We are discussing CLOD code today. It's a Pandora's Box for programmers. It's a very powerful tool, in fact, it's the future of artificial intelligence where code can create and modify itself.

If you want to install CLOD code on Windows, you won't be able to do it directly because it runs on Linux. You will need to install a special system called WSL, Windows Subsystem for Linux, which allows you to run applications, packages, and work with the Linux command line within Windows as if it were a native program.

So, the first thing you do is install WSL. Then, the need for the next application arises, which is called Linux. WSL won't work without the operating system itself. What WSL does is usually done automatically. WSL installs Ubuntu, one of the most popular Linux distributions. If for some reason this doesn't happen automatically, you will have to do it yourself. So, these two components will need to be installed.

But that's not all. Next, you will need to install Node.js. This is software that allows you to run JavaScript outside the browser, in this case, on your PC. You will need it both for CLOD code to work and for it to install correctly.

Another component you will need to install is called npm, Node Package Manager. This is a tool for managing packages, libraries, and modules in the Node.js ecosystem. Once these four components are installed, you can proceed to install CLOD code. This is done directly, in fact, from the Linux terminal that starts working when WSL is running. You launch the CLOD code installation.

Thus, to get this powerful system to work on Windows 11, you will need to install five applications. In reality, all of this is described in detail on the anopic website, and you can follow the steps. Moreover, you can simply ask the CLOD system and say, "Explain to me how to install CLOD code," and it will give you step-by-step instructions on how it's done. But undoubtedly, if you follow what I'm explaining now, it will all go much faster and smoother.

Phew, we've figured out the installation. Now I'll show you how to start using this amazing toy for programmers more quickly.

On the first launch, CLOD code requests authentication through the OpenAI system. Currently, there's high demand for the system, so it's possible you'll be put in a queue. Don't worry, you'll need to pause, close the terminal, and wait. For example, I waited a day until I received a message by email. I hope it goes even faster for you.

And finally, one more important point: it won't work for free. You need to have an API user account and deposit some minimal funds into your account. If I'm not mistaken, the minimum is $5. This way, the system can use your API and connect to cloud resources for CLOD code to perform various tasks. I'm explaining this in such detail because installing CLOD code is not as simple as it might seem at first glance.

The next time you open the terminal, you'll likely need to do it in two steps. You'll need to start WSL first to get into Ubuntu, and then execute the CLOD command to actually launch CLOD.

Here, I want to share my experience on how to interact with this application and what you can do from the very first moments of working with this wonderful tool. First, you need to navigate to your project directory, to the place where your files are stored. Most often, these are Python files that it works with, but it can also work with other languages. For example, I work with JavaScript, and it works very well too.

Undoubtedly, CLOD code's efficiency will be higher when you are in the same directory as the necessary files. And the first question you can ask it is: "Please tell me what I have here." And most often, it analyzes all the files very well. If you have a task file, a text file describing what needs to be done, it also reviews this text file. It reviews all the code and tells you in detail what this code intends to do and what tasks are set for the team consisting of you and CLOD code, which will be implementing this project.

The next command is a direct slash command, "Help," which allows you to get assistance immediately. Another useful command is called "init." It creates a file containing context and instructions for CLOD code to work. This is useful if, for example, you want to continue working in a few days.

And finally, you should understand that in the terminal, there's an input element for communicating with your chat, with your chatbot, where you can simply ask questions in plain Russian. So, you shouldn't have any problems if you don't know how something works, how to grant access, or how to perform a particular action. You ask it questions in ordinary Russian words, and it tells you.

And this is how work on the code begins. You set a task, and then you proceed to implement it, saying, "Implement," "Execute," and the code starts like an electric current. It saves itself, finds any errors, and corrects these errors. But most often, you need to look at the program's performance and draw conclusions about what needs to be changed or added.

As for my experience, I implemented this wonderful project with CLOD code: a visualization of a neural network's operation. There's a tablet, and also the neural network itself, which performs calculations. On the tablet, you can write different digits. This is one of the classic educational examples based on the MNIST dataset, which allows recognizing digits. And you can immediately observe how the neural network works, how the neural network's thoughts move due to the activation of various neurons, and you can see with what probability it predicts one option or another.

I started this project with Grok 3. The project turned out to be quite complex, requiring many iterations. I can even say that I didn't even start with Grok 3; I started with GPT 4o, and nothing worked. The task was too complex for the language model. And only the first Grok 3 managed the visual part. It wrote this interface where the user enters information, the neural network appears, it created the external design, adjusted the fonts, and got stuck there. And then I connected CLOD code to bring this system to perfection. Underneath this code is a quite powerful neural network that performs all these calculations to correctly recognize a particular digit.

We completed such a task. It wasn't entirely a task for CLOD code because, in reality, it works best with Python files that it can run on your computer. With Python, you immediately get the visual appearance of the working program, and in this case, CLOD code can even work with iterations.

So, this is an initial introduction for those who want to try CLOD code. I am almost certain that the future lies with such agents, and I think by the end of this year, we will have a whole range of similar agents that will actively write code for us, for users who may not know programming languages at all. It's important to formulate the task clearly, to understand what you want to get, and such a system will allow you to implement quite complex tasks. The possibilities of coding, by and large, are limitless. It could be creating a book, or it could lay out a layout for you in InDesign. I take on tasks that interest me, like editing video clips or running trading bots, calculating stock prices, and so on and so forth. There are no limits. This is the strong side of a large language model, that it can generate code, and currently, on the market, CLOD Sonnet 3.7, on which CLOD code is based, is the best model for these purposes.
