is actually sign someone like jel hoo or
and he's not on this graphic but maybe
someone like Ricardo calafiori I haven't
included calafiori because he seems to
be going to Juventus but this is a
center back left back hybrid who would
be off the ball in that left back
position but on the ball in convert into
left Center back and I think that a
player of the ilk of jelto cafy or even
from the academy Isa Samuel Smith who I
think is a top top prospect and fits
this skill set to an absolute te I think
would fit Enzo mesa's style of play
really really well jelto is a fantastic
player really athletic aggressive great
passing rid great 1 V one footwork he
would fit this position to an absolute T
equally you could keep Levi Co at left
Center back and I haven't put this in
the graphic but you could sign a Central
Center back and Chelsea are clearly
going to sign a right center back
Central Center back hybrid anyway but
players that could fit that for example
we've been linked to tosen adabo who
we've offered a contract to he is very
good on the ball so he could fit there
very tall as well but also I'd say from
my scouting Lenny yoro would be an
absolutely fantastic signing for Chelsea
he could fit right center back or
Central Center back for liil he plays in
a back four so we haven't seen him in
this system yet but I think that he has
what it takes to play in that Central
Center back system and also another
player is scalvini who plays for Atlanta
he actually plays in a back five system
for Atlanta but I haven't actually seen
him play yet in that Central Center back
position he usually plays either right
center back or left Center back so again
if you sign him you have the clear
option he'll fit right center back
absolutely perfectly but from watching
him myself I do think he would fit that
Central Center back mold as well so you
have a couple different options to fit
the skill set that Enzo moresa wants
within his play style perfectly now I'm
going to give you a huge huge wild card
that maybe Enzo Mesa could pull out the
bag as we said there is a big kaiso and
Enzo Fernandez debacle because it's
pretty hard to fit them both on the
pitch at the same time if you're going
to invert a fullback now another way
around that that we haven't mentioned
yet he's actually having cedo play as a
fullback and invert into Midfield now
there are obviously quite a few problems
with this and I personally wouldn't
recommend it because I think you're just
messing around with it too much however
we did see Enzo moresa Leicester play
Hamza Chow actually as a fullback and
have him invert into Midfield at times
as well which is exactly the same as
what kaiso could do in this system so
actually where we'd have kaiso in the
system as you can see in the graphic is
as a left back the reason for that is is
because of Reese James I'm sorry but you
can't invert kaiso from right back
because you ain't dropping Reese James
and also you ain't dropping Malo Gusto
let's not forget about Gusto either who
was close to our player of the Season
had an absolutely fantastic campaign so
you would have to invert Moises kaiso
from left back which makes it even more
an ideal however it does mean you get
that kaiso Enzo pivot you get in kunu
and Palmer in the half spaces and you
get Jackson up top which I think is like
the ideal setup however again the
problems with this is it's just a bit
too intricate off the ball Mo kais would
have to dash back to left back which is
a position that he's not used to filling
in he'd have to defend 1 V one against
right Wingers he may be a very good
defender in Midfield but it's very
different to defend 1 V one I against a
touchline than it is in the traffic when
you can read and just inceptions also
from a height perspective is not ideal
mooses ciso is not the tallest so it
would make our backline just that little
bit shorter so I personally don't think
this variation is the way to go but
equally I wouldn't hate if we tried it
maybe in a cup game just to see how it
would work because I really want kaiso
and Enzo in that pivot together just
having them work so close together in
such a narrow pivot I think could work
really really well now the last on the
ball variation that I want to show is
something that we mentioned earlier
which is when the opposition are really
putting on a high press against Enzo
mesa's team what moresa likes to do in
this situation is to create a tactical
tweak where he brings the goalkeeper
into the right center back position as
we spoke about earlier so we have that
on screen right now and I've actually
changed the goalkeeper again just like I
did with Jal hater where I think he'd
fit the position more than the current
options we have now I also think someone
like bulka would fit that position a bit
more than pvic or Sanchez Sanchez who is
the most calamitous goaler I've ever
seen and pic who has improved on the
ball but realisticly moresa wants more
from goalkeepers there are obviously
other options you have bulker as I said
Bento Dogo Costa chavalier from Lil who
I really really like melea and recently
we've actually been linked to Jorgenson
from vill Royale and mmad dash who's my
Georgian brother I'm Georgian myself so
it'd be cool to see him come to Chelsea
but we will likely see a goalkeeping
acquisition my shout would be bulka and
I also really like chaler sevila and
Bento as I've already said but this is
how it would look when the goalkeeper
comes into Right Center back to create a
back four to give you that extra man so
that you're not overloaded from the
opposition's Press so the last thing
we're going to talk about now is how Enz
moresa will set up off the ball as you
can see with the Chelsea team here I've
set them up in a 4141 Enz moresa likes
to either press off the ball with a 4141
a 451 or a 442 and this is realistically
how it would look like you can also see
this at Lester with the photo on screen
now that shows them pressing in a 442
with jub Hall as d Cole Palmer would
obviously just move up from the photo I
showed you earlier to create that two
Strikers up top if need be and within
their off the ball press what Lester
like to do is try and either push the
opposition onto one side of the pitch as
you can see on your screen now to try
and really cone in on them and make a
really really intense press another
thing they like to do when the
opposition has the ball in the middle of
the pitch with their Central Center back
let's say they like their Wingers as I
said earlier to do an inwards press try
to make the team be really really narrow
and force him to play through the
traffic in the middle of the pitch where
our Midfield overload will hopefully win
the ball and launch a Counterattack
anyway that is that for this video an
