We are continuing our transits course this evening, and, um, we last time wrapped up, uh, by talking about, uh, chant transits, um, of the outer planets in retrograde. What that looks like, that period of retrogradation. And now we are on to talking about the transits of the planets through the houses. A precursor to what we will go into more in depth as we talk about the individual transits in the individual month modules. But this is a primer.

When we are looking at this, we are looking at how the planet affects the house. It's not the house that affects the planet. The house is worked on by the transiting planet. So the matters of that particular house are affected, changed, stirred up. So this is a, a brief, um, very simplistic way of understanding what happens in each house. And again, we're going to add to this as we go along and have deeper understandings of the transiting planets in the houses as we get to the individual planets and the individual modules.

So when we're looking at the Sun, we read this as the transit of the Sun brings experiences of charisma, talent, vitality, self-expression, enjoyment, playfulness, parties, ego. Then we look down that effect matters of and bring changes and experiences to the first house. So let's talk about the first house. So, um, the Sun is a very quick transitor. The Sun is not, uh, where we're starting with this course. We're starting with Jupiter. We're actually starting with the outer planets because those are the major effectors. Those are the major lessons and the stories and experiences and the changes that we, we're going to undergo in our lifetimes. But the inner planets bring, uh, more superficial experiences, uh, daily experiences. Uh, they are the timers of events, uh, and can show, um, stress points or points of action during a long-term transit. We've talked about that briefly in the previous lessons about how the inner planet can be a significator, can be a trigger or a timer for the transits of the outer planets.

When we're having the Sun come through the first house, this is a pretty confidence-enhancing the transit, uh, because we have a planet that naturally has a fire meaning to it, a fire, uh, action energy coming into a house that naturally has that fiery way. So we have the experiences of the Sun, self-expression, enjoyment, uh, oftentimes going to a party, um, experiencing, uh, confidence. Those types of experiences come into where we are concerned with self-perception. This is the first house. Looks, strength, confidence, initiative, self-views, assert, new beginnings. When planets transit a the first house, this is the kickoff to a new cycle. It's a new cycle of that particular planet going from first to 12th, from beginning to end. All of, uh, astrology explains cycles within cycles. And any planet that transits that first house cusp, the Ascendant, is beginning a new cycle when it comes to how it affects our areas of very, very subjective individual life experience. The houses are what makes the chart personal.

So, um, the, the transits of the Sun, let's talk about, uh, how those can affect affect the matters of the second house. This is income, self-value, material possessions, valuations, investments, physical safety and security, qualities, artistic talents, uh, how we give ourselves, uh, to something, offerings within that second house. So when the Sun goes through the second house, we're bringing those experiences of charisma, talent, vitality, self-expression, parties into a house that is pretty welcoming of those experiences. So, um, not a bad area of life to have the Sun transiting because the Sun is very uplifting to our sense of value, self-esteem. The Sun has a lot in common with that.

The Sun coming into the third house, let's talk about that. This is where we find our close friendships and our sibling relationships, our thinking, our skills, what we've learned to do, how we use the hands, nervous system, communication. So with the Sun coming into the third house, again, the Sun is not the most consequential transiting planet. Um, it brings that confidence, that can-do attitude, that enjoyment to the third house, which is, um, sometimes a mundane place. There could be some exciting things within the third house because there's quite a lot of multitasking and activity. But, um, with the Sun coming into the third house, that's bringing enjoyment into that area of life. So there's a, um, a lightness to the transits of the Sun. Think about how we wait for our birthday every year. Think about how we feel on our birthdays. Similar to having the Sun in an area of confidence. When the Sun is conjunct to the Sun, it's not the same as having it to come through the first house or that first quadrant. But we see that we have a, let's say, a kickoff of confidence when the Sun transits the first and then proceeds for the second and the third.

About the transiting Moon. So the Moon moves very quickly. It is the moodiest in the solar system. I mean, it is always changing. So the Moon is our experiences of subjectivity, emotionalism, feelings, and bonds, and coziness, and familiarity. So it's very much responsible for our daily experience of feelings and moods. And when this the Moon is going through a particular area of life, that's where we are experiencing those very temporary experiences, changes.

So within the first house, it's that first house environment, self-perception, our looks. We can have a bad hair day when the Moon is transiting through the first house. This isn't the easiest place for a watery transit to occur. So the area of life where we are experiencing assertiveness and new beginnings and initiative, um, it may be that, uh, we are, um, having a hard time parsing out what is our feelings, what is, uh, what is it that we want. The timing of things, it's harder to assert ourselves just in that moment or have experiences, uh, in that first house that are not laced with moods or emotions.

Moon coming into the second house, um, so the second house is where we want to take our time. And the Moon actually does well in the second house. The Moon likes the sign of Taurus and action of Taurus. So there's more, um, it's a very brief transit, but we can feel that we are comforted, that we want to linger in the matters of the second house. We want to stay longer in the shower, um, there's more cuddling that can go on. Maybe morning sex might appeal to us or won't on other days. We want to spend more time enjoying ourselves and experiencing that sense of safety from being home among our things. We get very homesick with the Moon either transiting the second or the fourth. With the transiting the second, because we want to be with our stuff, we want to be in our bed, we want to be around our own things. It's very comforting. So the Moon in the second house, we are taking our time.

The Moon and the third, we can feel very nervous. And thank God it doesn't last a long time. Uh, we could feel very nervous. It's like there's a, there's a tension. We've got more to do. We can't sit still. If we have restless legs, it might get so much worse during that period of time. So the nervous system and the, the feelings are very much tied to each other. So it's very hard to focus with the Moon going through the third house because the Moon is so moody and the third house is so quick to just start doing something else. We don't have a continuity much in the, in the third house. And the Moon is actually what we're looking for continuity. We don't have it because it is so emotional. Um, but that's what we're after is that sense of steadiness and safety and security while on a wave, an ocean of waves.

This is so interesting. The transits of Mercury. So, uh, travel with an immediate, immediate vicinity. Mercury is not about traveling to foreign places or places that we haven't been before. It's actually where we have been before, where we have looped. So the transits of Mercury don't last extremely long. And these are not the most life-changing transits, just like the Sun is not the most life-changing transit, the Moon, not the most, Venus, not the most. But as we get out farther from the Sun and the Moon, we see more consequence building when it comes to the transiting planets.

So Mercury, we've all experienced Mercury retrograde, right? And, uh, whatever house that's in, that tends to be where we're experiencing those snafus and those difficulties and the, the, uh, headaches associated with Mercury retrograde. But Mercury just in general, going through that first house, this can be a very busy time. We are launching new things. Uh, there's more mindlessness. Um, we can talk out of turn or have more experiences with, um, transit communication, sharing what goes on in our daily life, happening in a way where we may not be the most mindful when we set out what we say, what we do. So, um, sometimes our confidence can, um, can come to bear the type of confidence that we have can come to bear on those the ways that we're dealing with co-workers, siblings, people in our immediate life. It is a more impulsive, uh, time for, uh, to to bear while we're going through that first. But again, Mercury is a pretty quick transitor.

If Mercury falls into the second in transit, we have those experiences of current events, news, nerves, routines, or daily habits that coming into where we are usually very much looking for stability, looking for things to be very much rock solid. So we can be doing more within that second house, organizing more, organizing our portfolio, spending more time on our hair and our makeup, things that have to do with presentations, looks, getting things right. So there's the busyness that comes into whatever house Mercury tends to be in is transiting through. I mean, so if he is transiting through the third house, it is busy within that third house because the third house is where Mercury naturally tenants. So a transit of Mercury through the third house is double action. That is more multitasking, more communication, more transit, more doing, more action altogether. So this is a reliable time to plan one of those days where we have a lot of odds and ends, or one of those weeks or months where we have a lot of odds and ends. Like, have you ever had a day where you had to go this place and you had to go that place, they needed to go that place, and by the end of the day you were so worn out, even though you didn't work very hard, but it, it just took a lot out of you because there's just a lot to do. That's what we find when Mercury's transiting through that third house. It can be very busy. Um, and I find that we can also neglect our health when Mercury goes through the third house. We need to be more mindful about drinking enough water, taking up time. Um, our habits tend to get a better say, a better, uh, a better way about them. We get more discipline about them when Mercury is going to the sixth, not necessarily through the third house. This is where we can find more of our mess with that particular transit.

Transits of Mars. This is where we have weeks, uh, typically weeks, unless we're going through a major Mars retrograde. It can be longer if we're dealing with Mars in a particular house. Um, usually it's going to be a matter of weeks that we're dealing with it. It can, it can be longer. It depends on how big our house is as well. Um, but the transits of Mars and the transits of Venus do take a little bit longer. This is where we can be dealing with weeks to months, where, uh, the transits of the Moon, the Sun, and Mercury are really hours when it comes to the Moon, to days, two weeks if we're talking about Mercury. Uh, so the transits of Mars, I bring anger, confrontation, aggression, initiative, arousal, assertiveness, impulsiveness, nerviness, and immediate gratification. So we experience knee-jerk reaction things when Mars comes with a particular area of life. And particularly when he is in the first house, which is where Mars typically lives. So we can be very on point when Mars goes through the first house and crosses the Ascendant. Particularly, we can feel very capable. I remember Mars crossed my Ascendant a few years ago. Our pony, she was only about six at the time, our mini pony. She'd never been ridden before. And when Mars crossed the Ascendant, I just went out and broke that pony and turned her into a riding pony. It only took about 15 minutes. But we do things that normally we would not do because we feel unusually confident, able, um, like our reflexes are really, really working. So there's, um, a high amount of confidence in our abilities, our assertiveness. Uh, so we're bringing those experiences of impulsiveness and getting it done and immediate gratification to where we are also talking about new beginnings, self-views as well. So we can, we can potentially act in ways that show our immaturity when Mars goes through the first house. But we can also potentially act in ways that are very helpful to ourselves rather than self-destructive. With Mars, we can experience, you know, more anger, more, well, frankly, more immaturity, more immature types of behaviors. Uh, are we can be very reactionary with Mars. So I, as it goes through that first house, I need to watch ourselves because it can be very, very good. On the one hand, it can really help us to move forward with some very hard things. But on the other hand, we can be very, very pushy and even aggressive. So we just have to be careful when it goes to that particular position.

Mars transiting through the second house. The, uh, assertiveness of Mars, the boldness of Mars comes into where we want things, the second house. So the action of securing, confrontation, impulsiveness, that is sometimes aggression, that is coming into that area of life of the second house. That's all coming to bear on matters of that second house environment. This can be good because Mars is how we get what we want. What we want is contained within the second house. So when Mars is in that environment, this could be very good. Uh, now it doesn't tell us the plan of transiting through a house. It doesn't tell us the specifics of that transit. Transiting through a house is only showing us what area of life is being affected by this. As we go along, we're going to talk about the very specifics of transits. We're going to talk about all the transits in themselves, then we will learn how to read transits after we learn about them all. So there's a, there's a go-getter attitude when Mars comes into the second house, and we want to get what we want. So our securities could, um, grow. They could not. Once again, as I always talk about, we get to choose. We can either grow or we can double down.

When we have Mars transiting through the third house, this is another busy time. Mars is a fire planet, is coming into what is naturally an air house. So with Mars transiting through the third house, there is more doing in that third house environment. With Mercury, it is more, um, the action of everyday life that we see more of. With Mars, it's more like, um, I'll explain it. It's like we push for the things that we want in that third house environment. So this could be very helpful if we have a particular opinion that we want to put forth, or if we are needing to win an argument, or we have a particular class that we need to boldly really pick up. Um, it is this can be very helpful having Mars go through the third house because the third house is where we find our courage. Mars is where we find another, uh, uh, you know, our our warlike attitude, our ability to win. So when it comes to that third house environment, this can stoke, stoke that fire of, um, oh, I guess of, uh, you know, self-gratification. So this is not actually a, a bad place for Mars to transit at all. Mars is pretty friendly to the third house. So we can find that we're driving faster. We can find that we are pushing the limits within that third house environment for a while.

Let's talk about the transits of Venus. So the transits of Venus bring experiences of romance, love, affection, desire, art, self-esteem, income, material security, beauty, appreciation, dating, and social gathering. Uh, so social life is very, very much a part of Venus. Transits are we going to interact? Dating, the social gatherings, buying things, preferences, eating out, enjoyment, investing, gratification. Not immediate gratification like Mars. Venus is more languid than how we want things or how we do things. So we look to Venus to show us a lot about, uh, what are those languishing experiences or those, uh, those money-spending experiences looking like, uh, dating, romance, beautiful things.

And when that comes into the first house, there is a focus on our look. The first house is the area of life where we find our looks. Venus is beauty. So we tend to focus on our presentation, our look. This is where we can care. I'm sure we've all had those cycles in our life where, uh, we just kind of get up one day and look in the mirror and think, you know, I don't know that I've really been putting as much into myself as I traditionally do. Maybe it's time to to clean things up a little bit, you know, get a haircut, get some organization about our physical life. I think all of us have gotten busy or have, uh, um, sometimes just, you know, found that we put on a few pounds that we didn't really notice. And we will notice those things when Venus goes through that first house. So there's a, uh, an awareness of, uh, of our own looks, our self-perception. We want to, you know, bring those experiences of beauty to bear on our confidence, our assertiveness, our self-views when it comes into the first house.

Venus transiting to the second house. This is the home of Venus. So when a planet that naturally rules a house is going through that house, it is much easier for that planet to operate in that environment. So the actions of Venus serve the purposes, the needs, the area of life of the second house, just extremely well. So the action of, um, gain, beauty, giving gratification, our material security is our income. The action related to that, the experiences that we will have of Venus are very much in tune with what the second house is. So this can be a time where we gain. We, uh, I feel like there's a higher quality to ourself or to life. We're concerned with qualities, evaluations. So we can see positive things come because, uh, Venus is an area of life that she's very akin to.

Venus transiting through the third. Uh, so this is the area of life where we find opinions and close friendships, sibling relationships, our skills. This is not a romantic area of life. This is a cerebral area of life. And we have experiences, changes, events related to romanticism and to evaluations and giving coming into the third house, which is not actually an area of life that is naturally served by those experiences. So, um, it can't be more difficult when a planet is transiting a house that it doesn't naturally have a lot in common with, and can be easier when a planet's transiting house it naturally has a lot in common with. So with, uh, Mercury transiting through the third, um, we can find, I think it is something that has to do with time. Venus going through the third house, we're out of time in the third. We have very little time. We want to pack everything into a certain amount of time. And Venus is where we like to take our time. Think of the qualities of Taurus, stop and smell the roses, not rushing, kind of plodding along. It's like, uh, like a big friendly heavy Clydesdale and the third house is like a racing little pony. So we have the Clydesdale coming into the barn of the pony. And, um, we can find that we can be more frustrated when it comes to the timing of the of other people, what we want. Uh, there's, there's that feeling of, you know, getting up for high school and having to get ready and you're, you know, the bus is on the way, but you can't figure out what you want to wear. So with Venus going through the third house, um, we have to learn to budget. We have to learn to to budget our time and to budget, um, uh, the amount of life that we're going to spend on pleasures. So there's a practicality that we come to with Venus transiting through the third house.

Uh, now, Serene, I've heard you say once, a third house is a brave house. Which sounds very Mars-y. Yes. Mars transiting the third, yes, that is a good, uh, something that will absolutely contribute to that bravery. Yes. Um, Venus in the third doesn't really go towards, uh, bravery itself.

So let's look at Jupiter. The transits of Jupiter, three experiences of growth, gratitude, excess, luck, expansion, benefit, faith, optimism, increase, overdoing it. So we can get into trouble with transits of Jupiter because we can sometimes believe in ourselves too much, or we can jump into pools with no water, or we can believe things that, uh, are very exciting and uplifting, but they may not be true. Most of the time, the transits of Jupiter are very, very good, but not all the time. Sometimes we can get ourselves into hot water. Jupiter's hot air. Sometimes that hot air is very beneficial because it can help us to take off into new adventures. It can give us the confidence to leap to something new. But sometimes that confidence is misplaced. And that's what Jupiter transits can show us is where we are appropriately confident and deserving and finding beneficial people and partnerships, or where we can find that we're full of hot air. Now we need to reevaluate.

So with Jupiter going through the first house, that faith, that optimism, the increase is coming into an area of life where we are confident. We are looking for something to make a new in a new stride. There's initiative. We want to get things going in the first house. Jupiter's naturally a fire planet. The first is a first is a naturally a fire house. Jupiter loves transiting the first house. This is a great place for Jupiter to be. Um, we may gain weight. We may, I know I did, 10 pounds angel food cake. Wait, Jupiter went through the first a while ago. But it brings confidence. It brings, um, increase in that area of life. We feel better about ourselves. [Laughter] [Music] Katie, I agree. We have a lot in common. Um, yes, we have confidence in our ability to eat things. Uh, it's a, it's a fun transit. Jupiter in the first is something a lot of people wait for because we are going to be launching into a new beginning. It's like we're very much, we have wind in our sails. That's what it is. As Jupiter's gone through the 12th, we've had the wind kind of coming out of our sails. Anything going through the 12th tends to have that effect. But as a planet comes over that the Ascendant into the first house, it's like the wind comes back into our sails and we can breathe again. We want to get up in the morning again because there's something to look forward to. It's a very energizing time of life with Jupiter going through the first house.

Jupiter going through the second house is very good too because it brings all the benefits, all the confidence, all the good stuff into the house of money. Yes, we can continue to get fat, however, with the Jupiter going through the second house because we like our luxuries in the second house and Jupiter is about decadence. So we eat angel food cake in the first and like seven layer candy bars in a second. Not getting much better in this area of life. In the third, though, we do see a thinning out. So in the second house, we have the our qualities increasing, the things that we we find to be of quality, our idea of quality. Sometimes we get a little bit more refined, well, like, uh, the higher end of things, when Jupiter comes into the second, and will continue to like the higher end of things as it leaves the second, kind of can change our tastes, bring them up to a more decadent level. Um, so we can have a lot of gains in that second house area of life. I, that's a great place for Jupiter to transit. He's bringing all of his, uh, good energy into where we would all like to have more stuff. So it can be very, very beneficial.

Jupiter in the third house. Jupiter is naturally opposite to the third. So when it comes into the third house, it's bringing the experiences related to a growth, belief into the house of opinions. This can be a very enlightening transit. We can learn a lot. We can also have the possibility on the other hand, there's always two sides. There's a possibility of just being a really irritating know-it-all when Jupiter's going through the third house. So we can come out of this more educated, but there's always the possibility that we can, uh, so, um, there can be benefit to our sibling relationships, our skills can increase, our opinions can become quite a lot bigger. But there's also the possibility that maybe we may educate ourselves or, um, be teachable when Jupiter is going through the third house. A lot of the potentials are going to depend on what kind of aspects is Jupiter making as it goes through that third house. So, uh, this is, this can be a fun time with Jupiter through the third, and it can be a time that absolutely increases our boldness. The third house, we tend to be very knee-jerk, similar to the first. The air signs and the fire signs are like that. We don't tend to have a lot of reflection, related to those. And the earth and water signs tend to be very reflective, very, there's a consideration, reflective, reflectiveness with the water signs, consideration with the earth signs, and, uh, go-forth attitude with the air and the fire signs. I would say that Libra is a little bit, a little bit different in its fixedness there. Um, so there's a, uh, an increase in all of those things in, in the third house. And and that could also mean we increase our activity. We're busier, uh, because Jupiter is where we find our meaning in life, and we may be finding a lot of meaning in the matters of the third house. That's where we're getting a lot of our, or we're focusing, I would say, a lot of our, uh, optimism, happiness, goodwill. It's just happening in that area of life. So we may even get a better job when Jupiter goes through the third. I think we had a comment. Let me pick this up here. Jamie, currently experiencing Jupiter transiting the Aquarius third house. Alrighty, and you are on the move. You are definitely doing Jupiter third house activities. That is fabulous. I love it. Um, it's so archetypally perfect.

So let's talk about Saturn. Saturn transits of Saturn bring experiences of direction, consequences, karma, responsibility, maturity, streamlining, prioritizing, success, and possibly failure as well. Sometimes things can fall apart under Saturn transits if we need them to fall back together better.

So with Saturn transits the first house, this is a very consequential transit, as all the outer planet transits are. From Jupiter on out, they are going to leave an impression. So with Saturn going through the first house, this is a new beginning when it comes to how we regard ourselves in the world at large. We're going to talk a lot about Saturn crossing this and this Ascendant going through the first house when we get to the Saturn module. We're going to really break that down. But this is a period of time where, um, we are getting smaller. Where Jupiter across the Ascendant went through the first, we get bigger and fatter and jollier and more expansive. We get thinner and more miserly and more careful and cheaper when Saturn crosses the Ascendant. So we're really taking stock of who we are and what we have. It's pretty serious stuff when Saturn crosses the first house.

Saturn in the second house is cleaning up our financial life. This is a period of time where we may find that we have less. And this could be where we are spending money to make money. It's like Saturn cleans up our portfolio. It goes through the second house, and we may also redefine our, um, uh, our investments, our physical assets. We can, uh, I say, learn to use those to the best of our ability, become more mature about what we really have to offer qualities. We can be much more finicky with Saturn going through the second. We only want the best. So our material possessions are something that gets, um, massively reevaluated with a very critical eye, and we have less. So we can get more. There's method behind the madness with Saturn going through the second. It causes us to really, um, support ourselves better. And sometimes that's as a consequence of having less. We have to become more efficient.

We're Saturday in the third house. Uh, our opinions, close friendships, signaling relationships, thinking skills, daily life, that's all having a look-see. We are re-evaluating how we run our lives when Saturn goes through the third. So the, the schedule that we keep, the way we order ourselves and our hours of our lives, that can, uh, be redone. Not the easiest place for Saturn to transit because Saturn is such a method, methodical kind of experience, and that's coming into the third house of where we've never been methodical. So we're learning. Saturn is teaching us a lesson, a deep, deep lesson in maturity and in delayed gratification and in organization and how that leads to success, like kind of life that we want. Any house that he's transiting through, that's what he's bringing there. So there's, uh, a sharpening of the skills that happen, the sharpening of the mind as well, that happens with Saturn transiting the third.

Transits of Uranus bring experiences of breakthroughs, clarity, liberation, sometimes authoritarianism, friendships, alienation, payoff, enlightenment, disruption, sudden beginnings, and or sudden endings, and possibly insight. Uranus is disrupting the area of life that he's transiting through. He is bringing long-term changes. Uranus may transit a house for seven years. The farther we go out when it comes to the planets and transits, the longer it's going to take to work on us. It's going to distill upon us and change us that, you know, ever more deeply. So when we're looking at Uranus transits, this is where we are potentially discovering ourselves. And Uranus has a lot to do with the truth of things, how things are outside of our coloring of the experience by our perception or by our own ego or our own identity. Uranus is just how things are removed from the individual.

So, um, the truth that we may see, uh, during a Uranus transit through any house, the truth is oftentimes extremely destructive. I think we romanticize the truth as something that's always like a silken coat or a comforter. No, sometimes the truth is extremely disruptive because it will destroy what you have built up and put in place based on what was untrue or what we thought was true. So with Uranus, we have those shattering experiences.

And when they happen in the first house, our look changes. The way we understand ourselves, our persona changes. The window to the world that the Ascendant represents, our main window of observation of perception, that radically changes. That window might even open. Usually doesn't stay open for most of us, but it may open from time to time. So our self-views, our confidence, our initiative is very high with Uranus in the first house. If you have wanted to say, move to a foreign country, or you don't speak the language and you don't have much money, but you've always wanted to be there, this is the time to do it because we feel like we are unstoppable when it comes to taking chances or just doing something new or launching ourselves into the unknown. So we're willing to accept things about ourselves that we didn't know that we didn't know, and we had to move on. There's an excitement with the Uranus crossing the first house and being in the first house.

Uranus in the second house is disrupting what we've worked for. It's disrupting our investments, our securities. So we can have a better quality of those things, disrupting the quality of things in the second house. And so we can feel that there's a period of time throughout our life where your physical safety, material stability, continuity is very much challenged. And it isn't going to last forever. It will not last forever. Uranus transits in about two years, three years tops to fully complete. But there's a, um, a redo that happens in whatever house Uranus is in, and we're redoing our qualities and really looking at things, um, in a more detached way. The second house is not a detached area of life. And so we're bringing our our ability to streamline and to live with less and enjoy life more into that area of life. We actually do want more. So we can actually have a lot of wisdom come out of this transit.

Uranus coming through the third house. Our opinions, our sibling relationships, our thinking, our skills, our nervous system, our learning, all these things can be disrupted. This can be a genius transit. We can be extremely innovative, extremely inventive, and see things very much, I see more scientifically and more cerebrally as Uranus goes through the third house. Uh, more transit, we're doing disruptive innovation when Uranus comes in to the third house. So we may find that what we've been doing, the skills we've had, the daily routine we've had, it ain't serving us anymore. That's getting shaken up entirely with Uranus in that third house. So, uh, we need to have our nervous system looked at when Uranus goes to the third, in my opinion. We need to be adjusted. This is an extremely flexible area of life. We have extreme flexibility of experience coming into it. So we need to address those things.

Katie, can insights regarding the self happen all over the course of being in the first, since it's? Yes, absolutely. Yes. I'm glad you asked that. Yes, it isn't just going to happen as it crosses the Ascendant. Any planet going through the first house, we're having those realizations about ourselves for the time that it's moving through that first house environment. Yeah, and that could be, um, you know, come in waves because usually when we're under the pressure of a transit, it's not like in our face all the time. It kind of moves in and out, comes and goes, and those retrograde forward periods. Well, some days we're really, really focused on this, and other days where we didn't think about it too much. And it's kind of that movement of a planet through any house. So as is going through the first, yeah, there's definitely more going on there in any angular house. Yeah.

Let's talk about transits of Neptune. The infamous Neptune and Pluto are next. So delusion, spirituality, sensitivity, idealism, high romance, isolation, clarity, possibly insight, letting go, surrender, yes, shame, maybe. These are all experiences that we expect to come across when we have Neptune transiting through an area of life or to a planet.

So with Neptune coming into the first house, there's a major self-reevaluation going on there. We are learning to incorporate the collective, how others see us and know us to be, into how we know ourselves. And that could be more or less easy depending on who we are. We have a lot of seventh house plan. First, I was planning on the seventh. Probably going to be a much more difficult thing. I know, I apologize. Seventh house planets in the first, that could be a much more difficult thing. So there's a, um, makeover that happens in the first house. Neptune erodes, and then there's a process of very slow rebuilding. So the erosion of our perception, our window to the world, and typically that's going to become more foggy and then become more clear during the course of those transits. And we talked in last lesson about how the retrograde periods of Neptune can be more clarifying. So our, uh, the self-perception, our looks, our strength, usually suffers with Neptune going through the first house. Um, our confidence, our initiative, and again, our self-views are morphing huge with, uh, Neptune going through the first. We can have less energy, less available to us. Need to sleep more. We need to take care of ourselves more, spiritually and mentally and physically, in the sense that we need to make sure that we're retreating. We need to make sure we're getting enough sleep, that we are having that period of, um, night time. It's like, uh, our physical body is put to sleep for a while. We just have to allow that to be the case. We get to rest.

With Neptune going through the second house, this can be erosive to income, self-values, material possessions, valuations, physical safety and security. We're learning to stand on our own two feet with Neptune coming into the second house. We're learning to support ourselves and to work if we have to. Um, and, uh, bringing those experiences of sensitivity, high romance, I'm into an area of life where we really do want to feel safe. Neptune is not so much concerned with the safety as romanticism. Neptune, a practical. So we're bringing him into a practical area of life and, uh, learning to see, uh, our own qualities much more clearly, learn to see what we offer, our own abilities, those that we come to depend on, what we feel we love, because we can all struggle with loving our possessions. But I think that we can potentially come to understand that when we understand what we uniquely individually possess, really fall in love with that, that's a type of romance with the self. So there can be a deeper security that we can come to with Neptune in a second.

Neptune in the third. We're really struggling with clarity of thought and with, uh, learning, understanding what's what, parsing out the facts, our ability to discriminate between one thing and the other, to know this from that, very, very hard during that period of time. It's harder to make very critical decisions. We need to get more opinions with Neptune in the third house. We need to get the opinions of experts and people who know what they're talking about. And so to go with our own opinion, because often we're not clear in that third area of life for a while. We're developing better facts, better ways of understanding. So we're, uh, discovering what's more true in the realm of facts versus fiction. And it's just very, very helpful to get advice and input from people who know what they're doing. So say if you are investing in a new mattress, find a mattressologist. If you are getting a new dog, ask somebody who knows about that breed of dog. We need to get more information because we can find that there's, there could be a lot of disappointment with Neptune going through the third, because what we think is and then the reality in tune. So we need to ask good questions. We're learning to do that. We're learning to learn to tell more facts from fiction with, uh, Neptune transiting through the third house.

Transits of Pluto. So Pluto going through the first house, absolutely infamous transit. Anytime Pluto is transiting a point or the, you know, is in the first, fourth, seventh, tenth, major life-altering event. So we bring all those experiences of letting go, extreme change, pressure, transformation, giving up, obsession, sometimes we may have a kundalini experience or some energy rise or something, repressed release of guilt, that's coming into that, uh, at that first house of how we see ourselves. Our, our look dramatically changes with a Uranus or even Pluto crossing the Ascendant. Uh, yes, we can let go. We can't get thinner. We can get gaunt, even. We can experience a purge or even some health problems, crisis when it comes to our physical self, our health problems. This is a wonderful time to explore plant medicines like ayahuasca, psilocybin, natural medicines that can help us to to open some doors that perhaps the ego or the identity typically keeps close to us. There's a way that we can access different parts of our ego, sublimate the ego. This is not in our way. The community beyond it. These are not party experiences. These are serious experiences. These are not experiences that are about escapism. We don't use plant medicines to escape. We use plant medicines to integrate and to meet and to relate and to heal.

Bringing Pluto into the second house in a transit, our material possessions, the way we value ourselves, our physical possessions, this all gets a remake. And Pluto may spend a long time in a house depending on what sign rules that house in our chart. Um, but, uh, we are learning what we are more on a spiritual level rather than a material level with, uh, Pluto going through the second. We're gonna experience some major confrontations with death anxiety with this placement because Pluto is naturally opposite to the second. Um, so we have our physical, you know, life Venus coming up out of the half shell in the second house, and we have death, we have, uh, Pluto with his scythe in the eighth house. So when it's coming through the second house, we're getting, uh, honest about what those eighth house matters really are. It can be quite, it's always upsetting wherever Pluto is transiting, but it is something where it's a long-term reevaluation that we're doing of ourselves, really learning to appropriately value ourselves.

With Pluto transiting through the third house, uh, it's going to be those experiences of change, letting go, pressure, giving up, obsession coming into the area of life we experience thinking, close friendships, siblings, everyday life, opinions, our nervous system, learning. That's a long-term transit that can remake over our opinions. We can become more of a critical thinker with Pluto going through the third house. We can even deal with paranoias as Pluto is going through the third house, obsessive thinking, OCD compulsions, really learning how to think ourselves past our fears and to come up with more effective, honest ways of running our daily life. We can say hard things with Pluto in the third house. We may come up with some truth bombs. Uh, we can experience experience facets of ourselves that, well, in any house, Pluto will bring that experience of different facets of ourselves. But in the context of the third house, it's when it comes to what we think, our opinions, what can we actually do. So Pluto is where we cut the, and it's in the first house, we're cutting it when it comes to how we present ourselves, what we think about ourselves. In the second house, what we owe, what we collect, what we need. And a third house, what we think. And we can become sharper in our, our, our beliefs and our opinions. Um, very, very long-term transit having Pluto in any one house.
